Picture Frame Function in Fireworks 8

I recently upgraded to Fireworks 8 from version 4. I was
saddened to see that they had taken a user-friendly method of
creating a picture frame and turning it into a nightmare. Why?! I
can't get the picture frame to fill with anything but the limited
number of choices they now give AND there is no preview of the
fills.
I hate when they take a good thing and in an attempt to make
it better, they muck it up. Any advice?
Kath

Hi, I can't remember how the picture frame command worked in
FWs 4 so
I cannot compare the two.
However, from the Window drop down menu you should find an
item
Patterns and Textures which will open a panel displaying all
the
Patterns or Textures. You can also add your own Patterns fro
the
Property Inspector, but you need to unlock the Layer by
clicking the
tiny Padlock in the Layers panel.
There is a quick tutorial over at CMX that may help you as
well...

  • Need picture Frame feature back for iPad running iOS 7

I am a wedding photographer. One of the main purposes of my iPad is to provide m clients same day iPad slideshows. I had been running iOS 5 on my ipad2 but upgraded to ios7. Previously I would use the picture frame feature to showcase images from the day. This feature allowed a slideshow to be left unattended and guests could  get into the iPad unless the pass code was entered. Now the picture frame icon is gone in ios7. I am left with the slideshow feature in photos. But if someone touches the screen  with that one, the show pauses and doesn't restart on its own. So I need the old picture frame functionality back.

That did not work, I went into the clock app, it has the weather in its map, and it's on englosh measurements. The notifaction center is still saying metric units, not English units.
    Any other ideas??? please help

  • Picture Frame gets interrupted by "finished loading" message

I can't really use the picture frame function. Every time when I start it, especially when the battery is full, I get the message popup "finished loading" after a few minutes and the slideshow stops, iPad goes to sleep. If I start the picture frame again, same thing after a few minutes.
    Any solution for this?

I have little over 2500 pictures on the iPad.
I tried without a dock, used another USB-cable, even tried it without a power cable. So it shouldn't be power related.
Before I get to see the "finished loading" status, the screen goes blank and shortly the apple logo is shown.
I tried it with a single album and had no problems. I guess one "faulty" picture causes the app to crash.
I will try trough all my albums and narrow it down. Unfortunately I have quite some albums...

  • Drag and drop picture frames in Photoshop Elements 11 from one file to another?

    Hello,
    I am a digital scrapbooker.
I recently started using Adobe Photoshop Elements 11. I previously had been using Elements 7. I make extensive use of Picture Frames i.e "Basic Black 10px", and in Elements 7, it was very easy to drag and drop a picture frame from one file to another. (I use a separate file for each scrapbook page, and I often move pictures between  pages as I scrap them)
In Photoshop Elementa 11,  I can drag and drop a picture frame from one file to another, but ONLY if there is no picture in it. If there is a picture, I cannot drag and drop - the circle-slash icon appears showing that it won't land. I was able to do this in Photoshop Elements 7, whether or not there was a picture in the frame.
Any ideas of what I might be doing wrong, or did Photoshop Elements change this functionality?
    Thank you!

I think this might be a bug in pse 11, at least on the windows version.
You might try right clicking on the frame layer in the layers panel, choose Duplicate Frame Layer and pick your other document as the destination.

  • 'Broken' iMac new lift as picture frame?

My iMac G5 wont boot. I think something terminal might have happened to it inside.
Is there any way I could make it into a digital picture frame?
    Andy

Sorry no, those units don't have any kind of video input, and even if they did, the system would need to be in some minimally functional state. Even then, you'd spend quite a bit more in electricity to run that thing as a digital picture frame than you would an actual digital picture frame, so you wouldn't be saving any money long term.
You could probably turn it into a non-digital picture frame though.

  • Error in Preferences.app - picture frame

I got a strange problem in my iPad 3rd gen. Since a couple of days the preferences settings page for picture frame is totally empty. At the lockscreen the picture frame button is still there but without any function.
    Any ideas?

    Ummm,
The Preferences of iChat or Messages can start up  the camera you have if the Preferences were left on the Video and Audio pane.  It takes the title of the pane.
If the Preferences window shows the Video and Audio pane it has a Preview of what the camera sees.
Under this is a green response bar for the audio  (your In Audio).
It has drop downs for the Mic selection, the camera if you have two cameras,   a BlueTooth headset option and the Bandwidth Limit.

