Picture sms

upgraded to the new 3.1 update, but how do you send pictures via sms? in the sms app, theres no option for it, and when in photos, there also is no option for it. anybody have any clue.

3.1 had nothing to do with MMS (texting pics). 3.0 made the iphone capable of MMS. AT&T has not activated this feature yet.

I'm using Nokia 2700 Classic. I've a problem with Picture SMS. When I receive a Picture SMS and I wanna forward it as Picture SMS the cell phone make this sms as MMS and I can't send it as SMS. And my service provider charges for MMS. While in Picture SMS it contains equals to 3 text messages. & Nokia 2700 Classic creating a problem for me. Kindly solve it.

Hi and welcome. The 2700 is supported by Nokia Suite. After sync of the SMS's to the suite, they can be exported from the suite as a .csv file to use in other programs.

It may also be possible to transfer the SMS's from the old phone to a new phone via Bluetooth (Connection -> Data Transfer -> Phone Change) but that option may not apply to the 2700 and your new phone.

if any body know how to send the picture SMS from nokia 5200. it doesn't show the forward option while i receive any picture SMS.......

Msgs in urdu or picture sms

any way to view the msgs sent to me in urdu? coz i am in pakistan and ppl send me msgs in urdu but i just get question marks and cannot read them
and any way to view picture sms? not mms! the picture sms! .. i just get them blank and kant see the picture.. any way to deal with this problem?

Myself, I've never seen an Urdu version of Palm OS before, sorry.
AT&T (the company that bought Cingular) doesn't use Picture SMS, only MMS to send pictures.
Emailing pictures from the phone is another way.

Picture sms in java

hi can ne1 help me with jsms....in my code the PictureMessage constructor gives error.....it gives unknown class...i have imported the required packages but still i dunno what to do......
My target is to send a picture message as an sms..........

i didnt find ne...there are few which come along the
api....
my problem is...the class which i use ......ie

says package does not exist.....i have imported
You have to recheck again the CLASSPATH, it ok or not

E50 Sms Myfolders Transfering to 6220c

i am having a small trouble in nokia content transfer/switch application.
Recently i have updated my handset from E50 to 6220c. I have transfered
all data from E50 to 6220c except messages. My E50 had around about
7000-8000 messages in total with "My Folders" & Inbox having around 3000 messages.
I have tried copying/transfering these messages to 6220c but its not possible.
Things I have tried are-
1.Switch application- does not respond when i do the message transfer.
2.Nokia PC Suite- Does not restore My Folders.
3.Paste option is disabled in PC Suite for some privacy reasons.
4.When i restore the backup taken from E50 by PC suite to 6220c, it does not
restore the my folders and also sometimes the data on my 6220c is lost.
Now Im having the backup + all the messages ie. (.vmg) format files in my pc.
I would be very thankful if any one helps me out in restoring the messages
from my old phone E50 to 6220c. It would be great if all the messages are restored
with all the info. and details. Thanks a ton !
*Also if any one has any applications/softwares of 6220c regarding-
1.Picture SMS
2.Sending Flash SMS
3.Draw Picture SMS & Send
+ Collection of monochromes (72X28 pixel images)
+ Picture SMS viewer

i have transferred all my text messages from E50 to 6220c.
first i created a backup of E50 then restored using latest PC Suite.
Now while restoring the message appears auto matically that due to model
differences of the 2 Phones, the restoration might have some errors but the
new data will be copied without erasing/overwriting the previous one.
So i proceed. After that i noticed only my messages in inbox were transferred.
So i shifted all my messages from my folder and put 'em in Inbox.
Then created Back up and restred.

Samsung s5230 phone, Bluetooth, HP Color LaserJet CM2320 MFP

I'm new here so please forgive my mistakes.
I have a Samsung s 5230 phone and a HP Color LaserJet CM2320 MFP. The phone has the option to print pictures, sms and e mails via a printer that has bluetooth. I don't want to buy a printer, so I thought, could it work if I emulate a Printer on my computer and send the things i want to print out from my phone to my computer and print it out over the hp pc suite and the network? i dont know a emulator for computer is this possible or has hp something like that? please help me.
I hope you understand what I mean.

get sms -> s5230 system print out-> computer gets the data over bluetooth and a printer emulator -> HP pc suite prints it out hope you can help me... =)

Is there a widget for this?

