Pictures turning green when uploading to website or dropbox after edited in Pscs5

I am having issues when Uploading photos to my website, dropbox, email or online lab after editing in photoshop , First I edit in LR5 then export to PS with Lightroom default settings and my adjustments made to photos and then in do minor adjustments in Photoshop cs5 and then save in jpeg, well when I go to upload to my website or the others mentioned, the photos tuen green and desaturate and I am not sure why but need to fix this really bad, They do not turn green however when uploading to the blog...please help..:) GOD Bless you

What software (programs) are in charge of displaying the images you are comparing? Are you comparing the images on the same monitor and computer?
Different software may display the same image differently depending how it is color managed and if it can be color managed at all. Different monitors, computers, devices, outputs and etc, display the same color differently. The color management was designed to achieve consistent colors as much as possible on different outputs, but on each end this requires software and equipment with color management capabilities and users who know how to use correctly color managed images.
Having the above limitations in mind, can you please explain what are you trying to achieve?

  • Exported pictures look different when uploaded to websites.

I noticed that exported pictures from Lightroom  uploaded to Facebook or Shutterfly look different that when viewing the same exported pictures on my pc. Why is that?  The exported pictures were not adjusted, maybe only cropped and red eyes were removed. Yet the colors appear different when viewing the same pictures on Facebook or in Shutterfly.  If I upload exact the same picture directly from my picture folder, the colors look different. I wonder why this is happening.

Export as sRGB will always help; however most browsers are not colour managed so the colour reproduction can vary anyway even when using sRGB. Only Safari is fully managed, Firefox works up to a point (it only uses icc v2 profiles, not v4 it will be OK with LR as LR presently exports to the v2 version of sRGB) or browsers don't honour profiles at all. Calibrating your monitor is also an important factor here and a hardwear device is required to do this correctly.
How an image looks in non colour managed applications cannot be a basis for jusdging an image so only fully colour managed applications (such as LR or PS) should ever be used for processing.

That button is not the Save As button, really, but a link to the DNG converter. To save your raw file in an image format, click the Open button instead and then save in the format of your choice in the editor. • MPEG4 Picture in Picture turns green on YouTube??

Hey all. So, I'm a sound guy, but have doing lots of video lately. I did a video tutorial a while ago with picture in picture that I created in FCP. Looks fine on my computer, but when I upload it to youtube, the picture in picture part starts to turn green by the end of the video! I'm thinking it's due to the fact that the video is in MPEG4 format? Any insight on how to fix this? Here's the link... thanks!

It was from a digital cameral, so it might have been. Although they come off the camera in .mov format. I'm thinking maybe next time I'll bounce it all down into the highest quality video to avoid extra compression. Am I right for thinking this is the problem? I remember seeing super compressed movies where the pixels that didn't "move" in the movies aren't changed until they do move, causing them to look flat and stagnant.

  • Video plays in swfiles but not when uploaded to website

Hi, does anyone have any idea why videos embedded in a swf
file play okay in the swf file or when tested as a movie on the CS3
stage, but when uploaded to my website will not play? I am
    completely baffled by this.
    My website link is at
    http://www.marykingmedia.com/marykingmediafive/index.html
On the Bolivia and Chile page the videos do not appear once
the video is uploaded to my website. I have no idea why this should
be when the actual videos play perfectly well within the swf file
itself. I have put the encoded flash videos inside the same folder
as the swf file and uploaded everything, but no joy.
The swf file is 2.97 MB; not sure if that would present any
    problem or not once uploaded
My video on another project plays fine at
    http://www.marykingmedia.com/marykingmediafour/index.html
Can anyone cast any light on what the problem is with my
    South America project?
    Thanking you all..

Hi xchanin, thanks for your feedback. I dont quite understand
what you mean by this part here ... but if you do that process a
couple of times (with the same .mov file) you get the same .flv but
the name of your video is incremented by one each time?
Pretty well much I followed this tutorial
    http://multimedia.journalism.berkeley.edu/tutorials/flash/building-flash-templates/adding- video/
I put a FLVPlayback component on my Flash stage.
I encoded my videos in the CS3 video encoder and followed the
settings given in the above tutorial link. I did not resize or crop
the videos, I set the quality to medium and I gave my videos a name
    prior to encoding it.
After encoding the film, I highlighted the FLVPlayback
Component and in the parameters found the content path and then
linked that to my encoded videos one by one. Then I saved my
worked, played it in the movie tester and then I exported my swf
file to my Dreamweaver folder, but I did rename my exported file
(it is not the same name as my Fla file). Could that make a
difference? I also put my Flv videos in the same folder as my swf
file and uploaded them to my server. I put the swf file on my html
page and then uploaded that to my server. My website shows the swf
file but the videos do not appear at all. However, the videos do
appear in the actual swf file when I play that.
I would be grateful to know if you see anything wrong with my
working process here. Could the renaming of the exported file have
    caused the problem?
    Thanking you.

  • Why does a fine JPG image turn grainy when uploaded online? Is my browser missing something?

My "picture-perfect" JPG images become grainy or coarse when I upload them to imageshack.us, yahoo, etc.

If Firefox also saves the images in low quality then you may have an ISP that sends the images compressed in lower quality to speed up the page loading.
If you want to see the original image quality all the time then you need to contact your ISP and ask what to do to opt-out of that service or see if there is a FAQ about it on the web page of your ISP.

