Picture color profile

Hi, I have a question and hopefully somebody can help me.
In Photoshop I'm able to change the piture profile from RGB to sRGB and in Aperture I don't know how.
Changing the profile, alouded me to print my pictures with Pthotoshop without a color cast, problem that I'm still having with Aperture.
In a Adobe Forum I was told that due to the fact that my printer is not working with RGB I change the profile to my pictures from RGB to sRGB, as well to select on my printer options that the color is sRGB and on Photoshop to choose that the printer manages the colors.
Is there any solution in Aperture, I'm getting a yellow color cast and I don't find any solution. Please help needed!!

The issue with the picture profile is not about exporting is about importing to Aperture.
About changing the profile from RGB to sRGB, thank you for the advice, I think that the one who gave me the advice also wasn't so sure, anyway it worked but I think because now in Photoshop the printer is managing the colors, issue that I don't think is so convenient.
- HP Photosmart C5180
- iMac OS X 10.5.4 with monitor calibrated with Spyder 3 Pro
- Paper I have used several from HP and all of them shown a yellow cast when selecting the paper (HP Premium Plus, HP Advance Phot Paper, etc.)
- Aperture 2.1.1
In print dialog the settings are:
- printer: HP Photosmart C5180
- print settings from HP (aperture manual p. 486)
* paper type : choose the type of paper I'm using, ie HP Premium Plus
* quality: best
* color: sRGB (I've also choosen Application Managed Colors but the result is the same)
-color sync profile: System Managed however (I've also choosen the type of paper I'm using and the color cast appears)
on this last setting, when I choose system managed colors, the pictures area really dark and with a color cast and even I move the gamma value between 1.15 and 1.2 the result is still bad.

  • Picture color profile in Lightroom vs Photoshop CS2 editing

    Hi all, I hope someone can solve this for me.
    When I'm viewing picture in Light room, all my pictures are a bit warmer ( have a yellowish tint to them ) compared to when I view them in Photoshop CS2. The same is true if I view them in other programs. This is true for all my picture file type (jpg, tif or raw). I get the feeling that it's Light room that in the wrong in how it displays the picture and not the other programs. Using the warms tool to make the picture a bit colder, only adds a bluish tint to the image which isn't even close to what it looks like (unedited) in Photoshop.
    I get the feeling that Lightroom does something to the picture, or uses some sort of color profile, driver that other programs don't use.
    Is there a way of changing this?

    Unfortunately, when Microsoft, Dell and others enter the fray it's no longer up to just the Adobe folks. Differences between Photoshop and Lightroom are almost always due to a corrupt monitor profile. Adobe has nothing to do with that.

    If your screen is correctly calibrated that will be the case. Unfortunately if you want to do color sensitive work on a computer with a typical monitor, you have to have a rudimentary understanding of profiles and color management. There is unfortunately no way around it. This is no different from traditional color photography where you have to understand what different film, different filters and different development do to your colors. The terminology is just different.

    I am not one for the computer lingo....
    OK. I'll assume first that you have no hardware calibrator and that you are on windows:
    1. Make sure your Photoshop color settings are set up to respect embedded profiles. See the
    first screenshot in this post(ignore everything else as it is no longer relevant in LR 2).
    2. Open your monitor's properties panel, click on advanced and go to the color management tab. Delete any profile you see there. This is the culprit. Probably a bad profile got installed in some driver update for your graphics card or your monitor.
    3. Restart Lightroom and Photoshop and that's it! You'll have corresponding colors. You are however, cheating yourself as your monitor is completely uncalibrated. This is how 99% of computer users run their monitors.
    So here is what you should be doing if you care about your color and matching to print and making sure that others see the same colors. Even though hardly anybody calibrates, the only way to get a good average correspondence is to calibrate your monitor and use color managed apps. This sequence is valid for both macs and PCs
    1. Do as above step one and make sure Photoshop is set up correctly and then go out and buy a hardware calibrator (or order online). They can be had for <$100 for pretty good ones. Look for example for Spyder2 and Huey Pro.
    2. Calibrate your screen following the instructions from the software
    3. Restart Lightroom and Photoshop. Now you'll have identical but correct color.
    If you have a mac, you can cheat slightly and use http://www.computer-darkroom.com/colorsync-display/colorsync_1.htm instead of hardware calibration. You cannot expect very good correspondence between monitor and prints though with that method.

