Pictures keep resizing

I have the newest iPod Touch running 8.0. When I connect it to my LCD screen last week everything played fine. I just updated some pictures from my iMac, now it resizes the pictures. Some small, some regular. I have checked all my settings on the TV, but still won't stay on the correct size. Any suggestions?

An iPod touch is not meant to be used with an LDC screen. Only HDTV.
That's why your images are resizing.

Finder list view name column keeps resizing!

I mainly use list view in Finder, and I mainly use windows (as opposed to fullscreen) because I like dragging and dropping between them (dragging and dropping in fullscreen with tabs is rather cumbersome).
Anyway, the name column keeps resizing on me, going from what I have it set to (usually double-clicked to make it fit all filenames) to suddenly being small enough that all the other columns fit in the window without a horizontal scroll bar. This has been happening ever since I upgraded to Yosemite and happens every time I open a new Finder window, expand a folder, move a file, etc. It's incredibly frustrating!
I was surprised to not find much about this problem mentioned around the web, so I imagine it must be some setting or something specific to my machine. Any help in figuring out how to make it stop doing this would be much appreciated!

Sorry, no, preferences in the sense of what I prefer, but I believe view options (command J) are stored in DS_Store files, as well as list view column data, such as date added, date modified, name, kind, size, etc (except for some folders such as network, computer and meetingroom/airdrop?) which are stored in com.apple.finder.plist). You probably know that you can select which columns display in view options. Perhaps a temporary workaround would be to switch off other visible columns to display only name or name and one other preferred column to increase space available. However, myself and another suspect this the problems I described as a bug, and I would have to think your issue is part of that bug. It seems all related, no? For example, in my Downloads folder, I select to hide "Date Modified", show "Date Added", and arrange by "Date Added". Maybe it will still show if I close the window and reopen the Downloads folder, maybe it will not, maybe it will change completely to Icon View despite have "always open in list view" being selected in view options. In any case, after a restart, it will revert back to list view, with "Date Modified" showing and being arranged by "Name".

I just started have this same/simmilar issue to. Was there a solution to the original question? I have 2 ATVs. One works without issue, the other... kicks me out repeatedly... to the point where the content will load for about 3 sec before kicking me all the way out. Tried all the trouble shooting options including: checking latest software update, reset, hard restart, and checking router download speed (over 50 Mbps on speedtest.net). Should mention this occurs most frequently when downloading Netflix content, but the same issue occurs downloading other content like PBS.

Photoshop 2014: "Save" dialog keeps resizing

Hello, everyone,
In PS CC 2014 under Yosemite, when taking the following steps:
1. Save for web
2. Save
The final dialog, the one asking for the name of the file to be saved, gets slightly larger each time it opens. I keep resizing it to its minimum size, but no matter what, with each new image file saved, the dialog is slightly larger each time.
I would love to stop this from happening.
Any ideas?

That is blatant user error. If you have other drives, UNCHECK your boot drive as a scratch disk.
The rule of thumb I follow to figure out scratch space says to figure on 50 to 100 times the size of your largest file ever multiplied by the number of files you have open. I have seen the scratch file exceed 800 GB once, an admittedly rare occurrence, but it often exceeds 200 GB when stitching large panoramas and the like.

With the amount of information you've provided it's impossible to offer a solution. We can't see your computer so we need to know the details of your problem and setup, i.e.:
what version of iPhoto are you using? A new iMac will have Yosemite. Confirm.
what system version are you running? Download iPhoto 6 from the App store. Did you?
what do you mean by "picture keeper"?
have you looked in the Applications folder for an iPhoto application?
is your iPhoto Library in your Pictures folder ?

Try the following steps, check whether things are working after each step where appropriate, before trying the next.
Restart the Apple TV (Settings > General > Restart).
Restart the Apple TV by removing ALL the cables for 30 seconds.
Restart your router. (Also try removing it’s power cord for at least 30 seconds)
Reset the Apple TV (Settings > General > Reset > Reset all settings)
Restore the Apple TV (Settings > General > Reset > Restore)

Screen keeps resizing

I just bought a refurbished Ipad and it keeps resizing forno good reasons. It makes it impossible to do anything because it is resizinglike 5 times a second. Any help?

It may be this ....
You may have Zoom on... double tap with three fingers to turn it off. Go into Settings > General > Accessibility to disable it.
If that isn't it - reset the iPad.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.

In Windows 8.1, the Thunderbird window keeps resizing

I have a new Transformer T100A laptop, running Windows 8.1 Pro. I run Thunderbird in desktop mode. The height of the Thunderbird window keeps getting small, while the width remains the same. I usually have my folder mails in the top pane, and the open message in the bottom pane. When I open Thunderbird, it often, but not always, comes up with such a short window that I can't see any of the open message at all, and only a few lines of the messages in the folder. This happens often even when I haven't closed Thunderbird, but the computer has gone into battery saving mode. This is not a huge problem, but it's annoying to have to resize the window almost every time I use Thunderbird.

In Pages 5.0, new Format Panel sidebar keeps resizing my page.

After new Format or Setup Panel sidebar slides back to the right as expected, that part of the page is gone, hiding the text on the right of the page. I am forced to resize my document back to its original size, so I can see my full text again. However, sidebar does not misbehave when my page is full-screen or with Numbers application. Is there any fix available, please?
As it is, I am forced to keep the sidebar on all the time, but I'd rather see it only when I need it. For me, it is really important to have as much screen space as possible for texts only, keeping everything else out of sight. Please, help me.

This is a problem with using Pages 5 with its fixed sidebar.
Have you thought of just using Pages '09 which should still be in your Applications/iWork folder?

Whenever i am using my laptop and my palms are on the base of the laptop and i am typing all of sudden... my screen size keeps resizing bigger or smaller

i try to keep my thumb palms off the mouse pad when i am typing but every now and then my screen resizes larger or smaller until i take my left palm off the keyboard base its only when my left palm is resting on the base next to the touch pad. i type pretty fast so it gets annoying and yes it also jumps screens or reverts back to previous message and i have to choose ctrl z to undo and get back to my message i was typing... it also switches tabs on me as well... not sure why my palm being on the left of the keypad on the base should effect anything but it does after a while. and i have to stop what i am doing...and go to the firefox menu and change the screen size back down to 100% sometimes it goes up to 200-300 other times it goes down to 70-80% i find it annoying i i wish there was a way to turn off the screen resize in the setup panel. if its just left to be 100% i am happy with that... i don't need it to be bigger or smaller... there should be a way to LOCK it down... i understand that there are people out there with eye problems and needs to have the screen size increase using the + or - but there should be a lock so it just stays no matter what is happening on my keypad or touch pad or base of the pad... that screen size will not increase or decrease. unless i turn off the lock... perhaps this is something they can implement in the next version or do a quick update of the browser
