Picture in header?

Hi,
Is it possible to load a picture in my header using the print VI's? If not is there a work around?
thanks in advance

Hmmm... I never noticed that. I was looking at the example when I mentioned the name of the function in my initial response. That VI is in the Report library that comes with LabVIEW, but seems to be missing from the palette. They do have the "Append Image to Report" VI in the palette, though. Odd. Probably an oversight on NI's part.

  • Pages 5.0 version does not support pictures in header

    I recently installed new soft OS X Maverick and along with this also renewed soft for Numbers, Pages, Keynote, and some more apps.
    Pages version 5.0 does not support its earlier version pre-set headers and footers. All the logos (picture files) I had inserted for my company template in the header are gone and I cannot re-enter them either. Does anyone can give e a hint on how to use picture files in Pages version 5.0 templates?
    This is first time in 2+ years that I prefer to use MsWord over Pages on my Mac, which is a pity.
    *I have tried to get used to new soft versions of numbers and pages now for around 3 weeks but it cannot make me to change my opinion that the eralier versions were much better. Unfortunately with OS X Maverick I have to use new versions for these apps, or do I, any hints?
    I already deleted once (2 weeks ago) OS X Maverick and switched back to OS X Mountain Lion (I use TM), but then decided after while to still update the op system soft to newest one available, as I've hoped that developers in Apple will come up with their soft improvements and bug fixes soon enough.
    Among the other disomforts (like pages, numbers and changed tag system) Safari is much slower than with previous version.
    Any hints are appreciated!
    Thanks, Paul

  • Putting a model/software picture at header of each forum

    This is just an idea, to avoid people posting questions about iMac CRTs on iMac G5 forums, and Mac OS X 10.3 questions in 10.4 questions to put an icon at the header of each forum so people can know what forum they are posting in.
    I could see a header that looks like this:
    Welcome to the iMac (CRT) forum. For questions on iMac Intel Core Duo iMac G5 iMac Flat Panel please select the model that appears in your About This Mac in the Apple menu if you are not using an iMac CRT or return to Discussions homepage if you are using a different Mac than an iMac.

    I'd like to second that very fine suggestion. It would work well in the iMac/iBook forum and I'd imagine it'd be of some use iPod and other forums too. A picture says a thousand words after all! This is especially important where iMac Flat Panel could well be an adequate description for the iMac ICD or iMac G5. (Kady had previously noted the potential for confusion).

  • Insert picture in header

    I want to insert a picture in the header area of adobe forms central can you help me do this
    Thanks
    alisonm

    Yep.
    Simple answer: Go back to Pages '09 which is still in your Applications/iWork folder.
    You don't have to do everything just because Apple says it is a great idea, when often it is not.
    If you're NOT happy, and want to show it, clap your hands
    If you're NOT happy, and want to show it, clap your hands
    …then go to the App Store and review/rate Pages 5.

  • Add picture in header

    Hi,
    I'm trying to add a logo into the header of a Numbers document, but somehow it won't copy and paste it in. I cannot find an other way to add it in. Text is no problem, but how to add a picture??
    Hopefully anybody can help.
    Thanx
    iMakkie

    Hi iMakkie,
    When all else fails, there's always the manual.
    A search of 'headers' in the Numbers '09 User Guide leads pretty directly to Page 41, and this article:
    *Adding Headers and Footers to a Sheet*
    You can have the same text appear on multiple pages in a sheet. Recurring
    information that appears at the top of the page is called a header; at the bottom it’s
    called a footer.
    You can put your own text in a header or footer, and you can use *formatted text*
    fields. *Formatted text fields* allow you to insert text that is automatically updated.
    For example, inserting the date field shows the current date whenever you open the
    spreadsheet. Similarly, page number fields keep track of page numbers as you add or
    delete pages.
    To define the contents of a header or footer:
    1 Click View in the toolbar and choose Show Print View.
    2 To see header and footer areas, hold the pointer near the top or bottom of a page.
    You can also click View in the toolbar and choose Show Layout.
    3 To add text to a header or footer, place the insertion point in the header or footer and
    insert text.
    4 To add page numbers or other changeable values, see the instructions in “Inserting
    Page Numbers and Other Changeable Values” on page 185.
    (emphasis added)
    You may note there's no mention of images or other objects. These can't be placed in headers.
    The Numbers '09 User Guide and the iWork Formulas and Functions User Guide are both available for download through the Help menu in Numbers. Both are quite useful to have around.

