Picture import order BUG

Guys,
I have emailed this as a significant bug many times. I do not think it is right to correct it in a new version of Keynote and leave it uncorrected in the current iWork 08 suite.
One of the most common things I do is import digital images from my camera. They are all sequentially numbered - I use A Better Finder Rename so images less than 100 all have a leading zero if required. When I drag them to the slide sorter they ALWAYS import completely OUT OF ORDER. This means many hours of rearranging! I even have to go to each slide to select the image and look at its filename in the inspector to make sure they are in the correct order. This is a BIG burden. Please fix it.
I have used KN since I got a free copy at MW 03. Please make this a bug fix.

I share your pain as we feel the same way about this onerous oversight.
I have, however, found a solution.
When I'm doing the slideshow, I resize the images accordingly, then export them to a designated folder. Along the way I rename them in an unambiguous way, simple numerical order.
I NEVER use iPhoto for anything except syncing images with my iPhone, but in this instance, iPhoto is the answer. After the files are resized and renamed, import them into iPhoto, grouped as an event.
Now go into Keynote, go to View in the Menu bar, and select Show Media Browser.
Click the Photo tab at the top, toggle open the iPhoto folder and look for your event.
Voila, you'll see the images arranged in numerical order.
Click the first and then scroll to the end and shift click the last.
When you now drag these to the far left slide panel and release, Keynote will import them all IN THE ORDER you specified, numerical!!!!!!
Its a nuisance, but **** if it doesn't work.
I was struggling through a several hundred slide show and I just couldn't stand it anymore.
Thank goodness I found this technique.

I had tried that, I have 'date' and 'ascending' selected. Its only happened on one project and its not really any bother to re-arrange them, but I was curious why...?
It's a project I imported from my MBP, it's in the correct sequence on my MBP...

I have continuously over the last 6 months struggled with syncing my iphone and ipod with itunes The app continually crashes during the picture import. AND by the way it takes 10-15 minutes before it even attempts to import photos. The screen says importing photoes but doesnt try to optimize or anything for 10 minutes. I have a 3gs with 16Gb so its not a cheap phone. I have 10Gb free. I have 6600 photoes. This is very frustrating and undermines my confidence in your products. My ipod is an ipod 4 with 16Gb also. It does the exact same thing to it. The last time, I had to import photoes a few at the time and with it taking 10-15 minutes each time for 6600 photos it is a long frustrating process. But it will import every photo a few at a time. The error message is just that itunes has stopped working. no hint as to why. AND of course, my phone is out of use for the entire time. You guys must not want to believe ur phones are a necessary tool...or maybe you dont want the consumer to believe it is. I have tried to find solutions on your website as well as through other 3rd party communities. Ultimately they were of no use. I stumbled onto my solution by accident since Im a bit of a computer geek...a semi-geek.

basically whenever I try to sync my ipod touch 4G 64GB it crashes iTunes when it begins the pictures. if im lucky ill get 4-5 on there before it stops responding. its not my system or anything im running win7x64 8GB DDR3 ram (Corsair XMS3) AMD FX Eight core processor.
It is silly that iTunes cannot add pictures to apple devices. it shatters whatever incline I may have to buy apple products. knda like the Airport Extreem router my dad bought the new firmware, caused my router to not function... why release firmware that breaks a product. -_- <-- off topic but still

위 모든 interface tables의 order_source_id에는 당신의 order_source_id 값을 입력한다.
위 모든 interface tables의 orig_sys_document_ref에는 각각의 order에 대한 unique 값을 입력한다.
Interface table에 값을 insert 하면 Order Import Concurrent program을 실행한다.
- Navigate to Orders, Returns -> Import Orders -> Order Import Request
- Select your Order Source from the LOV in the parameters form.
- Submit the concurrent request.

Picture import not working in PSE 7/8 and windows 7

Hello
I just updated to win 7 (64 bit) and now I can't get the picture import from my camera working correctly with PSE7. When I plug it in windows ask me how I like to import them and I chose elements but nothing happens. I had no problem with this in Vista before. I have tried the trial version of PSE 8 but I have the same problem with that. The only way I can import my pictures is by starting organizer and select import from there.

