Pictures in albums?

Is there a way to put the pictures in a specific order in the albums? I have my pictures in a new album but would like them in a specific order.

I am using iPhoto 2009. If I empty the trash bin, will it delete those pictures from albums I have created? I noticed some of the pictures appear to be the same in both the trash and album.

I have a lot of photos in my trash bin and was thinking about emptying the trash. However, I got a message that said that if emptied, I would not be able to recover them. I chickened out. I looked at several pictures in the trash and noticed that they were the same pictures in albums that I had created. I compared the numbers shown on those pictures in the trash and found that they were the same as the numbers shown in on the pictures in the albums that I had created. I would like to delete the pictures to create more space, but I don't want to lose pictures that I can't replace.

yes - albums are not copies or places - they are pointers in the databae pointing to the photo in the library - you can see it in an album, under photos or under events - but it is all the same photo - if you delete it it is gone everyplace - and no additiponal space is used for an album (or many albums - a photo can be in many albums without using any additional space
Only put photos that you do not want to keep in the trash
How much free space do you have on the disk volume that the iPhoto library is on?

I need these photos, to complete the video, not to mention I don't want to lose them. I have had trouble ever since upgrading to Maverick.

Try the following:
1 - launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys held down to open the First Aid window.
2 - Run Option #4, Rebuild Database.

In the Grid view, *View > Grid View > Show Header* should expose the header. In the List view it's contolled by the size of the artwork column.

A photo in the Camera Roll cannot be in an album unless the photo remains in the Camera Roll. Photos in an album or not duplicated. A photo in an album includes a pointer to the original photo stored in the Camera Roll. The Camera Roll is for temporary storage. Photos/videos can and should be imported by your computer as with any other digital camera.
The Camera Roll is included with your iPhone's backup. If your iPhone's backup has been updated to include all photos that were in the Camera Roll and has not been updated since the photos were deleted, you can try restoring your iPhone from your iPhone's backup. Do not update your iPhone's backup before doing so and decline the prompt to update your iPhone's backup as the first step after selecting Restore.

To rearrange photos in an album:
Open the album.
Touch "Select"
Touch and hold on a photo and drag it to the desired location.

Some of my albums are ok but some the old pictures are first , I tried to go highlight all pictures in album go to view/sort all projects view
but the option by ascending order is not available .what should I do?

In browser mode (view-browser or hit the V key until it shows) there is a drop down menu at the top left of the browser pane. Hit image date then use the arrow to the right of the drop down to choose your preference

What app will organize pictures and albums on the ipad according to date and alphabetize?

We have thousands of pictures and albums on our Ipad and need an app with a "go to" feature we can enter the name or date the photo was taken. We would like to date and name the pictures in the future with the app feature. Any suggestions?

You can actully create your own folders on the Ipad in your photo area. There should be a little plus at the top and you can drag each photo and video in one by one. THere is also Photo Sort for the Ipad (App) Hope this helps. Please check out my website: www.applesupports.webs.com

Welcome to the community,
You could try connecting your handset to a PC and then transfer the files on to it, from here you can clear the cache and data from the Album app.
Menu > settings > Apps > All > Album > Clear Cache/Data
Let us know how you get on.

Pictures in albums vs moments

I have Photos downloading my iPhone pictures. Previously (in iPhoto) I was able to take these pictures, separate them and put them in a relevant event and that was it. I never checked the "all photos", now everything is in "moments". How can I break these photos up and put them into the relevant album without duplicating or missing any?
Not sure if I'm explaining it right...
Previously...say I took pictures at a holiday party and then a birthday party on my phone. They would automatically download into a photo stream folder in iPhoto. I could go into that and separate the two parties and now have two events.
Now...
I have to go into my photo stream folder and add both parties to two new albums, but I can have a picture in multiple albums, how can I make sure I don't have duplicates like that or miss one?
Just not ready for this change...why get rid of events?

Events aren't gone, they are in the sidebar under Albums, but they are no longer a primary organizer. It seems to me as well to be more difficult to create albums with the correct content.

Photo sync is not including seemingly random pictures and albums

recently, my brand new iPad and my old, 2007 macbook pro decided not to sync a few selected photos. My iPad now has 19 of my 20 albums, even though in preferences I clicked "all photos," and in one of those 19 only 4 of the 50 pictures show up. I use photoshop on my iPad all the time and really need this to stop happening so if anyone has any ideas please let me know!

You can try this. It works for a lot of users with problems syncing certain photos.
Follow the instructions here to delete the iPod Photo cache and see if that helps.
iTunes: Photo sync creates iPod Photo Cache folder
Restart your iPad. Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the red slider appears. Slide your finger across the slider to turn off iPad. To turn iPad back on, press and hold the Sleep/Wake until the Apple logo appears.
Now try syncing.

Adding pictures to albums in Ovi Share

I have over one hundred pictures that I would like to add to an album in Ovi Share. Is there a way to select more than one picture at a time to add to an album? Going one by one is impractical as you need to select then confirm etc. It would be absolutely ridiculous if there wasn't a way to select more than one at a time.
Can someone tell me how this is done?

In my iPhone 4 all albums in the musicplayer has wrong picture but in iTunees in my computer it is correkt.
Haw can i correct this?

this is my second question about iweb. one i'm not exactly sure how to put pictures in. i've made the album in iphoto and i go to drag and drop into iweb where it says to drag albums. theres a green plus sign beside the mouse. but then it doesn't add it. sooo i'm a little confused as to how this works. also is it possible to have an album inside an album? like have a couple peoples albums one website. so you can click on a person then click one of their specific albums. but i need to learn how to add one album first please. thank you.

Welcome to the Apple Discussions. First delete the iWeb preference file, com.apple.iWeb.plist, that resides in your User/Library/Preferences folder, launch iWeb and try again.
Next, if necessary try the following:
1 - close iWeb.
2 - delete the iWeb preference file, com.apple.iWeb.plist, that resides in your User/Library/Preferences folder.
3 - go to your User/Library/Caches/com.apple.iWeb folder and delete the contents.
4 - launch iWeb and try again.