  • Pictures color profile

    Do I need to enclose a color profile (Adobe RGB or Srgb) with the pix I use in a photobook I want to order. Normally my pictures are shot in Adobe RGB (with Nikon D2X), but when I go to the processing lab I enclose a Srgb profile for better printing results (on Fuji Premium Digital colorprint paper).

    Welcome to the Apple Discussions. Apple has indicated that they use the sRGB color profile for books, prints, etc. So you'll have to change the embedded profile to sRGB before ordering the book. To batch change them you can download the use the Automator application "Embed sRGB Profile" that I created. To embed the profile into all of your library's original files just drag the Originals folder from you iPhoto Library onto the application on the Desktop and it will automatically do it's thing. If you want to just embed in the book's photos, the best way would be to move all of them into a new roll and then drag that roll's folder from the Originals folder onto the application. You can download it from Toad's Cellar.
    Another way is to setup iPhoto to use the Embed sRGB Profile application as the "editor" of choice in iPhoto's General preferences section under the "Edit photo" menu. Then you double click on a photo in the book to bring up the slider. Then double click again and it will open with the application and quickly close. It's hardly noticeable. Once you've changed the photos in the book you can reset the preferences to what they were previously.

    TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
    I've written an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it.   • Uploading pictures to website, embedded color profile?

    I'm a photographer and I use deviantart.com. I was trying to upload some pictures i had edited in aperture to my website(sarabil1.deviant.com) and it uploaded it the original and didn't have any of the edits i made on it in aperture. i looked in the deviantart faq is this is what i found:
    "One of the main reasons colors change when a piece is submitted because the piece was saved with a color profile embedded. Since browsers cannot read this color profile it will not be displayed along with your image. Re-saving your image without a color profile embedded should rectify this issue. "
    so my question is-how do i save it without a color profile embedded and if i do will my edits show up when i save it or no? thanks!!

    There is a whole lot of this story that is missing both on your workflow as well as deviantart.com's explanation.
    1) Make sure that you are using Export Version not Export Master.
    2) When using export version make sure that you are exporting with/to an sRGB color profile.

  • Changing color profile of untagged pictures

    How to change the estimated color profile of untagged pictures to sRGB/RGB, if color profile is Adobe RGB?
    In this way, you could have the advantages of (sometimes) wider color range and accurate colors in general.

    With an average monitor what you see on-screen is already soft proofed to sRGB (or something very close to it), because that's all the monitor is capable of displaying anyway. So soft proofing to sRGB won't tell you anything. You won't see any difference.
    In Photoshop it sounds as if you assign profiles. That's not the way to do it. If you convert correctly you won't see any difference. Same principle as above: there may be clipping in the process, but what you see on screen is already clipped, so no visual on-screen difference.
    With a wide gamut monitor soft proofing becomes slightly more useful. But still you won't see any changes occurring outside Adobe RGB. You'll get a better idea by keeping an eye on the histogram. Ideally, all three channels should taper gently off towards the endpoints. If any one or two channels are backed solidly up against the endpoint, on either side, that's gamut clipping.
    If Blurb gave you a real profile, one that reflected their actual printing process, you could soft proof to that. But apparently they don't.

  • How do I embed a color profile in an untagged picture that is displayed incorrectly as sRGB?

    I have a set of JPEGs that have been stripped of their color profiles (AdobeRGB). Lightroom assumes that they are sRGB images and displays them incorrectly. Is there any function in the program that will let me embed the correct (AdobeRGB) profile to the photos, preferably without re-compressing them?

    I tried using an older ExifTools Gui v3.38 with the latest ExifTools v9.47 windows installer download and it works fine. It also does NOT recompress the image data when using the 'Import ICC/ICM Profile' tools. So there's no need to create TIFFs to change the profile on your JPEGs without altering the image data. Try it!
    I've uploaded a ZIP file, which contains a folder with everything you need. Download, unzip, and place the folder anywhere on your HDD. Copy and paste the shortcut 'ExifToolGUI 3.38 (ExifTools 9.47)' that's in the folder to your desktop. Nothing is installed – Exif GUI is a standalone app. If it doesn't open you may need to right-click on the shortcut and selct 'Run As Administrator.'

