Picture Message will not download
If my friends are using an Iphone and send me a picture message it will not download. I had this problem before and the people at the verizon store told me to do a software up date. I did and it fixed the issue for a few days. Now I am back toconstantly texting my friends back and saying your message wont download so I can't see the picture.
I hate this phone....should have waited for the Iphone.
Make sure you have 'mobile data' turned on in the notification bar.
If I turn that off, then I dont get pictures from friends with iphones.
As long as it is turned on, I seem to get text/pictures fine.

That doesn't sound like you bought it from a legimate source with a receipt from the Apple store.
that sounds like you bought it off a person either thru craiglist or ebay. -
Messages wil not download- Help!
only a few messages will go thru, I think just the multi-media messages will not download. I have plenty of data, etc... What to do....

Sorry to see the trouble you've had with the multi-media messages. Let's see if we can get those downloading! What model phone are you having the trouble with? What zipcode are you having the problem in? Are you using the embedded text messaging app, the Verizon Messages app or a third party app? Do you get an error message?

What system and iPhoto versions are you using? See if this fix by Robin Johnson will work for you.

I figured out the fix for the Mac users having this problem. I connected my iPhone to my iMac and started iTunes. A dialogue came up in iTunes, I OK'd that and then OK'd the usual "Do you trust this Mac" that comes up on my iPhone.
Suddenly Image Capture launched itself and there were all my photos, ready to be downloaded.

May I ask your intention by doing this? Is the particular message harmful to your computer?
Which type of email account are you using? If you want to prevent a particular message from being downloaded to Outlook, we can login to the web interface of your email account and then remove the particular email from your Inbox.

I've purchased a few dozen songs from itunes on my iphone. A few of these songs will not download properly and I keep getting a "unable to download song" message. My account info is correct and full signal. It seems to continually keep trying to download but cannot. Please help!
i do understand that. if you purchased the music on the phone. its still available to you. if you go in itunes on your computer. go to purchases. there should be all the music you have purchased. there you can download the song if it isn't already and then sync it to your phone which will add the song to the phone. have you tried to power off phone and then try to download again. the itunes way is just another option.

I have an ipad 2, ios7 will not download. I keep getting an error message that just tells me ios wont install, however it does not tell me why. Any suggestions? Thanks
I find the Air easier to work with if I need a keyboard if, for no other reason, that's more compact to carry around than the iPad and a keyboard, even one that is part of an iPad case. I also often have to access data from one application when using another, and iOS is not at its best when having to do rapid application switching (Command-Tab switching is a lot faster than the double press home, scroll the icons at the bottom and swap).
As well, for editing I find the lack of sandboxing on OSX allows for efficiency enhancing utilities across applications, something you don't get in iOS. I understand the reason for that, but while more secure it also creates issues of its own in terms of usability in a number of situations.
I prefer the iPad for totally single application focused situations where little or no input is required. I use my iPad to hold copies of manuals when I'm doing a full day continuing education presentation for CPAs. A MacBook Aire can't really fill in very easily for that usage.
I see them each as tools appropriate for different jobs. -
Mac suggestes downloads to open AVI files on HDVR. Telestream finds the plugged in HDVR file but will not play...blank black screen which has no sound or picture. DivX will not download, report sent to Aplle. Any ideas how to play the files?

Well this is stupid - I wrote the question above and now it is telling me the message is blank - how dumb is this.
I am having tremendous difficulty sending sipmle typed texts, voice texts and picture text messages to non I- phone users.
Simple text messages are sporadic and seem to be impacted by whether I incluse a subject or not - picture texts will not go at all.
Anyone else having this problem ???It's a corporate phone so will need to check. Will not send text messages to non I-phones if they contain a "subject" or a picture. Wierd - regular voice or typed text messages are fine.
