Pics become pixelated when saving from internet.

Has anyone else noticed that after the most recent iPhone software update, any picture that you save from email is pixelated? My friend took a picture with her iphone and emailed it to me. I saved it to my iphone and when I look at it in my camera roll it is pixelated.
Anyone else have this problem? Any suggestions?
Thanks,
JNK

It's exactly that. It's the update. The only real advice is to wait until the next update. I'm sure several thousand complaints have been sent to Apple reguarding this. So yea, just hang in there.

I think that may be a consequence of the email provider she is using. Some services (AOL is one example) inspect and modify email attachments, particularly photos, resulting in reduced resolution compared to the email that was sent.
The iPod does not do this. The resolution of the picture in the email she receives will be identical to what is imported.

  • Smart objects become pixelated when re-scaled?

I have Photoshop CS5.5 running on Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit. When I place vector objects from Illustrator and then go to re-scale them they become pixelated. I check the Anti-alias box before commiting the place, but they still pixelate when re-scaled.
Here is a screenshot to illustrate what I mean....

Are you using the move tool or Edit>Free transform to scale?
Does it make any difference if you use Edit>Free Transform with the anti-alias checked?
Also in the photoshop Edit>Preferences>General check that the Image Interpolation is set to Bicubic.

  • Images saved from internet websites

Help. It seems that when we e-mail photo's (even a single photo), the slideshow is capturing images from internet websites we have visited previously. How do configure the settings such that website images are not saved and thus potentially added to photoshop? It tends to confuse folks to whom we send photo's when they start to see images from websites the kiddos visit (Disney, Nickelodian etc.).
    Thanks,
    Tim

Vibha, thank you very much for taking time to try to help. I think Jim Jutte also suggested what you did, and I have made the adjustments. Because of my concern over this matter however, I stopped using Adobe for my pictures. So I'm not sure if it will work.
What will let me know is when a friend e-mails me some pictures using Adobe Photohouse, and if it has the 'slideshow' feature with it. I will try it and that will no doubt show me if my adjustment worked. (Actually, I guess I could send myself some pictures to one of my own e-mails, and that would tell the story, huh?)
    Nevertheless, thank you.

Is WebStart to be taken seriously as a deployment vehicle for a commercial application or should I be looking at other solutions?
Also: How do I report bug to Oracle? Do you have to pay for support in order to report bugs?

  • Need to see ALL files in folder when saving from Word 2003 OR Word 2013 program

Here is the issue.... A customer of mine has the need to save files in order (Communications with customers by date and time)
BUT..... when saving the file word does not let him see ALL the documents (.doc AND .docx) in the save dialog. (I know we could convert but there seems to be issues with the conversion, at least on the research I have done)
Is there a way for the Word save dialog box to display ALL the files in the selected folder?  OR is this just an undocumented feature OR a WOW we never thought of that....
    Thanks!

    Hi,
When we save a Word document, the "Save As" dialog only displays these files which are the same type as the one we are trying to save. To display other types of files, select from the "Save as type" box, but I haven't realized there's a way to show
all types of files when saving. This is just how it works so far.
    Thanks,

  • Photo's are pixelated when chosen from Aperture library in System Prefs.

When I go to system preferences to choose my background image, all my Aperture Images are extremely pixelated when clicked on.
Example: If I have a 1440 x 900 image to perfectly fit my background it appears as a stretched out 640 x 480 extremely low res image.
But if I export the photo from Aperture than drag it into the background drop box in System Preferences/Desktop & Screen Saver the images looks like it should. It's just that this way takes way more time and is a hassle.
    Any idea? common problem?
    Aperture 2.1 on 10.5.3

You my friend are a genius! worked like a charm!
    Thanks
One more question not related the pixelation is that in System Preferences/Desktop & Screen Saver
Two 'Aperture Projects' come up with identical content in them of my Aperture Library. Both with the little triangle expander to the left of them. I can't understand why there are two of the exact same thing.

  • Photos become blurry when saved on safari

    Hi,
I am using the 32GB iTouch, and whenever I use Safari and find an image I want to save, it usually is blurred and very low quality. Almost like it saved a thumbnail instead of the full resolution image.
On a rare occasion, the photo might come out clear and in full resolution, while many don't.
I was unsure why the photos saved from Safari are low quality thumbs, was it meant to be this way? is there any way to make the itouch save the full resolution image, rather then a thumbnail of the image?
    Thanks.

