Pictures MIA in Gallery

So I keep having the issues of my photos in my Gallery deleting themselves. When I first got the phone, it was because my SD card wasn't large enough...well now that issue was resovled and my pictures and videos still do a vanishing act. Has anyone else had that issue? It happens at random and sometimes I have to delete photos once I upload them to where I want them (for example FB) or otherwise older pictures go...or sometimes newer pictures go. Very odd indeed. The Verizon guys/girls tend to look at me like they've never heard of this being an issue with the phone. Nope, it's not user error either. Thoughts, explanations, or fixes are welcome. =)

Simple things first:
- turn phone off, then on...try gallery
- turn phone off, remove battery , remove SD card, reinsert SD card,
reinstall battery.   Turn phone on try gallery
- Try accessing the pictures via the Application -  'MY files '
  open my files   go to the DCIM folder..then the Camera folder
   do you see the pictures there?

    Tried to install Share Online, but failed. After this I can't view any pictures in the gallery, only white squares. Have discovered that Share was preinstalled. What should I do? Restore original setting will create much work, as I have RoadSync email, not Nokia.

    Well, this is a great opportunity to "scold" you for not having these files backed up. But let's not go there...OK? The first thing you need to do is to try and recover anything on your HD that you cannot easily replace. The best option at this point is going to boot your computer into target disk mode, connect it to another mac and copy your files. Before you try anything else, you need to do this. Then you can try repairing the "target disk" and try booting the computer again.

  • I can't get MobileMe Gallery to stop trying to move pictures from it to Aperture. I never posted pictures to MobileMe Gallery. HELP

    MobileMe has been discontinued
    Aperture will move albums you have published to Mobile Me Gallery into the Albums section of your library to preserve them.
    If I chose OK it will say aperture is moving mobile me gallery and it takes forever but I've never posted pictures to that gallery.
    HELP

    If you migrated from MobileMe to iCloud your Addressbook will now be synced with iCloud and not with MobileMe.
    Make sure, the AppleID you are using with iCloud is the same you when upgrading from MobileMe to iCloud. Your iCloud account has to be enabled in the Addressbook and your contacts should appear in the iCloud accounts section.
    To sync your Contacts, they have to be enabled in the iCloud preferences, like this:
    But please, take your iCloud- Addressbook question to the "iCloud On my Mac" forum:  https://discussions.apple.com/community/icloud/icloud_on_my_mac
    There you will find the better experts for syncing between Mac and iPhone.

    Hello
    I was able to create a new workbook with more than 34 dataproviders (not 34 tabs !!). So I guess somehow my first workbook had been corrupt.
    It takes around 3 mn to run this working there is not much data.
    I had to create so many queries due to an issue with average calculation [there is another post for that issue].

    I want to hide certain pictures in the "Gallery"so only I can see when I want.  How can I do this?

    Sometimes depending on the SD card (you set the sd card to be where photos are sent) and then place a security code on the files and photos. I know this can be done on a computer not 100% sure about a cell phone.
    Another option is to have the photos sent to Picassa (going to be Google+ shortly) or Photo bucket or other web spots for photos or even Drop Box etc. this way your photos are away from the phone, and only the ones on the phone you don't care about remain on the cell
    So I hope it works out ok for you.

    This is a long shot but try this:
    1 - go to your System/MobileMe preference pane and log out of your MMe account.
    2 - try logging in with a bad user name and password to clear the caches.
    3 - now log in with your correct user name and password.
    4 - launch iPhoto, select your MMe galleries one at a time and click on the publish button
    5 - check your online galleries to see if they can not be viewed.

  • Why do have a long default Subject when sending picture to Web Gallery?

    Why does Apple populate a long default Subject when sending a picture to Web Gallery? This is extremely annoying as the long Subject has to be deleted for each picture (Subject becomes the Pictures' caption in the Gallery) before entering a desired Caption.
    Why not just leave the default Subject blank so we can add what we want? I have submitted this as both an enhancement and bug request to online Apple support. Just wanted to call it to others attention in case their was a workaround or so others could also submit it to support.
    Not very user friendly having to tap 20+ delete keys before entering a Caption for each picture....

    Just keep the delete key pressed down. It's faster.