  • How to ... Generate PDF from BexWAD Application with company Logo in header

    Hi all profis,
    I read many theories (on-line help, sdn forum, google) about creating a PDF document with pictures, logos, texts and so on, but in each of them is some "...but, limitations, only if ..."
    The easiest way, I guess is to create a BexWAD Application with item "REPORT" and "ANALYSIS ITEM".
    In REPORT - a crystal report page, is saved company logo with text
    ANALYSIS item includes data
    Via Export (into PDF) those both items has to be exported. The only topic is, how to repeat the report item on each page of a PDF document? There is a possibility to repeat column names, but not a company logos as a header.
    I will ask in general -> Does someone has a solution, how to export data from SAP BI into PDF including  Logo and Text(Company Adress) in header (which will repeat on each page) ??
    Thank you very much for any purposes. As answer I prefer a concrete suggestions, not links to on-line help.
    Have a nice day.
    Standa

    I have another idea to create a PDF file with company logo and hierarchical structure of data.
    Via Report designer, it is not possible to display data in hierarchical structure, but it is possible to add logo (picture) into header.
    Via WADWeb Application designer, it is possible to display data with a hierarchy, but a logo is not shown on each page.
    Via InformationBroadcaster, there is a possibility to add into header a free text. There is an option <PR_ONLINE_LINK> . Can I create another element (new, own one), which will contain a picture? How can I edit this element <PR_ONLINE_LINK> ? Would it be possible to add there a picture?
    Thank you

  • Vertical Pictures Cut Off in Photo Album Page

    On my photo albums page, the picture I want to use as the first picture is a vertical picture. But on the albums page, the albums are all horizontal. So when someone goes to look at my albums page, they just see these cut-off pictures with heads missing. Is there a way to change the orientation of the albums so they are vertical? Or is there a way to edit the first picture so that you can move the picture down so at least the head is showing in the horizontal view?

    Hi Kara,
    the only solution I can find is to drop a vertical photo into the MyAlbums page and cover the album with it (thus hiding the other head-less photo) linking that photo to the photopage.
    However this will cause the effects moving the pointer over the album cover (skim, dissolve, ...) to disappear.
    As far as I know albums can't be rotated and vertical photos are cut off and you can't tell iWeb not to cut them off...

  • Creating pictures/posters from dvd images

    Hi.
    my mac is new so I still don't entirely know what I'm doing.
    My friend created a dvd of me doing a few scenes for a promo reel (I'm an actor).
    I would like to be able to take shots from the dvd and use it as pictures for head shots, self promotion, posters, etc.
    How do I take still shots from the dvd and copy them or make them into pictures or make them into .jpg files?
    I tried the screen shot method with shift-mac-3 but I just received a meesage that said "screen grabs are unavailable during dvd playback. Please quit dvd player first."
    Please Help.
    thanks in advance

    The DVD Player application will not allow you to do screen captures with the usual key combinations. You can use a Terminal command, however.
    Use DVD Player to play your DVD. Pause at the point you want to capture. Start Terminal (Utilities folder). Copy this command into Terminal:
    screencapture -iW ~/Desktop/screen.png
    and press return. You will see a camera icon; move it over the DVD Player window and click. The file screen.png will be created on your desktop.

  • EDGE and HTML dynamic text in a "box" with scroll bar

    I'm new to EDGE, a win7pro master collection cs5.5 suite owner. I'm mainly in the Film/Video post production field (mostly AE, PPro, Pshop, IA) but have been branching into web design the last couple of years.  I use Dreamweaver, Fireworks, Flash. While I'm a expert user with all the Film/video apps, I would say I only have intermediate ability with the web apps. While I understand a lot of programing logic bulding blocks I'm not a coder.
    So since we're told "flash is dead",  my interest in Edge is to try to do some of the things that I can currently do in flash in  EDGE. I was excited when Edge first came out but lost interest when it became obvious that Adobe was not going to offer Edge and Muse to "suite owners" but only in their force feeding of the "Cloud". Better known as the "golden goose" for adobe stockholders and a never ending perpetual hole in the pocket for users. Anyway....
    I spent the last couple of days doing some of the tuts and messing with the UI. It's matured a lot since I was here last.
    I've been working on a flash site for a sports team where one of the pages is a player profile page where college recuriters and other interested parties can view recuriting relavent info/stats about players. This is how it works. While on the "Team" page a users clicks on  a button labled "Player Profiles" . (Animation) A "page" flies in and unfurls from the upper right corner (3d page flips effect created in AE played by flash as a frame SEQ). Once it lands filling most of the center of the screen there is a bright flash. As the brightness fades we see the "page" is a bordered box with a BG image of a ball field(End). (Animation) from behind the border in fly small pictures (player head shots with name and jersey number). They stream in and form a circle like a wagon train and the team logo zooms up from infinity to the center of the circle(End). As the user mouses over a player's pic it zooms up a little and gets brighter (like mouseover image nav thumbs for a image slider). If the user clicks on a player's head shot it flips over and scales up to become a text box with a scrollbar. The content of the box is a mix of images, static and dynamic text fields populated from data in an "player info data base" XML file, and some hyperlinks. It's all kept updated dynamicaly with current stats, info and images from the XML file. There is also a "PDF" button that allows the user to open/save/print a PDF of the player's profile (the PDF's are static files for now but the choice of which pdf to retrive is dynamicaly supplied via the XML file.
    So.... Is Edge now able to do something like this?  Would it need to be a collection of small animations? could these be "assembled" and connected as an asset in dreamweaver ?
    I thought I would approach this from the end (ie click on an image and display a box with dynamic TEXT fileds. ) since that is the most important part, ie displaying the dynamicaly updated profile info.  Sooooo....
    Can Edge display a scrolling text box with Images, static text, and html dynamic text in it??

