Picture Center alignment in a page

Hi,
Can we do center alignment of an image in crystal reports?
The scenario is like this.
1. Created a OLE object in details section.
2. Defined the detail section as "Format with multiple columns.
3. OLE object grpahic location is defined as the file name and location comes from database.
Here, in database, I defined the pciture size as Small, Medium and large. Based on that, we are adjusting the spaces in the report.
For example, if there are 4 small images, I am displaying those images in a single page. As I defined the details section with "Format with multple columns", I can make 4 small images display in one page.
If there are medium images, I am displaying 2 images in a single page.
If there are large imates, only one I am displaying in a page.
This setting is done based on the image size given in database.
Here the issue comes, as even though the image size can fit into one portion of page, the image size is defined either as medium or large. And the image is by default left aligned.
Here I would like to center align the object, so that, the page won't look odd.
Is there any way we can do this?
Thank you,
Regards,
Gowtham

Hi,
The page can have something called regions. You can place portlets in these regions. If you are on 309 you add regions by editing the page. if you are on 902 then you can do it by editing the layout of the page.
Hope that helps.
Thanks,
Sharmila

  • Center-align iWeb pages?

    Is there a code to use to center align an iWeb page, as in vertically, so that no matter what screen size/resolution you have, the page will stay in the middle of the browser, instead of at the top?

    All objects on an iWeb page are fixed and do not move when a browser window is resized. The page itself is centered horizontally.
    iWeb does not support vertically centered pages. And from other forums I gather it is not easily done with custom code.
    But it can be done. Here's a custom page that centers and scales in all directions :
    http://www.wyodor.net/Centered/
    Study the code.
    To make it work in iWeb you need a JavaScript and knowledge of how iWeb creates its pages.
    Perhaps this page guides you in the direction you want. If you can resize the objects, you can resize the page vertically :

  • In ALV I want to align Top-Of-Page in Center which contains some TEXT

    Hi Abap Gurus',
                          In ALV's i want to align TOP-OF-PAGE in center.
    Which contains some TEXT.
    Can you please help me out.
    Points will be Given.
    Many thanks
    Anil Roy.

    hi anil
    The header line is always left-justified .
    We basically have three options for formatting :
    S , A and H.
    every line in Alv top-of-page is of 60 char length(slis_listheader-info).so i think the only option we have is to add required spaces to the left and display the required string

  • How to center align preview page

    When I preview my webpage (which I am creating in fireworks) in the browser it is to the left of the page, How do I center align it?? Thank you in advance for your help

    You shouldn't be creating your total web page in Fireworks, only the graphics  :-)
    You should slice up the images you need and then export those and use them in your HTML or via the stylesheet as background images.  A web page that is full of images will only slow down the loading plus not be indexed by search engines...
    To then center the page, you need to use CSS to to align the page in the center of the browser window regardless of window size.  This again, is done when you move over to the HTML editor, not in FWs.
    A good tutorial that may help the transition from taking a FWs comp to HTML

  • How to put a tab space in a center aligned paragraph and have it remained centered?

    I am trying to put a tab spacing within a paragraph that is center aligned but when I press the tab button it pushes the paragraph to the left. How do I solve the problem? I have several lines I need to do this for so adjusting it one but one is a bit tedious.

    I don't use Captchas because they are not web friendly.  Humans have a hard time reading them which often leads to form submission failures and frustration.  I much prefer the Honeypot (hidden input field) method.  It traps spam bots who cannot resist filling in fields because they don't use CSS or JavaScript.  If the hidden field contains any characters, your form processing script can be set-up to flag that as spam and abort the submission.  Humans never see the hidden field, so it works seamlessly behind the scenes.   There's no limit on how many hidden form fields you can have on a page.

    Have you tried adding the following css selector to your css file.
    .nav-bar a {
        text-align: center;
    or insert it in the <style> tag you have on the page:
      <style type="text/css">
      body {
        margin-left: 200px;
      .n {
        text-align: center;
    .nav-bar a {
        text-align: center;

  • Defining a Center Aligned Table in a WebI Report ?

    I sure hope I'm missing something, but one of our developers has been struggling with this for days and it seems like such an obvious report building exercise.  I looked myself and couldn't see how to do it either... not even using something crafty.
    The basic problem is that we have some content that will change every time the report is run, so we put this data in a one row table with the "show when empty" feature disabled for the cells and "auto-fit width" turned on.  If we could just center align the resulting table we would be fine, but the only way to center align it is to select another item and then use the center align feature.  However, that is a one-time operation that simply calculates the offset given the current data.  If the report is run again with different prompts (for example) the table size may be different, but the center offset is not recalculated because there is no way to mark the table for center alignment.
    So we need the table to be center aligned (either to the page, report header, or another element would work for us) because it will have multiple (optional cells).  Also, FYI, we can't just put it all in one forumla and let the cell content be centered... because we're actually embedding multiple hyperlinks in those other cells... in a borderless table... to get a centered block effect on the results.
    Any suggestions?  Only thing we've come up with is to insert padding cells that we set to Fixedsys fond and then calculate a space Fill() on based on the other results... but that's really messy and seems like overkill for something that's normally a "bread and butter" report building feature.