  • How to associate color profile to pictures?

    I am importing under LR thousands of scanned slides, that came out of the scanner in RAW format without a color profile associated. Therefore I need to tag them with the scanner color profile (which I have). Is there any way to do it with LR? More specifically, to do it while importing the photos? Otherwise I plan to use a Photoshop action from Photoshop...

    Raw files from Scanners are not Camera Raws. LR is unlikely to read them. Best to use a scanner software like VueScan which can give you a DNG file or TIFF and have the scanner software tag the profile.
    At least thais is as I have read it in other much older threads and fron a scanning fiend friend.

  • Problem with DNG Color Profiles in Lightroom 5.4

    Hello folks,
    I recently updated from LR 5.3 to Lightroom 5.4 and since then I am having problem when using dng color profiles which were created with Colorchecker Passport. Every time I use such a profile which was created for my Nikon D 800 I get very greenish tones in the pictures.
    I use Windows 7 Pro on a HP Z 210 Workstation. The monitor is a hardware-calibrated Quato which was recently calibrated.
    Does anyone have this problem too and - if yes - know how to fix it?

    I do have a Nikon D 800 and a Fuji X-E1. I haven's noticed a problem with the Fuji so far. I think I will recalibrate my monitor tomorrow and see if the problem still exists.
    I can supply raws and DNG profiles but I don't know where I should upload them - I suggest I could do it on my own webspace. Would that be ok?

  • IPhoto fix that worked for me (Coregraphics & Adobe Color Profiles issues)

    Ok, I posted a few days back in reference to getting help with my iPhoto. I do apologize on the fact this is quite the long post but maybe it will be easy to understand for those who are like me and not all that computer literate. I searched all the discussions and used all the different advice from different people but had no luck. I was able to FINALLY get iPhoto up and running again last night after doing just a few simple things. Please note that this may not work for everyone. Also please note that I AM NOT an expert in dealing with computers and working with computers. It's just that my ADD kicks in when something needs fixing and I won't stop till its finished.     -Run and attempt to repair any Color Profiles that may need to be fixed. There were 4 that could not be fixed for me. Locate these profiles and move them to your desktop (Note: I was still able to open and use all applications in my Adobe CS6 Master Collection after moving these profiles but you may want to check just to be sure if you are using Adobe).
    -Even though I had done this many times, run the Disk Utility App in your Utilities Profile and Verify and Repair any permission needed (For me, I had none at this time that needed to be repaired).
    -Next, I did an Apple Hardware Test. For me and the model Macbook Pro I am using, I had to restart my computer and when the screen went black for me at restart about the time the start up sound is about to come on, I pressed ALT-D. On some models you just have to press D. I did disconnect everything prior to doing this except the power cord and the Internet. I did a full AHT test that took about an hour or so. If you get an error code, be sure and right it down whereas your issue may be something different than mine and this will not apply to you. There were no problems from the test and then restarted the computer.
    -At restart I decided to get into the OS X Recovery by pressing Command-R to either start from scratch or find some other way to fix the issue because I was tired of racking my brain on this and was about to throw the computer in to the wall.

    -Once in the OS X Recovery from the Mac OS X Utilities Pane, I selected reinstall and then I selected my current Hard Drive. Luckily by doing this (not that I was aware or anything, but none of my files or folders were deleted and it only reinstalled Mountain Lion and whatever else it needed)
    -This process took about an hour and once finished, I restarted my computer
    -I logged back in to my account but did not attempt iPhoto at this time. Instead I immediately checked to make sure that 10.8.3 was what was reinstalled back on my Mac. I then checked for Software Updates which I had a few and installed these updates.
    -I then went back to the Disk Utilities App from my Utilities folder and Verified the Disk and Disk Permission. To my surprise, many of the files that were in the iPhoto crash thread (posted above) were now showing up as needing to be repaired. I repaired what needed to be repaired.
    -I verified all my Color Profiles to make sure none were showing up again (which there were none that needed to be repaired)
    -I did a check check of some Adobe CS6 Apps just to verify they were opening and working correctly
    -I restarted my Mac (Once again) and logged back in. I opened up iPhoto and everything worked and is working PERFECTLY. I then re-connected my printers and my Time Machine and performed a back up before importing photos back in to iPhoto. I DO WISH NOW THOUGH THAT I HADN'T DELETED AND RE-INSTALLED IPHOTO but it is nice being able to start over and organize iPhoto a little better than before.
    I am sorry this is such a long post but for people like me who are not professionals in the computer department, sometimes it's good to "dumb" things done so that us "average joes" can understand a little better. Hopefully this will work for those who are having issues like mine. Thanks for all the help from everyone from my previous posts.

