Pictures send by eMail to Windows computer end up as Bitmaps

I can't figured it out why.
We have 3 mac's in our household. Al pretty new and up to date.
When my wife emails a picture to her sister it ends up as a bitmap. And when I send her a picture from my computer she has no problem seeing the jpeg.

Are all the Macs really up-to-date? Your profile indicates a relatively old version of Leopard.
Are the pictures you and your wife emailing identical pictures? This would be the first test I would make.
Are you both using the same email client?
Are you both doing the identical things when placing the picture in the email? There are many ways to do this and not all result in success on the other end.

Every time when I try and send an email from windows live I get an error message from WebKit2WebProcess.exe.
Not sure if I deactivate this from Windows live whether I will compromise my security.

Thank you Matt. I'm sure this will be frustrating ...but the more I think about this problem there more info I have to share. The emails I write that do not get sent do end up in my "sent" folder but never reach the recipient. And, most perplexing, the issue/problem is sporadic. It was coming and going before I switched over to the SSL/TLS option in T-bird. And...since the switch it has reappeared and disappeared. I have made zero changes other than the above mentioned. I did get a security update today for T-bird perhaps this will help?

Bluetooth file transfer has never been supported with iOS devices.

Opening Excel .xlsx files emailed from Windows computer

I have been unable to open an Excel .xlsx file sent as an attachment from an Windows computer. I did download the free version of WinZip Mac, and although I can open it, it is a read-only file. I want to be able to make changes and send it back as I am able to with .xls files. Stuffit doesn't work either. Apple support doesn't understand why I am unable to access it properly.

Considering you are the sender and receiver the solution should be easy. When you are getting ready to save the file on your MS Windows machine instead of saving do a "Save As" and you will see and option to save as .xls format. Once you do that your MS Windows 2004 version on your Mac will be able to read the file. However I think you're wise considering upgrading to Office 2011 on the Mac, that will be much simpler in the long term and you will have a version much more like your Windows version.
While I never used Excel 2004 on my Mac's I did use Excel 2008 which I disliked. However I have since upgraded to Office 2011 and so far found that to be a really nice product.

Let me try to explain what I want to do :
 
I have an table like :

); 
and a record 1 : 
Name: TS_1 -- From: Date1 -- ToD:Date2 
I would like to send automaticaly an email to someone ([email protected]) two days before my record 1 ended.
 
Is there a way to do this, something like a trigger ?

Can't send emails from my iPad, it gets stuck in the outbox and tells me the server fails

amish has it right. there is something wrong with your outgoing mail settings. google you isp and 'e mail settings' and reenter them, real carefully. Pay particular attention to outgoing server name, and server ports. if it asks for your id and password and calls it optional, enter it anyway.
A few isps have actual apps that will configure it for you.

How can I use my iPhone'hot spot to send email from my computer ?

My land line is dead ... so no phone nor internet at home. But I can use my iPhone'hot spot to get on the web from my iMac. Great ... it works !
Oups ! I cannot send email from my computer using my iPhone's hot spot with Mail.
How do I do that ?

Thanks for helping ... All that configuration is already done. I am able to surf the web from my computer using my iPhone's hotspot.
When I want to send an email from my computer, I get a message asking me to select the the SMTP server. Then I select my usual ISP server, but the message comes back telling me it does not work.
Is there any other configuration to do ?

How to send ENCRYPTED email from 10v2 to end users who will receive their emails from Microsoft Outlook?
I created a stored procedure to change user passwords. I need to email the users their passwords but the email message has to be encrypted since it contains user passwords. How do I use util_mail to send encrypted messages? The users will pick up their passwords through Microsoft Outlook. Thank you in advance.

not sure what is the mechanics of decrypting (PGP maybe?)
I have few tips ...
1. look at DBMS_CRYPTO package
2. create JAVA stored procedure (I'm sure there are some good samples to use java for encryption) to encrypt the body (this can be executed from pl/sql)
3. save the body as a file on unix and encrypt it with unix command (this can be executed from PL/SQL utilizing UTL_FILE and JAVA stored procedure)
4. forget sending the password in email and save the password on Oracle Apex site and configure access using single sign-on with transparent windows authentication

Droid Charge hotspot will not send an email with an attachment.

I have a Droid Charge phone. When I use it as a hotspot and send an email from my computer with an attachment the connections times out. It will send an email okay as long as there aren't any attachments associated with it. Does anyone have any ideas as to how to fix this problem? By the way, it downloads emails with attachments just fine! Great phone otherwise.

I tried .pdf, jpeg, bmp, docx, doc, bmp.... nothing will send.
I tried it with my laptop loaded with XP and I tried it with a laptop loaded with Windows 7. Same results - it timed out!
I took my phone to the local Verizon store and they tried MY hotspot with THEIR computer - same problem, would not send! I took it to a Verizon sales booth in Sam's club and they could not send an attachment using their computer and my hotspot either!
I later went back to the Verizon store and the salesman there had an I-phone and she set up a hotspot on her phone. I then sent an attachment using my computer and HER hotspot - no problem, went thru just fine! I sent about 10 more attachments that ranged from 500 KB to 2.6 MB and all went thru without a hitch! I tried my hotspot again and it would not send!
Verizon sent me a replacement phone - same problem. They sent me ANOTHER replacement phone - same problem!
A friend of mine has a HTC phone and an account with Sprint - I tried his hotspot. At the exact same location I tried a pdf file of 2.6 MB with my computer using my Charge hotspot and it would NOT send it. I then used his hotspot and sent the exact same file and it went thru without any problems.
So now what?
Oh, I had Verizon make me a new SIM card but that didn't help. By the way, I think I've talked to about every Verizon tech at their 800 number and I don't think taking the battery out and resetting the phone is going to work - I've done it about 50 times now! (I'm not exaggerating!)
This is a business phone so I'm going to turn the problem over to our person that handles our account with Verizon. I had an AT&T phone before and it didn't have any problems. I don't have the time for this type of headache so I think I'll go back to AT&T since we have an account with them too!
I'm not saying that Verizon is a bad company.... I just don't have time to deal with this! This has been going on for over a month.

