Picture in Signature v Picture

I'm confused about the right way to send my photo as part of my stored "signature," at the end of my emails. Part of the confusion is that you can store your photo in your Address Book card as well as in your user Account settings in System Prefs. I have mine in both places.
I set up my Signature in the Mail preferences, using the Signature tab. I typed my text signoff. The I did a drag-and-drop to place the jpg underthe text. Two issues:
1. Some people who get my mail say the picture doesn't show up automatically. Where the picture should be they simply see a link ref to the jpg. They have to click on it, and then their email program opens the picture in a separate window. Yuck. I'm sending the pic simply as part of my signature...not as an attachment or download.
2. When I open my own SENT messages from my SENT folder here's what I see. I see the message I sent, along with the signature and photo -- fine. But at the top of the screen I see ANOTHER copy of my picture, to the right of the FROM/SUBJECT/DATE information. Below the date info there is a paper-clip icon indicating an attachedment....then a "Save" button and a "slideshow" button. When I click on these, MAIL offers me the opportunity to save my picture to the desktop or see it in a slide show...Again, Mail appears to be treating my "signature" pic as an attachment.
Am I doing something wrong? I know how to attach photos to emails. All I want for my signature is just a signature -- text and photo.
Can someone explain? -- David in Kansas City

just drag the picture in the signature composition window in Mail preferences->signatures when creating a signature.

Only Apple Account Security could help at this point. You can try calling Apple Support in Canada - you'll have to find one of the several ways, such as Skype, to call an 800 number from outside of the relevant country - and ask for Account Security and see if they can help. Or you can find a friend who speaks Chinese and ask them to help you talk to Apple Support in China. There are really no other options that I know of.
Note, by the way, that these are user-to-user support forums. You aren't speaking with Apple when you post here.
    Regards.

  • How to paste pictures into email account signature

How to paste pictures into email account signature. I cannot get the pic to be visible. I have an iPhone 6 Plus

I think I got it to working, IMbatman13folllowing the directions from that thread.
I created a signature on my laptop.  Included a png in it.
Sent an email with that signature to myself on my iPhone. I did not put a message in the body.
Opened it up on iPhone. Selected entire 'body'.  Copied all.
Went into Settings, Signatures, Selected a different email account, pasted in what I had copied.
    And it worked.

  • Pictures in Signature Files?

I see some with pictures in their signature files. How did they add them. In my settings I can't find anywhere to upload a picture or a link as a signature.

    Hi Adam!
To post an image in  Discussions, create a Screen Shot of the image you wish to post.
Upload the image to an online storage facility, like one of these linked to below.
    Flickr
    ImageShack
    PhotoBucket
    PICVAULT
    Twango
    tinypic
    imageno
Then use HTML formatting, to insert the URL of the location.
    Use this format <img src="Insert URL Here">
Post the resulting line of text.
You can alternately insert the URL of the image between ! (Exclamation Marks) to have it appear in a post.
Keep the images small, and unobtrusive, when possible.
If the image is large, you can use this format:
    <a href="Insert URL Here"target="_blank"><img src="Insert Same URL Here" width="Insert Desired Size Here"></a>
Desired Size is a number, dependent on the size to be displayed in the post, such as 20, 50, 200, etc. You can experiment with that number.
Below that type "Click to View Full Size".
The image will appear in the post at the size you selected, but when clicked, will open full screen.
You can also just post a Link/URL, to the image location, using this format:
    <a href="Insert URL Here">Type Title Here</a>
    Or use Skitch.
    Quoted from the Skitch website:
"Skitch.com is a webservice that works hand in hand with our application Skitch to give you 1-click uploading of images for fast and fun image sharing."

  • Mail - picture signature will not change

I'v changed my "picture signature" (the picture that appears at the top of emails)by going to my account at .Mac - mail/preferences/photo then saved it etc.
Now - if I send an email from the .Mac page it shows the new photo, but when I send an email from my Mail account on my computer it still shows the old one.
I've found these instructions about deleting a file:-
"Drag the file named "<username>@mac.com" to the Trash. It is located in this path: o ~/Library/Caches/com.apple.addressservices/Photos/<username>@mac.com "
But these instructions are for whatever OS was around in 2003 and don't make sense now. Anybody know what to do ?

go to photo booth and replace your account photo.

  • Signature Mail.app and picture

  • Sender's signature picture gets replaced when I reply to sender. Any solutions? Thanks.

Client's signature picture gets replaced by random logo when I reply to the email.
    Happens randomly.

The company uses one email address as our default name for Exchange accounts, but people can send me emails with slightly different aliases: [email protected], [email protected] etc. If I reply to emails that reached me through one of these aliases, Mail does not recognize that all these addresses are actually mine. Therefore, when I "reply all", I end up on the CC list. I wonder if you have a similar problem.
I am not sure how that works on an iPad, but on Mac Mail program, I can add additional email addresses in Preferences -> Accounts -> "Account Information" tab -> "Email Address" entry, separated by one comma and a space each. This prevents Mail from replying to myself.

  • How to create a customised signature in mail(with picture)?

    Hey,
I want to create a signature with a picture that I need to minimized like a logo.
    Can someone help me?
    Thanks,
    Sam

Yeah, it was a cool idea. So I tried it. I took a picture of myself with the webcam and saw that it was 88k 640 X 480. I cropped it in Photoshop to 130 X 110 at 72 dpi, adjusted the color levels a bit, then saved for web. Final picture is under 3k and looks fine.
Open Mail preferences, Signatures - Create a new signature file for an account and dragged the photo from the desktop into the window with my business signature.
Done. My name, business name, and picture are automatically added to outgoing emails if I choose that signature file before sending the message.

  • Pictures in Signature

    Hi,
How can insert an picture within my signature in Mail.
    Naren

This is the Leopard Mail topic... the problem I had with answering your question is that you have not updated you Public Profile to show that you are using a version of Leopard. So I was guessing. Your profile (at the bottom of the message) shows you are running Tiger.
I went to my copy of Mail and checked again, and in the preferences I click on Signatures, then create a new signature, then dragged a jpg from my desktop into the area where you type the text of your signature. I get a "plus" sign as I'm dragging in the picture, and when I release the mouse, the picture is added to the signature.

  • Why does my email signature disappear when i send pictures?

i am having issuer with sending pictutres via email.
if i use the insert image i can only select a single image at a time ... slow..
so to avoid this time waste i go to pictures, select the images i want and click share via mail option
and the images appear along with my signature line.
when the mail is recieved my signature has disappeared.
    why?
    kenny

This is the step that I took after inputting my signature.
On the right, after saving my document, I click "Get Others to Sign."  I was confused because it says that it's powered by EchoSign.  Like I stated before, my clients are able to sign this document when I send it to them, but it is returned to me with their signature (not in the signature field, but at the end of the document), and my signature is missing.  I tested this on myself - my signature is missing when they receive it.

  • Put picture in signature

My wife wants to put a picture of herself in her signature, so that people to whom she sends mail will see it embedded in the e-mail. Any idea how to do that in Mail?

You can try following the directions here:
    http://allforces.com/2006/04/14/css-signatures/
It worked for me after a while and I have not html knowledge, he provides code for you, plus you have to have access to an online storage to place any image in an email for everyone to see.
Its not that hard, plus if you don't have an HTML editor you can try the free TextWrangler from BareBones. www.barebones.com
