Picture lost

hi, my name is celeste, i am using nokia 5233, had a problem with my cellphone, i lost a picture on it and never recover them, can you help me recover all the picture that was lost in my cellphone.
Thank you

your photos are in phone memory or memory card?
If by accident you format memory card or delete your photos, you'll need recovery software (e,g recover my file), ard reader is preferred for this purpose

  • Pictures lost in ipod

I spent a few days in Athens and took about 300 pictures. I transferred them with the camera connector on my 20Go ipod (bought in august). Of course, I erased the compact flash. And then, while trying to transfer them to my ibook: 200 pictures lost. One whole roll is missing i.e. not showing on the ipod (but the directory Roll#3 is here via Finder), another one has thumbnails but 3/4 of full sized images are missing (while looking with finder).
I reseted the ipod twice (after full recharge), so what are my other solutions?
I have DiskWarrior, should I run it on my ipod? Will it write something on the ipod and erase some data that will no longer be recoverable?
Should I try DataRescue (I have only demo version, so I will have to buy it)?
Is http://www.mediafour.com/products/xplaypb/ going to help the recovery? (I can install windows on another machine).
Ps: I did not transfert anything on my ipod since the last transfert with the camera connector, so the files should be hidden somewhere and recoverable?

Any chance an Apple guy read this?
Any chance Apple will provide a software update to avoid this problem that a lot of people have?
Where do I complain directly to Apple for this via the website?

  • How can I retrieve pictures, lost from my iphone during a backup?

How can I retrieve pictures, lost from my iphone during a backup?

The photos could have gone a couple of different places ...but it is unlikely that they are lost forever.  It kind of depends how your Backup was done.  With many Computer-based iTunes connections, your Computer Photo App will actually open first when you connect your iPhone and the photo transfer will happen between the iPhone and the App.  Assuming that isn't what happened in your case, but you did Backup on iTunes, you could reconnect to iTunes and then click on your iPhone button on the Computer screen ...typically the iTunes Summary screen will show up ...but you can tab-through the various iTunes Screens and find the Photo page.  You could check your options and see if you have a Manual Sync setting regarding iTunes to iPhoone ...this would mean you have to select the Photos you want to download to the iPhone during the Sync.

  • IPHOTO crash, pictures lost

Just recently iPhoto crashed and I've lost all of my pictures that I downloaded. I've tried to locate them through backdoor means but with no avail. iPhoto is a relatively new program to me so I need all the help I can get.

Hi, Catiepie. Since you were in the middle of re-importing your photos when you posted, we don't know whether or not that resolved your problem. If it didn't, you may now be a bit worse off than you were before, depending on exactly how you went about it. Let us know the outcome.
When your computer hangs and you force it to restart, it doesn't have a chance to do its normal directory housekeeping chores before shutting down, and the result is often a damaged directory that doesn't properly reflect changes you made before the forced restart. That's one possible explanation for the corruption and apparent disappearance of your iPhoto Library. A more likely explanation, given your additional questions, is that you had been mucking about in your iPhoto Library folder in the Finder, trying to arrange things in there more understandably. If that's the case, your library was corrupt even before the system hang and forced restart, and its corruption was entirely the result of your meddling with the organization that iPhoto imposes on its library, and expects to find in place the next time you open the application. You must stay out of your iPhoto Library folder at all times, leaving everything inside it exactly as iPhoto has arranged it. Simply renaming a file in there is enough to prevent iPhoto from opening the library at all. Use the options within iPhoto for all alterations of the contents of its library.
If you have trouble locating photos in your iPhoto Library when you're working in other apps, open iPhoto and export copies of the photos in question to the desktop. Then quit iPhoto. The pix will then be right where you can easily put your hands on them, and you won't have to go rummaging through the iPhoto Library folder after them.

  • Pictures Lost

I lost pictures in Rezound.  I was able to upload them to my PC from an old phone.  Can anyone help me with how now to transfer them back to Rezound?

If you have a Rezound, why did you post this in the Incredible 2 section?
You may want to consider copying those photos onto an SD card, and then putting the card into your phone (be sure to then change the default for saving photos to the SD card).  That way if you change phones , you'd just have to move the card.  And be sure to back your photos up periodically, either on your computer or via a cloud service.

