Picture to clear fonts?

I have a jpeg/png with text. After OCR in Acrobat 9 Pro the
fonts are pixly. How can I get clear fonts?
Do you have an idea?

The Mac software - iPhoto, iMovie, and iDVD are not the best with the Ken Burns effect (zoom in/out effect), so you might want to minimize that effect; also, if your subjects are wearing stripes for instance, that will have an effect if you zoom. There is better software available for slideshows; however, I do not know of any that is free (and does a good job). I've used Photo to Movie for some time; it does a fine job even in HD, but you have to pay for it. I use iDVD extensively, but only to add a menu, theme, special effects, etc. and then to burn it.

Better and clearer fonts

Hi guys,
Is there a way to change default fonts on Firefox for better and clearer ones?
Although I don't like it much, I use IE 9 for some websites which don't support Firefox. After visiting a couple of websites I realized IE has clearer fonts than Firefox.
I read a lot on the internet and I found much better doing it with IE 9 fonts than with Firefox.
I'm using Firefox 20 and IE 9 on Windows 7 Pro 32bits.
I attach an image to be clearer on what I say. I hope you understand.
PS: I've already tried disabling "hardware acceleration" but still no joy.

You can use an extension to set a default font size and page zoom on web pages.

How to clear font and or fill/stoke attributes from new boxes in InDesign3

InDesign CS3 --How can I clear out the font style that automatically appears in any new text box I make? It's not the Basic Paragraph Style set up for the document but seems to be something I used in a design months ago. It does the same thing with an old fill color and stroke when I make a new picture box.
I've looked in the Prefs for some way to clear this and I tried deleting the unwanted font from the document and resaving it but it the same font automatically fills the next new box after I reopen it.

Crisp / Clear Font Rendering?

Is there any suggestion on Arch Linux running Gnome 2.6.30 to improve the crisp / clearness of my fonts? I installed the latest available nVidia drivers & under 'Appearance' > 'Fonts' > 'Details', I show the following:
* Resolution: 98 dots per square inch.
* Smoothing: Subpixel (LCD)
* Hinting: Slight
* Subpixel Order: RGB
It just never seems as clear and crisp when I compare side by side to Ubuntu or Windows 7. The font clarity is notable difference beween Arch and I would like to change this. Any help and or tips would be greatly appreciated!

Windows clear fonts on iMac?

Hello all,
I've been searching for the past 2 days about how to make Mac fonts more like Windows fonts, in Windows, fonts are super clear and easy on the eyes, in Mac, i cant not use the **** thing for more than 10 minutes and my eyes are full of tears!
Now before you jump the ship and try to answer my question! i tried evey possible solution on the internet to make fonts more like in Windows but no help. my resolutions is set correctly, tried to turn on or off "Use LCD font smoothing when available" but that didnt help, tried tinkertools but that also didnt help much!
so my main question, is there a way to make Mac fonts look as sharp as in windows? PLEASE DO NOT REFER ME TO SITES ONLY EXPLAINING HOW MACS AND WINDOWS RENDER FONTS, those dont answer my question! i am only looking for ways to make it look more like windows.
Also, please dont tell me Macs render fonts so they look more like in prints bla bla....! i dont care about that when my eyes hurt for looking at the screen for less than 10 minutes!
i know my screen is not faulty, i know i dont have any incorrect settings! they just look horrible! and if i cant get them to look like in windows, they unfortunately i will have to get rid of this iMac and use PC instead!
PS. if you think Mac fonts look more clear than windows, then my friend, you better get your eyes checked!

You don't mention if you are trying to use 64-bit edition.
W7 (and Vista SP1) DVDs use an EFI bootloader, and only a few Macs support EFI64.

Printer EPSON FX 890 not clear font

Hi,
we are working in Oracle applications 11i.
We have a customized PDF report developed with Oracle reports builder and its font is Times New Roman. The report was printed out in an HP series printers and it has no problems.
The user has a new requirement to use the printer: EPSON FX 890. Now, the report when printed out has unclear fuzzy and blurred lines.
what is the problem and how can we solve it?

My two cents.
You can run the report and generate the pdf output; copy the output pdf to a different location in middle tier. Login to the middle tier and try to print the pdf from command line in the target printer. Once you find the right command line arguments that works, you can set the printer driver to reflect the same.

