Picture simply becomes black or a black triangle

When i select a picture, go to Full-Screen Mode (f), and for example slide the highlights or shadows slider, the picture immeidately becomes black. When I am not in fullscreen mode, the pic becomes a black triangle. When I deselect the modifications, the preview returns.
I use a MacPro with Geforce 7300 GT, 10.4.10 and Aperture 1.54.

I have the same problem, I have two NVIDIA GeForce 7300GT on a new Mac Pro with Leopard and Aperture 1.5.6. When I have three monitors plugged in, Aperture does not display many pictures properly, on the alternate monitor it frequently comes up blank. On the main monitor, when I go to Full screen mode (press F), many photos look look completely corrupted. I figured out that the problem is a result of two video cards. I have the same problem when only using two monitors, if the monitors are plugged into different video cards. If the two monitors are plugged into the same card, it works fine (when their are only two monitors, not three).

In iTunes, click on "iTunes" in the menu bar, then on "About iTunes". Which version do you have?
If you are running OS X 10.5.8 (as per your signature), the iTunes 10.6.3 is the latest you can install and use. If your iTunes version is older, you can get that 10.6.3 here and see if it can deal with the library.
The latest iTunes, version 10.7, requires OS X 10.6.8 or newer. Unless your signature is wrong and you run a late Snow Leopard, Lion or even Mountain Lion, it won't work for you, and you could add me to the list of people asking the same question as Allan, "where's that library from?".

Some photos uploaded from iPhone4 becomes black on iPhoto

When I upload my pictures from my iPhone4, several vertical profile photos become black. They look fine on my iPhone and when I email them from my iPhone and save them on my Mac they look normal, but if I drag them into iPhoto (even under a different name), they become black again =S I tried deleting the photo and re-uploading, still the same...

There are several possible causes for the Black Screen issue
1. Permissions in the Library: Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Include the option to check and repair permissions.
2. Minor Database corruption: Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild.
3. A Damaged Photo: Select one of the affected photos in the iPhoto Window and right click on it. From the resulting menu select 'Show File (or 'Show Original File' if that's available). Will the file open in Preview? If not then the file is damaged. Time to restore from your back up.
4. A corrupted iPhoto Cache: Trash the com.apple.iPhoto folder from HD/Users/Your Name/Library/ Caches...
5. A corrupted preference file: Trash the com.apple.iPhoto.plist file from the HD/Users/ Your Name / library / preferences folder. (Remember you'll need to reset your User options afterwards. These include minor settings like the window colour and so on. Note: If you've moved your library you'll need to point iPhoto at it again.)
If none of these help:
As a Test:
Hold down the option (or alt) key key and launch iPhoto. From the resulting menu select 'Create Library'
Import a few pics into this new, blank library. Is the Problem repeated there?

Transparent background layer become black when publishing on iWeb

Dears,
I used Photoshop CS to create a pic without background. As usual I made my selection, copied it, paste it on a new file. Then a deleted the background layer (tried with or without merging/flattting the pic) and saved it in .jpg but also in .pgn
When dropping the picture in iWeb 2.0.2, everything looks great. The picture does not have a background.
But when published on .mac, the background becomes black.
I tried almost everything when formatting the pic, although the backgr remains black.
Just before I made the same with a wind turbine pic and it worked perfectly.

I have the same problem with the black backroung on my photo. I saved it over has a png but it still has the black background when I publish it to .mac. I would match it to the background color of iweb but I have a textured background. Is there a step that I am missing when I save it out to a PNG. Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated. The ! turns up when iPhoto loses the connection between the thumbnail in the iPhoto Window and the file it represents.
Option 1
Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Rebuild iPhoto Library Database from automatic backup.
If that fails:
Option 2
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. This will create a new library based on data in the albumdata.xml file. Not everything will be brought over - no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your albums and keywords back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one. .

A reset does not make tthe iPad "like new."
First, let's ensure that we agree on just what is a Reset...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until you see the Apple logo. Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears. You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
If the Reset doesn't work, try a Restore. Note that it's nowhere near as quick as a Reset. Connect via cable to the computer that you use for sync. From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab. Follow directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup. You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod. Again, say "yes."
At the end of the basic Restore, you will be asked if you wish to sync the iPad/iPod. As before, say "yes." Note that that sync selection will disappear and the Restore will end if you do not respond within a reasonable time. If that happens, only the apps that are part of the IOS will appear on your device. Corrective action is simple - choose manual "Sync" from the bottom right of iTunes.
If you're unable to do the Restore, go into Recovery Mode per the instructions here.

