Picture colour = background colour

How can i change the background colour to the most frequent
colour of a picture? for example i load a picture of a red flower
(taking the size of the photo, therefore the red is the main
picture colour) through XML, and the background changes to red,
then i load a picture through xml of a blue picture and the
background changes to blue. any help?

You want to scan each picture and find the most weighted
color? wow.. good luck on that one.. it is possible but tbh. that
would be a huge amount of work.. www.quasimondo.com has a bunch of
image scanners (or however it's called) but that would be a huge
amount of work..
Don't you want to keep it simple and pass the bg color
together in the xml manually?

A simple way would be to subclass a JPanel, override it's paintComponent method to display your image and set the panel as the frame's content pane. Take a look at
JFrame#setContentPane(Component)
JPanel#paintComponent(Graphics)
and perhapt ImageIO.read(...) for loading the image.

Pictures as Background or Screensaver

Does the iPod 30GB have the ability to set pictures as backgrounds? Or are pictures just stored for viewing?

No picture colour on ipod touch

I have no colour picture on my ipod touch - all i get is a negative picture image(like an old photograph negative image) any ideas how to reslove this issue?

Try going to Settings>General>Accessibility and turn off White on Black

Camera - picture colours

Since I last updated my 8100 to V4.5.0.102 the colours have been way off on the camera... whites are pink....red is almost purple...   Tried to reload the software still the same problem.
I read on the instructions online there are options in the camera settings for colour, but when I go there there is NO options for colour under the camera settings.
This all that is available for camera settings:
Default Flash setting: Auto
White Balance: Auto
Picture Size: Large
Picture Quality : Normal
Not sure where else to look, I hope this isn't hardware related...the camera has had little use.

Help iphone 4 pictures colours are inverted? big problem

Hello yesterday i took a picture on my iphone 4 in hdr, it was absolutely fine and the colours were fine, today when i turned my iphone on i looked at the picture and the colours are inverted like white on black mode is on but its not and when i turn it on it inverts the colours further, please help what is wring with my iphones pictures/camera as im going on holiday tomorrow and i am going to take lots of pictures?

Settings > General > Accessibility > White on Black: OFF.

Scrambled picture in background on photo booth

Have just installed leopard and have been trying to use the new background features in photo booth but the picture is breaking up and scrambling, i have both re started and power off'd but this has not helped. does anyone have a solution please?????

Ok they are somewhat Light and Colour dependant.
For Instance.
Lighting in front of you (Screen side) is much better than windows or lighting behind you.
Also if any of your clothing matches the background when you are out to the screen then that will show through. ( a top the same colour as the walls or a black top where the chair in view in the background is also black - that sort of thing - include dark hair where a shadow or dark background is)
Overhead lighting that is behind you can cause a sort of halo effect.
Having said that you seem to be saying it is at the point of the count down to the "Flash" that things seem to go awry.
This may be improved by increasing the lighting to reduce the effect of the Screen "Flash"

Can't set a picture as background

When I choose pictures that I've taken (the ones that come with the mac work great), i just see a blue background.

Try trashing this file: com.apple.desktop.plist
It's here: Home/Library/Preferences. Open the Preferences folder, locate that file and drag it to the Trash. Empty the Trash and reboot. Now, go to System Preferences/Desktop - ScreenSaver. Use the Sidebar on the left to select photos. It's ok to trash a preference file, your Mac will create a new one for you.
Run Disk Utility and Repair Disk Permissions. Disk Utility is here:
Applications/Utilities
Make sure your images are .jpg formatted. That's what Apple uses. You can see formats and image sizes for Apple Desktop Picture here: MacintoshHD/Library/DesktopPictures.

When will apple let us use own on pictures for background?

I am honestly a huge Apple Ipod brand and honestly would not buy anything else. however, the new Ipod nano 6g in my opinion was a little rushed. First of all i love the picture function that the Ipod has but i would like to see one of my own picture as the background not just the 11 or so preset backgrounds which to me....are a little feminineness. So, my question was when will we be able to have our own backgrounds, or why won't apple let us have our own background?

Setting an iPhoto picture as background

Hi.. sometimes when I set a picture from my iPhoto, the picture appears on my desktop as somewhat "pixelie" as the background. Is there a way to make the picture clearer as a background? Thanks!

I am not sure where to find the resolution of the photo...
You can find the pixel dimensions and the file size in the Info Pane lower left - click on the wee ‘i’
is there a way to increase the resolution of a photo?
Not without making the picture worse.

Ha, I lost the reply I had typed up and I see Jim replied while I was writing it.
In addition to his comments about changing the file. It's actually signin not signon.html. Jim has the right path though. signon.html is the file that redirects the client to URL=../psp/ps/?cmd=login command which displays signin.html. It's at /home/psadm2/psft/pt/8.53/webserv/peoplesoft/applications/peoplesoft/PORTAL.war/ps/signon.html.

The first tells you how to add the background in the comments. The latter discusses customizing the file for other reasons and gives some additional info.
Oh, I also mentioned that the languages are all in a td tag with the class name of pslanguageframe. Which may help you find it, because if I remember the language codes use JSP variables. Just edit the table structure as you like and aligning it to your liking.

Cannot crop pictures for background

I cannot crop any pictures for my background or desktop on my ipads. I have an orginal, the new ipad and the ipad air. When I pinch the picture to make it fit it always pop's back to the orginal size. I have done this before, but for some reason I can seem to do it now. What am I doing wrong.

You can reduce screen motion in iOS 7. iOS 7 uses a parallax effect to create the perception of depth on your Home screen and elsewhere.
To reduce the effect, you can turn on Reduce Motion in Settings > General > Accessibility. When you turn on Reduce Motion, Home screen transitions will fade instead of zoom.
When the parallax effect is on, you may notice the following:
Wallpaper, icons, and alerts shift slightly as you move your phone.
When you set a wallpaper in Settings > Wallpapers & Brightness, the photo or image will be slightly zoomed and can't be scaled to fit the screen.
If you zoom in, you will need to rescale your wallpaper to fit to the screen. You can't rescale certain photo formats, including landscape or square images.

Picture as background when keying

I have done my first successful keying of a DV footage in Shake using the Primatte plugin. I have inserted a picture as a background, but Shake only shows a small part of the picture at a time. The picture also acts as a video (the picture is moving around in the background) when playing back the rendered file.
What can I do to see the whole picture and make it stand still too? Do I have to resize to the same size as the videofile? If so, what is the size of my captured videoclip?

What's the size of the picture you are using? Shake defaults it to it's native size. Is this a jpeg or something? You could use a Scale node to rescale up the background pic.
What's the size of your video?? Not sure... is it DV PAL? 720 by 576 if it's PAL... check in QT to see the exact size.
