  • Why are all my pictures being saved to the Camera Roll album?

    Hi
Every image saved to my iPhone 5s (iOS 8.1) is saved to the Camera Roll album and not to any other folders i.e. Snapchat images are not saved to a Snapchat folder, Instagram pictures not saved to an Instagram folder, Twitter pictures nto saved to a Twitter folder.
Also, in a possibly unrelated query, I moved a large chunk of images from my Camera Roll to a separate folder (called "London" for my visit of the city) but they also still remain in the Camera Roll album.
    Can anyone help me out?
    Thanks

I've just received my iPhone 6 & upgraded to ios8.1.
After I set up my new phone & restore my icloud backup from my old iPhone 4, I found that the photo album cannot be used, photo taken by the camera cannot be saved (anyway the thumbnail of the photo just taken was showed on the bottom left corner).
When I go into my photo album, there are no photo at all.
Same with videos. Instagram works fine, facebook crashes when I try to take photos. Camera + works with the app photo stream, but gives error message when I try to save camera+ stream to camera roll
I tried to reset & delete everything for 5-6 times, the problem still there.
Anyone can help on this problem please?

  • Column value not being saved to the database

I have an app I am developing in HTML DB. I added a column to my database table so I then went and added an item to my form and made the source the database and gave it the column name. However, when I populate this item it will not save the value to the database. It is saving all the other items. We have hit this issue in the past, and if we delete the item and add it again it will work but that is not the case for me this time.
I have compared this 6 way to Sunday to ensure I have it setup like all others. I have no typo in the column name cause I cut and paste from a describe after a few failed attempts at getting this to work.
I am able to get the report screen of this app to display the column.
Anyone come across this and have a workaround? Note, there are no errors, it just won't save the value for some reason.

anonymous - What is the column datatype? I suggest you install the application into your workspace on htmldb.oracle.com (and create the table in your application schema). Let us know the workspace name and application ID so we can take a look. Also, always give the version of the product you are using.
And we'd like to see your first name.

  • Why are my pictures being saved at 3.1mp to my camera roll?

I just baught iphoto for my new ipad and everything works great on it.....except for when i try to save my edited pictures to my camera roll.....the resolution for most of my pictures are 7.1 and 12 mp...and when they go through iphoto and save them back to my camera roll they go down to 3.1mp .....is there a way to save them at there native resolution instead of droping them down several MP....they are useless to me like that .......i wonder why snapseed lets me save them at there native resolution but iPhoto doesnt.....this app is useless to me if i cant save them at the resolution that they were taken....ughhhh.....

I think iPhoto for iOS is designed to optimize photos for use on sharing sites like Facebook and photobucket. Supposedly sharing the photos to iTunes will allow you to copy them over to your computer at full size. She then to iTunes after editing them and before doing anything else with them.
The iPad optimizes photos when they are imported via the sync process. This downsizes them before they even get to iPhoto for you to edit them. Importing the photos directly from the camera using a Camera Connection Kit keeps them at their original size. iPhoto will work on photos up to 20 mp.

  • Why are my pictures being saved so large?!?!

I'm really hoping someone on here can help!  I've never had this problem before until the recently.  I open up a picture that I've taken, which is 3 MB, and do just a bit of editing.  I'll crop, adjust the curves, and that's it.  When I go to save it, it saves as a 12-14 MB picture.  Anyone know why this would be happening?
Thanks in advance for your help!
    Alison

When you are using the crop tool, are you resampling (i.e., are there any numbers in the fields at the top of the Photoshop window)?  If so, you could be causing the images to be upsampled to a higher pixel count.
I'd also like to mention that JPEG compression isn't simple; it's not just "pick a number and that defines the size".  In short, the JPEG quality level provided by the camera doesn't correspond to any particular Photoshop setting.  Level 12 in Photoshop will definitely save very large files.  Usually level 10 or 11 is good enough for delivered images, but if you're concerned with quality loss (e.g., for subsequent editing) you may have to face the fact that you'll need to save them as large files.  Personally, unless these output JPEGs are your final product, I'd probably save them as .psd files, which incurs no loss but does provide some compression.
Lastly, terabyte disks are ridiculously cheap.  In all seriousness you should not be balancing quality of your results against storage size.  A top-of-the-line 2 TB Western Digital RE4 hard drive is $230 last I looked.  A 1 TB RE3 drive is only a little over a hundred bucks!  I'm quoting high reliability drive prices because I would not advise buying anything less.  Your data is too valuable to worry over a few tens of dollars.
What is the pixel count of your input files and output files?

