Pictures in the media box

how do i unhide or view a hidden picture?

On your device, please go to the Media icon > press the Menu key > click Explore.
Now, navigate to the folder in which you know the hidden pictures was stored.
Press the Menu key to click on Show Hidden and you should see ghosted thumbnails of the hidden picture.
Open that picture > Menu key > Properties and uncheck the hidden property.

Problem with storing pictures to the Media Card

I set my 8330 to store pictures to the media card. It works for a while and then the device reverts to storing it on the device memory. It does this without asking or telling me that it's done so. It's very frustrating. Anybody have any idea why it would do this?

Hi and Welcome to the Forums!
That's a very odd situation. Can you tell us, when this happens, does your BB "see" the media card at all? For instance, if when you notice this, can you do Media > Explore and get to the media card still?
Another thing to check is your device OS version -- perhaps there is an update from your carrier that has fixes that would be useful...you can check your carrier via this portal:

If your device OS is current, then you might want to try a different media card...perhaps there is something amiss with the one you have.
Also, how to do you go about recovering and getting it to again store on the media card?

I have photos in a DVD. In order to visualize them in iPhoto, must I necessarily import them? Can't I see the pictures from the media without importing? If not, is there any application with this functionality? I dont't like pre-visualization for photos.

iPhoto is a Database. Before it can work with any data it must be imported to the database, so yes it is necessry to import them.

Hundreds. Any image viewer will do the job. On your Mac the Finder has QuickLook and there is the Preview app as well. Online you can download any of these:

Since updating my Itunes software some time ago, I've not been able to add my own artwork,ie album covers, to my own personal albums.Used to be able to go to "File," "Get Info" and drag/drop my photo into the artwork box, hit save/OK and Voila! No longer and it's Really frustrating. It will let me drag it there but it
won't save it or display it. (Why they go and break somethin' that was working fine?....just an aside) What must one do now to display their own artwork for albums that are non purchasable online?

it has everyrhing to do with tags.
The artwork is stoed in the Artwork tag field.
Since WAV files do not have tags, there is no where to store the tags.
If you use iTunes to get artwork for WAV files, it puts themn into the AlbumArt folder adn links it to the correct files via the iTunes library.itl file.
All other formats (MP3, AAC, AIFF, Apple Lossless) have na artwork tag to store the artwork in the media file itself.

I have the picture of the apple box and a USB coming out of it and the iTunes logo, it will. It let me reset it what can I do

No iPhoto pictures in the Media tab

I'm looking to make a slideshow in iDVD but can't find any of my iPhoto pics in the Media tab. How can I update my iLife'09 Media Browser to include iPhoto and iTunes data?

you can do it without media go
connect phone to pc then another drive will appear in "my computer" open that and access to phone

Can't see my saved picture from the internet

hi guys, i have one serious problem, i cant see my picture that has been saved before from the internet. so when i got a picture from google and i saved it, i cant find it in my "pictures" in the media categories on my playbook. do anyone knows where the playbook stores my saved picture from the internet? please help me T.T

How do I eliminate the text boxes?

I have made ibooks before however this time I get the text boxes in pretty much every page. I delete the page start again to make a full page picture on a blank page and the text boxes appear again. I cannot figure out how to eliminate the text area. Also I cannot change the position of the pictures when the text boxes are displayed.

There is a menu to let you select the layout you want, textbox or no text box.
In iPhoto 11 it's the icon at the top of the page in the single page view:

Earlier versions of iPhoto will have a layout button at the bottom where you can change the layout.

Adding new images and files into the Media Browser?

I am trying to put all my image files on my computer into iPhoto and having no luck- for whatever reason, iPhoto does like the format of my files, nearly all of which are .tifs.
I'd like to get all the pictures into the media browser for Keynote so I can easily put images into presentations. This is mostly for making presentations for scientific talks of my data. A lot of images of tissues, blots, etc.
Is there a way to get files/folders into the media browser and bypassing iPhoto?
I can't get iPhoto (version 5) to work properly on my computer at all so I think I'm pretty fooked.

Depending on what you want to do you can open any folder and drag photos from that folder into keynote without using iphoto. But that could be tedious if you want to insert a lot of photos. If you want only one photo per slide you can drag the photos (a bunch at a time) on the sidebar where you see the thumbnails of the slides and each photo will be placed on a page. The drawback with that is sometimes the order of the photos may have to be tweaked.

Imovie in media box

help - I made a short iMovie with title, saved it into HD movies folder and when I am making a slide and want to insert this iMovie it doesn't show up in the media box. Of about 8 iMovies I have done - two this has happened too. Any ideas on the problem. I had to export the iMovie into a Quicktime movie onto the desktop and drag it into the slide, it isn't as clear.

I have the same problem but on a larger scale. I have 40 imovies that show but the rest are absent. I can see them in my movie file under user name but when I try to insert into the keynote presentation, they are grayed out and I can 't select any of the movies.... this is very frustrating. This presentation is due next week and I told my boss we had to buy keynote b/c it was so much better then powerpoint. PLEASE don't prove me wrong... she wants to switch back to Dell computers which I'm loathe to do... Thanks for any help!

If the clips are not actually missing, you could try to refresh the timeline by using cmd-0 and then going to the timeline options tab. Then select name only where it says "thumbnail display". Press ok to accept the change, then repeat the process to add thumbnails back to your timeline.

Very likely not, as the iPhoto's can be used for something else.
More like it took a copy, or it's referencing that spot on the drive in the editable files and most likely made a copy to create a new permanent export file.
Sample one picture and a iMovie file and see what happens.

One of the comments suggests you can't use greater than or less than with the star rating in Finder.
You might try a Raw Query with the kMDItemStarRating.
In the criteria popup menu, select Other, then find the Raw Query entry.
You might have to play around with the syntax, but try "kMDItemStarRating >= 3"