Basic troubleshooting from the User's Guide is reset, restart, restore (first from backup then as new). Try each of these in order until the issue is resolved.

I bought HP Laserjet Pro 200 Color Mfp m276 yesterday. I am completely new to printers and printing. My question is how to chose either the print out would be color or Black in white.
At my school liberary and public liberaries, when i print an image or document, in there printer drop down selection menu, they have the option of Color print or black in white print. I want to make mine same too. I have two printers there which is
1. HP Laserjet Pro 200 Color Mfp PCL6
2. NPI16FE39 (HP Laserjet Pro 200 Color Mfp m276NW)
I tried goint to Contol Panel>Drvices and Printers> HP Laserjet Pro 200 Color> printing preferences> and selected "Print in Graystyle"
than i printed from HP Laserjet Pro 200 Color; by selecting it from drop down menu, but the print out was still coloured..

Qosmio G30-126 monitor become black and FN buttons don't work

I have small problem, ehm two problems but perhaps small for you :)
Last week I install Vista ultimate WITHOUT RECOVERY CD..
It's OK, but I'm closing cover of notebook and instantly open, monitor become black and i can't anything do beyond restart .
In Control panel in possibilities of power supply , bookmark "options for closing pad" doesn't work.
Maybe it is by, because i don't driver if exist
And second problem maybe related with first but this is mistake by it, because I wasn't discover drivers because i don't hidden toolbar on up on dispay in Windows, where is standartly is.
I don't work major part hidden functions under key FN ( I think FN + F2,F3...F12) plus keys be the side POWER without multimedia keys on music..

First of all its interesting if you have downloaded and installed all Toshiba Vista drivers which are released on the Toshiba European driver page?
All drivers must be installed in the right order!
If I'm not mistaken the Qosmio G30-126 belongs to the PQG32E series. It was delivered with HD DVD drive and therefore you should choose the drivers for Qosmio G30 HD DVD (PQG32E)!!!
Please check firstly the Installation Instructions txt file and then install all drivers like mentioned in this document.
Regarding the display issue;
You should install the right NVIDIA driver from the Toshiba page!!
The FN keys and control buttons dont work because the Toshiba Vista Value Added Package was not installed. This package contains different applications which are necessary to get all Toshiba functions running!

After recent upadte to firefox 9.0 beta 5 the screen becomes black for most part. Its like the pages and everything is working perfectly but it becomes black and flickers a lot.

I m using win 7 home premium 64 bit edition. Yesterday night i updated the firefox to the latest 8.0.1 version and as soon as I open the window parts of the screen becomes black and starts flickering a lot. Can use everything on my laptop except browsers.Cant use it anyhow and also my internet explorer stops working when i try to download anything.

Mail Disappearing via Black Triangle

I have a Mac Mini G4 and my Mail is acting weird. Next to each of my 2 accounts in my Drafts folder I have a black triangle, when I click on the triangle it turns down however, nothing shows up in the Drafts folder. I have saved several drafts but they don't show up but if I do a search I can find them.

Restart your mac:
Safe Boot: Hold down the shift key after the chime until the Apple logo appears and the gear is moving.
It will take awhile but you will be asked to login.
Go to your Applications folder> Utilities and launch Disk Utility.
In the left side column, highlight your drive and repair permissions.( button down below).
From BDAqua:
Quit Mail, then In your home folder, try moving this folder & file to the Desktop then reboot...
/Users/YourUserName/Library/Caches/Mail
Move to the Desktop...
/Users/YourUserName/Library/Mail/Envelope Index
Mail will ask to import your messages. If all goes well and Mail is fixed trash the files on the desktop.

Screen becomes black during the connection is based.

Since two day, every time if I call somebody as soon as the phone the connection is based the display becomes black. It is the same problem, if I select someone from the contacts or I gives a number. If I press the off/on button the call ends. If I do nothing I can talk but the display is still black until the talk ends.

DrawLine - colors become black

have some problem with colors on nokias (canvas's drawLine(); it does not concern png).
When I test on emulator (7210) - there I can see all used colors, but on real device (6610) only the pure remain visible (eg. 255,0,0), all others become black. Is it 6610 problem? I tried to use "web safe" colors (max number of 256 limit) - no progress. (the same color rendering problem is on sony-err t610, all siemens' I checked show them correctly).

The problem is not with the 6610 - I have been testing on one without any colour problems. You should be able to get 4096 colours on that phone - that is, each component can be any multiple of 17 (11 hex). These colours are not as vivid as on the computer screen running an emulator, but they don't look black, unless the colour is a very dark one.
What do other applications look like on your phone? Could it be a hardware problem with the actual handset?
