Hi, I had the same problem. I finally figured it out. Plug in the USB cord to your ipad, but beofre plugging it into your computer make sure your ipad is not in the locked or sleep mode. Once I did this, my photos showed up and started downloading. Hope that helps you!

    Morning AndreD86,
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.

Also we want to double-click the Home button and swipe the Task Bar to the right.
Then make sure the button on the far left of Task Bar is not muted.
    Best of luck,

  • Why can't I sync my ipad air to my older Dell computer????

Why can't I sync my ipad air w/ my older Dell Computer?

    Start iTunes on the computer.
Connect your iPad to the computer.
SELECT your iPad in iTunes. Look for the small device icon in the top bar of iTunes. Click on that.
A sidebar should be on the left.
Select the Music, Photos, videos, App etc. that you want to have on your iPad.,
Then click on Sync or Apply whichever shows.

  • IPad syncing issues getting on my nerves... suggestions?

When I first got my iPad 3G 64GB, I decided to sync as a new device and auto sync apps. Okay, but that put 22 pages of apps on my device and I was forced to spend at least a couple hours culling them down to just to fit the ones I want on the iPad... about 160.
Spent a good portion of the day yesterday filling up my iPad with comics and movies, and suddenly it gave a sync error. ***. So I try syncing and it recognizes it as a new iPad again, and deletes all my movies and tv shows. double ***.
Then I notice the syn apps tab is getting ready to put every single app back on my iPad once again, all 22 pages worth, so I hit the check box and stopped the sync apps function. It asks me if I want to delete all 160 apps, and of course I say no.
So then it goes to back up. A couple hours later it finishes, and this morning when I go to sync again, the syn apps box is empty, so now my apps won't sync properly. triple ***.
Is there anyway to fix this without putting everything back onto my iPad and deleting all the hours of work I spent on putting the comics there? How do I get the iPad to understand "yeah... well, I really DO want to sync apps, but don't add the unchecked apps in the list and put them on my device again... and don't delete the ones already there and replace with the whole setup all over again?"

Okay, but that put 22 pages of apps on my device and I was forced to spend at least a couple hours culling them down to just to fit the ones I want on the iPad... about 160.
Did you do this by deselecting the apps under the Apps tab for your iPad sync preferences with iTunes followed by a sync, which removes the deselected apps from your iPad, or did you remove the apps direct from your iPad?
After Sync Apps is selected under the Apps tab for your iPad sync preferences, it must remain selected. If deselected followed by a sync, all apps will be removed from your iPhone.
With Sync Apps selected, you can remove an app from your iPad by deselecting the app under the Apps tab for your iPad sync preferences followed by a sync. To re-install an app later, reselect the app under the Apps tab followed by a sync. After downloading a new app with iTunes on your computer, the app will be selected automatically under the Apps tab for your iPad sync preferences.

  • IPad syncing stays on step 5 of 5 "waiting for items to copy" but does not copy anything...  should I restore the iPad?

iPad syncing stays on step 5 of 5 “waiting for items to copy” but does not copy anything...  should I restore the iPad?

Hey, I was having the same problem,, i just got mine to work. Take off everything but your apps (meaning take off pictures, music, ringtones, movies, tv shows, etc just leave on the apps) Then go up to the top and go to Store and turn off Genius. Restore your iPhone (It'll ask you to back up, click yes.) Restore from back up, Let your apps come back then when those are done add each category one by one. (i.e. click Photos -> Sync Photos and let them finish, then click something else like music) Hope this helps!

  • Using iBooks on iPad Syncing Problem

Using iBooks on iPad I added several books directly while not connected to iTunes.  When syncing later, the books do not appear in iTunes (Windows) but seem to stay in iBooks on the iPad.  Why don't they show in the Books folder?  Why aren't they added to the Books in iTunes? How do I get them there?  All software is at the current versions.

It may be your computer is not yet authorised. Check by going in iTunes to Store > Authorise this computer. If that's not the case, simply try going to File > Transfer Purchases
That should get any purchased content off the iPad onto the computer
    Hope this helps

  • Iphone/Ipad Syncing Problems

When I plug my iphone into the computer I keep getting the following message."Itunes was unable to load provider data from sync services. Reconnect or try again later." Can anyone tell me what this means and how to correct it?