  • Double Pictures in MobileMe gallery

    So, I start a gallery, I drop a picture in and while it's taken forever to publish I drop more in, one by one, as I decide I like them. Is it only me that does it this way? In the end I get multiple images in iPhoto, although on-line it seems ok. If I delete the duplicate entries the wrong photo normally vanishes. Usually I end up deleting the lot and publishing a whole new gallery.
    Example picture here:
    http://img.skitch.com/20080817-mch66njkmns7yh7288u67y79dp.jpg
    Those pictures were dropped in just once. Each time it syncs it seems to drag down another copy. Never used to happen on .mac

    in iPhoto '08 this is a known issue - if you modify a gallery while it is publishing the results are unpredictable and may create duplicate photos either in iPhoto or in the MoblieMe gallery - until this is corrected the work around is to build a local album in iPhoto making the changes, edits, etc and then once it is complete publish it
    The gallery problems have been around since the release of iPhoto '08 - each iPhoto '08 update has improved things but this one persists
    I suspect you are seeing the same issue in iPhoto 6 - while it is not the way you want to (and IMHO should be able to) work, this is a usable workaround

  • E52- how to view the pictures in your gallery as a...

    you can only view the pictures in that n95 circle style - how do you make it like the thumbnails on a pc?
    You could do this before on the 6300
    It really is annoying, as i have a few hundred pictures, and to find one - it takes ages, as i have to scroll through them all!
    Regards
    E52 - Product code 0585050

    If you are willing to pay for a superior third party solution, consider getting Resco Photo Viewer. It supports viewing in thumbnail mode and folder browsing like on a normal desktop gallery application (reminds me of ACDSee) and is so much quicker and easier to use than the Gallery app. You can even set it to cache thumbnails so it will be quicker the next time you use it.
    There is a 14-day trial on there is no harm in trying.

    hi,
    back to work,
    then i used a loop in the first clear function:
    var n:int = 0;
                  while (n < xml_gallery_List.length() -1) {
                      bottom24.gallery.content_mc.itemHolder_mc.removeChildAt(n); //
                    i++;
    and it remove all my previously loaded pictures,but it throw me an error :
    RangeError: Error #2006: The supplied index is out of bounds.
    at flash.display: DisplayObjectContainer/removeChildAt()
    it seems error come from the removeChildAt, but i can't figure out what's wrong
    i've tried to replace removeChildAt(n); by removeChild(n); and the loop crash Flash software....
    any suggestion ?

  • Duplicate Pictures in my gallery

    I have taken pictures with my phone and have renamed them and now I have duplicates shown on my gallery. I have also deleted pictures but they still show up with the delete option grayed out. I am wondering how I could permanently remove these from my phone.

    Download 1Tap Cleaner Free from https://market.android.com/details?id=com.a0soft.gphone.acc.free&feature=search_result and clear cache and restart \
    or
    Goto Settings / Application / Manage Applications / All Tabs / Media Storage and Clear Cache and Data and restart phone, when you open gallery it will take a minute and then the information will be updated.

  • Viewing pictures in N82 gallery

    Hi, my N82 takes decent pictures, but viewing them is not fun at all, hopefully someone knows of a way to adjust the settings. Firstly when I take a photo with the phone held sideways(like a camera), and I go back to view them though gallery they have been rotated around and only fill half the screen. (I have auto-rotate turned off cos its not practical in everyday use). There is an option in the menu to rotate pic left or right, but this takes ages and each pic has to be done individually. The same things happens when taking and viewing videos. Does anybody know how to make them full screen every time without turning on autorotate?
    Another thing is there are loads of pics that show up in the gallery which aren't photos, but icons form programmes installed on the memory card. I dont want to delete them as the programmes will stop working but how do I make them not show up? Also is there a way to view the gallery with simple thumbnails instead of the impractical eye candy u-shaped slideshow? I really hope there is a solution or that nokia fixes these issue with the next firmware or I'm gonna go back to my K800 for photos.

    With reference to the above query, you might like to look at this post by dan955uk which although a bit tedious eliminated about 60 TomTom thumbnails from Gallery for me.

    Windows Gallery works just like windows Explorer it only points to the pictures folder. It is not a database. So the files do not need to be transfered at all. Just navigate photoshop or any other CS5 program to the pictures folder and work your way through the child folders.
