Pictures not posting correctly

When I upload my iweb published page to the web, the pictures displayed on the live site are different from the ones that are supposed to be there. they display correctly in the iweb program on my computer, but not when i upload. Any suggestions?

Welcome to the Apple Discussions. Try the following:
1 - close iWeb.
2 - delete the iWeb preference file, com.apple.iWeb.plist, that resides in your User/Library/Preferences folder.
3 - go to your User/Library/Caches/com.apple.iWeb folder and delete the contents.
4 - launch iWeb and republish the entire site.

Blog pages not posting correctly... spacing and placement issues... WHY!

So I've just started using iWeb to post photo blogs about my adventures in snowboarding.... The home page turned out great... BUT the individual blog posts are not posting correctly at all.....I add my entries like so....

then an image here

So after I get it all done and post it the text and image placement comes out very different from how I entered it... Sometimes the image is over the text.....
I have to go back and move my images around and add massive amounts of spacing to get it to seem somewhat normal... it's not coming out how I want it... WHY is iWeb doing this....

Idoc status green but data not posted correctly to destination system.

Hi,
Can anyone help me out with idoc problem that I am facing.
The problem has come out with outbound idoc.
The status of the idoc is green when it has been sent but the objects that has been sent with that idoc are not getting posted in the destination system.Some of them are posted correctly but some of them are not.
What may be the reason behind this.

Sick pay dedections not posting correctly

Hi All,
Please can some one help me with this :
There are 2 issues
1. Employee Sick Pay WT not posting
2. Employer Sick Pay Employer WT. Can you please advise where the debit and credit are mapped

are you geting posting balance error.
generally employee sick pay will assign to balance sheet GL.
employer sick pay will assign both expense GL and balance sheet GL.
you create three symbolic account two symbolic account with F and one with C.
assign one symbolic account with F to employee sick pay wage type.
you asign another symbolic a/c with F and symbolic a/c with c to employer sick pay.
maintain sign will be + for symbolic a/c C and - for symbolic a/c with F when you assign wage type to symbolic account.

IChat not posting correctly (through AIM)

As of sometime yesterday, my version of iChat (which is 6.0.2, I noticed that wasn't a version listed here, oddly) has been acting funny for blocks of text for AIM. A buddy of mine copy and pasted a paragraph of text and, although I heard the post noise, until I closed the program completely and reopened it, I wasn't able to see that post. Additionally, after this is posted, iChat will not auto-scroll down to the newest post, instead I have to manually scroll down when a new post comes (including if I post). Is this a beta version and I wasn't aware of it? When I sign on to regular AIM, everything works fine. Thanks!

Apple stopped the Messages Beta from working on the 14 December 2012
People should have been encouraged to "reinstall" iChat 6 at that point by the Messages (Beta) menu > Uninstall option.
i.e. events have since over taken this Thread's info.
The iChat 2 beta back in Jaguar was also time Limited from the May 2004 until the end of October 2004 before being free with Panther

Hi - I am going through some of my more recent activity and it looks like all sorts of funny things are happening with my points..
For example, I had an online order and it is splitting up everything into individuals purchases.
In addition, it looks like that you have to spend at least $10 to get the bonus for being elite. Take a look at my history and you'll see whta i mean..

Contact picture not saved correctly

When I edit or add a picture to a contact it is not saved as edited. I usually get the left lower portion of the edit blown up. Any work arounds or solutions.

I have a similar issue, user has no photo in AD, yet when this user call another user incoming call toast displays his predecessors photo who has already left the company. We have already cleared photo cache folder....thoughts?

My Contacts Picture Not Sized Correctly

I understand that if I attach a picture to my contacts profile from the phone, then when I make a call (or receive one), the image will fill the whole screen.
However, I'm not doing that. I'm assigning pictures to my contacts through the address book APP on my Mac. I assign a "iphoto faces" pic through the address book app which syncs over iCloud to my phone. However, when I make or receive calls, the image fills the whole screen.
Any ideas?

IWeb with flash widget not posting correctly on Firefox on PC

I created pages on iWeb, with flash widget. It looks great on Safari and Firefox on the mac, terrible on firefox PC. Basically on Firefox PC, the iWeb created site that should be in front of the flash file, gets behind it when the page loads, so the page only shows the flash file.
Can anyone help? I have tried to figure out the HTML and CSS, without success.

Why would it work on the mac, and not on the PC?

How did you succeed on your second example
The moving butterflies is a web page with the SWF file (made in Keynote 08) embedded in the HTML Snippet with the iframe HTML element.

Monochromatic Canon RAW pictures not imported correctly in iPhoto?

