Picture with Jaggies

How do you smoothe a picture that has the 'jaggies.'  This happens when you enlarge a small picture.  Is anti-aliasing the answer?

Anti-aliasing can usually help with text but for image enlargement the interpolation is what matters. Try with these settings by clicking:
Image >> Resize >> Image Size
Type into the boxes your required measurements and check the boxes for resample image and constrain proportions. Uncheck styles.
From the dropdown menu choose bicubic smoother (for enlargements)
Then click OK
