Pics on my nano

I have tried to upload pics to my nano without any luck. I keep getting the error "cannot read or write to the disk". Has anyone had this problem and if they did how did you solve it. Also is there a way to contact apple to just ask support questions????

On your PC, create a folder that contains the photos you want to transfer. Or pick photos from your Adobe PhotoShop Album 2.0 or higher or Elements 3.0 collections.
With your iPod connected, select your iPod in the iTunes source list and then click the iPod Options button.
In the iPod preferences window, click the Photos tab.
Select an iPhoto album or choose Other to select the folder, or other location, of photos on your hard disk (iTunes can not access photos that are stored on a locked volume, like a CD).
Click OK, and then watch as your iPod is updated, transferring your photos along with your music. Storing images on your iPod will take up more space than just your music.
When the update is complete, eject your iPod and disconnect it from your computer.

  • Transferring pics in the nano, tutorial didnt help.

I got my ipod nano about 3 days ago and so far everything about it is just superb, except for the complications im getting with trying to transfer pics into it. I followed the tutorial step by step and watched itunes update my nano after i synchronized it with my folder full pics. The problem is that when i eject the ipod from itunes and disconnect it from my PC as directed, the ipod's photo menu doesnt show any pictures. It just shows "slideshow settings". I would appreciate any help from anyone. Thank You.

    Welcome to Apple Discussions!
Click the iPod icon in iTunes when the iPod appears under the source pane in iTunes (Click "name's" iPod)
Does it say there are any photos on it?

  • No pics on my nano!

Hi you know when you buy a song off itunes you should get the album picture next to it? Well mine doesnt have that! i also want to put photos onto it. any ideas? Is anyone elses really sensitive mine flicks through the menu when im not touching it - ie if its sitting on a surface? Bit spooky!

you can simply go find the album of the song u downloaded and right click "save picture as" then save it in a folder, then enable album art in itunes so a box shows up in the left hand corner then drag the pic u saved to that box. As for your menu moving you probly moving it your self, or using a case, in that case clean your ipod clean case then try it again and if ur not using a case take ur nano back, or email Apple.

  • Help! Pic on Nano

I want to put pics on my nano, i try to use photoshop album and the defult windows folder, and using itunes but everytime i try it it only say optmizion the photo, but not acturally transfering the pic on to the ipod, so i need help in that

The nano prioritizes music over photos, so take care that you're A) not putting on too much music, and B) that when the alert "would you like to remove the photos to make more room for your music?" appears that you select "no." also in the photos option be sure "copy full resolution photos" is NOT selected (you can't connect the nano to a TV so there's no point). finally if you're still having trouble, try syncing your ipod with little or no music, and see if the photos are viewable then. Assuming they are, copy more music until you get the aforementioned alert message... then simply select cancel. that's when you know it's full

  • Deletin pics from nano

hey how can i delete pics from my nano..

Have to move from the directory you are syncing to on your hard drive. If you have them in My Pictures, move the ones you don't into another directory, then sync and the pics you want removed will be deleted.

  • Deleting pics from nano

I mistakenly synced more pics to my nano than I wanted to.  How do I delete the unwanted pics from my nano?
    Apple manual is useless.

To remove songs from your nano (automatic transfer mode) you should go to you library uncheck the boxes at the side of the songs you want to get rid of, then connect your ipod and it will update without these songs. If you are on manual transfer mode, connect your ipod, wait for it to register in itunes, then click on "Your Ipod" find the songs you dont want, right click and go to clear.
    Hope this helps

  • Adding additional pics to Nano, how?