  • Converting RGB to DNG without affecting color profiles

    Hi guys
    I'm working with the DNG SDK in C++ for some time now.  I need to be able to take a raw RGB (not camera raw) and convert it into a dng file.  After playing arond with it for a few days, I realized creating the camera profile drastically affects the resulting dng image.
    I can't seem to produce a dng file that was identical to the input source.  My picture appears very washed out and I end up using the adobe color profiler to try to bring the image back close to it's original color.
    I'm trying to find a way to produce dng files without the need to affect the colors in any way, the resulting picture should be bit identical to that of the raw RGB input file.
    I'm not even sure if I can do this considering the usage of the dng format.
    UPDATE
    I've realized that my program is loading the RGB buffer into the fData of the stage3 image object.  I have a feeling I need stages1 and 2 but i'm unsure if I need to and if so, then i will probaby need a source DNG to produce those stage1 and stage2 unless I can get stage1 or 2 from stage 3 (appears it works vice versa).
    I'm able to do the reverse (DNG to RGB raw) by extracting the buffer from the stage3 render.  but in this case, all the metadata has been filled in by the input DNG. However, going from RGB to DNG, I don't have the metadata to fill into stage 1 and 2.

    My understanding of the JPG is only middling. I thought I understood that it uses anchor pixels and either a translation table of some sort or difference mapping, using 8 bits per piece of information.
    If that were the case, surely changing the translation from CMYK to RGB would be fairly simple.
    In this case, the usage is Ebay and they only accept JPG, PNG (and maybe BMP and GIF, I didn't look that closely), but require RGB. I was actually quite surprised to find that JPG allows CMYK since, as you say, anyone dealing with CMYK is going to be dealing with commercial printing and few people who deal with commercial printing would play around with JPG.
    I always stick to TIFF or PSD for workflow, but JPG is popular for a reason - when it comes to web, JPG is the only format that can deliver manageable file sizes with full-screen or "large" images for web. Our top level banner photo is 2590x692 and needs to be under 400kb for sane download speeds. PNG couldn't touch that. Even with the aforementioned 1800x1200, PNG is nearly 2mb, while I can maintain very decent quality with a 500kb file with JPG that works well for 'zoom in' type usage.
    So there's no way around JPG. It's just annoying that the first person to touch a random selection of the pics was primarily an Illustrator user and saved *some* of the pics in CMYK mode.
    It's like that old story about the farmer who didn't want anyone to steal his watermelons, so he cleverly posted a sign "None of these watermelons are poisoned", only to find a note the next day saying "Now, One of these watermelons is...".
    Far more work to fix 'some' of the images compared to just doing it right the first time.
    But then again, for workers like that, if you can't trust them with an easy job, you could hardly trust them with more complicated jobs...

  • Need help with Color Profiles between Photoshop and iPhoto

    Hey guys, I'm a photographer and have always used Photoshop in comination with iPhoto. I am having great difficulty lately with color profiles randomly changing within albums of pictures. I need all of my images to be in sRGB, but some somehow end up in Adobe RGB. It seems to happen at random. Apple seems to think it's an Adobe problem. Adobe isn't sure what to do. Anybody aware of any known issues between CS5 and iPhoto using OS 10.8.4 with regard to color profiles and how to fix them?

    @shaunamm You need to open the SVGin Illustrator, not place it. But I doubt that you will be able to get the effects in Illustrator.

  • Using Color profiles and exporting for web browsers

    I've been trying to figure out the answer to this question. As I'm sure you're aware Safari supports color profiles while other web browsers like Firefox do not. I would like to setup Aperture so that it displays and exports images for the widest audience possible. Unfortunately it embeds a color profile and my images on the web only display correctly in Safari. I've tried changing the proofing profiles and export settings to no avail. I didn't seem to have this problem in iPhoto, a picture there looked the same on screen as it did in Safari and Firefox but I can't achieve the same with Aperture...

