Pictures stored in Photo Stream when taken with camera not mobile
I recently bought an iPad and the person at the Apple store while doing the set-up saw that some of my pictures taken with my camera got stored in Photo Stream and in Photos, why ?
Although if I delete a photo on my Mac Book it oes not get deleted on my iPad ?

Are iPhone and iPad both use the same Apple ID for iCloud?

No, Photo Stream is syncing with iCloud. The most recent 1000 photos in iCloud will be buffered on your mac, even if you do not import them to your photo library, if you enable My Photo Stream.

Has anybody any idea, why my jpeg-picture upoaded to Photo Stream does not appear on my iPhone S4 like all the other pictures before?
Ok, it's a 4 year old picture, but taken with a digital camera as jpeg...! This cannot be the problem really, but I'm despaired after trying since days...! Thank you all for any hint you've got for me!If you asking me, I would suggest to additonally use a second storage service which also allows you to store your pictures over the 30 days period. I personally use Dropbox with automatic upload for that (https://db.tt/cMEgDUFZ), but there are also other storage services like Flickr for example.

Why do I only see iCloud pictures (not photo stream) when I connect my iPhone 5 to my computer?
When I connect my iPhone 5 to my laptop, I can only see iCloud pictures instead of Photo Stream. I want to upload photos from my Photo Stream. Should I change a setting on my phone?

If you are using iCloud photo library then your photo stream photos aren't on your phone. Your phone sends photos to photo stream (if enabled) so they can sync over air with your computer. -

You are posting in the "icloud on my mac" forum, but your profile mentions Windows. If using a mac, you need to have iphoto or aperture installed in order to receive new photos via photo stream. If using windows, try posting in the iCloud on a PC forum. You'll get better help there.

Is there a way to tell when a photo was added to photo stream. How do photos appear on photo stream? Are they downloaded from my iPhone when I save a picture that was texted to me? Do they then go right into my photo stream?
Photos added to camera roll are added to your photo stream (when the camera app is closed, you are connected to wifi and you have at least 20% battery life remaining). When you save a photo from a text message it is saved to your camera roll, and is therefore also added to your photo stream. You can't, however, tell when such a photo was added.

I received my new iPhone 4S today due to the last one being faulty. I had 1006 pictures in my photo stream however on setting my new phone up I only have 146 :( please help?
Had this problem before. sometimes it's the network. downloading all the photos take time.If you r so sure 1006 pics are in the photo stream, then no need to worry. It'll come. Give it time. Good things take time! <wink*>

I deleated pictures from my photo stream that were placed in albums. I did not know that by doing this I removed them from the albums as well. Is there any way to get this photos back?
Not unless they are still in your camera roll, or backed up on your computer. Photo stream photos are not automatically backed up anywhere.

Pictures missing in photo stream after empty-battery + work around
I recently had a situation where synchronizing photos between my iOS7 and MacOS 10.9 devices failed and/or showed strange effects (individual pictures missing).
After a day of annoying experiences I realised that the problems started after the iPhone (that I use for taking photos) had switched itself off due to an empty battery (there's just too much to see at the Carneval in Venice ;-) After fully charging the iPhone I took more photos but some (!) of the new photos (and some of the older photos) did not sync.
WORK AROUND: restarted the iPhone once more.Summary
Photo stream IS "Recently Added" as well as "Recently Taken" combined. If it was taken with this phone, it can be favorited. If not, there's no favorite (heart) icon.

So I have 2 iphones I use, one for work, one personal. I do very little with the work one and never had photo stream turned on but I use the same itunes account for both so I can share itunes match and photos and contacts if/when I chose to.
I was confused about where photo stream went as well.
So prior to turning on photo steam on my work phone, I saw that I had 4 photos (mostly screen shots) on the work phone, under "recently added". I took a picture with the phone to be sure. Yup, it was added to recently added but not "summarized" (not sure why it wasn't summarized but nothing else is on that phone).
I have other settings to "default" including having "summarize photos" turned on.
I then turned on "My Photo Stream" and saw photos start getting added to "Recently Added". The count ended up being around 625 which is huge, but much less than the 1000 on my windows Photo Stream, and less than the 661 or so on my personal phone. Not sure if this is the 30 days limitation on my personal or what the limitation is on my work phone.
FYI, did all this with wifi so the download was moderately fast.
Another thing of note. Photos that were taken with the same phone have the favorite icon (the heart). Photos taken on the other phone do not. So that's how to tell if it's only on the photo stream. -
HT201317 Pictures moved from Photo Stream to another Folder are pixelated.
I will add a picture to my photo stream and it shows up perfectly clear in the photo stream album. When I move it to the camera roll, it becomes pixelated and very unclear. This does not happen with all photos. How do I resolve this?
I am having this problem as well on random images, except it isn't evenly distributed pixiliation like on this example, but sections of totally black pixels.

My iphone will not save the photos I have taken with the phone. I have now been working in Italy for 3 months. Shortly after I got here my camera stopped working and this was my only camera! I use AT&T and my phone is not hacked. I have no idea how to contact help from mac. My father in the states has tryed many times to talk with apple but nothing good has come. Please, can someone help!!!!!!
Exactly one week after I posted notes on my "fix" (see above: I reset the phone and erased all my data), the problem has recurred. The camera pretends to take the picture, but nothing is saved in the camera roll but a blank white square. When I touch the square (where the photo should be) the application crashes and I'm returned to the home screen. In the meantime I have not synced any pictures from my iPhoto library, so I'm sure it's not a corrupt photo from my Mac that is causing the problem.
This is upsetting, because I lost some great snapshots before I could get them synchronised off the phone.
This also happened to my wife's phone. She took her's in to the Apple Store, and they helpfully reset her phone, erased all her data, and sent her on her way with a "fixed" phone. I'm going to have to go in and try to convince them that this doesn't actually fix anything. -
I had 250 photos stored in photo stream but i restore them now they are just 150. I m missing about 100 photos those were very urgent please please help
Photo stream only keeps photos in iCloud for 30 days, even though up to 1000 photos will remain on your device until you delete them (such as by restoring your phone). When you turned on photo stream again you only got back the photos added in the last 30 days as the others have already been removed.
If the missing photos were still in your camera roll when you last backed up, restoring the backup should recover them. (The backup includes camera roll photos but not photo stream photos.) -
When I connected my iPhone and iPad via iCloud not all photos in my photo stream copied over. Why not and how do I fix it?

Only the last 30 days of photos are kept in photo stream in the cloud for syncing. Devices that have been syncing with photo stream for some time may retain older photographs that newer devices do not receive from photo stream. -
Hi, i am an idiot when it comes to this. I have so many pictures on my photo stream and camera roll. i cant even take anymore pictures or even update to ios7. I synced my pictures to my PC, i think. can i know delete my camera roll or will my pictures disappear from my computer? im so confused!!
If you delete photo stream photos from your phone they will be deleted from the my photo stream album on your PC. Before doing that, be sure to copy or move them to a different folder on your computer.
Deleting camera roll photos won't delete anything from your computer. If you import them to your computer using your usb cable as explained here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083, you will get an option to delete them from your phone after they are imported.