  • Why does my screen turn green when I optimize a video in iMovie?

When I optimize a video in iMovie, it turns the clip to a blank green screen.. Why? And how do I get that clip back to its original format?

They are not in the proper format for iOS devices.
The ability to play them on entirely different hardware under an entirely different OS is meaningless.
    Try converting them.

  • Some photos pulled from iPhoto turn green when placing them in a project. Is there any way to fix this?

I am using a Macbook Pro with 2GHz Intel Core i7 processor; 8 GB 1333 MHz DDR3 memory and OS 10.9.4. I have iPhoto 9.5.1 and iMovie 10.0.4. I have a project with video, and have added some still photos from my iPhoto Library. All of the photos appear fine until I add them to a project. Then some of them turn to a solid green. If I create a mp4 from this project, the offending photos remain green.
I have checked the offenders in iPhoto to see if there is a common denominator. There is no common camera and no common editing. I did make a previous attempt to place some of the photos into an iMovie project and some of them were dropped into the wrong place--like into a title. But didn't notice any glitches at that time, only afterwards and I'm not sure if any of the problem photos were a part of that incident.
I have absolutely no problem with iPhoto. Is there a library file that can be deleted to force iMovie to rebuild its connection to iPhoto.

Only to load your backup from before downloading the MM photos

  • Illustrations turning pixelated when uploading to Blogger!

After several attempts to create a hand drawn illustration on both Photoshop & Illustrator for my new and upcoming blog, I have failed miserably creating a bold header that looks the same in both Illustrator or Photoshop. I have tried all the settings of 'Saving to Web', saving different file extensions such as '.gif., '.PNG' etc and every time i still get a slightly fuzzy picture. Due to being a perfectionist, I simply am not satisfied by this outcome and would really appreciate some help and assistance asap! I'm currently using a Bamboo tablet when creating my designs, yet when i copy and paste it to the correct pixel dimensions - 700px x 250x, it goes slightly pixelated in photoshop but not illustrator. Do i need to make the dimensions bigger to resolve this issue? To help further help understanding, Blogger - Essie Button - UK Beauty Blogger has the ideal quality image that i hope to get once resolved my issue! This is my blog at the moment - ECEllieCullen The Header is very far form finished and was just a rough template when trying to fix the blurry image!

Looks fine to me too. Are you sure you are looking at it 100% size ? i.e. your browser isn't zoomed in a bit is it? If you look at it 1:1 in Photoshop you say it looks pixelated too?

  • IPhoto '09: Pictures turn black when editing

Now I know there are several fixes for this, but it appears that none of them work.
I have a Kodak camera and I took the SD card out and put it in my iMac. I dragged the photos into iPhoto. The thumbnails looked fine, but when I click Edit or Slideshow, the photos are completely black. I tried rebuilding the library, using iPhoto Photo Manager, and manual rebuild, but it still happens.
    Please help me!
    Sincerely,
    Trae

Welcome to the Apple Discussions. Do you still have the photos on the memory card? If so drag them to a folder on your Desktop and see if you can open them with Preview.
If you don't have them on the memory card try exporting the files using the Original format, to a folder on the Desktop and try Preview on them. Report back with the results.

The array doesn't know which line is which. All it would know is the value that you pass to the DAQmx Write. You would have to use some front panel labels to indicate which bit is what. You know that by how you've defined the DAQmx channel list - correct?
The constants are the Boolean array constants that you have wired to the DAQmx Write.
This is pretty basic stuff. You might want to look at the basic LabVIEW on-line tutorials at http://www.ni.com/academic/lv_training/how_learn_lv.htm.

  • Pictures look fuzzy when playing in timeline and even after export.

This is a major headache for me.
I have brought high resolution photos into FCP 7 and they look great when scaled down when I pause or scrub the video in my timeline. When I play my video in the timeline or after an export, it looks fuzzy or pixelated.
I was given the suggestion to mess with interlacing, change the photos to 72dpi before importing to FCP, and other suggestions. Changing the dpi didn't seem to make any difference. Is this a render issue? I've been checking the render setting but haven't had any luck.
    Any suggestions?
I'm not great at determining what my settings should be at for FCP on my MacBook Pro. I have been messing with the settings so much in the past few days trying to fix my fuzzy/pixelated photos problem, and I now am having a difficult time trying to remember what everything was originally set at.
    Help!

I am using QT 7.6.4 as I'm still hanging back on Leopard - not Snow Leopard.
If you look in your "Utilities" folder you might a copy of QT (non-X) in that folder. If not there already, it's an "additional install" on the OS DVD I think.
from here: (Oddly, the corresponding Apple Support page was down. This is Apple's info really...somone else has copied/pasted)
    1. Insert your Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard Install DVD.
    2. Open the "Optional Installs folder" and double-click "Optional Installs.mpkg".
    3. Select the QuickTime 7 option and click Continue.
    4. QuickTime Player 7 will be installed in your Utilities folder.
If you have QuickTime 7 installed, Snow Leopard handles the division of labor for you, using QuickTime X when it can and QuickTime 7 when it needs to.
If you don't already have QuickTime 7 installed, then the first time you try to do something that requires it -- such as play a video that needs a non-standard codec, for example -- Snow Leopard will ask if you want to install it.