The Canon cameras have a setting to create only a RAW format of a picture (no jpg is created). I'm able to import the picture into iPhoto but the original custom settings are lost. For example, I took pictures on the programmed mode on monochromatic but the pictures are imported chromatic so the B&W effect is lost. The thumbnails in Finder do show the B&W picture for the RAW files.
How do import these RAW files so the iPhoto creates a jpg with the original settings (monochromatic) ?

There's no such thing as a monochromatic Raw. A Raw is a sensor dump from the camera. Your camera has an RGB sensor and shoots everything in colour.
What the mono setting does on your camera affects only jpegs. What you're seeing in the Finder is the Jpeg preview built-in to the Raw as an icon.
So, put simply, if you want to shoot B&W, shoot jpeg.

Contact Picture Not Syncing Correctly

Hi,
I've got an app that gets all my friends pictures from facebook & adds them to my contacts on my iPhone & iPad. The problem is when they are uploaded to iCloud & sent to my contacts on my Mac, the pictures are either blurred or cut in half, see picture. I'm just wondering if anyone has a solution or has had a similar thing happen?

Resolution issues, picture not sized correctly

I hope I can explain this properly...
My AppleTV recently started displaying "too big", meaning the menu options no longer properly fit on the screen. For example, on the main menu page the MOVIES option is too far on the left of the screen to see properly although I can access it still by clicking on the choice by memory. Likewise, the SETTINGS option is too far to the right of the screen.
The AppleTV software is up to date and I tested a different HDMI cable hoping that would be the problem. I chose the 1080i HD option under the resolution settings, which is correct for my TV and was the same resolution used in the past when it did work. I tried several other resolution settings in the meantime just in case and the problem persists.
My Cable & DVD inputs on the TV are imaging correctly. I have an Hitachi P50H401 50-Inch HD1080 Plasma HDTV.
Does anybody have any ideas, whether its an AppleTV or a fix for my TV itself? Any help would be appreciated.

Most likely cause would be inadvertently altering the TV's aspect ratio setting to a 'zoom' option - if other inputs are ok, this would assume ach input can have it's own settings applied on the TV. Try setting it to 16:9 or Auto.

X58 Pro not POSTing correctly

Hi,
My new install X58 Pro system powers up OK, all fans running, DVD and HDs spinning up but I get no video output and the machine powers back to standby after about 2-3 minutes.
A couple of noob questions:
- For a single video card which PCI-Express should I use (I'm using PCI_E2 - i.e. top X16 one)?
- Is there a list of any POST codes (beeps etc.) and/or can an Post LED be added (like on the X58 Eclipse)?
I have tried reseating the RAM (using the black slots), tried with just one stick in A0 and disconnected all but CPU, Keyboard and fans. Same problem each time - 2-3 minutes of activity without video and then auto-shuts down to standby mode (yellow power light).
All power connectors on board are being used (8 pin and 24 pin).
I will try removing the board from the case this evening and running on a cardboard box instead.
Any ideas or suggestions?

Hi JustBGood, & welcome to the forum. I didn't see any beep codes in the manual, just the LED Status Indicator section on pages 2-27 & 2-28. The X58 Pro doesn't have the pinheader for attaching the D-LED2. With just one mem. stick in slot A0 (black), & CMOS cleared (with power cord removed), set XMP disabled, Spread Spectrum disabled, Mem. Ratio to 4, Uncore to 8, & retest for boot. Yes, use the PCI-E slot closest to the CPU (PCI_E2) for your graphics card.

Pictures not opening correctly

When I try and open an image in Photoshop it appears as the image below -
I have checked and my Graphic card is on the approved list and I have updated it today but I still have the problem.
If I make a duplicate layer I can see the full image OK, its just when I open the image to start with. Most frustrating.

This is almost certainly a driver issue. It only affects some card models, and some driver versions.
(though, it's also possible you just have a defective GPU or VRAM, but I would expect more problems if that were the case)
At the time that we tested that card, it was working - so we listed it as compatible. Subsequent driver updates have introduced bugs in the driver that cause the display issues you are seeing. Please understand that GPU vendors are updating their drivers every 2-4 weeks.
Since the current driver is not working, you may have more luck rolling back to an older version of the driver.
What changed in ACR is that ACR in CS6 now uses the GPU, where it did not in CS5. So it is now exposed to the same driver bugs as Photoshop (unless you turn off the GPU features in Photoshop's preferences).

Day, not date, specific holidays not posting correctly from ical to .mac

holidays that repeat yearly on a monday rather than a date don't appear correctly as recurrences when published to .mac
anyone find a work around?

For some reason, if you stored the new contact with a "mobile" number only, it won't sync. If you wtore it as "work" or "other" it will sync. Strange but true..
You can also add a "dummy" number "work" as a zero (0)
