Pictures are no longer loading in Safari, any clues?
Recently I'm finding that many pages on Safari are not loading properly and/or pictures do not load.
Perhaps I need to update something, but I am not sure what or how.
Does anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks!

I have iphoto 6 and my pictures are no longer showing. I have tried importing them but it just give me an error msg. (file format not recognized) I have tried rebuilding the iphoto library but that doesn't work either. Any suggestions?
How did you rebuild?
Try these in order - from best option on down...
1. Do you have an up-to-date back up? If so, try copy the library6.iphoto file from the back up to the iPhoto Library allowing it to overwrite the damaged file.
2. Download <a href="http://www.fatcatsoftware.com/iplm/"><b><u>iPhoto Library Manager</b></u></a> and use its rebuild function. This will create a new library based on data in the albumdata.xml file. Not everything will be brought over - no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your albums and keywords back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.
3. If neither of these work then you'll need to create and populate a new library.
To create and populate a new *iPhoto 6* library:
Note this will give you a working library with the same Rolls and pictures as before, however, you will lose your albums, keywords, modified versions, books, calendars etc.
Move the iPhoto Library to the desktop
Launch iPhoto. It will ask if you wish to create a new Library. Say Yes.
Go into the iPhoto Library on your desktop and find the Originals folder. From the Originals folder drag the individual Roll Folders to the iPhoto Window and it will recreate them in the new library.
When you're sure all is well you can delete the iPhoto Library on your desktop.
In the future, in addition to your usual back up routine, you might like to make a copy of the library6.iPhoto file whenever you have made changes to the library as protection against database corruption. -

i upgraded to lion when it first came out but today i tried to open my photoshop cs2 and its telling me the powerpc applications are no longer supported is there any fix out there for this
Lion is Not compatible with PPC (Power PC) based software, such as your older version of PhotoShop. Your choices are you can either upgrade to the newer version of PhotoShop, or you can backup your data and apps, erase your harddrive and reinstall Snow Leopard.
Hope this helps -
Pictures are no longer in proper file folders
My photos were all separated into separate file folders, now after several months the pictures are mixed up under different file folders? Is there any way to fix this, or do I have to delete all and re-load??
1. My startup disk is completely full and I've deleted everything I think I can. Is the only way to fix it by buying an external hard drive?
No. A much better idea — in two parts — is to install a larger internal hard drive, then mount your present drive in an external FireWire enclosure and use it to back up your data (but not your operating system).
You need to do something immediately, though, because if your internal drive is full, your iBook isn't going to keep working properly. Even if you bought a large external drive and started using it now, you'd have to free up several gigabytes of space on your internal drive to have any reasonable expectation that the computer will run stably and reliably. And if you did that by moving files to the external drive and then deleting them from the internal, you still wouldn't have those files backed up anywhere. -
Do I have a Safari problem? Since downloading 10.9.2 Safari no longer loads YouTube videos on my iMac. Firefox downloads the same videos from YouTube with ease.
Safari > Preferences > Security > Internet Plug-ins
Checkmark the box beside "Allow Plug-ins".

Ym computer died and although most things came back when I logged into my account, some audiobooks I have purchased are now missing. Even itunes tells me I have previously purchased them, but I still can't figure a way to download them. Any clues?
Thank you in advanceYou cannot redownload audiobooks.
It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer.. Copy them from your backup copy of your comptuer. -
HT4061 My iPad screen is frozen when trying to open Safari, any clues?
iPad screen is frozen. Any clues?
If it's just Safari that's frozen then try clearing ites cache : Settings > Safari > Clear Cookies And Data and also Clear History
If that doesn't work then try closing Safari completely and then re-open it : from the home screen (i.e. not with Safari 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the Safari app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
A third option is a reset (or if the whole iPad is frozen) : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider if it appears), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot. -
i go to post on facebook and the piccture i have imprted to photos and i see in photos is not inmy photos to add to post in facebook
if i restart my computer then they are there any suggestions appreciated thank you for your timeI would try quitting your browser and closing down Facebook rather than restarting the whole system.
My guess would be that, if you have been using Facebook and have already accessed the Photos library, then a snapshot of the library directory (and therefore, pictures) has been taken by Facebook. That may not be updated if you then switch to Photos and import something new, or make changes there, and then switch back to Facebook.
Restarting Safari, or whatever browser you use, and then re-visiting Facebook may, when you try to add the new picture, refresh the directory and make the change(s) visible.
This would be my guess, and suggestion. -
RSS Feeds on Yahoo Front Page/My Yahoo are no longer loading. Please help!
After "fixing" my installation of Firefox I am unable to load any RSS feeds onto My Yahoo Front Page! They are all gone. Please help me to recover these important feeds. They are my only source of News every day.
It is part and parcel of the Yahoo Front page where one can choose what media, if any, one wishes to view. No, they are not add-ons gathered from you or anywhere else. I'm surprised Mozilla does not know that, actually! I do not believe Yahoo allows RSS feeds outside of their own to be included on that Front Page/Home Page.