  • Pictures lost in Slide Show

I added pictures from my flash drive into a slide show in Elements 6.0.  I saved the slide show as a project.  Several days later when I opened the project from the Organizer, the slides were black except for the text I had added.  I assume I have lost the link to my pictures although I have not moved the flash drive since I made the slide show.  How can I retrieve my pictures?

The photos have never appeard in Organizer because I imported them from my Flash Drive directly into the slide show.  I have, however, opened,
edited, saved, closed, and reopened the slide show several times and the pictures were in the slide show. Now, all of a sudden, they have disappeared.
I was hoping to avoid saving the pictures in Organizer before adding them to the slide show... must I do that?

  • Help me pictures lost during update

i just tried to update my phone and i have nothing from after December. i am very disappointed i cried because of the pictures i have lost. icloud only restored i tto December saying that was the last time i backed it up, which is wrong ihave done it multiple times. i hate apple i want my freaking pictures back

My first step if I were you and had such important pix, would be to get a USB microSD adapter, and get those pix off the card onto your PC. The adapters are inexpensive and this may save your marriage!
Then, once your a** is covered, go to Options > Device > Storage. Uncheck "Enable compression". Make sure "Media card support" is checked. Save. Then go to the menu and select "Safely remove media card". Pull the card out. Do a battery pull (with device on, remove the battery, wait 1 minute, replace it and wait for it to reboot. Then reinsert the card. It should now be recognized.
Note that this is an overconservative process. Others have dealt with the same issue with fewer steps. I've decided on this process after dealing with the same issue for 5 users.
*** Whatever you do, don't continue to "repair" the card in your BB unless you want to risk degrading or losing your newborn's pix. I'm not 100% sure, but I think that's how a user I know lost a number of important pix.
Hope this helps. Please let us know how it works out. By the way - congrats on the newborn! ~ecm

  • Corrupted? Desktop picture lost forever?

I have a problem since installing 10.6.7. My 'desktop' background image must have become corrupted. Prior to the 10.6.7 installation I had a small image surrounded by a colour (selected from colors panel). Since the installation I have only the Apple star wars background (though all previous desktop contents remain.
Checking back through preferences > desktop, I see a large question mark in the well which usually contains a miniature of the desk top screen. This '?' will not allow itself to be clicked and dragged to destruction. But … all the standard Apple offerings and most of the iPhotos can still be used as the desktop background and their transfer to the well removes the '?' - only a few of the images (all Jpeg, I notice), produce the '?'
Strangely, the original desktop background can still be seen in the iPhoto collection … but the moment I try to transfer it, the '?' appears in the well.
Ideally I need to be able to get rid of the '?' before anything else. Can anyone advise?

Right click produces 'show file' and when selected, a blank finder window opens. Zilch!
Which is the key piece of information. Iphoto has lost this photograph, and so it cannot share it with the Desktop.
Try these in order - from best option on down...
    1. Do you have an up-to-date back up? If so, try copy the library6.iphoto file from the back up to the iPhoto Library (Right Click -> Show Package Contents) allowing it to overwrite the damaged file.
    2. Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. This will create a new library based on data in the albumdata.xml file. Not everything will be brought over - no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your albums and keywords back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.
    3. If neither of these work then you'll need to create and populate a new library.
To create and populate a new *iPhoto 08* library:
Note this will give you a working library with the same Events and pictures as before, however, you will lose your albums, keywords, modified versions, books, calendars etc.
In the iPhoto Preferences -> Events Uncheck the box at 'Imported Items from the Finder'
Move the iPhoto Library to the desktop
Launch iPhoto. It will ask if you wish to create a new Library. Say Yes.
Go into the iPhoto Library (Right Click -> Show Package Contents) on your desktop and find the Originals folder. From the Originals folder drag the individual Event Folders to the iPhoto Window and it will recreate them in the new library.
When you're sure all is well you can delete the iPhoto Library on your desktop.
In the future, in addition to your usual back up routine, you might like to make a copy of the library6.iPhoto file whenever you have made changes to the library as protection against database corruption.

