Picture for Printing Playlists Inserts?

I made up a playlist for my wife of our "special" songs. I would like to print a CD insert with a picture of, of course, ME rather than the album art. Is there a way to select other images to use on CD inserts than the album art?

As far as I know that's not possible.
Why not temporary replace the artwork of a song in the playlist with your picture?
Then select that song and in the Print menu choose 'Single Cover' as 'Theme:'.
This will put your picture on the Jewel case insert.
Hope this helps.

  • Correct sizing of a picture for printing

    Good day all;
I am a wee bit new at all of this so this question may sound a bit simple.
Is there a correct way to size pictures for printing. This is what I have done.
My camera is set of 6 meg’s which gives me a huge original. I want to take this and print on a 4x6.
I bring up the picture, select print > click on “scale to fit media. This gives me the size of
    5.333 X 4.
I go back to the picture select: Image>Image Size. Under Document size I enter 5.333 in the Width. The height changes to 4
Question, am I doing this correctly
    Thanks All
    Chomp

I looked up the resolutions for the Lumix Dmc-F27. Full resolution is 2816 * 2122 pixels, giving an aspect ratio of 1:1.327. If you want 4 by 6 inch prints (aspect ratio 1:1.5), you should crop so that the long axis is 6 inches. The short axis would then be 4.5241 inches and the resolution would be 469 pixels/inch. If you are sending the image to an injet printer, you would want to crop the short axis to 4 inches. In his Image Sharpening with Adobe PSCS2, Bruce Fraser states that the "native resolution" of HP inkjets is 300 ppi and that of Epsons is 360 ppi. He further states that Epsons can benefit from up to a resolution of 480 ppi and that sending more than 720 ppi to the printer can actually degrade image quality. With your camera, I see no good reason to use less than the native printer resolution unless file size is a concern.
In your situation, it would make sense to crop without resamplilng and send the image to the printer at 469 pixels per inch (assuming that you are using an Epson printer). If you don't mind arbitrary cropping, you could create a Photoshop action to automate the process and you could add suitable sharpening in the process. To simplify things, I would recommend turning off sharpening in the camera.
If you know that you will not need more than 4 by 6 inch prints, I see that the camera has a 1600 x 1200 pixel mode, which would give a 300 ppi 4 x 6 inch print.
If you are having the prints done at Walgreen's or Walmart and do not mind aribitrary cropping, you could likely send the native images to the printer and let the printer handle resampling and cropping. These machines usually print at 300 pixels/inch.

  • I'm having trouble printing playlist inserts.  Help please.

I have never had this problem before. when printing a playlist insert, all printing is running together. A friend told me he is getting the same thing. I recently downloaded the latest itunes version. Is the problem on my end or your end. Thanks for your help.

  • DL high resolution SAP-Netweaver-marketing-pictures for printing

    Hi,
does someone know where I can download some SAP-"marketing"-pictures in high resolution for printing? Maybe they have a download section for press releases. I was looking for such a section but was not able to find one.
Especially I am looking for this picture:
    http://www.cundus.de/img/seiten/produkte/sap/enterprise_portal_01.gif
    Thanks a lot.
    Regards,
    Thomas

The company already told me that they will refund my money so that is not the problem.
The ratio differences is what the person told me initially too, however told me that I could also change the dimensions so that the photos would not be cropped and centered automatically...but that's not what I want to do, as it would leave white space on the sides and top, and I have several that I want to frame.
So what do I do now? I have 100's of pictures and over 90% of them have this problem. I used your software to enhance the photos, crop the photos, etc... but I don't see an area that explains to me what part of the image will be cropped out once they are sent out to print. Nor to I see an area that gives me a rectangular dimension to work from. If I have to crop these pictures to get them to turn out right, I need to get started on this right away.
When I print these on my own printer they seem to print just fine. There are too many to print this way, however.

  • Resizing pictures for printed photos

I take a lot of pictures with my cell phone, and whenever I try to get prints from either Walmart or Shutterfly, the pictures is always cropped, with heads cut off, or feet and legs cut off. I have contacted Shutterfly about this issue and they told me that I need to change my resolution, or ratio in photoshop and then upload the picture to be printed. I don't exactly know how to go about doing this, or what to even change it too. Can anybody offer some help, or does anyone have any experience with this?

iTunes does optimise photos before they are transferred to the iPod (you can see a message in the window at the top of iTunes as it does it). It does not change the dimensions of the photos to fit the iPod screen, but it does reduce the resolution and file size. It also creates a very small version that you can see when there are multiple images on the iPod screen
If you select the option to include the originals in iTunes it will then store the original file, a version optimised for the iPod screen and the tiny little thumbnails as well.

  • 2 spot colour pictures for print

I have CS2 on a pc and can only seem to make pictures in RGB or CMYK (4 colour) this means the printers have to print in 4 colour. I want to print in 2 spot colour. How do I produce the appropriate artwork?
    Many thanks

You either want a duotone image, or you want a grayscale or CMYK image with spot channels.

  • Exporting pictures for print

I have been trying to save pictures to both a SD Memory Card and a USB DataTraveler. I have 517 Photos I want to print at a photo developer. The problem is when I export to the desktop and transfer to the DataTraveler, the Images are unable to display on photo finishing Kiosk. When I transfer to the Memory card thru a reader/writer some photos are either "busy" or there is not enough free space to
copy to file. either way I am just getting pi**ed. any help would be appreciated.

Many of these cards are formatted in early windows formats, and these have a limit on the number of files or folders on the top level. So try putting the pics in a folder on the Mac, then copy the folder to the cards.

  • Since downloading the most current iTunes software I can no longer print the insert (label) for a jewel case.  The songs are printed over each other and can not be read.  Any suggestions?  Thanks.

Since downloading the most current iTunes software I am no longer able to print an insert (label) for a jewel case.  I click on print, choose jewel case and then it doesn't matter which option I choose for the insert it will only print the songs over each other in a 1 inch section so that it can not be used or read.  If instead of clicking on the jewel case I click on list it works fine and prints an appropriate list.  I have always updated the iTunes software the first time I am offered to do so and I have never had a problem printing the jewel case inserts.  Since this issue is not about a piece of hardware iTunes help will not help me.

Did you ever get a response?
If you so how did you correct the problem?
I have the exact problem you had.
    Please let me know.
    Thank you

Not sure what you mean by that: is that URL in an image, or is it actual text?
If it is in an image, then you need to extract the image, edit it with something like Photoshop, then add it back to the PDF.
If the URL is actual text, I suggest that you remove the entire URL, then add the corrected link.

  • Best way to insert 300dpi photo's into Ilustrator file for print

I am creating a 5.5 X 8 postcard style card for print.  I need to place 15 photographs that are aprox. 1.5 X 2.5 each.  What is the best way to insert these files so that my file doesn't become too large?  I will be making a PDF of the final artwork to send to the printer.  Your guidance is much appreciated!!

Link don't embed the images. Use a layered format such as .psd, .tif, or .pdf. Psd is not lossy, .tif can be lossy if you modify the default settings, .pdf you choose how much compression you want, and a small amount of compression can make a much smaller file size.
I would recomend using .psd, in cmyk color space. When you make your pdf for printing is when you will decide how much compression and which pdf preset you will use(press ready or PDF X should be a good choice). That will be your important choice.
