Pictures overlaping text on blog site

Hello All,
My wife has been using iWeb 08 to create a blog on some of our adventures. For some reason, with our most recent entry, we've had a lot of problems getting the spacing correct. The pictures are overlapping the text. All looks fine in iWeb before publishing, but once published, it looks terrible with everything overlapping. Here is a link to the page:
http://web.me.com/joeb78/J%26_B_in_Africa/Blog/Entries/2009/4/17_CapeTown.html
Any help advice on how to correct this issue would be great. It seems like it should publish as it looks in iWeb, but this is not the case. I am guessing it's a problem with the spacing and breaks in the HTML, but I am not sure how to correct.
Thanks,
JB

Thanks Fade-2-Black - this solved my problem. After doing some research, I realized that my wife was using one of the iWeb pre-formatted pages for her blogs. In order to add images, she was simply dragging the photos onto the blog page using the "Media" browser. The problem was that this was creating floating images instead of ones that were anchored. So, I just used some text boxes and then the insert/choose command as you suggested and it looks great now.
Thanks so much for the help.

  • Pictures overlapping in IE and Safari!

    I created a website with IWeb 08'.
    Everything looks fine when it is displayed in Firefox but the pictures overlapped in Internet Explorer and Safari;what's the cause?
    here is the url:it's in french but you can see for yourself the pictures in IE or Safari..

    One your BEETHOVEN and BORDEAUX pages embed the photos in the text box itself so when the text box moves the photo move also. That will prevent the overlap you're seeing on those two page. My tutorial site is created that way: http://toadstutorials.info. On those pages I just added the photo to one line and set the justification for that line to center with the Inspector/Text/Text pane.
    This demo page illustrates adding images to a text box and then using the text wraparound feature: Photos and Shapes in Text Box with Wraparound.

  • Hi - Need advice on placing pictures and text within DIV's

    I am new to CSS and am creating DIV's to structure my page.
    I am trying to do two things and i imagine the solution will be similar or the same for both issues.
    Firstly I have created a container DIV in the centre of my page, within that I would like to place pictures and text.
    My questions are
    How do i get one DIV to sit beside another one? it is defaulting to sitting underneath it, I have adjusted the box size etc.
    When adding text I would like it to sit next to the picture (located in the top left corner)  it is currently sitting below the picture.
    many thanks
    Mark

    Here is a tut on positioning divs's:
    http://www.brainjar.com/css/positioning/
    When adding text I would like it to sit next to the picture
    You can create a class to float the picture left, something like this:
    .pic_left {
        float: left;
        padding: 5px;
        margin-top: 0;
        margin-right: 0;
        margin-bottom: 5px;
        margin-left: 0;
    When it's floated left the text will be next to it.
    Your markup would be:
    <img src="images/picture.jpg" alt="xxx" width="175" height="165" class="pic_left" />
    Then add the text.

  • Anchored pictures in text box 'drift'

    http://www.houselavigne.us/Media/Photos.html
    I have a problem with anchored pictures 'drifting' down our 'Photos' page so that by the bottom they no longer line up with their description.
    I used the 'About Us' page in the Travel template and just copied and pasted the sample picture and text area from the Our Photos text box until I had enough for all of our albums. In iWeb the pictures each have an anchor point on the line above their description so that they appear with their bottom edge lined up with the bottom edge of the date line:
    (anchor)
    Description
    Date
    And in iWeb the pictures line up with their anchor point and date line all the way down the page. When I upload my site and view it in Safari the pictures start to drift slowly down the page, so that the last picture at the bottom of the page is several lines below it's date line.
    In the original template each picture is 45 x 45 pixels and they are still that size in my modified version... Unfortuniately troubleshooting takes a VERY long time with a site this large.
    Has anyone else had trouble with this?

    I noticed todya on a Windows PC that the anchored pictures stay put, it's only when viewed on a Mac that iWeb's formatting doesn't work.

