Picture sent via adobe reader

I received a picture in my email that was sent through Adobe Reader x. I am trying to send this picture to 'my pictures' and have it set as my background, but cannot figure out how. Can anyone help?

Not really an Adobe Reader issue.
If it IS a file that Reader can open, that means it's a PDF. If you want to use an image as a desktop background, it will need to be converted to a .jpg or the like (an image file).
Adobe Reader cannot do this. You would need to either have Adobe Acrobat (the paid version) or something else that can convert PDF to an image file such as a .jpg. Google "convert PDF to .jpg" and see what you can find.

After you finished installing did you launch Adobe Reader from your /Applications folder and accept EULA(End User License Agreement)?

Not possible.
No version of Adobe Reader can:
--| create PDF
--| manipulate PDF page content
--| export PDF page content
Adobe Reader XI does provide a "connection" to various Adobe hosted online subscription services (that are under "acrobat.com").
There is a subscription services can create PDF from supported file formats that are uploaded to the service.
This subscription service is "PDF Pack".
With an active (paid up) subscription to a service one can make use of the service.

Presets not taking affect when printing via adobe reader

I have discovered that after upgrading to Mavericks, when printing multiple page documents via Adobe Reader, it will not take on my 1-sided printing preset and instead prints 2-sided as per the default setting on the printer driver.
Has anyone come across this?

I seldom use Adobe Reader except for completing forms and printing them. Preview never seems to get those right. Wht make and model of printer are you using? If your prnter uses a PDE to set duplexing, I can imagine that Adobe Reader is not going that deep. It would look at the PPD and just use whatever is in there. If you let me know the printer make and model, I may be able to confirm that. I am not sure that will get you any closer to a sulution. It may help answer "why".

You can view non-PDF documents, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, RTF, in Adobe Reader for iOS. However, you are not able to add comments or edit non-PDF documents in Adobe Reader.
To open a non-PDF document in other iOS app.
Tap anywhere in a document to display the toolbar in Adobe Reader.
Tap the Share icon on the right side of the toolbar.
Select Open In... from the menu.
Select an appropriate app to open the document.
Alternatively, you can convert a Word/Excel/PowerPoint/RTF document to PDF using the paid subscription service called Adobe PDF Pack and add comments to a resultant PDF document.

Problems with calculations using fillable forms via Adobe Reader

I have created a fillable form to use for our business. Our Tech's need to access these forms when working on job sites. I am able to access it on our Android Tablet via Adobe Reader, but all of the fields don't add/calculate Is there a particular version of Adobe we should download to the Tablet in order for this to work?

IPhone 5 - "Not Delivered" Message for Pictures Sent via iMessage

I have received the "not delivered" message when trying to send a picture message via iMessage. The pictures actually are received by the other parties, yet I still get the error message, as do other parties when trying to send photos to me. If the picture is sent via text they send without the error message. Does anyone have any information that could help me with this problem?
I have the 32GB iPhone 5 on iOS 7.1.1.

Problems Submitting PDF Forms via Adobe Reader XI?

I have used Acrobat Pro (Versions 9/X and XI) to successfully create fillable PDF forms. I distributed the forms to a server via Acrobat, then set up a hyperlink to the form's location for my users. The users were able to fill the form and submit it. I was able to manage the submitted form data via Adobe Tracker. Recently, many of my users have been updated to Acrobat Reader XI. Now, some of these same users (who have successfully submitted these forms in the past - before the latest upgrade) can no longer submit the form data! If a user fills the form and clicks submit, it appears to that user that the form was successfully submitted, but no data appears in Adobe Tracker, even after refreshing... What would cause this??

Can datasets be managed via Adobe Reader?

I designed a fillable form using Live Cycle via Adobe Pro 8 for a colleague and set it up so responses were returned to his email. He has Adobe Reader on but does not have Adobe Pro installed on his computer. Is there a way that the forms he receives by email can be automatically saved to the dataset file? I always received a prompt asking me if I wanted to save to the file when I was managing the form. Thanks.

This is not the Reader forum. However, you have a Windows issue (assuming you are running Windows). Just right click on a PDF and select open with. If Reader does not show up in the list, select Choose default program. Again (in Win7) you will get the same list of recommended programs. Instead select the Browse button and go to Program Files>Adobe>{Reader folder} and select the Reader program. Before closing, check the Always use box. That should do it. The old process for setting file associations in Windows Explorer of Win7 has never been an easy one for me to find (if it even exists anymore). In XP you can look at the folder options in Windows Explorer as I recall to set the default programs for the various file types. Newer OSs have been dumbed down to do the process, in some sense giving one less control.

I have created a document using LiveCycle (Trial) to get something from my custom web service, using Adobe Pro to open the file and its success to call the web service when clicking the call button, however, when I try to do the same thing using Adobe Reader XI, seems not work. Please help!

The only way it can work with Reader is if the document is Reader-enabled with LiveCycle Reader Extensions or the similar product from Datalogics. Acrobat is not able to add the corresponding usage right.

Transferring pictures sent via sms to PC

My Daughter has over the past two years sent pictures of my Granddaughter via sms to me and now they are getting to be too many when I scroll down the list. I have an ip5 and would either like to transfer them into my itunes library or onto a seperate file on my PC. I haven´t activated or allowed photos taken with my ip5 camera to sync onto/into my itunes library or icloud when connected to the PC while I transfer these photos manually onto the PC. Any suggestions?

I contacted LG Product Support with the same question. Their partial response follows:
If you are trying to transfer files from the phone to the computer, you will need a micro SD card. Your phone supports a memory card with up to 32GB
Since the memory of your phone is too small the computer will not recognize it, so that’s why you must get a memory card and move the pictures to the memory card
In order to move the pictures to the SD card, you must go into your picture gallery and tap more, then select “move to SD card/ move to phone”, select all files, hit move.
After this, go to Menu - Settings & Tools - tools - USB Mass storage, and then connect the phone to the computer. Your phone will be recognized as a removable disk and you will be able to drag and drop the files.

Forms (via Adobe reader) will not load in Firefox

This is a company computer and I really want to use Firefox. After installing it, I went back to work (our website uses a lot of adobe forms for reports etc) and I was unable to "see" any of the forms after firefox was done supposedly loading them. HELP! I do not want to go back to Internet Explorer! Yuck!

Download the Adobe Cleaner to completely remove Reader and associated files
Download the offline installer and replace it
Sometimes a "fresh" install cures it.

No, Adobe stopped that happening many releases ago, for reasons that I don't understand but they will not change.

PDF files which stored in document library cannot be opened directly via Adobe Reader

When I open PDF files(Clicking on the "..." ellipsis actions menu and then selecting "Open") that are stored in the library of SharePoint2013 , it caused "An error occurred on the server ". However, in the Search
Center , I can open the same file from the search results. In search result, the action menu is not "Open", but "Edit ".

Did you install the following hotfix package on your SharePoint 2013 servers:
