Picture full of interference

Often when I play a movie or tv show downloaded from iTunes the picture is fuzzy and full of interference.  I have to close and restart iTunes to enable viewing.  Thoughts?

Close out of the camera app, double tap the home button and completely close out of the app.
Then do a reset, no data loss.  Hold down the home/sleep button together until you see the apple logo and then release, then wait for the phone to boot back up.
Then check your camera roll again.

  • Contact picture full screen size capable?

Anyone know how to get contact's picture to appear full screen size? HATE the thumbnail sized pic, and can't assign a ringtone to all of my contacts!!!

What you see is what you get.

  • Opening pictures full screen as default

I'm using Photoshop Elements 4.0 and here's what I'd like to do. When someone sends me a picture via email, I'd like to automatically open it full screen and view it. As it is, photoshop always opens it in editor mode. Is this possible and if so, how? Thanks, Adrian

    Adrian,
I suggest that you change the file association so that the files sent to you via e-mail will open in Window> Picture and Fax Viewer.
    To do this:
    1. Right click on a JPEG file, such as one sent to you
    2. Select>Open with>Choose program, then scroll down to Win & Fax viewer
    3. At the bottom of the dialog check the box to always use the selected program to open this kind of file.

  • Income call contact picture FULL SCREEN or small in the corner

I have read the forum and I understand how each is set:
FULL SCREEN: Picture must be set from iPhone itself
Small picture in the top right: Must be set on the computer (address book/outlook)
Ok, Now here's my question - I've set these in mixed places, some on the iphone and some in address book. Its obviously faster to do it on the computer, which is why I did it there. HOW do I get all of the pictures to show up full screen without going into each contact and reassigning the pictures? Apple has got to put in a setting somewhere - or maybe this is something that we need to request for them to put in an update.

If you really want the big pictures, you can edit them in your iPhone contacts. Select the contact and tap the edit button at the top right. Then you can tap the picture. On the resulting screen tap "edit photo" and then tap "set photo". You will have the big photo on the next call from that contact.

  • When I try to view the pictures full size it won't go from picture to picture then it locks up.

My iphoto keeps locking up.  When I view pictures and double click on them to see them larger it just freezes up and I can't do anything else.  I have to quit iPhoto altogether and start over.

    1. You'll need a lot more free space than 12 gigs.
OS X needs about 10 gigs of hard drive space for normal OS operations - things like virtual memory, temporary files and so on. Without this space your Mac will slow down as the OS hunts for space on the disk, files will be fragmented, also slowing things down, apps will crash and the risk of data corruption - that is damage to your files, photos, music - increases exponentially. Your first priority is to make more space on that HD. Nothing else can be done until you do. Purchase an external HD and move your Photos and Music to it. Both iPhoto and iTunes can run perfectly well with the Library on an external disk.
    2.
    Option 1
Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Repair Database. If that doesn't help, then try again, this time using Rebuild Database.
    If that fails:
    Option 2
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. (In Library Manager it's the FIle -> Rebuild command)
This will create an entirely new library. It will then copy (or try to) your photos and all the associated metadata and versions to this new Library, and arrange it as close as it can to what you had in the damaged Library. It does this based on information it finds in the iPhoto sharing mechanism - but that means that things not shared won't be there, so no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your events, albums and keywords, faces and places back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.

  • Mail wont accept pictures full size, shrinks them all to 2x3

It also let me drag them into a stationery once, then wouln't text edit. If I did text first I could drag pictures in!
Frustrating... I finally made an evernote with fullsize pics and sent that out.

Are you using Stationary or just a plain email message?
Stationary has drop zones for pictures that set them to a specific size.
For normal email messages, with the picture selected, you can set the size in the bottom, right of the headers area, under the signature:

  • Thumnail size snaps from small to full screen

    hey everybody,
my iphoto libaray has come quite a long way as i used it since there was iphoto 5 (or maybe even earlier). and i created it on my 12" ibook. now i moved it onto my g5 by just copying it to the user > pictures folder which was no problem; everything in place. but the problem is, that the ibook has a resolution of 1024 x 768. with my g5 i use a 23" cinema display which is "a little" bigger. now it seems as if iphoto somewhere remembers the resolution of the ibook because when i move the thumbnail size slider to the right thumbnails get bigger and bigger as it should, but the last step before full screen is 6 columns. that means slider all the way right = one picture full screen. slider one tiny bit to the left = 6 columns. normally i move the slider to any direction and there are more and more columns, but one more after the other (1, then 2, then 3, …).
what i want is e.g. 3 columns which means quite large thumbnails, because i often have to view those pics closely.
so has anybody any idea where the "gear transmission ratio" of the slider is saved? or any other idea how to fix this problem?
    thanks in advance.

Try deleting the iPhoto preference file, com.apple.iPhoto.plist, that is in your User/Library/Preferences folder. I think that should reset that viewing option back to default. You'll have to reset all of the other preferences for iPhoto also.
You do know that you can select from 1 to 6 photos and then click on the furthest right button just below the Source pane to view and edit them in full screen mode side by side. It's the button right next to the keyword button.

  • Contact Picture size when iPhone rings

My wife's iPhone 3G displays a contact's picture differently than mine and we can't figure out why.
When her phone rings from a contact where a picture is stored, the Wallpaper is displayed large in the middle and the contact's name and picture is displayed small across the top.
How can we set her iPhone to display the contact picture full size?

Here's what you need to do.
In iPhoto set up a new album. I named mine "Contacts". In this album put all the photos you'd like to use for your contacts. I suggest 1200x1600 sized photos because that's what the iPhone photos are (so you'll get a consistent experience).
In iTunes, sync this album to your iPhone.
On the iPhone, go to Photos, and select a photo and push the button on the bottom left of the screen. Select "Assign to Contact".
Once you've found the appropriate contact it will now appear full screen when you receive a call.
    Hope that helps!

