Pictures in iPhoto to be sent to a website

Can anyone tell me how to go about sending a picture from iPhoto to a website? The picture will be seen as a thumbnail on the website (and when clicked, will open a new page with a larger view of the picture). Does the picture need to be a certain pixel size? Any info would be helpful. Thanks and have a great day

That is totally a function of the web site you are using - read and follow their directions

  • Forwarding pictures from Iphoto using Apple Mail

Ok maybe it's me. But when I sue iPhoto to send pictures by email I select the photos I want in iPhoto, click the "send by email" button and it opens Apple mail.
All that's cool. The problem is that it puts the pictures in the body of the email "which is ok some times" but most times I want to send them as an attachment, which they are not when they are in the body.
So what do I need to do?
    KMW

I had this same problem. when i clicked the email button from iphoto, it made an email, but the pics were in the body and when i sent it to other people, they couldnt download them as attachments. i did some testing and i found out its really just when you use that email button in iphoto. in leopard, theyve added a real nice feature in that you get your ilife media browser when you go to attach something from the web (gmail, aol.com, etc.) and now in Mail itself, theres a photo browser button. using this and then picking the pictures from iphoto will send the pictures as attachments. its just that email button in iphoto that is screwy. according to an ilife page "A new email message opens, ready for you to address and type your text in. Your photo appears in the body of the message, or as an attachment, depending on the email program you’re using.". youd think apple would have made their own mail program do it as an attachment. i dont know, im using my aol account through mail, so maybe thats it. for now just start the email in mail.

  • I can not e-mail pictures from iPhoto

    Hello,
I am using iPhoto (9.4.1) on my iMac (OS X 10.8.2) and my default mail program is Outlook (14.2.4).
A few weeks ago it was possible to mark pictures in iPhoto, to click on the mail icon and Outlook would open a message with the attached pictures so I would be able to add my text and sent it.
Now (maybe after the update of iPhoto as well as of Outlook) this is not possible anymore: When I mark the pictures and click on the icon Outlook opens up (if previously not in use) but then nothing happens. With "Mail" everything works fine.
Since for business reasons I am tied to Outlook  and I want to stick to only one mail application (to better keep track of my correspondence) I would appreciate any hint that would help me restore a function wich previously used to work. Thanks in advance for all the efforts.

This has been reported and I've seen no solution
report to Apple - iPhoto menu ==> provide iPhoto feedback and MS
as a work around you can drag photos to Outlook or if you need to adjust their size first export them to a desktop folder nad then drag to Outlook

  • After installing mountain lion i lost my pictures in iPhoto, lost my music in iTunes, internet became very slow. What can I do to fix this issues

after installing mountain lion I lost pictures in iphoto, lost my musisc in itunes, my icluod is not working, internet its very slow and some other issues. There is a way how to fix these issues

    Open System Preferences > iCloud
Deselect the box next to Photo Stream then reselect it.
Now for your music. Launch iTunes. From the iTunes menu bar top of your screen click iTunes > Preferences then select the Store tab.
Select: Music.  (and Apps and Books) if you want.
    Click OK.
iCloud syncs via your Wi-Fi network so give it a minute or two to reset your photos and music.
Slow internet ...   try turning off the modem for a few minutes, then turn it back on.

  • I cannot pull up pictures from iphoto. I see them but when I click on them, I get an exclamation mark inside a triangle

I cannot open pictures from iphoto.  I see them but when I click on them, I get this exclamation point inside a triangle

The ! turns up when iPhoto loses the connection between the thumbnail in the iPhoto Window and the file it represents.
What version of iPhoto? Assuming 09 or later...
    Option 1
Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Rebuild iPhoto Library Database from automatic backup.
    If that fails:
    Option 2
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. This will create a new library based on data in the albumdata.xml file. Not everything will be brought over - no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your albums and keywords back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one. .

  • How do I change the way I get my pictures with iPhoto?

    Hi everyone,
Currently i plug in my Canon Powershot SD550 camera and iPhoto opens, i can download the pictures into iPhoto directly from there. i assume it was a setting I made when i first got the new computer and I dont know how to turn it off.
However, I want to plug the camera in and move the photos from the camera to a folder on my desktop so I can name them and so on.
I will import them to iPhoto from the folder afterward.
thanks for any help you can provide

iPhoto menu ==> General ==> Connecting Camera opens ==> no application
Then you can go to the finder and copy the images to a folder and prepare them for importing into iPhoto

  • How do I transfer a multiple number of my edited pictures from iPhoto on my iPad to iPhoto on my mac?

I have been working on my ipad with iphoto. First I transferred the pictures from my SD card with connection kit and then I started to edit a lot of them. Now i need to transfer them back to my mac. I would like to continue manage them in Iphoto on the mac but I can not find the option. When I import the pictures via Iphoto or aperture the pictures transfers without the changes I made on the Ipad. I've also tried the command "Send to Itunes" but nothing happens. Do I really need to convert every edited picture to the camera roll ONE BY ONE and then sync the normal way? And I need them with no loss of quality because I want to print a book later. Please help.