Firstly it doesn't matter what size the image is, even if it's the standard ipod touch screen size, it will still display blurry. It's a bug. This is a pathetic limitation and should be an embarrassment to the company.
Secondly, the issue happens even when you've saved the image from Mail. That being said, if you were to open up Twinkle, and share this blurry photo with the world, they will see it as clear and perfect as all getup. Then if you go and look at your photo in Twinkle you will see that the image is clear, and yet still blurred in your photo container on the ipod.
You're trying to tell me that this thing that can support running 3d applications and games is so inferior that it can't display a image without time traveling back to 1988?
Give me a break, Apple better fix this. It makes them look cheap.

  • Photos become pixelated when moved to new photo album?

If I create a new photo album and select photos from camera roll or photo stream, once moved, they become pixelated in both locations. Help?

    Did I miss something?
The Shared Photo Stream is supposed to show  the photos in the order that you add them to the stream - the newesst photos at the end of the stream. But that will not work, if you add all photos at once. I find, I get he best results by adding the photos one by one, and letting each photo upload, before I add the next one.

  • Help w/ Newsletter created in Photoshop becoming pixelated when emailed

    Hi all,
I created a newsletter using Adobe Photoshop. However, when I use an email client to email it out, it becomes very pixelated. I have changed the dpi and it still becomes pixelated. Currently, the newsletter is set to 100 DPi but still becomes pixelated. How would I be able to fix this? I use iContact to email the newsletter and the actual image (bc it is rather large) is hosted on Photobucket. Early thanks for the help!

Photoshop just doesn't do Newsletters very well.  Even MS Word would be better. Much better.  If you can use something like inDesign, or MS Publisher, and save as a PDF, your text will be perfect regardless of how much you zoom in, and it would produce a much smaller file size.  Plus you can have live links (hyperlinks), or hyperlink the images to larger versions (if you have somewhere to put them online.  With inDesign you can doo all sorts of wonderful things making a really impressive document that would be fun to create, and impress your readers.

  • ACL's disappear when saving from Word

I've got a strange problem. When I drag files from the finder to different folders on a share, acl's are being propagated. But when I open a Word file on the server, save it to the server, acl's are being stripped from the file.
The share is hosted on a Xsan reshare.
    Any ideas?
    Patrick

It's kinda working....I have some folders wehere different people can work with different rights. Now a user who normaly has read only read rights to a specific folder, has all the rights to files saved from Word. Finder copies are respected by the acl's. I tried Textedit, and Textedit has the same issue as Word!
    This is really weird...Somebody?

  • My HP dv6 1030us laptop becomes slow when removed from AC power

    Hi,
My HP DV6 laptop has windows 7 operating system and it behaves pretty weirdly .
It becomes really slow when removed from AC Power and have to restart my system to bring it to normal speed don't know why its behaving like that and help to resolve the problem would be greatly appreciated and also my system gets overheated a lot and I have to use a cooling pad always to keep it cool and running properly along with AC power
I would greatly appreciate any advice in resolving these issues.
    Thanks in advance.

for how long have you had this laptop... If you had it for longer than a year you may be dealing with a dust bunny (acumulation of dust in the vent that's right beside the fan). Normally when that vent is clogged you get the type of overhetaing you may be experiencing, so i recomend you to open it up and give it a nice clean as soon as you can. As for your computer slowing down without the ac adapter.
Do you know under what power option are you running ur computer?

  • Jpeg thumbnails too small when saved from Photoshop

Since moving to Snow Leopard, I notice that the Finder shows jpegs saved from Photoshop quite a bit smaller than jpegs saved using other apps, like Preview or just scanned images. This makes viewing the thumbnails in the Finder harder. Does anyone know why this is happening and how to fix it?
I would post a screen grab to show this, but I can't see how to do that here. If anyone knows, please let me know.
    Thanks

That's because Photoshop creates its own rather smallish icons (by the new standards) for the files. If you remove custom thumbnails and let Finder draw them they'll be scalable all the way up to 512x512. There is a preference from within Photoshop to tell it to NOT create icons. Go to PS prefs, select Saving Files, and turn off Image Previews. The advantage is that the icons can be drawn larger; the disadvantage is that they will appear in Finder more slowly, since instead of simply displaying what is there Finder has to draw the icons. Furthermore, Finder doesn't always draw the icons with the clarity one would expect: sometimes they never do appear as sharp as they ought to be (there are several very lengthy threads discussing this problem, with no real solution), sometimes they slowly appear in all their large glory.
Oh, and to post a picture, as in my signature, you have to have the image available somewhere online, then add an image tag.

Now if you want to save a png image as a jpg you need to buy software to do that.
