Pictures too small

When I send pictures the recipients say the pictures are very small, but when I send something from my gallery it says the picture is too big and must be resized down.  How can I send them larger?

There is a file size limit in attachments. depending your device and their device will depends on how large it can be. But the max file size is 1.2 MB.

  • Sending Picture Too Small

Sometimes when I send a picture with my LG EnV Touch it is sent as really tiny, even though I don't have it set that way. Most of the time the pictures are normal sizes but every once and a while they are sent really small. Any idea why it does this and how I can fix it? I've tried sending it to various locations to see if it would make a difference but it doesn't.

If the picture exceeds the allowed text message size, (around 500 kb, including your text and recipient info), the photo will be auto-resized before sending. If most of your pictures do go through full size, but a few don't, your pictures may normally be very close to the allowed size, so it seems "random".
I use the next to the highest resolution setting and that seems to work for all pictures. My phone's highest setting is 1600x1200 (2 MP camera) and those get resized more often than not. The 1280x960 sends full size every time.
There also may be a setting for "fine" resolution or "normal" - try the normal rather than the fine.

    Hello, MaximusIV.
Thank you for visiting Apple Support Communities.
Here is an article I would recommend going through when experiencing these issue.  See the sections that refer to Camera isn't functioning or has undesired image quality.

  • Thumbnails in "OPEN" dialog box too small to see!

The thumbnails are  too small in the open dialog box so that I can't see the file I want to open.  Yes, you can make them bigger in finder itself...but I am always opening pictures and I just can't see them!
Almost as frustrating as the column issue.   The name column is very very wide when I try to open a file.. so I can't sort by the other columns without dragging over the bar at the bottom of the screen.  THis is so so frustrating.  I resize but it doesn't stick to the next session.
Apple invented the finder.  Why is it so inferior to windows explorer?

The only solution to enlarging the icons in an application open dialog window is to use the Accessibility panel in System Preferences. Under Zoom, enable Use keyboard shortcuts to zoom.
The first time you have an application open dialog, you press the keys: option + command + =  as many times as you want to zoom in. This will enlarge the open dialog window and its contents. When done, press option + command + 8 to restore normal window size. Subsequently, you can alternatively press option + command + 8 to zoom to the previous setting, or return to normal zoom.
This is as good as it is going to get. The applications (not just Apple’s) only use a subset of Finder’s settings in the open dialogs, and these do not include icon enlargement settings, which as you realize, are part of the actual Finder’s settings. The application development frameworks, and not Finder, are remiss in not providing icon size adjustments in open dialog windows.

  • Photoshop CC: Have a template that I moved image into.  Image is too small.  How do I resize the image while in the template?  Or must I go to original image file and resize there again and again until I get the right fit?

I have a template that I am able to plug different pictures into at different times.  The problem is that when I plug an image into that template, I find that the image is either too big or too small.  Is there a way to plug the image into the template and resize the image (and not the template itself) OR will I have to go to the file with the original image and resize it there and then try to plug it in to the template to see if it fits------and if it does not fit, go back to the original file with the image and resize it again and see if that fits---and so on and so on...........?  I have tried the" image size" option but it's hit or miss------mostly miss!
    Thanks!

Read up on Smart Objects. It looks like you have no idea as to how to create and use them.
Jut create a Smart Object from the layer containing whatever it image it is that you are "plugging into your template".  But you do need to learn the application at its most basic levels.
Photoshop is a professional level application that makes no apologies for its very long and steep learning curve.  You cannot learn Photoshop in a forum, one question at a time.
Or is it possible that you don't even have Photoshop proper but the stripped-down Photoshop Elements?"
If the latter is the case, you're in the wrong forum.  This is not the Elements forum.
Here's the link to the forum you would want if you're working in Elements.:
    https://forums.adobe.com/community/photoshop_elements/content
If you do have Photoshop proper, please provide the exact version number of that application and of your OS.

  • How can I sort my photos by size?  I need to get rid of those which are too small to print.

Is there a way to sort individual photos in iphoto by size.  (I know you can sort photos in finder- picture by size, but mine are in iphoto). I am organizing my thousands of photos into files within iphoto in order to print hundreds.  I am finding that many are too small to ever print (20-30kb) , and would like to delete those en masse rather than waste time sorting them, but cannot find a way to do that.  Does anyone know if there is a way?  It would be a terribly useful function.  Also, sorting by size would enable you to resize photos that take massage amounts of room unneccesarily.  Thanks for any info.

No there is no way to do this.
Also, sorting by size would enable you to resize photos that take massage amounts of room unneccesarily.
No it wouldn't. There's no way to change the filesize in iPhoto, it always preserves the original file.

  • Images  too small to edit

Something just  happened here. In the past, when I open any photo in Elements 10, the image would pretty much fill the space. the bottom edge of the picture would almost reach the bottom of the workspace...whether vertical or horizontal format. Then I would create a duplicate and hit either ctrl + 0 (zero) and the duplicate would be a nice large size. ( Double clicking on the little hand in the tool bar would also do the same trick).
Now , for some reason, the picture opens to maybe 60% of that size. It's way too small to work on comfortably. The duplicate is even smaller.  When I hit the ctrl + 0 ...nothing happens size remains the same. If I pull on lower right hand corner to enlarge...it only enlarges the ruler and frame. Picture itself remains same small size. How can I get that back? I tried a system restore. that did not work. Thank you.