  • How do I Add a Picture Frame Around a Flash Video?

I tried searching for this but "frame" has too many meanings. I have flv videos inserted in several web pages, but they look dull without some sort of fancy border or frame around them. Maybe a picture frame. Maybe the image of a flat screen TV surrounding the image. But how do I add the image "behind" the video so that the video sits perfectly inside the image, regardless of the monitor viewing the image.

Do a google search for the IE PNG Fix javascript.  Some work better than others.  The one you had didn't work at all for PNG backgrounds in pre-IE7.
Copy and Paste the following document into a new blank page and see how it looks in all the major browsers.  I changed your document type to XHTML transitional and replaced deprecated <div align> tags with inline CSS styles.  I also ran your Flash code through http://validifyer.com to make it XHTML compliant.

  • Picture frame button disappear from the lock screen

    hi guys,
after updating to iOS 5.01, I can no longer find the picture frame button in the lock screen. can I get it back somewhere by tweaking in the settings? thanks

Ah, you mean the camera.  Your original post sounded like you were asking about the photo frame/display function.
To get the camera button on the Lock screen, just double-click the Home button.

  • Allow cropping boundaries to go outside the picture frame

Currently, the crop window is restricted to be inside the picture window. When the picture is rotated, the crop window shrinks to prevent it from extending outside the picture frame. This functionality is most often preferred.
However, for some situations, there should be an option to unlock this feature, allowing the crop to go outside the frame. Upon export, white space (or a color of selection) will be substituted for the are outside the picture. What I am asking for is the same functionality RawShooter has!!

I want the feature, but implemented better than in RawShooter. Some photos would look best cropped a certain way but need a little sky or whatever cloned into a corner.
A simple way for Lightroom to provide this is to have the crop box work just like it does now constrained to the images pixels, but by pressing and holding, say, the Alt/Opt key, the box would become unconstrained. Holding down the Ctrl/Cmd key could be used to rotate the crop box 90 degrees by clicking on one of the borders.
In response to the nay-sayers, for many people (see, I'm not just speaking for myself) the idea of workflow is the "flow" part, not the "work" part. For me (and the many people) getting images cropped right is part of the flow. Jumping to Photoshop is an interruption. (Of course, for others the flow is completing each image as they go, but when I do that I am way too slow.)
For the bloat-beware folks, the hard part is constraining the crop box to the pixels, not uncontraining it. BTW - Lightroom's handling of cropping and rotating is WAY better than RawShooter's.

  • I had the first ipad now i have the new ipad air where the the picture frame app?

i had the first ipad now i have the new ipad air where the the picture frame app?

Apple iOS designers did away with the Picture Frame slide show app and the lock screen icon that used to activate it.
If you are looking for a replacement, look in the iOS App Store app and search for Picmatic.
This is a pretty good replacement for that function.

  • Picture Frame on iPad iOS 7

    Hi
Can anyone tell me how to enable the picture frame feature on the iOS 7??
I use this feature a lot whilst the iPad is charging. Thank you.
    John Sharples

Ok tried it on your advice seeing as it updated October 9th. It is a bit better yet still not as esthetically pleasing as the pictureframe discontinued by Apple. The oragami transition on random fodlers was a great presentation. Music option was disppointing. To play music you have to go in, choose a playlist and choose each song you want or it just plays same one over and over. Odd dev choice to have a playlist then have user spend time making another playlist from the existing one. If I was using this for display in an office I would be annoyed after making multiple lists and folders depending on what I wanted to use it for then have to duplicate the effort again within the app.
One of my peeves is how 'improvements' typically create more time spent on part of the user from what was previously a simple, easy function. Looking at the upgrade options don't really see a benefit to going pro. Filters are cute but the layourt formats seem static. Maybe they are more dynamic but you couldn't tell from the info provided. If there was a screensaver just like the Apple one they got rid of I would pay for that.

  • How to delete the photoes in the picture frame

I deleted all the photoes, but they still show in the picture frame. How to delete them?

If you have any synced photos on your iPad the only way to delete those is by syncing again with iTunes... Either sync an empty photo folder or unselect the photos folder from the photos tab in iTunes and sync again.
Are you sure that you are not using Photos from your Photo Stream? Go to Settings>Picture Frame and make sure that there are no albums, or photo stream photos to choose from.