  • Database/Password Information not being saved in CMC

Product:  CR Server XI R2.  Server is Windows Server 2003 operating system
An issue just popped up today where the database info for a report in the CMC is not being saved.   I'm in the Process tab (database link) of the Report properties of the CMC and trying to enter Custom Database login information.
The Driver is Oracle and the Server and Username fields are set correctly.  However, when setting the Password field, regardlesws of what length of a password I use, it defaults to 7 characters when showing on the screen and none of the reports run.  Even when I set the password to blank and set the password on the InfoView, the reportsw still error out.
The error message when running the report is always
Error Message:  The database logon information for this report is either incomplete or incorrect.
We've been running these reports for weeks without any issue until today.  Are there any known issues with any recent MS patches or anything that could be causing this?  The only thing I noticed was a MS Patch (KB960714) that was installed on Friday night.  Uninstalled and rebooted and still no resolution.

    Hi Eric,
I'm experiencing a similar problem.  Did you ever get this problem solved?

  • With ios6 where do my pictures go when I click "Save Photo" from Facebook? I can't find where they are being saved.

I just downloaded IOS6 and now I can't seem to save pictures from Facebook to my iPhone. I click on the picture as I always have and click "save photo", however I can't find where these pictures are being saved. They are not showing up in my photos folder as they once did. Please help!

I was having the same issue and just figured it out.  There's a setting you have to turn on to allow Facebook to access your photos.  One it's turned on it starts working.  Here is the location:
Settings > Privacy > Photos > turn facebook to ON

    Sorry,

No photos will import at all.  I use USB to import from iPhone 5s or iPad 2.
About the difference?  iPhoto and Photos .  Are there two softwares?
I also will like to merge and/or synchronize all my photos I had saved to iCloud backups, Macbook Pro,  iPhone 5s and iPad hard drives using iPhoto.  It's call iPhoto library.  At one point I turned off streaming.

  • Saving Forms in Database

    Hi All,
We are being unable to save a form into the database.
This form is all along been saved in the database and it is one
of the common forms which we use throughout our applications and it basically contains common blocks , procedures which are used or referenced by all file system forms across the application.
The problem has started recently after we did some changes in it and then again try to store it back into the database. Basically we store another form (900KB) in DB along with this one (2200KB),
I have tested, with the other form already in the database we
are not being able to save a form of this big size in the
database, whereas it allows us to save the form only if its size
is less than 1600KB. That means it is a form size related issue.
If anybody has faced similar problem and know if there is any
change or tuning required in any of the database schema objects
then please help me. Its a mission critical problem for our
    organisation.
ORACLE PEOPLE PLEASE HELP US !
We are using forms 4.5 with Oracle 8.0.6 on MS WindowsNT 4.0.
    Thanks in advance.

Yes Grant, we get error message :
The Windows Error (F50des32.exe - Application error) :The
instruction at "0x5d9e9280" referenced memory at "0x0001567a".
The memory could not be "read".
Basically we have two forms in the database, say form1 and form2. Form2 itself is referencing objects in form1, and both these forms are referenced by other filesystem forms. We are unable to save the form2 but not the form1.
Each time we try to save the Form2 in the database we are facing the problem. Form1.fmb is of the size 828KB, whereas Form2.fmb is 2200KB. Is the problem related to the size of the form ? I believe these forms are stored in the SYSTEM tablespace, I checked the system tablespace, its used 117MB and is 22MB free, initial extent is 122880 and next is 122880 with max
    extent 300.
This problem is having in all our test databases and is not
really related to any particular machine (statistics given is of
one of our test database). This problem may have occured before
but I am not sure as we are in need to change in the database
forms first time after I have taken over responsibility. Please
look into the problem with high priority as we are in need to
    update live applications ASAP.

  • Missing faces not being saved

When I updated to the newest version of iPhoto (9.3.2) on Mountain Lion, I am unable to save missing faces. I will select the add a face button and type in the person's name. When I go back to the photo none of the face data is being saved? Can anyone help me on this? Thanks!!

    Option 1
Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Repair Database. If that doesn't help, then try again, this time using Rebuild Database.
    If that fails:
    Option 2
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. This will create a new library based on data in the albumdata.xml file. Not everything will be brought over - no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your albums and keywords back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.
    Regards
    TD

  • Photos are not being saved

My Blackberry Curve 8530 has stopped saving pictures even though the display appears to indicate the pics are being saved. There is also plenty of memory left. I have no idea why this is happening.
On another point, browsing through the various community forums, it appears that, for the most part, blackberry phones are 1) either too complicated for most of us to operate; or, 2) that the phones don't really work all that well. No wonder the company charges for service.
Why do we let give money to Blackberry and our carriers when it appears the main way that they make money is by screing us?