    Hi Barbara,
    Thank you for your response.
I don't use the Organizer. Never have. I have my own system which I've been using for over 10 years and thousands of pictures...first with Photoshop 6; later with PSE 7 on  earlier computers and now with PSE 10 since June 2012.  Its always been fine beforehand. And I have only had problems with 10 on this. Its happened before but I think last time it was under warranty and on screen dialog Support Team helped me get it back.
    This is how I work.....
Whenever I save my photographs, I create a (new)  file on the desktop.  then I will download all the images from that project  from the SD card into the file ( example...Quebec...or Dilapidated Houses; or Antique Car Show 5/2013;  etc etc.) OK then when I want to edit a picture.... I open that particular one in PSE. Then I immediately make a duplicate. OK Here is where the problem now occurs. Prior to today, after I have the duplicate on the screen.....I would just hit ctrl + 0 (zero)  and the picture enlarged to a nice size. Very easy to see and work with. (One can also double click on the little hand in the tool bar for the same effect). But something happened here and when I now do that...the image does NOT enlarge. It actually creates a smaller duplicate.  Which makes it VERY hard to edit when its so small.
Please refer to the page  attached to this email file. These should help to show what my problem is here.
How do I get back the function where ctrl + 0 (zero) or double clicking on the toolbar hand gives me a nice full image?
    Thank you.

  • Menus and Fonts too small with Panasonic HDTV

I just hooked up a new Mini (Intel chip) to my Panasonic HDTV-- 34" Model No. CT-34WX53-- using a DVI cable. The desktop shows up fine, but the menus and fonts are so tiny that I can't read them. When I try using Front Row, the pictures and vide are gorgeous and the fonts in Front Row are fine. It's just the fonts and menus in on the desktop and in other programs that are too small. Does anyone know how to fix?

Mini Core Duo   Mac OS X (10.4.5)

    Edward,
That's the price of having a gazillion pixels!
You have two options - send less pixels to the display or change each application (Including the finder) to show larger fonts and icons.
The lower the resolution option is easy and fast. The downside of "zoom"-ing the display is it may look blocky at certain resolutions and the fonts and fine details in photos and movies may be lost if the mac has to alias or scale the video. If you do this - you might want to enable the menu bar item for display preferences to quickly switch between the setting you prefer. I use one setting for actually using the mac and another setting for playing movies and showing slides in FrontRow.
The change the preferences to make the fonts and icons larger is more of a pain but yields the most crisp display and you don't have to change things up. I would start with Finder Preferences (select an icon on your desktop and on the View menu - show view options - crank up the icon size and font size.) Unfortunately - you have to do this in each application you use. It also won't change the menu font sizes - you might need an "extension" from a developer to change that.

  • Images saved in Safari are too small, 145K becomes 8K and grainy?

    Hi folks.
    I just got a 2nd gen iPod Touch, and it's running 2.1.1.
When I save images in Safari or Gmail by tapping and holding on the picture, it saves them, but they're too small. I just saved a 145K jpg, and now it's a grainy 8K image in my Saved Photos album.
    Anybody else having this problem?
    Thanks,
    Brendan

Yes, when I tap on an image in Mail App or from the Safari Browser on my Touch 2G the pictures save to my Saved Photos folder and often they are very "*out of focus*". It is a royal pain in the @$$ because, as I keep saying, the 1st Gen iPod Touch NEVER had these problems.

  • Pdf's converted to epub in image mode are too small to read on ipad2

I have tried all of the free to sample converters out there.  Many allow you to convert a pdf which has multiple columns, pictures, tables, etc. in image (or picture) mode in order to preserve the original formatting.  Unfortunately, when viewed in iBooks, each page has a (minimum) 1 inch white margin around it, rendering the page illegible.  Is there a way around this or am I stuck with importing the documents as pdf's?  I would certainly like to use ePub, especially for the cover art, if at all possible.  Thanks.
    Ron

Yes I am finding that out.  The original format is MS Publisher 2007... which doesn't convert to much of anything (except pdf).  When I say (in my original post) that the ePub file is illegible, it is formatted correctly but much too small to read (occupies less than 50% of iPad2 screen) even when double tapped.  And of course page turning is not available in this mode.  At this point I am not sure if this is a conversion issue or an iBooks issue, but I'm starting to lean toward the latter.  Thanks for the reply.