I've added several pics to my nano from one pc, now would like to add some more from a different mac. Is there a way to do this without wiping out what I had previously added? As per the pop up, it seems that if I set up a new folder and synch, it will erase the previously loaded pics that are not in the new folder. Pls advise!!
    Thank,
    OBM

Set the Nano to disk use (iTnes->Prefs) attach to other mac. Do not attach that machines iTunes library. Drag the pics on the newly mounted iPod drive. Re-plug back into other mac. Open desktop mounted iPod drive and drag photos to wherever you keep them and sync to iPod via iTunes.
Let me know if you need more detailed instructions

Jason, I made a folder in iPhoto and put my photos I wanted on the Nano in it.. Then I plugged the Nano in and opened iTunes then preferences.. Then clicked on the iPod icon then the photos tab and checked the folder and the Nano downloaded them.. I'm on a mac, don't know if your on a windows box... If so I don't know how it works for that...

  • Viewing Photos on a Nano

I need some guidance as to where I am going wrong..
I have set iTunes to sync the photos from a folder I have set up for my Nano, it tells me it is syncing the pics etc..
But how do I view them on my Nano?? Under "Photos" I only have "Slideshow Settings". I cant seem to find any option for viewing photos or for starting a slideshow.
Like I said, transferring the photos to the Nano isnt a problem, its viewing them thats the issue.
I have read throught the first 40 pages on here and watched the video tutorial etc, but none of them show how to view!!
Thanks in advance for any help.
    Mark

    Sorted it out!!!!!
It would appear that iTunes doesnt bother looking at the memory used up by photos when it shows the available space on the Nano. It performs the syncing of the photos with iTunes, but until there is more space available than the initial folder size you are trying to sync it wont complete the syncing by transferring them to the Nano.
I have just deleted some songs off and for some reason it then completed the sycning and transferred the pics to the Nano.
Now I have more menu options under "Photos" and I can view the pictures!!
    Thanks

  • HOW CAN I DELETE PICTURES FROM MY NANO???????????

I TRIED EVERYHTING,I CHECKED EVERYTHING,BUT I JUST CAN'T FIGURE OUT HOW TO DELETE SOME PICS FROM MY NANO. I DIDN'T CHECK THE PICS BEFORE I TRANSFERRED IT TO MY iPOD,AND NOW I WANT TO DELETE SOME OF THEM.
    PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi. I had the same problem as you. I was shocked to find some interesting pictures saved onto my ipod!!
I've double and trible checked the support and found nothing to help. Out of desperation I went back into itunes, then cliked on the Ipod button, chose the "Photos" tab and unticked the "synchronize" button (so to stop any further downloads).
A window then popped up, asking whether I would like to remove ALL the photos on the Ipod - fantastic!!! (Oh I also had the Ipod in "Disk use" at the time but I don't know whether this matters.)
It took a time but it did it. I know you only want to delete some of them but you could wipe them all out and then move your wanted photos into a new folder within Pictures directory for example and then re-synch your Ipod just with that new folder.
I would try it now but I need some sleep after trying to fix this stupid problem for the last half hour.
    Good luck with yours!

  • Help!  iphoto import to new iMac

Here's the situation. I just purchased a new iMac. (Love it by the way). I also have an old iBook. As my luck always has it, the night I'm setting up the iMac, my iBook goes on the fritz. I can't get it to boot, etc. Anyway, luckily (I thought), I have my iPhotos on my iPod nano. I just can't get them to import into the new iPhoto library on the new iMac. Anybody know how to do this? Also, what about the music stuck on the iPod? Only some of it transferred when I authorized the account. I think it was only the purchased music from itunes. Any way to get the other stuff transferred over? Thanks in advance!

When you put the pics onto the Nano, iPhoto makes tiny thumbs of the pics - otherwise you would have no room for the music. So, unless you ticked a box in iTunes to copy the full sized pics, all that are on the Nano are these minute thumbs. So, yes, go to your apple store and get the pics off the iBook.
    Regards

  • Transfert pictures

    Hello
is it possible to transfer picture from memory card to my mini ipod without using a computer??
thanks for your help and advice!
    val

I very much doubt it. I believe using a computer is the only way to transfer your pictures into your iPod. And actually, I just finished transferring my pictures into my iPod Nano using my computer - it couldn't do it from my memory card so I just placed my pictures in a different folder (I used Photoshop Album, for example) and my pictures transferred just fine. It's great, I can actually see the pics in my Nano..