    Hello,
    traildog wrote:
If you buy a device and it does not work properly, then the customer should have real and free access to the company in order to fix it--especially under warranty. Apparently, we are expected to not have these expectations.
You do...but not direct from RIM. By contract, all formal support is provided by the carriers and authorized resellers, including warranty support. RIM provides zero free front line support. The carriers have received enhanced training on BB's and also have the ability to escalate, at no cost to you, your case into RIM. That is the way it works.
    traildog wrote:
I have 64.6 MB of free memory space. I'm not sure which line refers to the operating system in options-about.
There are three types of potential memory on a BB: 1) Application Memory, 2) Device Memory, and 3) Media/SD Card Memory
Application Memory -- This is the most crucial; it is the protected (not user accessible), dedicated, and fixed (in size) space that is available as the destination for the installation of applications (plus some application storage, overhead and such). You cannot touch AppMemory. You cannot improve the maximum AppMemory that your BB has. It is what it is. Applications can only install here...there is no option.
Device Memory -- This is space on your BB that you can touch to store files, pictures, media, etc. Typically, it is not terribly large, but it is available to you.
SD/Media Card Memory -- This is what it says...your SD card, for you to store files, media, pictures, etc. It can be as large as your BB OS can support...see this KB:
    http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/KB05461
On some devices/OS levels, you can only see "File Free" (Options > Status), which I think is equivalent to AppMemory. On other devices, you can see all three memory usage levels (Options > Memory). Here are some guidelines to use:
    http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/KB15345
    http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/KB14320
    http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/KB14213
Lastly, it is always important to properly close applications when you are done with them. Using the Back or the Red key will not do this -- those leave it to the app to decide what to do...and some will leave themselves resident in memory, consuming resources on your BB, slowing the overall performance. Rather, to close an app, press and select "Close" or "Exit"...that will force the application to be closed, freeing up for your new use the resources it was consuming. Some apps will always remain running (typically -- BBMessenger, Browser, Homescreen, Phone, and Messages)...but, you should still close them properly - especially the Browser...if it is left on an active web page, it will not only consume extra resources but battery power as well.
Further, anytime random strange behavior or sluggishness creeps in, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the back cover and pull out the battery. Wait about a minute then replace the battery and cover. Power up and wait patiently through the long reboot -- ~5 minutes. See if things have returned to good operation. Like all computing devices, BB's suffer from memory leaks and such...with a hard reboot being the best cure. Some have taken to doing this on a regular basis as a preventive measure...some as frequently as once per day. Others have obtained the QuickPull app to automate a simulated Batt-Pull.
    Best and Good luck!

  • Changes not being saved in Address Book

    Hi,
I've been editing one of the entries in my Address Book (deleting the surname input), but every time I do this and go out of Address Book the surname comes back. Not a massive problem, but it's very annoying especially as it all links in to Mail etc.
If anyone knows why this is and how it can be fixed it would be much appreciated.
    Thanks in advance.

I just encountered the same thing while setting up a couple new Macs with 10.6.8, it's very frustrating, but I found the solution, at least in my case. Maybe this is the same problem you are encountering:
I imported a whole bunch of contacts from another Mac to the first one (using a batch vCard). Anyway, I noticed a few of them were out of date so I edited them. Then I saved them (using both the export vCard group and the Address Book archive), then I took that file to the second Mac I was setting up, and imported them. but I noticed that most (but not all) of the changes I'd just made (prior to exporting) were not saved. This was quite a puzzler, and took a little while to figure out why some changes were being saved and not others.
I believe this problem is due to a interface design flaw in Address Book.
You see, when you press the "Edit" button to unlock a contact record, the "edit" button turns blue (signifying that the record is editable). But what's not clear is that none of the changes are actually committed until you press the exact same "Edit" button again to commit all the changes you've made (on that record and any others edited since the "Edit" button was last clicked).
So, really, what's missing here is a warning dialog. When you select an Export option, and the "edit" button is still blue, a dialog should appear saying that "recent changes are unsaved and will be lost" (or something to that effect). In my opinion, the edit button should probably turn into a "Save Changes" button or something like that.
This is especially confusing, because the uncommitted changes are persistently visible in the Address Book even after switching contacts. In most databases, uncomitted changes are lost as soon as you leave a record without saving, but not in Address Book. It looks like all your changes have been made even though they aren't. And I think it's fair to say that the typical user will assume that when you export the address book contacts, the export will appear identical to how it appeared when they saved it, but if the "Edit" button was blue during the save, that will not be the case, and there is no warning to that effect. So it leads to unexpected behavior in that some recent changes are saved but the most recent are not.
Anyway, I'm sure there'll be other opinions as to the interface design, but it's clear to me this is the problem, and the solution is to always make sure the "edit" button is NOT blue before saving or exporting the address book or contacts.
I also wouldn't have noticed it unless I was trying to set up two computers at once (since the changes were so minor, I might have not ever noticed they weren't saved otherwise). So I wouldn't be surprised if this problem has been around for a long time and I never noticed it before.
    Hope that helps...