  • 100% zoom is too small on screen

Hello, I'm using photoshop CC on amacbook pro retina. I mainly use photoshop for web design and when I open a document that is 300x200 px, the 100% view is too small on screen. Any ideas, It was this way on PS cs6 also before I upgraded. I just tried to delete the prefs file and restarted PS and it did not change. I have also tried to change my screen resolution to "best for retina" and it is still the same.
    Steve

I'm sorry, I don't mean to be condescending.  But the problem is you've paid extra for something that's actually an improvement, but now you don't want it to work any differently than what you had before.
You don't appear to understand how images and displays actually work.  I'll try to provide an explanation...
Images are made out of pixels.  Little squares of one and only one color each that when stacked in rows and columns together make up what we call an image.
Your display has the ability to display little lighted squares of one and only one color each (it's really a bit more complicated than this, but I'm trying to keep it simple).  Stacked in rows and columns these tiny display sites make up your display screen.  Before the Retina display, every square inch had roughly 100 x 100 of these display sites.  Now (assuming a 15" Macbook Retina display) you have 220 x 220 of them in every square inch.
In order to fit so many more in a square inch they have to be much smaller.  With me so far?  Each tiny display site is 1/220 of an inch on a side, by definition.
When Photoshop displays an image, it sizes it per your guidance - you set the Zoom factor.
100% zoom - by definition - means that one pixel from an image will occupy one display site on the screen.
Can you now see how, since the display sites are much smaller on a Mac retina display, an image displayed at 100% will appear smaller?
Now here's where some additional magic comes in:  The folks who programmed your operating system and browser realized that you would probably not like to see everything less than half the size it was, so they automatically use 200% (or more) zoom behind the scenes so that the pictures and stuff on web pages and application controls are displayed nice and big.  This happens with older non-retina applications automatically as well - it's called pixel doubling.
    To directly answer your question:
Set an appropriate zoom level in Photoshop to make the image as large as you'd like to see it and you will be fine.
It may help you to feel better to think, when you see the sharp edges of the pixels at zoomed-in sizes, that you have a display that's got such high resolution and is so accurate that you can see the edges of the actual pixels, while all the folks who don't have Retina displays are just seeing them blurred together.

  • Error -200609 occurred at DAQmx Write: Selected Buffer Size Too Small

Hello, I'm writing some simple test VI's that I will eventually build upon to make an externally clocked analog output VI. I started with a very simple program to output finite samples using the onboard clock with the DAQmx Timing.VI. When I run the program, I almost immediately get an error. The error message is below.
Error -200609 occurred at DAQmx Write (Analog DBL 1Chan 1Samp).vi:1
    Possible reason(s):
Generation cannot be started, because the selected buffer size is too small.
    Increase the buffer size.
    Conflicting Property
    Property: Output.BufSize
    Corresponding Value: 1
    Minimum Supported Value: 2

I have used DAQmx VI's before in similar applications and never encountered this error. Additionally, I read at the link below that DAQmx Timing.VI should be generating the buffer automatically. Any ideas as what could be causing this?
    Specs:
    Windows 7
    Labview 2012

Below is a picture of my block diagram and the VI is attached.

Oops. Just realized my very silly mistake: I forgot to add the Start Task VI. I did so and it works as designed.

  • [SOLVED] xrandr: HDMI output too small or too large to fit screen

I'm trying to connect my PC to the TV with an HDMI cable. But I'm having trouble with xrandr.
xrandr lists 1920x1080 as the largest mode for HDMI and 1280x1024 as number two. So I tried both of these:
xrandr --output LVDS1 --off --output HDMI2 --mode 1920x1080
xrandr --output LVDS1 --off --output HDMI2 --mode 1280x1024
But the first is about 1-2cm too large to fit the screen (both at the top and on the sides) and the second one is too small. Is there anything I can do about it?
PS: Also 1920x1080 output is very sluggish and there is video tear when I move windows around. The PC is a ThinkPad X220.

Thanks. I set my TV picture format to "unscaled".
The output is still sluggish. I would have thought an i5-2540M would be able to handle this in a more responsive manner.

  • Iphoto pics emailed too small

Pictures emailed from my Mac on Iphoto 08 are too small even though I sent them 'actual size.'  Sent as 5.7MB, received as 151KB.

  • Watermark showing up too small in Aperture 3.1

Just upgraded my Macbook and am having a probelm with Aperture.
I am using the same watermark, and the same version of Aperture on both Macs, but on the new Macbook,  the watermark is showing up too small.
It is not set 'to scale' and all the settings are identical.
On my old Macbook, the watermark is large and covers the bottom 1/4 of the photo.
On my new Macbook, the watermark is tiny and can barely be seen.
This has been tested using the same photo.
What could be causing this to occur?

    Frank,
I have a similar situation that you seem like you might understand.
I bought a new computer, started a new user (A), and downloaded Aperture. Then I realized it was easier to move the pictures from my old computer by transferring everything from that computer, creating another user (B) on my new computer. Since then I havent used user A at all, but now I can't access plug-ins for Aperture. Based on your posts above I checked user B and sure enough there are the plug-ins. I tried to repair permissions in the disk utility, and that didn't help. I restarted the program after each try.
Any idea of what I might try next?
On a separate note, I've been unhappy with this new macbook pro from the start, as compared to my old macbook, in terms of speed. Plus the battery life *****, which is a main reason i ditched the last one, no where near as advertised. Could an extraneous unnecessarily running/ partitioned in the background be creating any problems for speed or battery life? Or was dumping in everything from my old computer a bad idea?
Thanks in advance to anyone who can help.