Emedded PDF files are still not loading in Safari.
With the latest update of Safari for the PC, when I tried to open up an Embedded PDF file Safari would crash. I found somewhere that this was an known issue with Apple and Safri handling Embedded PDF files. However, after months, I still see no fix. I uninstalled the latest update of Safari completly. I rebooted my system and then I had an older version from 2012 of Safari where this issue wasn't happening. Well, now Safari doesn't crash and the Embedded PDF file shows up for a few seconds and then disapears. Safari tries to re-load the page but with no success. So I have to just go to another URL. Most all of the help is for a Mac or iMac in plug-ins support for this. However, I do not see where Adobe Acrobat is even there in some library (wherever that might be on a PC) to delete any lines. I have also read that people who have tried that didn't help them on their Mac. Has anyone had any success in a fix for this issue? Is Apple really looking to fix this bug? I loved Safari once I got used to it and now I am stuck with Chrome as my base browser because at least it works. Not a wonderful browser like Safari USED to be.
Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.Delete Safari .plist file.
Quit all applications.
Hold the option key down and click the "Go" menu in the Finder menu bar.
Select "Library" from the drop down.
Library > Preferences > com.apple.Safari.plist
Right click on it and select "Move To Trash".
Restart. Relaunch Safari. Test -

Comment areas no longer load on websites. Just long pages of white boxes.
Windows 7, Cleared cache. Cleared cookies. Reset Mozilla in Help. Still present.
Can you mention a couple of the affected sites? They might use the same service (e.g., DISQUS). Sometimes other Firefox users have reported issues with a particular service that can help get to resolution more quickly.
There are a number of add-ons that can filter externally loaded content, either for your security or to reduce annoyance. A standard diagnostic to bypass interference by extensions (and some custom settings) is to try Firefox's Safe Mode. More information: [[Troubleshoot Firefox issues using Safe Mode]].
You can restart Firefox in Safe Mode using:
Help > Restart with Add-ons Disabled
In the dialog, click "Start in Safe Mode."
If the comments load correctly, this points to one of your extensions or custom settings as the problem.
Any change? -
I have uninstalled and reinstalled the plug ins as well as gone to the trouble shooting area for these plugins. I have tried installing firefox again. I also tried using beta 4 and I had the same issue. Also it is taking forever to load pages.
Did you make sure that your firewall or other security software isn't blocking the plugin-container process?

My pictures are no longer downloading to my computer. I don't know why
I had been using photostream to push my photos from my Iphone 4s to my PC, to a folder on my desktop. Then I would put those photos in other folders according to year/month/event/etc under my pictures.
I think I may have moved a folder but cannot figure out where.
I tried to sync to Itunes and it doesn't seem to be working so I backed up to Icloud, i think.
HELP!!Your camera roll photos - the pictures that you take with the iPad camera or saved from websites are stored in the iPad backup. You will not see them anywhere on your computer unless you import them to the PC from the iPad.
You cannot see what is stored in the iPad backup on your PC. It doesn't work that way. This explains iTunes backups - what is backed up and where the backup file is stored on the computer. It may be a little different in Windows 8. now.