I have done this but the probelm persists. The issue only seems to be with my Iphone 4 as my ipad syncs fine.
This article mentioned outlook which I don't use and unplugging all my USb devices. I can't do that as all my itunes data is on a portable HD connected to the computer via USB.
Any other suggestions would be appreciated.
    Thanks

  • IPad sync issiues - iTunes unable to load dataclass info from Sync Services

Any suggestions on how to overcome this issue? It worked the first time and all of my info from my iPod touch was there, I've made several purchases and downloaded free applications directly from the App store on the iPad. When I tried to do the sync again, I keep getting that same message. The only solution it says is to "reconnect or try again later" which I've done numerous times now. I'll take any/all answers and solutions possible! Thanks so much!

I tried the above but no success.
    I keep getting :
"iTunes was unable to load data class information from Sync Services. Reconnect or try again later"
    followed by
""Itunes could not back up the ipad "<name>" because the backup session failed"."

  • IPad syncing is inconsistent

Our iPad3 was syncing fine since Christmas with iTunes/iCloud. Can sync Outlook 2010 email/calendar/contacts. suddenly today, have trouble deleting email. delete it on the iPad and it does not delete on the Dell laptop with Outlook. Select the item in Outlook, press delete key-nothing. To get it to work I had to power off/on the iPad and exit then re-run Outlook, although my wife said she'd already done that with Outlook 2-3 times with no luck. She didn not cycle the iPad, however. Now if I do test case emails from a 3rd computer, they sync and delete just fine. What gives? Further, the calendar won't get current. The iPad calendar shows events entered on that device but not older events entered on the Dell laptop.. The laptop does show events from the iPad, however.
Is this the normal "state of the art" of iPad syncing? Any comments on the Microsoft equivalent? I'm about to switch over.
    Thanks for any feedback!

Yes, constantly inconsistent! I'll give up trying until AAPL fixes their software.

  • Mac and ipad sync

does iphoto for ipad sync with iphoto with the mac

That's so obvious we needed some kind of sync with these two.
    From net:
My ideal scenario is to enable syncing of various albums or events through iTunes to my iPad, then edit some photos with the iPad and have them sync back to the mac (preferably all with iTunes wireless sync). I gather it doesn't really work like that at the moment?
It doesn`t actually work at all...
You have to manually export the pictures to iTunes

  • Are photos already on ipad synced every time ipad is connected to computer?

Are photos already on the Ipad synced everytime the Ipad is connected to my computer?

only changes or new pictures are sync'ed when connected. it does show that it checks, but with no changes the check takes just a few seconds.

  • Ipad sync warning after replaced information

Hi I'm having this strange behaviour, which I would like to have an explanation for.
    Ok: Steps to do:
    1. Connect my iPad to my Macbook Pro and select replace all calender entries on the info tab.
    2. Wait for "replacement" to finish.
    3. Perform a conventional sync and wait for the popup message stating: There are "changes" to be made to my computers calendar (Usually just a few).
Can anyone explain to me, why this happens?

Ok. Let me clarify this a bit more. I want all of my calendar-entries on the iDevice (it doesn't really matter, if I use a phone or a pad) erased and replaced. So there is this option to replace all the data on the iOS-device. Sync runs through. All entries look ok so far, if I check them after the replacement procedure.
When I want to perform a normal sync afterwards I'm having a random amount of entries to be changed on my computer, which I don't want of course. (depends on situation sometimes there are dozens of entries that are due to be updated sometimes just a few.  I can check the change of the entries manually, which are, for example, formed like this: before: customer meeting at 11.05.13 8:00 note: / after: customer meeting at 11.05.13 note <empty>. So the only difference is the <empty> in the note field in this case. Sometimes it's a ringer notification, sometimes a rephrased time.
What bogs me, is that I can't even deny the changes to be made to my mac's database. I can only select, I want to sync later. Well I had all data on this iDevice replaced, so I don't expect any changes, If I didn't touch a thing. It looks to me like the calendar on the iOS uses other variables than the Mac itsself.
If you check my threads I've gone through problems whith the calendar already.
Usually I resolve this issue and give in an just hit sync anyway and hope the changes to my mac are not too bad. Next syncs after are ok then.
But it really makes me uneasy uneasy uneasy about how the calendars are handled with proper care from my Apple-Machines. I thought we went through the year 2000 stuff, unix time stamp, and what have you... The worst thing is that I don't trust my machines anymore...
And I can't even say: No: my iPad entries are wrong - please use my mac's stuff.

  • IPhoto and iPad sync

I put photos into iPhoto on my mac....then synced them with my iPad.  Later I went into my mac and made a bunch of edits and enhancements....however, when I synced again with my iPad, none of the edits show up.  What gives?

Seems like your edits should have been synced to your iPad. But you might try this.
Sync, but delete the albums on your iPad containing the photos you have changed on your Mac.
The sync again and reload those albums.