    Hi Ray,
    As I understand you want to Centre align the table , but when you select the  table centre align feature is disabled and you can only align the text in the table.
    You can use Relative Positioning Feature to align the Table in relation to the Bottom, top, Left and right edge of the report and other block. This feature allows user to fix the position of the table even if data in the table changes and auto-adjust the table position when block data or another block data changes.
    You can manually drag the table to the centre of the report; set the alignment of the text to the centre, when your data changes the, WEBI wonu2019t change the position of the table nor it changes the text alignment.
    Please paste the report data here so that I can understand how you want to display the table data and your statement u201Cwe put this data in a one row table with the "show when empty" feature disabled for the cells and "auto-fit width" turned on.
    Do you have any other blocks of data in your reporting along with the table data that you want to centre align?
    I Hope this Helpsu2026
    Thanksu2026.

  • How to center a title in pages without moving any text above it?

    I want to have text in the top corner and a title below like this:
    Name
    Professor
    Class
    Date
    Assigment
                                                                                                                   Insert title here
    But everytime I try to use the center align button to move my title, it moves the five lines above it as well. Selecting the text I want to move and then aligning it does not work either. I recently updated to the most recent version of pages available. Is there a hidden setting I need to turn on/off for this to happen? I have never encountered this problem in microsoft word.

    You haven't typed a return at the end of each line.
    Paragraph styling unsurprisingly applies to the entire paragraph.

  • How to center align Alert.show() in flex

    Hello All,
    I have a tall Flex application that uses Alert.show( ) to display error/warning messages. This created problems when the error messages were centered on the screen, but not visible when the screen was at an extreme scroll position (top or bottom). is there any way that i can display the Alert in the center of the user's viewable page. I've tried the following, but didn't work.
    var errorMsg:Alert = Alert.show("Error message"); PopUpManager.centerPopUp(errorMsg);
    Thanks in advance.

    Thanks for your help, yes by using some javascript calls i'm now able center align the Alert.
    Here is the solutions for my problem.
    var viewPoint:Number = ExternalInterface.call("eval", "window.pageYOffset"); var browserHeight:Number = ExternalInterface.call("eval", "window.innerHeight"); //the following calculation finds the center y coordinate in user's viewable page. var viewableY : Number = ((browserHeight/2)+viewPoint-50); var alert : Alert = Alert.show("Error Msg"); PopUpManager.centerPopUp(alert); alert.move(400,viewableY);
    I hope this helps someone...

  • Some of the pivot table header column not center-aligned

    I've dragged a pivot table model from Data Controls. The generated pivot table on page does not display some of the header columns center-aligned. I tried to set a css style in HeaderFormat listener for the columns, but it did not work. I checked the html source code and found the problem was caused by "colspan" not created properly. I'd like to know how pivot table header columns are created, anyone who knows please kindly give some tips,thanks!

    Try setting the Header Row to allow to repeat. I've had to set that Repeat option to get things to break over pages correctly.

  • Center Aligning a Webpage?

    For some reason, my webpage is center aligned in Firefox, but not in Safari or Opera.  I'm not sure about IE since I don't have it on my computer.  Whatever the case, I finally got the webpage to align the way I wanted it to (in the center), and it looked perfect in Firefox.  In Safari, however, it was left aligned, and in Opera, it was between the two... about 25% away from the left part of the screen.
    Is there any way to fix this problem?  Here's my code.
    <link href="../styles.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css">
    <div id="wrapper">
      <div id="container">
        <div id="header"></div>
        <div id="menu"><img src="../Images/home_button" width="160" height="43" alt="home_button"><img src="../Images/faq_button" width="160" height="43" alt="faq_button"><img src="../Images/newsletter_button" width="160" height="43" alt="newsletter_button"><img src="../Images/donate_button" width="160" height="43" alt="donate_button"><img src="../Images/contact_button" width="160" height="43" alt="contact_button">
        <div id="middle">
          <h2>Text Goes Here</h2>
    </div>
        <div id="footer">
        </div>
      </div>
    </div>

    As John says, without seeing your style sheet or preferably showing the page on a live website, it's impossible to say what the problem might be. However, I see that you have a wrapper div. The style for the wrapper should be something like this:
    #wrapper {    width: 780px;    margin: 0 auto;}
    That will centre your page and make the contents 780px wide. You can change the width to suit your requirements, but the div must have a declared width (it can be a percentage or measured in ems if you prefer).