  • The picture frame in the blog summary!

    Hey,
    by default a frame of the blog entry picture shows up in the blog summary right with its text... It was all good, but by adding my second blog entry i suddenly found both entries on the blog summary page are without no photos... even by playing with the "placement" of the picture and text format of this page... just nothing...! u can check it out here : http://www.bynomad.net/Nomad/Blog/Blog.html
    thanks

    ok i figured it out! i was deleting the default shot and then add my picture! well what is supposed to be right is just drag and drop it over the default picture, this will still make it bounded to the blog page!
    i still find it silly anyway... also re-adjusting the default page every time i post something... they should create a custom thing for each page i believe...
    cheers

  • Data type change made to schema.xml of comments list which is part of blog site template is not reflecting in the existing site but working fine when new site is created.

    Hi,
    I have created a blog site with the available site template few days back. Now we have the requirement of having the attachments in the body of the comments section.
    So, I updated the schema.xml of the comments list available under ../templates/blog/lists/comments/schema.xml to have rich text for the Body field.
    With this change, I created a new site and it was working fine. Change is reflected in the new blog site.
    However, this particular change is not reflected in the existing blog site. Any changes made to the schema.xml is not effecting the old blog site.
    Can anyone suggest what can be done for the change to be reflected in the old blog site?
    Thanks in Advance,
    Regards, Keerthi Suryadevara

    Hi,
    According to your post, my understanding is that you wanted to add attachments in the body of the comments section.
    You can add the the Code inside the Default list pages. For more information, you can refer to:
    Enable Attachment in SharePoint Blog post list and display the list Attachments
    In addition, you can add an enhanced rich text field to the comment list and remove the body field. Then you can insert files into comments, too.
    Here is a similar thread for your reference:

  • Blog Site Archives not showing all posts

    We have SharePoint 2013 Enterprise on premise.
    We have a blog site we use company wide that has an average of five new posts a week.
    When you use the built-in "Archives" view to look at blog posts by month, it will show you the first ten, but when you use the navigation button to see the next ten it displays "There are no posts in this month."
    This is not an issue when navigating the Blog site normally, or even when viewing blog posts based on Category.  It only seems to effect the monthly archive views.
    I suspect it might have something to do with the URL being created incorrectly.
    For example, if I'm on the main blog site and click "November" under "Archives", the URL will be this:
    http://intranet.domain.com/news/Lists/Posts/Date.aspx?StartDateTime=2013%2D11%2D01T05%3A00%3A00Z&EndDateTime=2013%2D12%2D01T06%3A00%3A00Z&LMY=November%2C%202013
    when I click the button to see the next ten the URL is this:
    http://intranet.domain.com/news/Lists/Posts/Date.aspx?Paged=TRUE&p_PublishedDate=20131121%2020%3a41%3a00&p_ID=197&StartDateTime=2013%252D11%252D01T05%253A00%253A00Z&EndDateTime=2013%252D12%252D01T06%253A00%253A00Z&PageFirstRow=11&&View=a517419e-c215-40aa-b00e-24380eb95e36
    Honestly I'm not sure if this is the issue or not, but it seemed odd to me that the URL changes so much.
    Can anybody help me out with this?

    The Archive is a list view. You can create a new one.
    Here's how to create a new view that should function similar to the out of the box Archive view:
    On the ribbon, click the list tab then Create View.
    Choose the Standard View type.
    Name it something like Archive - new
    Scroll to the bottom and click OK.
    If this new view does the job, you can delete the old view and rename the new one Archive.

    I don't believe that the Blog Site uses standard views for Archives and Category views.
     I see no way to edit the current "Archives" view and the URL's don't really mesh with a normal list view URL.
    If I access the actual list of posts by clicking "Manage Posts" under Blog Tools I can add/edit/remove views, but that's not what I'm looking for.  I've included a picture of the view I'm talking about:

  • Overlapping text...Whats up?