There is no link between iPhoto (or Aperture) on your Mac and the app on iOS. So you'll need to export from the iOS app and then import to your preferred app on the Mac. For details on that:

  • When I listen to music on Apple TV 2 my pictures from iPhoto come in, but always the same album (which I nevr asked for), always in random order and always in a different format. How can I control what is going on and choose the album myself.

When I listen to music on Apple TV 2 my pictures from iPhoto come in aafter about ten minutes, but always the same album (which I never asked for), always in random order and always in a different format. How can I choose a different album myself and control the order and format?

Thank you Winston for a helpful response and for reminding me of something which I found nearly a year ago and then lost (in my mind) because I did not use it. I am grateful for a correct answer but it still only achieves part of what I wanted.
I can now choose my photos, decide how long they stay on screen and choose one of a variety of presentations. Two things I still can't do.
One is to get it to play the photos in the chronological order in which I have carefully set them in an album; it still tends to be random and repetitive. The other is that I cannot get any of them them to saty on screen for more than about 20 seconds. I guess this is all due to the way Apple TV is constructed.
    But still thanks, nevertheless.

  • How can I set up my Apple TV and iPhoto on my iMac so Apple TV can display pictures from iPhoto as a normal slideshow or as a Screen Saver?

I have an iMac and an Apple TV that is connected to the main iTunes library on the iMac.  My Apple TV is able to find all the music, videos and pictures that are on the iMac's internal hard drive - presumably via iTunes (music and videos) and directly accessing the Pictures folder.  So far, so good!
Recently, I have had to move a lot of my pictures to an external hard drive - and I had hoped that by 'importing' them into iPhoto (without physically duplicating them on the internal drive), I can still have my Apple TV "find" these pictures via iPhoto - and allow me to browse them as before or use them in my screen-saver.
However, while I can see them in iPhoto, my Apple TV seems to be unable to find them - and I am unable to see them on my TV.
So, is this even supported by Apple TV/ iPhoto?  Is there some configuration I am missing?  Or do I just need to boot up everything from scratch?  Any help would be appreciated!
    Thank you.
    Mahesh

Thanks - I did not realize that Homesharing can be specifically set to a photo destination like that!
So, it would appear that I can either point it to iPhoto (and folders/ events within that) OR the default Pictures folder and subfolders of that OR any other specific folder (and subfolders of that) of my choice.  However, I cannot select BOTH the default Pictures folder (and some subfolder of that) AND a folder in iPhoto AND/ OR an event/ folder in iPhoto.  Is that a correct assumption?
If so, the only way I see getting homesharing to get both set of pictures is to get all my picture folders (internal and external drive based) into iPhoto (without physically duplicating them) - and then pointing Homesharing to iPhoto, right?
I think you have solved my issue - but I just want to be sure of that.
    Thanks a ton!

  • How do I move the pictures from iphoto to my desktop?

I just imported my pictures to iphoto but am trying to put them on a website.  How do i do that?

There are many, many ways to access your files in iPhoto:   You can use any Open / Attach / Browse dialogue. On the left there's a Media heading, your pics can be accessed there. Command-Click for selecting multiple pics.
(Note the above illustration is not a Finder Window. It's the dialogue you get when you go File -> Open)
You can access the Library from the New Message Window in Mail:
There's a similar option in Outlook and many, many other apps.  If you use Apple's Mail, Entourage, AOL or Eudora you can email from within iPhoto.
If you use a Cocoa-based Browser such as Safari, you can drag the pics from the iPhoto Window to the Attach window in the browser.
If you want to access the files with iPhoto not running:
For users of 10.6 and later:  You can download a free Services component from MacOSXAutomation  which will give you access to the iPhoto Library from your Services Menu.
Using the Services Preference Pane you can even create a keyboard shortcut for it.
For Users of 10.4 and 10.5 Create a Media Browser using Automator (takes about 10 seconds) or use this free utility Karelia iMedia Browser
    Other options include:
Drag and Drop: Drag a photo from the iPhoto Window to the desktop, there iPhoto will make a full-sized copy of the pic.
File -> Export: Select the files in the iPhoto Window and go File -> Export. The dialogue will give you various options, including altering the format, naming the files and changing the size. Again, producing a copy.
Show File:  a. On iPhoto 09 and earlier:  Right- (or Control-) Click on a pic and in the resulting dialogue choose 'Show File'. A Finder window will pop open with the file already selected.    3.b.
b: On iPhoto 11 and later: Select one of the affected photos in the iPhoto Window and go File -> Reveal in Finder -> Original. A Finder window will pop open with the file already selected.

  • Is there a way to remove the extended phot info attached to a picture in iphoto?

I imported some pictures into iphoto, and they have extended info attached, like my location.  Is there a way to remove it?
    T

    Hi Fiona,
Okay, the 4th parameter is the issue.
    There are four options:
0 = OK (will not have an 'x')
1 = OK, Cancel (will have an 'x')
2 = Yes, No (will not have an 'x')
3 = Yes, No, Cancel (will have an 'x')
Where you do not include a cancel button (0 or 2) then there wont be an 'x':
However where you do include a cancel button (1 or 3) then there will be an 'x':
There wont be a workaround here (afaik), as the messagebox is driven by the OS, eg is automatically appears different on a Mac verses a Windows machine.
    Good luck,
    Niall