  • Pictures Lost, want to keep the thumbnails

I was trying to import pictures from my digital camera when my hard drive was almost full. I was warned that I am low on the disk space and the import stopped (/finished) in the middle. I disconnected camera, made some space on the hard drive, reconnected camera and tried importing again. Unfortunately, my hard drive got full again and I had to repeat everything. This happened for good 3-4 times before all of the files could be imported. (Yeah I know, doesnt sound very well planned). Anyway, everything looked fine and I could see thumbnails of all pictures confirming that they are there.
5 days pass and I try to open the pictures by double clicking the thumbnail and all I can see is a big question mark. This happened to 60% of consecutive pictures. I did everything I could since then, but now I am convinced that I have completely lost them.
Can someone explain whay might have gone wrong? I can see the pictures in the thumbnails, but once I increase the size of the thumbnails to certain size, a question mark appears in place of all missing pictures.
I want to rebuild my thumbnails database now since iPhoto is horribly slow. But I still was to at least preserve those thumbnails of the pictures from the most memorable time that I ever spent with my family. Can anyone help?

This often indicates a Permissions problem in the Library. Download BatchMod from
    http://macchampion.com/arbysoft/
And apply it to the iPhoto Library Folder using the settings found here:
    http://homepage.mac.com/toad.hall/.Pictures/Forum/BatChmod.png
(Credit to Old Toad for this one).
A Larry says, OS X needs about 10 gigs of hard drive space for normal OS operations - things like virtual memory, temporary files and so on. Without this space your Mac will slow down as the OS hunts for space on the disk, files will be fragmented, also slowing things down, apps will crash and the risk of data corruption - that is damage to your files, photos, music - increases exponentially. Your first priority is to make more space on that HD. Nothing else can be done until you do. Purchase an external HD and move your Photos and Music to it. Both iPhoto and iTunes can run perfectly well with the Library on an external disk.
Lastly, have you looked inside the iPhoto Library Folder for your pics? They should be in the Originals folder.
Don't change anything in the iPhoto Library Folder via the Finder or any other application. iPhoto depends on the structure as well as the contents of this folder. Moving things, renaming things or otherwise making changes will prevent iPhoto from working and could even cause you to damage or lose your photos.
When you’ve recovered the disk space we can go about getting your Library back on track.

  • Pictures lost in book after upgrading to ilife

I made a book the past 6 months and I just went to order it and a lot of my pics are coming up with an "!" error. The book won't let me add them, and they aren't showing up in the book. I bummed cause this took forever, I don't wanna have to redo the 100 pages again! Does anyone have the same problem or know whats going on?! Please help!

The "!" means that iPhoto has lost the link to the original file in the library. Try the two fixes below in order as needed:
    Fix #1
Launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys depressed and follow the instructions to rebuild the library. Select all options.
    Fix #2
Rebuild the library using iPhoto Library Manager as follows:
Using iPhoto Library Manager to Rebuild Your iPhoto Library
1 -Download iPhoto Library Manager and launch.
2 -Click on the Add Library button, navigate to your User/Pictures folder and select your iPhoto Library folder.
3 - Now that the library is listed in the left hand pane of iPLM, click on your library and go to the File->Rebuild Library menu option
4 - In the next window name the new library and select the location you want it to be placed.
5 - Click on the Create button.
Note: This creates a new library based on the LIbraryData.xml file in the library and will recover Events, Albums, keywords, titles and comments but not books, calendars or slideshows. The original library will be untouched for further attempts at fixing or in case the rebuilt library is not satisfactory.

  • Almost 10GB of pictures lost

last week Aperture started behaving awkwardly. It started filling up my HD on my Macbook. About 1GB per day extra.
I started cleaning up Aperture projects and deleting masters and versions of bad pics.
All of a sudden I've lost about 10 projects. I could trace them in the trash. But all lightables etc with my best stuff were lost definitely.
Pictures were in wrong folders in the Pictures folder.
iPhoto library was messed up and Originals were not accessible...
I moved everyting in the Pictures folder to a backup HD.
I started importing again, but no luck. In no time the HD fills up.
Files are shown during import in iPhoto but aren't accessible.
    Aperture cannot import iPhoto libraries....
Is it Leopard? iLife 08 or is Aperture such a mess?
the fact pictures are scattered among folders really freaks me out.
Most is work, but the loss of the birthday pictures of my niece (still not made into a slideshow etc) is really bad news.
    Anybody have a solution?

Annie, Greetings, and welcome to the BlackBerry.com Support Forums.
Bad news... if he entered the PW more than than the allotted time, there is no retrieving them, unless you had a back up of the device.
The wipe will delete all messages, contacts, personal data, and pictures on the device memory, as that is what it is designed to do. The security on the device worked as designed.

  • I can not open iPhoto, are all my pictures lost?