I am hoping that some one knows of a widget or another piece of software that allows one to send Picture SMS's I have seen all the widgets that send regular txt sms but none that do it for pics.
I don't really care what sort of software it is widget or otherwise or even if it is a webbased service. I just need to send pictures to people this way.

Best app or program for backing up everything on iPhone

I have just put iOS4 on my 3G and yes I lost all my contacts my calendar reminders,my notes,my book marks and some pics.Does anyone know what the best app or program is for backing up everything from my iPhone

I've heard of Touch copy which can do all is there a better one about?

I use PhoneView which is Mac-only, but TouchCopy is frequently recommended here and I've not seen bad comments about it.
As Justin said, regular syncing is the best backup. To protect myself beyond that:
I always manually move my backup file so that iTunes does not overwrite it with a new one, allowing me to roll back.
Before major syncing activities (such as setting up a new phone) I generally export an archive from my calendar and address book apps, or duplicate the database, so that if it all goes wrong I can roll back to those--I would expect Outlook has a similar feature.

I have been a very loyal customer since 1996 (then Airtouch), even staying after all my friends (mobile to mobile gone) left for Sprint when the iPhone came out. I have had nothing but issues the past year due to the fact that my plan is old... So much for taking care of your loyal customers!!! I have, okay now HAD, a plan with unlimited text messaging; however it did not include pictures because my plan predates such a thing. So after many, many bills where I was charged $.25 per picture message, I inquired about adding on picture messaging. The MULTIPLE Verizon employees I talked to called this an ADD-ON (implying I was adding something on NOT taking what I had away). I even explicitly asked over and over, I am not changing my current plan, right??? I am just adding pictures, which I can take off anytime I'd like, right??? "YES" I was told. "You are not changing your plan, simply adding on picture messaging and SMS."
Flash forward to getting my new bill, TWICE the cost of my normal bill and of course I freak out. I call Verizon and am told I may not be able to go back to the plan that I have had for years and years. EVEN THOUGH I ASKED, EVEN THOUGH I HAVE BEEN A LOYAL CUSTOMER, EVEN THOUGH I TRIPLE CHECKED THAT NOTHING WOULD CHANGE FROM MY PLAN. Now I have had to submit an 'inquiry' regarding whether or not I can get my rightfully deserved text messaging (which should have never been taken away) returned to me.
Even better question, if I have unlimited text messaging, but it doesn't include pictures/SMS - causing me to have to purchase an "add-on" which can only be done by an inclusive package that is text/pictures/SMS (thereby taking away my original texting plan), then shouldn't it have been included in my plan all along??? How is it separate in one case but only given as a package in another case? Is it together/same or separate/different??? Verizon, if this isn't resolved, I am leaving. I cannot take the lack of customer care, rude phone employees, and the fact that they have zero ability to resolve anything. FIX THIS!!!!

I totally agree with you. I had the same exact problem, I lost my old plan. I had totally got jipped! I have been a loyal customer for 12 years. My added on line two years ago just got turned off being shy of 2 months for the contract of 2 yrs. They charge me $75. Well I'm not going to pay it. And that is that! I'd say 'leave them', they don't care about us and never will.

HT1212 Restore device disabled

If I restore the device following the procedure http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1212 while I have never synced my device with iTunes will I be able to recover my personal data (pictures, SMS, contact, etc...).

If you never made a backup, either to icloud or itunes, then you'll not be able to recover personal data except data currently stored in icloud as part of the Apple databases (contacts, calendars, etc. - whatever you see when logging into icloud.com using a computer's browser).

Downgrade to 3.0

What would the reason be that you would need to "downgrade" for. If you're having trouble it isn't the 3.1.2 version. I have it on my iPhone 3G, and my wife's 3Gs, and a few dozen clients - no issues.
Whatever problem you have, was there already, and the new version just brought it to the surface. I would suspect a bad app, bad files saved on the phone, pictures, SMS, MMS, messages, etc. You could also have a hardware issue, and should take it to an Apple Store, or make arrangements to send it to them, if one is too far away.
There is nothing wrong with the software, otherwise millions, and millions of people would be having issues, and only a relative few are, and in most cases that is self inflicted.
Folks should clear out all the caches, and turn the phone off, completely off, and then back on before they do a major update. That will clear out problems before they can start.