    Hi
    Most of the web pages that i visit have overlapping text & links making it impossible to access and read all of the info at those sites. I thought it was somthing I could fix in the "view" or text encoding but nothing seems to work.
    Does anyone else have this problem? How can it be resolved?... Thank

    Hello cuz:
    You may have a font problem (or something else).
    Open font book and select all and eliminate the duplicates. Then select all and verify the fonts.
    Next, clear the Safari cache, trash the preference file (com.apple.safari.plist) and restart.

  • My LG Cosmos Touch will not download pictures from texts anymore

    For the last couple of weeks..my phone will not download pictures or texts containing a lot of bytes...according to Verizon...this phone is designed to only accept up to 3500 bytes and all the newer phones send texts with pic about 30,000 bytes....and there is no solution beyond getting a newer phone..but I do not want to pay for an internet plan...so..is there any other way to get my phone to download these things sent to me? And yes..I have taken out battery as was instructed...just hoping there is a solution that this verizon rep does not know about...I feel like this is gonna be like the Daily Scoop issue....

    Hi obrnlori,
    I am happy to provided you with an alternate way to view your pictures until you decide to upgrade to a new phone. I would suggest forwarding the picture to your free Pix Place account on our web site. Here is some information to assist you with establishing an account and transferring pictures to Pix Place  Additionally, you can also forward the picture directly to your e-mail address and view the picture via your PC.  I am hopeful this information is helpful. Please let me know if you have any additional concern.

    My iPhone 5 won't allow me to open pictures from text messages. I tap the picture, then it just goes to a "thinking" screen and says "Restoring..."
    I tried restarting, but it still won't allow me to open pictures.

  • Cannot send pictures via text message since software update...HELP!!!!

    Although I am a BIG FAN of BB Torch (have had several), BUT since it was discontinued, I had no choice but to "up grade" to BB Z10...IT was working just fine...NOT as good as the Torch though, but I was getting use to it...TILL the new software came along last week (Tuesday), so after doing just that, up dating my phone, I saw that I was NOT able to send or receive pictures via text message. I did called ATT, deleted everything, resintalled my data/information...and STILL nothing.
    I "google" the problem, and was sooooo SAD to find out that I was NOT the only one, and that THIS problem is AN OLD ONE (2013), but BB has done nothing to fix it.
    I did read on of the technical support answers and followed every single step, but STILL NOTHING, NADA...no able to send neither receive pictures...PLEASE, PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!!

    Well, interesting... glad it worked out.

  • SharePoint 2013 Blog Site not showing current navigation(Left Navigation)

    I have created a blog site but blog pages are not showing my current navigation, it has got its own left navigation, Can i show left (current) navigation? I am trying to find the page layout being used for blog items but unable to find.

    Hi,
    By design, there is a left navigation in the blog site. Like the following image show.
    Please check whether there is CSS style in site to hide the left navigation.
    If you don’t want to use the default navigation, we can also customize a new one.
    We can use SharePoint designer 2013 to modify it(In /_catalogs/masterpage/seattle.master ).

  • Adobe Photoshop Touch: Disable snapping in when moving pictures and text

    Hallo,
    I really have to disable that snap in when I move imported pictures or text in a file in Adobe Photoshop Touch but. I didn't find a feature yet to disable it.
    Can you help me please?
    Thank you.

    For either importing images or adding text, there's a magnet icon with a checkmark in the options box; tap it to disable snapping.

  • How can I have a picture overlap 2 pages?

    I'm having trouble having a picture overlap on two neighboring pages. Right now the picture shows on one page with the other half blanked out.
    Would appreciate any help figuring this out? This seems possible as it was done in Education event.

    Not sure (haven't tried it yet) but possibly you need to split the original image exactly in half and load each half separately. I did that in my iBook (which was made before iBooks Author became available) because the iBookstore Guidelines suggested doing so. Memory issue, maybe.