  • Picture Previews are blurry

Does anyone know what might be causing my thumbnails on my comp. to look blurry? When I open the picture full size in any application, it looks fine but in iPhoto and in my Pictures folder there are a lot of blurry thumbnail previews. Not all the pictures are like that, just some and they are all from 3 different cameras. thanks!

I have a latest generation MacBook Pro retina, so that should be fine.
It actually worked when I purged the cache for this folder a second time. The blur went away.
The first time I had done a "select all" images to show Bridge which previews I needed rebuilt - not necessary, maybe that was an overload for Bridge.

  • N85 picture settings question

I tried asking this in the "N Series" section but got ver very little help. I figured those posting in this section are more interested in the picture side of mobile phones. So therefore are more knowledgable and be better at helping.
    So here it goes:
I have a Nokia N85 and i'm having trouble sending and receiving pictures full size. If i do receive pictures or send them to other phones they are signifcantly reduced in size and appear as a small square on screen. I have attached a pic of my phone screen with a picture displayed that was sent to me after from my girlfriends N85.
I have been through the settings to the best of my knowledge and set the image size to large but this seems to have no effect.
To do this i went to MESSAGING>OPTIONS>SETTINGS>MULTIMEDIA MESSAGE>IMAGE SIZE (set this to large)
    Please help!

I may be wrong here, but I think the size of the picture is network dependant, so you may need to check with your operator.
The best option would be to email the pictures instead of using MMS.

  • Most iphone4 have fine horizontal interlace onscreen (with a test picture)

    Hi all,
I have noticed some very fine horizontal lines on my iphone4 screen with IOS 4.3.5,Its not as silky smooth looking as it was.
they are very fine unless you look carefully you can see a lot of thin horizontal lines on the entire screen. It is a very persistent flicker with flashing horizontal lines on the whole display.
Do you guys have this problem? If you can‘t see it ,use this picture to test it.Save this picture( Full-size image with 640*960,not the Thumbnail) to you camera roll or photo libray, then check it without Zoom in or out,you would see the top and bottom bar flickering.
The test image is using for test screen glitches,it just make you see the interlace flicker more clearly,If the test image flickers on your iphone4 ,you definitely have this issue.Actually,if you are sensitive enough and see carefully at the top bar ,especiall on the lockscreen date bar,you would see fine horizontal lines ,even that you can see the horizontal pixel. The impact is that the screen is not sharp enough as a "retina display"What I am wondering is that they seem to go away after the phone has been in use for a little while and "warms up". Is that a hardware issue? It seems more like software issue.
I found that some guys have the same problem

  • Help. My iSight video full of pink static noise.

I received my new MacBook pro a few weeks ago and my iSight was working. I tried it today and now I get this:

After following the troubleshooting advice mentioned in the link, my built-in MacBookPro webcam is dead. I get only pitch black now . The System Profiler still acknowledges it as a USB device, though.
I bought my MacBookPro online from Apple. It was shipped from China. I will contact Apple support.
    Cheers.
Thanks for letting us know (and for the star.)
Yours sounds like a good plan. Hopefully they can get things sorted quickly. If they ask to you return your MBP for service, I can offer one more idea you can try before sending it away.
First, use Disk Utility to repair permissions.  Then download and apply the 10.5.8 COMBO update:
      http://support.apple.com/downloads/MacOS_X_10_5_8_ComboUpdate
Repair permissions IMMEDIATELY again after the restart that finishes the installation.
Then test iSight again. Repeat the Troubleshooting suggestions if necessary.
Although I am not hopeful based on your particulars, properly applying the latest Combo Update has helped some users correct a variety of strange problems. It costs nothing but some time to try the Combo Update before relinquishing your iMac while it is being repaired, so this may be something you want to consider.

  • How To Print Full Size 8x11 on officejet 6500

I just bought an officejet 6500. I want to print a picture full size. It's 8x10.5in. I select 8x11 paper. Best resolution and all just like I did on my old hp, but when I print, it resizes to 3x5 (my guess). Why is it doing this? How do I get it to stop. This should be simple. The resolution is about 97dpi. Does that have anything to do with it? I printed the same photos the way I wanted on my old printer. If I printed this exact printer on my old printer, it would print full size. And how I get it to use the printer as the default and not the fax. I'm not even using the fax. I have to select the printer every time. I'm on Vista by the way.

It turns out that I can't seem to print the way I want from Photoshop CS3. Other applications seem to print OK. I can print without any issue if I use Corel PhotoPaint. But if I try to use Photoshop, it prints a small picture no matter what setting I seem to pick. Unfortunately I mostly use Photoshop to print. I could print using HP Essentials, but there doesn't appear to be any way to custom size what I want to print in that program.

  • Ghost lady: picture pops up and then disappear

    Hi all,
A friend's computer is infected with the picture (full screen) of a "ghost" woman. That picture pops up, stay for 2 seconds, and then disappear. Quite spooky when you're working on a document. I did an online scan with Kaspersky, but it didn't find it. If anyone knows what it could be. Thanks.

    Hi
I am not 100% sure but I think that this has something to do with Internet explorer. It is possible that some dangerous page is inscribed as start page and every time occur this pop up window.
If you remove it from Internet explorer options, that will probably not help at all because there are probably entries in registry. I recommend you to scan the HDD and search for malware. Check also if you can find any application for rootkits scanning.
Delete also all temporary Internet files. Do you use some alternative browser, like Firefox?