  • X-Position from a computed field in Datawindow

    Hi all
    I have a computed field in the DataWindow. This should fix CF are at the position X. The width and the height are taken out of the data in the DB and is always different.
    Now is the CF are always fixed on X and the width goes to the left.
    example:
    x = 2600
    Width = 500
    The CF is then positioned so that it is not related to the width of the X position. So always dynamically to each set.
    How can I use the expression for Programming.

    Hi,
    Is this the effect what you are looking for?
    Below is the export of a datawindow. For the default x-position and width of the CF I had taken 800 for both; which might be confusing.
    And the columns you can make invisible or hidden if you want to.
    The expressions for the CF are.
    x="800~t800 + 800 -  width " y="40" height="80~t height " width="800~t width "
    The width and height in the expressions are the column names that might have been stored in the database.
    It is a 12.6 export; save it into a text file.
    If you are using 12.5 just change release to 12.5 on the second line and try to import the file.
    For older versions next to the release line you might have to delete some properties that didn't exist yet in that version for example the gradients. Importing will give errors and the position of the
    error property. It can be a bit tedious to find and delete them.
    One imported then view it in run-time.

  • Insert and display images in a report

    Hi ABAPers, I need to insert and display an image (bitmap format) in a standard ABAP report. With the consideration that the image (an employee photograph) could vary depending on the employee numer the user enter as an input parameter for the report. Any ideas of how can I do it? Help will be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

    No you can’t do it as Vashmi already said so , you can upload the pictures in ALV, but  in your requirement I must say you should see the OSS note # 353949

    [1] Question: Is it possible to configure the profile e.g. for a                   person?
    Answer: It is possible to add or delete sub-profiles. You can do this in the customizing (transaction OOPF). There you can deactivate sub-profiles for an object type. Or add a new existing sub-profile.
    <b>[2] Question: How can I bring a picture of the person into the                   profile header?
    Answer:
    You should have an employees picture with format JPG or BMP...
    Start transaction OAAD to add the picture to SAP ArchiveLink. Press the Create-Button there. You have to type in PREL for the Business object and HRICOLFOTO for the Document type. Then press create. On the popup you must maintain the wished Personnel number for that the picture should be valid. Then press 'Continue'. Choose the picture and continue.
    For the screen header 00 (if it isn't changed) you should see the picture in the profile.</b>
    Hope this’ll give you idea!!

  • Setting uneditable formatting for editable content

    Hey all,
    I'm very new to Dreamweaver (and html/css!) so forgive me if this is simple or I have missed something. I have been Googling what I'm trying to do for the last 2 hours, to no avail, maybe I'm searching the wrong thing.
    I'm designing a template and have just added my editable content. I have a picture (editable_picture), heading (editable_heading) and text (editable_content) that will be different on each page, however I want the size of the picture and the font style, colour and size to remain consistant.
    I've tried entering the following into my css:
    #editable_picture {
        width: 450px;
        height: 300px;
    I've also tried:
    #editable_heading {
      font-size: 16px;
              font-family: Tahoma, Geneva, sans-serif;
              font-weight: bold;
              color: #FFF;
              text-align:left;
    No luck with either. I think I have possibly misinterpreted what the editable content is used for. If I have, can anybody recommend a better way to have different content on each page but maintain a consitant format?
    Many thanks

    I can't seem to assign a particular size to the editable content.
    Nor should you.  Content determines the height of your containers.  Setting explicit height values should be avoided because your site will ultimately contain both long and short pages.
    Your client's should be instructed on how to optimize their images beforehand in a graphics editor.  That is where the image's height & width is established.
    That said, you can add a rule to your CSS code to make all images the same size, however this will be defeated as soon as height & width values are added to the HTML code.
    <img src="some_image.jpg" height="xx" width="xx" alt="some description">
    When asking for help in this forum, it's best to upload your test page to a temporary web space.  Either a commercial one or a TEST folder on your site's destination server.

  • Printing iphoto book

    Trouble printing iphoto books. I've been creating a iphoto books and then printing them out on my canon mp530 printer so that I can put the pages in protective sleeves and then send update pages to family albums. My problem is when I print the pages from the iphoto book, some of the pictures have heads cut off etc. The picture on the photo book page is fine but when "I"print I'm not getting what I see. Is this apples way to control the iphoto book and force us to buy the album? or is there something I can do to make it work?

    Welcome to the Apple Discussions. Do a Print to PDF first, check the pdf version. If the image looks OK in the PDF it should print OK from the PDF.
    On one of the photos that were chopped off, Control-click on the photo in the book and select "Fit Photo to Frame" option in the contextual menu. Then try again.

    TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
    I've created an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. It's compatible with iPhoto 08 libraries and Leopard. iPhoto does not have to be closed to run the application, just idle. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.