    Thanks for that information, unfortunately I'm not really any closer to solving the issue since I've already tried that. 1) by default, doesn't Aperture automatically embed the sRGB color profile? 2) if I set view>proofing mode to sRGB shouldn't what I see on screen match what a "dumb" application such as Firefox does when it ignores the embedded profile and display sRGB? I've tried going into the preferences>export settings and changed everything to sRGB IEC61966-2.1 but I see no difference in the final image between that and the default setting.
    I guess my question is more specific to Aperture since I don't have this problem with other applications. For example, in photoshop if I do Export for Web it strips out any embedded profile and when I open that image in Firefox and Safari side-by-side they are exactly the same. But not so when I export an image from Aperture, when opened in Firefox it is desaturated and flat and of course in Safari it honors the embedded profile and looks fine.

  • Iphoto and color profiles

    I know this is a tricky topic, but I'm trying to nail it down.
    The colors of the prints from iPhoto on my Canon Pixma iP4000 inkjet do not match what I see on my ibook G4 LCD monitor on my ibook. I do most of my editing within iPhoto (although some in Elements). What color profile do you suggest I use with the display--I've tried Color LCD and sRGB (both types) but the colors are still off from the printed output.
    The photos generally have sRGBIEC61996-2.1 embedded in them. The output is better with Colorsync on than off, but I still get a yellowish cast on my printed output. I know I could adjust picture by picture, but I need a more comprehensive solution. I'm also not sure anymore how files sent to photo processors and Apple books will turn out compared to my display.
    Many thanks for any advice you could give. BTW is there any way to find the kind of embedded profiles in a picture from within iPhoto 6, as well as its current (edited) resolution and size?

    You probably know more about it that I but in iPhoto's Advanced preferences section there's a checkbox to Add ColorSync Profile (upon import). I've not gotten a good handle on it but you can experiment with some files with that option turned on and off to see if it will correct your problem.
    Just ran a test with an image file right out of my Canon camera with the Camera RGB profile. I imported that file with and without that check box selected and didn't see any diffference. Checked the EXIF fields with another application, iView MediaPro, and both reported just "RGB". The user may have to add the particular profile to the file before importing to the the profile they want. I added with iView MediaPro the sRGB and the sRGB IEC6 1966-2.1 profiles and saw little difference when comparing them on screen. I then added the Adobe RGB 1968 profile and then saw a more saturated color in the image. All comparisons were made in iPhoto in the full screen mode.
    I know Apple uses the sRGB profile for it's printing, books, etc. so have set up my Photoshop CS2 preferences to use that profile. I've also set my monitor to use the sRGB profile. The books I've ordered have been good color wise so I guess it's working for me.

  • Why CMYK Color Profiles Warning?

    I just made a couple of CMYK shades of grey. Here is a sample:

    When i export the PDF to High Quality Printing, i get Warning Icon with the message "The preset specifies source profiles that don’t match the current color settings file. Profiles specified by the current color setting will be used" Why do i get that message? i am not using or importing any Photoshop Image with a different color profile...i just created my CMYK color inside my document.
    I am sending this PDF to a Laser Color CMYK Printer (not my own home laser printer) something like a Kinkos Store.  Could that be a problem for color settings to a this kind of printers? By the way, these are my color profiles.

    I'm here because I was researching the same error. I've gotten it for years, and usually worked around it but finally got around to trying to get to the bottom of it. One thing I just noticed is that I had a file where I received this warning, and then went to Edit > Convert to profile in ID. I noticed that the Source of the file was NOT the working space set in my color settings (different computer from where I created it). I converted the file to the working space profile, and went back to Export to PDF again, and DID NOT get the warning.
    My concern would be what ID does if you ignore the warning. If my profile was different from teh working profile and I go ahead and covert anyway, will ID ASSIGN the working profile to my file, or CONVERT my images to the working profile specified in the color settings file. Which it chooses will likely have an inpact on my color. I might try to test this by creating an image in a wierd source profile that will look quite different if the numbers are just ASSIGNED a new profile and Export to PDF and see what happens. I think that might tell me what ID is doing.
    I really would like to understand this for certain.

  • Display Calibration Creates Color Profile Problems.