On 64-bit Vista and XP, you can't use the Adobe Photo Downloader with Windows Autoplay:

It's likely that 64-bit Windows 7 has the same restrictions. A workaround is to download Windows Live Photo Gallery and use its downloader, which is pretty good. Then in PSE, use File > Watch Folders to automatically import photos from the folder hierarchy where you're downloading the photos.

From what I've learned by testing it seems you have to put in the quantitiy for each photo. Be sure to send a feature request to Apple via http://www.apple.com/feedback/iphoto.html.

Although the "30EA1 - SQL-Developer 3.0.02 Table Data Sort Order Bug" still exists in 30EA2, there is a new substantial mistake.
How to see it:
Open table1 (Preference "Automatically Freeze Object Viewer Windows" is set). Click data.
Open table2. Click data.
Go back to table1. Click Sort. => You see the columns of table2. The is no way to sort table1, before you close the table2 window (tab).

Why does get-attachment 1aspx appear on pictures imported from Iphoto

Pictures imported from Iphoto into Imovie not as clear as originals. There is a note with each picture ...get-attachment 1aspx. Could this be the reason? What does this message mean?

iPhoto shows you the image at full resolution. If the image is tiny then it's tiny.
You can magnify an image by 300%. In edit mode hold the option key and tap the 2 or 3 button.

Every geotagged pictures imported labelled as Unknown Place

Hi have lately installed iPhoto 8.0 (from iLife '09) and I like it a lot. I already had some of my pictures that were geotagged (the pictures took from my iPhone) but iPhoto does not name the place for them. They all appears as "Lieu sans nom" (or Unknown place in English...I am operating in French).
I did verified in the iPhoto preferences and the "search for place" is set to "automatically". I also tried to export, rename and reimport without success. The pins are correctly positioned but since the place is not named, I cannot use the browse feature (by country, states, etc.).
What I am doing wrong?

I tried to see if there were strange location properties using EXIF Viewer and everything seems fine. There is noting defined in the location. Just plain good latitude & longitudes. Just FYI, you do not need EXIF viewer to verify this. You just have to show the image properties from iPhoto.
One development. The same pictures on another computer gives perfect results. The location are identified correctly and there is no more Unknown location.
I tried to rebuilt my whole library from scratch using iPhoto Library Manager and it gives the same exact result. Again, the same original pictures imported into another computer works perfectly so I don't think that this issue comes from the pictures. Furthermore, to rebuild the library from scratch do not help.
Can you help me?

How to Import Order Line Items

Hello,
My job requires me to key over 50 order line items (per order) and I receive around 400 orders per week. It's pretty tiresome and its not ergonomical.
I was wondering if there's any way I can "Import" order line items from an Excel sheet, instead. For each line item, there are only 3 columns I key in:
- Part #
- Order Qty #
- Inv. Loc #
Other required fields (Order UOM, Handling Type, Lead Time Cat., (Publish) List Price, etc.) will then populate automattically.
My question is whether this is possible?
Any help will me appreciated. I will then ask the IT department to help implement. Thank you.

Importing can be done through EIM, but involves some work by Administrators.
You can also try to do it with an Import Object, but this is not fully supported by Siebel.
Another option would be through Script.

Bug or Feature: pictures not ordered by date and time taken

Is this a bug or a feature?
Pictures are not displayed in the sequence (order) they where originally taken (timestamp of the camera), when
- importing pictures via camera connection kit
- importing pictures via photo stream
- when editing pictures these.
I believe, Apple chose the date and time the picture file was created or last edited.
I'd rather have the pictures sorted by the time they were taken so I have all pictures in chronological order.
What about you?

LR import order is incorrect

Hello,
I notice that LR imports photos not in chronological order. This happens to me if I shoot at higher speeds (e.g. 5 frames/s).
The camera names the pictures exactly in chronological order, so I want that lightroom import the pictures based on the filenames, how can I do that?
Choosing other sort options like "by capture time" does not resolve the problem.
I can't imagine to be the only one with this problem, at least every sports photographer should have this issue.
Any help?

This is a bug when reading from a card reader in 1.x. It works properly when reading from the hard drive, and the bug is fixed in 2.0.