  • Still cannot center align panel !!  can it be done in JSC2????

    Hi,
    I have trawled trhough posts and cannot find how to center align a panel on a page. I have tried setting width=100% and setting vertical align to center for components.
    Main problem is when I resize page all the content is fixed. I would like this to move to center based on page size.
    Is there a way to wrap all of page in a div and set width=100%?
    Can i wrap all the page in a one cell html table and set width=100%?
    any help much appreciated.
    loti.

    Search for Tob Norbye's Weblog... He has quite some work on it. As far as I remember, he set "position: absolute" and set the left margin = 1/2 of the width of the layer you want to center-align. also, he set "left: 50%". This worked for me, but it has one catch, you have to key in the half of absolute width, besides that the solution seemed good enough to me.

  • Why wallpapers on iOS 7.1 aren't center aligned anymore?

    On iOS 7 my pictures would automaticaly center align when I set them as a wallpaper. Some pictures requires perfect alignment and doing it manually kinda *****. I know it's kinda "OCDish" but it's annoying me the fact that iOS 7.1 lost this "feature". Already tried restoring and reseting the iPad, but no success. Anyone else noticed that?

    Perspective zoom seems to do little. I have yet to find a way with 7.1 to actually use a landscape mode wallpaper without losing about half of the resolution. Everything is zoomed. This is nuts. With 7.0, to make it work, you had to create square wallpapers with your landscape mode centered (unused bars at top and bottom). Now, EVERYTHING is zoomed in landscape mode, effectively wasting the beautiful resolution of the iPad. Apple should be embarrassed, and I don't think this would have happened a few years ago. Either they didn't test this, or they simply don't believe people use iPads in landscape mode (which is the only way I use it). Angry as ****.

  • Captivate 8 Center Vertically in HTML Page

    One other guy asked this earlier this year - but no one has responded - so I'm asking again here.
    Is there a way to publish a project so that it (meaning the entire project stage) vertically center aligns in the HTML page?
    Am I missing something in the interface? I am extremely new to this rapid elearning software, used to using pure HTML, XML, and Flash, so it's very possible I am missing it. I'm messing with a responsive project - and I notice it auto centers horizontally already, but sticks to the top of the page. This looks simply dreadful in a desktop browser. I don't see any settings for making the project match the full width and/or height of any browser window - no matter the size (very odd for something "responsive") so centering a constrained rectangle-shaped project screams for vertical alignment capability. My disbelief that there is no option for this simple and fundamental setting has caused me to spend several fruitless hours searching for the answer. I've gone into the html and css itself in the output folder, but that stuff is wrapper hell, and I really don't want to have to re-enter custom code every time I update and re-export a project. I can't imagine I'm correct in assuming this was overlooked? Please tell me I'm wrong .
    A side note: I'm glad they gave version 8 some breakpoints to work with - but am I the only one who thinks it doesn't really feel like a genuinely "responsive" layout? I've built responsive websites before - and this is kinda cloogy. I don't see how you can get it to expand to 100% of the browser window above the top breakpoint (maxes out at like 1280 I think)... really strange implementation - but anyhow, not my main question I suppose. Was just say'n... if you know a setting for that too lol... like I said, I'm new to the software.
    Thanks for any help you may have!
    Jason

    Okay - I'm pretty certain that Adobe has no way of simply publishing any project in Captivate 8 with vertical centering in the HTML output page. But, I think I figured this out. Admittedly, I haven't thoroughly tested using a full-blown completed project, but it works when tested on a responsive project with very little slide content thus far (which shouldn't matter). And, thanks windscorpion for the iframe suggestion - that would work perfectly normally (and allow me to really customize the html page too) but it created issues for me when trying to retain the "responsive" aspects of the project. I'll use that approach when building non-responsive projects. Unfortunately, my solution is something I'll have to repeat each time I publish the main project - so probably best to save it for final  - but it's simple/quick at least.
    Here are the general steps...
    Publish the responsive project
    Open the "index.html" file in a text or code editor
    Replace a little inline css (code shown below)
    Save the index.html file
    Here's the code to replace:
    Up between the <head> tags, there is a metric ton of content barfed into the "cpInit()" function. Find this bit of code inside that function:
    id='project_container' style='left:0px; top:0px; width:100%; height:100%; position:absolute; overflow:hidden;
    Change the style properties to this:
    id='project_container' style='position:relative; top:50%; transform:translateY(-50%); overflow:hidden;
    Now, I'm not sure if changing that from 'absolute' to 'relative' is going to have an adverse effect of some kind on any elements inside that div - but I don't see anything happening so far. The table of contents still slides normally and all that jazz. If anyone runs into an issue however - just reply and let me know. I'll so the same!
