Picture import not working in PSE 7/8 and windows 7
Hello
I just updated to win 7 (64 bit) and now I can't get the picture import from my camera working correctly with PSE7. When I plug it in windows ask me how I like to import them and I chose elements but nothing happens. I had no problem with this in Vista before. I have tried the trial version of PSE 8 but I have the same problem with that. The only way I can import my pictures is by starting organizer and select import from there.

On 64-bit Vista and XP, you can't use the Adobe Photo Downloader with Windows Autoplay:

It's likely that 64-bit Windows 7 has the same restrictions. A workaround is to download Windows Live Photo Gallery and use its downloader, which is pretty good. Then in PSE, use File > Watch Folders to automatically import photos from the folder hierarchy where you're downloading the photos.

Save as button not working in Reader 9.3 and windows 7
Hi, I have a win7 Optiplex 780 with Acrobat Reader 9.3 installed. While in a web application, when I click the save as icon to save the pdf to disk, nothing happens. The save as dialogue box does not come up. The print button works, and the email button works. I have tried turning protected mode off and reinstalling Acrobat Reader, but that did not help.
Does anyone have a fix for this issue?
Thanks, DebThat problem surfaced since Win7 early builds, confirmed in Beta and Release Candidate and also happens on the latest build 7260. No problem with the update feature, though. This morning Adobe updater installed version 9.1.2 without hassle.
Let's wait to know is someone here may help us in fixig this issue.

Picture hyperlinks not working when published? Please help....

The work around is to leave iWeb default nav bar and header enabled, add your home made nav bar (outside/below of iWeb default nav bar).
Then turn off iWeb nav bar and header when you are done. -

Secure boot not working with MSI Z77a-G45 And system reserve not showing
Ok so i re did my windows after i did a zero fill on my hard drive as it was showing a corrupted sector on my disk that seemed to fix it for now, until it comes back if it does crossing my fingers it gone for good. But now i can't seem to get Secure boot to work i mean i did not have it before as i just slapped the motherboard in with a existing windows, that was to be expected but this is a clean install of windows 8.1 and i even have secure boot on but its not working and reports as off in windows. Is it because i have my bios set to legacy+UEFI??? would that make secure boot not work??. i even went as far as turning it off and back on again the secure boot setting nothing made a difference. I mean its not a big deal bit would be nice to know why its not working, also another wired thing and i will post pictures of it, as i cant see my system reserved partition in disk management but diskpart says it there, i will post those pictures any ideas??.

Does anyone know why a hyperlink that contains backslash is not working in Acrobat reader 8 and 9?
I created a document in Indesign CS and it contains hyperlinks that open up files from network drive so they contain backslash (for example: c:\foder\forder\filename.jpg). All the hyperlinks work in Acrobat Reader 6 but not in Acrobat Reader 8 or 9.

I am also having problems with the "No Hand" javascript which turns off the (not very helpful) page-forward hand icon (a hand symbol with a down arrow) which confuses our users when in fullscreen mode. We create interactive PDFs and everything worked fine up to Acrobat X/Reader X. Now in XI it doesn't allow the internal link icon (pointing finger) nor weblink icon (pointing finger with W) to appear. It just remains a plain o’ hand icon no matter what you mouse over even though there are links present.
