Pictures importing in Muse very bad!

Hi everyone,
when i import a picture in Muse, jpg png etc, the quality is pretty poor and not acceptable for me. Can anyone please help me? I searched for tips, but nobody can help me.

Your images should always be made the correct size and at the right resolution before inserting.
A mistake that some make coming from print is having the images at 300 DPI. This does not make the image any better on a screen and only increases file size which of course Muse tries to optimize for you. If your images are the size you need and 72 DPI before adding them you will have no problem.
If you are still having the problem post a link so that we can see the problem.

AppleWorks 6.2.9 on OSX 10.4.6 imbedded images print VERY badly

Ever since my upgrade from an older version (don't remember which) of AppleWorks on OSX 10.2.x - in that arrangement all was well, now with AW 6.2.9 and OSX 10.4.6 every image I import by any means into an AW document of any type zooms on the screen just fine, very detailed, but prints VERY badly.
"Very badly" can be defined as, any text which is part of the image is blocky and becomes almost unreadable; all elements of the image blur at every edge - basically, look at a picture through an unfocused lens and you'll get the idea.
Any other application prints crystal clear using the same image files that AW messes up. I used to use AW to make my business letterhead, business cards, logos, media labels, etc. Now I'm doing all that by coding directly in PostScript because AW won't print nice copy.
I've been trying to find any settings in AW prefs regarding aliasing, smoothing, dithering, you name it, and nothing I've tried makes any difference.
Any ideas where to go to tell AW to play nice with the printer like it's ancestors used to?
Again, EVERY other application prints perfectly, so the printer, driver, cabling, etc cannot be the issue. Only when (and everytime) AW gets involved does printing get munged.

I'm thinking it would have been nice of Apple to let us know that they were going to change something as wide-ranging as how images are imported into AW documents. As was mentioned by Yvan, the 72dpi limit was apparently introduced with AW6. Thanks for the clarification, also. I suspected that the OS (10.4.6 for me) and drivers were clean; since every other app I have prints perfectly. The very same files used to import into AW(older) and print fine just as they were on the older system.
Peggy, yes, most of the images in question were .tiff and .jpg formats, usually from a scan or a conversion from a .ps or .eps into a .jpg or .tiff.
Not being a graphic or visual guy (audio yes, but not graphics...), I had no idea what most of the plethora of image types offered by the "save as..." dialog were about, and had no time to try them all one by one. PICT format is fairly deep into the list, so it would've taken me a while to explore the possibilities that far.
But thank you Peggy, using Preview to convert to PICT format lets me import the images I need and prints them acceptably. I still think raw Postscript is a bit cleaner yet, but for most of my needs the conversion to PICT is so far solving the problem. And if anyone wonders, yes I really do code stuff by hand directly in Postscript. And Perl, and C, and Prolog, and.... So good of OSX to include my favorite editor, emacs! (Old Unix admins never die - we just spawn child processes...or fork and exec - take your pick!
Hope, interesting that your Intel-based machine had such a problem from the start. Even more interesting that a reload fixed it. Curious what may have been/not been installed in the original factory load.... Glad I'm still on PowerPC architecture - time-tested base of reliability there.
I did look at the tip from Sharon Joiner (linked by Yvan), but compared to Peggy's suggestion, Sharon's tip seems a bit more involved than it needs to be - at least for my needs.

I have a 3gs with 16Gb so its not a cheap phone. I have 10Gb free. I have 6600 photoes. This is very frustrating and undermines my confidence in your products. My ipod is an ipod 4 with 16Gb also. It does the exact same thing to it. The last time, I had to import photoes a few at the time and with it taking 10-15 minutes each time for 6600 photos it is a long frustrating process. But it will import every photo a few at a time. The error message is just that itunes has stopped working. no hint as to why. AND of course, my phone is out of use for the entire time. You guys must not want to believe ur phones are a necessary tool...or maybe you dont want the consumer to believe it is. I have tried to find solutions on your website as well as through other 3rd party communities. Ultimately they were of no use. I stumbled onto my solution by accident since Im a bit of a computer geek...a semi-geek.

basically whenever I try to sync my ipod touch 4G 64GB it crashes iTunes when it begins the pictures. if im lucky ill get 4-5 on there before it stops responding. its not my system or anything im running win7x64 8GB DDR3 ram (Corsair XMS3) AMD FX Eight core processor.

hey... i've just bought 6120 Classic...
it takes pictures good in daylight but very bad in low light (even light behind the camera)... i see alot of green lines (noise) on screen n in the picture
it says on the lable underneath battery 'Nokia 6120 C1'... wht does that mean? should i claim the warranty? n further y 6120 has no update yet where as my brother has 5300 n he has updated it once...

Yes it's very bad in low light, it tries to make it brighter by pixelating the whole image by green and red pixels.
I think you mean Nokia 6120C-1?

Fios Internet connection is very bad! Please help!

I play an online game called Final Fantasy XIV. I use a program called WTFast in order to have a solid gaming experience, one without or very little lag or disconnects.
Recently, within the last 3-4months, I have noticed I get EXTREME lag and DISCONNECTS. I contacted WTFast with a tracert that they analyzed, and here is their response:
"Your internet connection is very bad. There is a "plateau" spike. This will cause WTFast to spike as well, and for such a long "spike" it is not surprising that the connection was dropped.
The previous report showed a very unstable internet connection as well (the one where you got a 30 second freeze).
Present the same reports you sent to us to your ISP (Verizon FIOS) and ask them to try to make their connection better. The report will help them see the quality of the current connection."
Here is the information in the more readable form (except for the last four as I figured you would probably get the idea by then). Yes, 4 shows 100% packet loss, so the connection dropped then. Also, in 5 the standard deviation is high (16.35 ms) which indicates a huge fluctuation in the signal. The flux column also shows large numbers, which indicates a large variance in the signal speed. Finally, there are a lot of hops just within the ISP, ie rows 2-8, and all this data is for the ISP itself, not the WTFast connection. In fact, that connection is the last one, and there you can see good numbers. Hope this helps.

I did a tracert from my computer to sites like MSN.com; Verizon.com etc, and EVERY SINGLE 4 shows a 100% loss. I did the same tracert from my computer at work that uses a different IP provider, and those same sites show a response from 4.
Can anyone help me out with this please! Thank you for reading!

Make sure that you allow pages to choose their colors and that you haven't enabled High Contrast in the Accessibility settings.

Import ABAP running very slow

guys, I am installing IDES EHP4 on a solaris box with oracle 10g. The import is running very slow. in 20 hours, it has only imported 10 out of 105 jobs. Top comand shows i have 26 GB free physical memory (out of 48GB total) and also 123 GB free swap out of 150 GB total. CPU load is also only 3 %. I have already configured the project file acording to sap recommedation. MY oracle init file configuration looks like this. Also, you will see my project and user_attr files below. Reinstalling Lion/Mountain Lion Without Erasing the Drive
Boot to the Recovery HD: Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions: Upon startup select Disk Utility from the main menu. Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions as follows.
When the recovery menu appears select Disk Utility. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list. In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive. If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. What version of iTunes do you have installed? If you are trying to update to iOS 6 you need iTunes 10.7 or later.
