Picture in Picture (how to?)

I have 2 film clips in Final Cut Express and I would like the top timelined one to be a small PIP as it is poor quality and is one singing head of a duet with the second singing head being the main one.
So- having purchased the Tom W book on it and checking PIP I see it doesn't actually say HOW to shrink the first singing head (sounds dreadful) so that I CAN place it onto the main one.
Can someone give me a blow-by-blow on how to go from having two clips on my time line, one below the other, to having one as a smaller image inside the larger one?
Thank you VERY much.

Thanks VJM, I used the double-click, Motion tab select, scale and reposition technique as described in the quoted thread (NO idea what wireframes are... SCARY!) and was already rendering when I posted. Due to them both being imports I had to render for 17 minutes and was worried that I had left out the important "keyframe" stage (as the thread I used said "to animate the clip keyframe it blahblahblah") and that that would do something bad.
But then it finally finished and it was fine and I actually already uploaded my poor attempt at my first PIP to YouTube.
I am really struggling to learn FCE and decided that rather than to read the book OR manual I would just use it when needed. Problem with that is that sometimes I do not have the time to learn the new skill before the video is needed and so I revert to the safer coughiMoviecough for quickness. And IT just doesn't work with FCE very well. The result OR the thinking! LOL! I will get there- PS took a couple of weekends and Dreamweaver took 6 so I guess I say that I would manage with 12 if I set my mind to it? Learning curves and age do not mix.