    I haven't received any response out of the MBP Display forum and I thought you guys might have better insight anyway because you are dealing with color calibration more often. Here it is:
    I used colorsync utility to calibrate my monitor, hoping it would at least get the colors more accurate than they are with the "Color LCD" profile. The Color LCD profile has a bad yellow tinge to it. I went through the process 4 times so I would be able to choose the best profile out of the 4. (Now I can't delete the extra profiles but I guess that is a different topic...) The color accuracy and the gray-tone is MUCH better BUT I have a slight (understatement) saturation problem.
    My problem is after using Color Sync, ALL of my REDS are oversaturated and blown out. There is a problem with the blues and greens as well but it isn't as bad. Of course, they look fine in non color managed applications (ie FireFox) but everything else makes my photos look horrible. Even the RAW files straight out of the camera look blown out.
    I had, at first edited these files on a PC so they always looked fine but now that I have switched to Mac I have noticed how oversaturated they are in all of its color managed applications. (Safari, preview, and even the desktop.) I thought perhaps that I had just pumped up the contrast and saturation too high on the PC and the color profile was now creating a problem because the color was set for an un-profiled file. BUT after viewing the unaltered .NEF's straight out of my camera, they too are oversaturated.
    Now, I have some wallpapers I had downloaded from the web that look the same as before. It is just MY OWN photographs that are oversaturated. Obviously I have chosen the wrong color profile or something is wrong with my workflow. The wallpaper that looks the same doesn't have a profile assigned it when I view-info. It just labels the color space as RGB. All my photos that have problems, have a color profile assigned. I am using sRGB as recommended. There are a few still using Adobe RGB (which is what my camera defaults to) and they have the same oversaturation problem.
    Aperture is set to export with an sRGB profile and CS2 uses sRGB as well.
    Any advice? What monitor and color management profile's are you guys using?
    I can't tell what is right anymore. What should I edit my photos to look good in? The only MONITOR profile that doesn't blow them out is Adobe/Apple RGB, Color LCD, and a few of the other default installed profiles.

    i am photographer in the advertisement, reportage, portraits and landscape.
    my problem was to get the thinks printed as I saw them on the screen.
    here what I have to say on that (part of another discussion):
    ".... Sorry, but no AppleTFT Display comes close to a hardware calibrated display. Maybe they are semi-professional. I do not say this to insult Apple, ore somebody else, but i say this to sway out the illusion of , " if I just spend more money on the calibration tool and software, I´ll have better prints". It´s just not possible, because the display cant show what is there. A Apple CRT Studio Display is far better in this. I you want to have a flat-screen TFT Display to bring good results, you have to choose one that is able to be hardware calibrated and has a higher lookup table (EIZO, LaCie, QuatoGrafics......)
    I use use one professional EIZO CG21" and one semi-prof. EIZO FlexScanL985EX(21") and the diffrence is important between the two.
    But i need only one to be Print Proof ready.
    Before i was always afraid when i gave the picture file to my client, because of what my pictures look like once it is printed. Now the outcome is right or differs only very little from what I saw on the screen. my calibration tool is EYE ONE. "..
    BUT your main problem is how it looks in the web.
    my thoughts and suggestion on this:
    1. most people see the web on PC Display. those use a gamma of 2.2
    (apple = 1.8) so pictures appear more blue with more contrast. this setting is made to hide the low ability of the system and display to show colors as they are and give and give crispy impression. So you will have to consider this when you prepare the pictures for the web. therefor the standard calibration of your MBP is best for your needs. ( for printing the Display has to be set on 5.600 kelvin ,that would be to warm 4 the wwweb).
    2.
    a) In the beginning I use Aperture 1.5 (or Lightroom) to select and prepare the pictures as I like them.
    b) then I export them in 8 bit/300 dpi in the size they will be used as PSD or TIFF.
    c) I will then open them in Photoshop (color-settings=web /internet) make the cleaning and so on.( 4 the web I always increase the saturation because sRGB and JPG will throw away lots of colors).
    d) AND NOW "save for the web ". This is definitely the best tool to prepare pictures for the web. on the right upper part of the window there is a flash-open menu where you may choose to see the colors like in windows or macintosh system.
    and on the lower right of the application-window there is a roll-down menu where you may preview the results in different browsers of your choice.
    It is here where you can produce amazing high Q pictures 4 the web under 100 kb.