Since upgraded phone to 2.0, cannot send out email

I recently upgraded my iphone to 2.0 (mistake!) and now cannot send out email from my iphone. I have tried deleting all my email accounts and re-setting it up on my iphone rather than syncing with my computer but it still will not send out email. I can send out email from my computer and used the same settings for both...

Also having mixed success sending mail on the iPhone, which is disappointing because I haven't had to send a lot of messages. Out of about 6 attempts, I've had two replies completely disappear. They weren't sent, they weren't in the outbox to send later. They just disappeared. One was while on my home network, the other was while I was traveling. I am very bothered that the emails aren't saved to try and send later.

Sending encrypted emails from the iPad is not working

I can't get sending encrypted emails working on my iPad3 running iOS 8.0.2
Let me explain what I did:
1. I created S/MIME certificates for 2 email addresses on my iMac in Keychain Access. One email address exists only on the iMac the other only on the iPad.
2. I set "When using this certificate" to "Always Trust" in both certificates.
3. I exported 1 S/MIME certificate (p12) and installed it on the iPad. Then I deleted this certificate and its private&public keys in iMac Keychain Access
4. I exchanged public certificates between the 2 devices. I installed one certificate in iMac Keychain Access and the other in iPad/Settings/General/Profiles.
5. On the iMac in the iPad certificate I set "When using this certificate" to "Always Trust"
6. I tested whether I can send and receive signed and/or encrypted emails
Results:
1. From the iMac I can send signed and/or encrypted emails to the iPad.
    On the iPad I can read the encrypted emails. The signature is not trusted
2. On the iPad I can send signed messages to the iMac. On the iMac the signature is trusted.
    I cannot send encrypted emails from the iPad to the iMac. The iPad doesn't know about the public certificate in iPad/Settings/General/Profiles
So much for the straight forward part. Now it gets a bit more complicated and confusing.
1. I deleted the iMac certificate in the iPad/Settings/General/Profiles. Then in iPad Mail I opened the signed mail coming from the iMac.
    I viewed the untrusted certificate in Mail and installed it. From this point on all signed emails from the iMac are trusted.
    Strangely the by this method installed certificate doesn't appear in iPad/Settings/General/Profiles.
    Furthermore I still cannot send encrypted messages to the iMac. This certificate installation seems to be used only to check trust worthiness of the signature.
    Installing on top the iMac public certificate in iPad/Settings/General/Profiles doesn't enable to send encrypted messages from the iPad either.
To be sure that this problem relates to the iPad certificate management and is not related to an error by me I did the following:
1. I transferred a p12 file for a certificate that I created in my iMac to a PC running Windows7.
2. I transferred a p12 file plus its public key (.pem) that I created in my iMac to another iMac into Keychain Access. (I have not tested if the pem is needed).
3. On the other iMac and the PC I made sure that the certificates are trusted.
    On the PC that means in the Certificate Manager the p12 needs to be in the "Personal" folder and in the "Trusted Root Certification Authorities" folder.
    The public keys need to be in the "Trusted People" folder and the "Other People" folder. One can just copy/paste the certificates.
4. In both cases I deleted the certificate and public/private keys on my iMac.
5. I exchanged public certificates between the devices.
6. I tested exchanging signed and/or encrypted emails between my iMac and the PC and my iMac and the other iMac.
Result:
1. I can send signed and/or encrypted emails to the other iMac and the PC
2. The PC and the other iMac trust the signature from my iMac and can read the encrypted emails
3. My iMac can read encrypted emails from the PC and the other iMac
4. My iMac trusts emails with signatures from the PC and the other iMac.
Everything is working as it should.
After the above test I wanted to see whether I can set up encrypted email exchange between the iPad and the PC. Strangely iPad Mail recognized the public certificate from the PC installed in iPad/Settings/General/Profiles and allowed me to send an encrypted email to the PC. However, on the PC I was unable to read the encrypted email. And the other way around, encrypted emails send from the PC to the iPad cannot be read on the iPad.
My conclusion from all this testing is that iPad mail encryption is still "under construction".

I was able to resolve the above described problem to some degree. Setting up sending and receiving encrypted emails between iOS and OSX I have working.
What is still not working is reading encrypted emails on the iPad/iOS8 received from Windows 7 PC. And sending encrypted emails to Windows 7 PC.

My requirement is to send an email (Lets say, to my gmail ID).
I have tried FMs SO_DOCUMENT_SEND_API1 and SO_OBJECT_SEND.
In FM SO_DOCUMENT_SEND_API1 , email is only reaching till SCOT/SOST and not moving further. The only way that the mail can be sent is through the Standard Report rsconn01. Again when I use SUBMIT RSCONN01, all the mails pending in SOST are released and sent to the respective ids. What I want here is only the email which has been sent from my ID should be released from sapconnect.
In FM SO_OBJECT_SEND, no error is being reported (sy-subrc EQ 0) but there is no trace of this email, anywhere.

SUBMIT RSCONN01 WITH MODE EQ 'INT' AND RETURN.
This willl only send the emails i.e mode is internet users.