Scanned picture not clear in iPhoto but clear on desktop

Hi,
This is going to be lengthy as I would like to give as much information to the person/s who will please help.
I have iphoto2 and iphoto 4 on different machines. Both work- for the most part just fine. I also have Kodak Easyshare software on my computer. We have to Kodak Easyshare cameras that work just fine. One computer in our house is an old eMachine with Windows ME. The photo program we have on it is a free download- Picasa.
Anyway, I have a Canon scanner- CanoScan 8400F. I have used it and as far as I know and understand it works just fine. I have scanned slides, Poloroid pictures, and other things and they have worked fine. I have also brought these pictures into iPhoto 2 and 4, Kodak Easyshare (on the Mac), and Picasa(on the Windows machine.)
The last thing I did had issues. I scanned a picture of my father that was recently acquired. It was black and white picture taken many years ago. I think what I have is a photo copy of the original. The photocopy still looks ok. I scanned the photocopy into my G4 Mac with Panther. On the desktop when I click on it, (I saved it as 100%jpeg), it opens by itself, at first it is not sharp, but after a few seconds something happens and the photo becomes sharp. It looks really nice.
I imported the picture into iPhoto and it shoes up with thin scan lines across it and they don't go away. The same thing happened when I imported it into Kodak Easyshare. The thin horizontal scan lines are on it- pretty much top to bottom as I recall. The picture works,but I have never experienced this. As I mentioned earlier, with the jpeg on my desktop, if I open it in Viewer? after a second or two it is displayed in top form. Now, I scanned this picture to send to two of my brothers. I was not happy with the picture, so I top the picture (jpeg), installed it on my old emachine, imported it into Picasa, and Bingo- it shows up just fine. I emailed the picture from Picasa. Why was it looking right in Picasa and not with iPhoto 2 or 4, nor with the Mac version of Kodak software?

Update-
I rescanned the photo and brought it into iPhoto 4 again and it is fine. I brought it into the Kodak software and it is not. I save the file on a pocket drive and loaded it onto my G3 computer with iPhoto 2 again. It is not fine. So it is working only with iPhoto 4- and also on the viewer on the desktop as before.

JVM ERROR 545 NEED A PICTURE BEFORE CLEARING

Is there anyway to get a picture from the 8220 flip when it gives this error? It's important I had to borrow a cable from a friend to see if computer would recognize it, but I can't do anything without "forcing the detection" to apply the upgraded application to the phone.

If the picture is stored in your phone, then sorry, nothing much you can do with except reloading handheld software. refer to http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/KB12077
however, if it is store in your storage card, simply take that out and use a card reader to retrieve those pictures or files stored in there.

Hi again. You guys helped me out so well with my last question that i know you'll be able to help me out with this one!
How can I make my fonts look as clear as possible?
I'm running at 1400x1050 resolution with xorg and xfce4.
I've ensured that anti-aliasing is turned on and have enabled sub-pixel hinting but I find that my fonts appear "fuzzy".
Excuse me for mentioning the 'W' work here but my Windows XP installation with ClearType enabled gives me lovely clear fonts and I was hoping to get the same in Linux.
When I installed xorg (or was that xfce4? I forget) a message was displayed on screen referring to uncommenting a line in a config file somewhere for anti-aliasing or hinting, but I foolishly didn't note it down so I don't know what it was or where to find it! Or even if this would help me.
How have you managed to make your fonts nice and clear?

thats is in /etc/fonts/local.conf, autohinter to false. Subpixel is in there as well.
You may also want to double check your xorg.conf is correct.

Clear flash picture in IE6,Need Help

I created a Flash website. When I see this website by IE6,
pictures are not blurred. But when I use Firefox and Flash
Professional to see the website, pictures are clear.

I don't know the answer to that one but you can use the Mouse Over and Click method I have described on this page....

It works in IE.
Its just a question of making up two different buttons with text for each link, taking a screenshot and cropping them and adding the JPEGs to your upload folder.
You can make up the buttons on an iWeb page and then delete them when you have taken the screenshots. I usually do this sort of thing in Keynote so that I can save them in case I need to modify them.