I used iPhoto just yesturday, but today when I went to open it it would not open and instead showed a question mark where the application is in my dock. I am very worried that if I can not open iPhoto all of my pictures will be lost. My main concern is not necesarliy getting iPhoto to work but retreaving my pictures. They are very importnt to me.
Thanks to who ever can help

    To re-install iPhoto
    1. Put the iPhoto.app in the trash (Drag it from your Applications Folder to the trash)
2a: On 10.5:  Go to HD/Library/Receipts and remove any pkg file there with iPhoto in the name.
2b: On 10.6: Those receipts may be found as follows:  In the Finder use the Go menu and select Go To Folder. In the resulting window type
    /var/db/receipts/
    2c: on 10.7 they're at
    /private/var/db/receipts
A Finder Window will open at that location and you can remove the iPhoto pkg files.
    3. Re-install.
If you purchased an iLife Disk, then iPhoto is on it.
If iPhoto was installed on your Mac when you go it then it’s on the System Restore disks that came with your Mac. Insert the first one and opt to ‘Install Bundled Applications Only.
If you purchased it on the App Store or have a Recent Mac you can find it in your Purchases List.

  • Pictures lost for ever?

So, my sis has an iPhone 5s and a Windows PC.
Today she wanted to move all her photos from her iPhone to her PC.
As usual she opened up a window with her iPhone, and a window to copy the pictures to.
She selected all the files and moved them... as usual.
After the transfer, she discovered she could not view the pictures, and called me for assistance.
I noticed all the files where AAE-files, and figured this was just an Apple picture format.
Tried opening the files in different viewers but no... I came here and read that .aae is a side-file for the .jpg files, and realy just an .xml file...
Why are these .aae suddenly the ONLY files showing when browsing the iPhone in Windows?
    Where are all the .jpg's?
Since her phone was not synced/backed up for a long time, I guess all her pictures are lost forever...?
I have now set up Dropbox and iCloud for future backup, but why did Apple change this all of a sudden?
I guess this will be an issue for many unexperienced users for the coming future...

    Hello Troels83dk,
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.
From your post I see that you're not seeing the actual photos to import from the iPhone on your Windows PC.  I'd like you to ensure that you're importing the photos correctly by following the directions in the article below.
Import media to a Windows PC
    Before importing your media:
Unlock your iOS device using your passcode, particularly if you've never synced your device with the computer before. Learn more about iOS passcodes.
Makes sure your iOS device trusts the computer you want to import your media onto. Learn more about "Trust this Computer."
Windows 8: Learn how to import photos and videos from a camera, phone, or DVD (Windows Help)
Windows 7 and Windows Vista: Learn how to get pictures from your camera to your computer (Windows Help)
If your computer doesn't recognize an attached iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch as a camera, and prevents you from importing photos to your computer, learn how to resolve the issue.

  • Pre 2 resets and pictures lost

I just got a Pre 2 prior to a trip and I snapped a few pictures during the trip.  I could view the pictures and show them to folks and things were fine.  I was going to transfer them to my laptop but I didn't get around to it.   Then today while turning my phone on, I noticed it wouldn't come on.  I first though the battery was dead so I plugged it in.  Then it proceeded to reset itself and when it came back up ( I had to enter setup stuff) I lost all my pictures!
I've had the phone for a month and this never happened.  Thinking back about what I did different, I tried to sync my contacts last night.  It sad it was synching and I though all was fine but apparently not.
Looking through the documentation it appears these pictures are lost.  It looke like they are not included in the automatic backup.  Is that correct?
Secondly, is there an issue with the software that synching the contacts will cause the unit to reset?  That sounds like  a pretty serious issues me.
Any insight would be much appreciated.

  • Pictures lost when exporting pdf from Indesign.

    Hey
I have a problem with exporting an Indesign CS4 document into pdf. In the pdf-file all pictures turn into grey boxes.
All photos is cmyk and saved as eps-format.
    What is wrong?
    Hope someone can help.

Subject line says you're *exporting* PDF. Are you exporting or printing to the Adobe PDF printer? Or do you mean that Acrobat is displaying perfectly good pictures as gray boxes (and you verified this by looking at the same PDF on a different machine)?
In my Acrobat 7 (haven't installed 9 yet) I can turn off display of large pictures in Preferences > Page Display > Display large images. If this is unchecked, I can make at least some of my pictures display as gray boxes.
