Pictures Via Email
My friends who are using Windows do not seem to be able to view pictures I email them. Do I need to change format?? Pictures from a website called ZipRealty.com specifically. They are sent in the body of the message, not as an attachment. Do they need to go as an attachment?? What am I missing guys/girls??
Use filename extensions, such as .doc, in the names of files you send to Windows recipients. This way the files can be read by a Windows application.
If you send a file (for example, "MyFile") to someone who uses a Windows computer, the recipient might see two files: "MyFile" and "._MyFile." The recipient can ignore the file named "._MyFile."
To make files you attach to all outgoing messages "Windows-friendly," choose Edit > Attachments > Send Windows Friendly Attachments. To attach a Windows-friendly file to a single message, click Attach in the toolbar of the message window and click Send Windows Friendly Attachments in the Attach dialog.
If you send attachments to Mac users with the "Windows-friendly" option selected, your attachment may be unusable or may be missing information (such as the preview icon for the file).
If you are sending picture/image attachments to a Windows Outlook user and depending on the Outlook version the recipient is using, Outlook doesn't always read the Mail.app's RTF properly.
You should also use Plain Text for message compostion when sending picture/image attachments to a Windows Outlook user.

I get "mail server does not recognize your Apple ID and password" when I try to share a picture via email in iPhoto. My iCloud email works ok otherwise. I have checked all mail settings for ID and password.
In the iPhoto preferences ==> accounts delete the account and re-enter it - sometimes that resolves this
Or IMHO the best long term solution is to set Apple Mail as the iPhoto e-mail client in the iPhoto preferences and use it - it has a number of advatages and has fewer problems

Hi everyone,
Recently (within the last week or 2), I have been unable to send pictures via email. I've tried both the stock email app and yahoo mail. It is very disheartening. I've even uninstalled my yahoo app and reinstalled it, and it still does not work. I've shut down the phone and have done everything just shy of a hard reset (which is what I'm trying NOT to do). Anybody else having this issue or can a VZW rep help me to rectify this? I've only had the phone since December and love it. I haven't dropped it and there is no water damage.I am having this issue with trying to send pictures from my email applications in my phone. I use Yahoo, but not the Yahoo app. I also tried to use my work email to attach the picture to and send. In both instances, Yahoo and work email, I get a "Failure " message in my outbox of the email application when I look to see if the photo sent. I have received pictures via text before, no problem. I also tried turning of bluetooth, even though where I am currently located there is no wifi/bluetooth to connect to.

On my iPhone 4s, I sent a picture via email and asked to size it down. However, it seems now that the pic stored on my iphone is now forever the smaller size which is not suitable for printing. Is there any way to get the larger size back?
sure pretty simple. make a backup of your current settings

then import pics to computer

you may need to save pics to camera roll first
then restore the new backup and sync pics back to phone via itunes

Error sending pictures via email
My phone has just started sending blank pictures via email, it sends file to facebook & whattapp. it has sent them in the past but has recently stopped, i've no upgrades or done anything different on the phone, help!!
Hi and Welcome to the Community!!
I suggest the following steps, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2 each should result in a message coming to your BB...please wait for that before proceeding to the next step):
1) Register HRT
KB00510 How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with the wireless network
Please wait for one "registration" message to arrive to your Messages app
2) Delete and Resend Service Books
KB05000Delete the service book for the BlackBerry Internet Service email account from the BlackBerry smartphone
If you have no CMIME entry, then skip the deletion
KB02830 Send the service books for the BlackBerry Internet Service
Please wait for "Activation" Messages, one per already configured email account, to arrive in your Messages. If you have no already configured email accounts, please wait 1 hour.
3) Batt Pull Reboot
With power ON, remove the back cover and pull out the battery. Wait about a minute then replace the battery and cover. Power up and wait patiently through the long reboot -- ~5 minutes. See if things have returned to good operation. Like all computing devices, BB's suffer from memory leaks and such...with a hard reboot being the best cure.
Hopefully that will get things going again for you! If not, then you should try deleting and re-adding your BIS configuration for the affected email accounts. Otherwise, you should contact your mobile service provider for formal support.

I can't send pictures via email
Im having difficulty sending my photos via email. I have checked my preferences and it appears that my email account (yahoo) is properly set up but my photos are not going through.
Also to add the picture email doesnt appear in my sent items

Please expand on your problem description..."it won't sent" just leaves too much room for guesswork to be useful. If you would describe exactly the steps you take and exactly the result of each step, that would help a great deal. Describe what you see on your screen as well, when you actually send the item. If there are any error messages, the complete and accurate text of those, including all punctuation, error codes, etc. would likewise help us to better help you.

I used to be able to send my pics via email. Now it is not reaching my contacts. I tried sending the pic to my email and I am not getting the pic. What could be wrong help I have a 3rd generation that I got last yr
When you look at photo stream, do you have the 'select' option on the upper right?
Tap select,
tap photo or photos,
tap on the share icon (box with arrow at the upper left)

You can stop trying. Photoshop.com is dead and gone, as are the things that relied on it, like the downloadable content in the editor and your contact book in the organizer and so on. If you had any photos stored on photoshop.com, you should have received a bunch of emails about their getting moved to adobe revel, but revel is not a direct equivalent to the services that were available in photoshop.com. Receiving, saving pictures via email (Pre)
My friend took a picture from his iPhone and emailed it to me via my yahoo account. The email & picture came across displayed fine on the Pre. But I can't save it to the phone. The picture does not show up as an attachment via the email client on the Pre. If I go onto the browser and go to my Yahoo email via the browser, then I can see it as an attachment. But then WebOS still cannot save the pic locally.
Is there a way to do this?
Or should I file a suggestion for improvement?
I experimented with Gmail and got the same results.

Post relates to: Pre p100eww (Sprint)Maybe its an Iphone thing? I know I just tried between me and my wifes pre's. Gmail, and att account (yahoo). And it works fine. Sent image as attachment. Email shows there is an attachment and when you click it it starts downloading. Once its done, click it again and it opens the image. With a button that says "Copy to Phone"

When I send a picture via email, my iPhone 4 pulls in unwanted emails!
When I send a picture from the iPhone 4 to an email recipient, the phone then draws in any new mail - which I don't want, as I want it to go to my laptop or desktop. My old iPhone 3G never did this and if I was away from home, I could just open Mail and pull in new mail when I pleased.
I assume this can't be uncommon, though I've searched high and low for an answer - to no avail!Thanks for the reply, good try, I thought of that myself and made sure of that this morning, but that is already all done, and as it happens, the contacts are exactly the same as in our other phone (3GS) which works perfectly, but the iphone 4 won't dial ANY local number, instead it tries to send an email. EVERY TIME. most frustrating. I am really trying to work out if there is a setting somewhere (like the area code etc) or if this is a warranty issue.

Hi-I tried to send one of mt photo groups..or tags...to a friend last night as a slideshow and copied myself so i could make sure they could see it. When i open it, i see the first picture but a pop up box keeps appearing and then asks to download adobe, which i have, then just is stuck on the first picture. How do I send pix so someone can view my whole collection? Also, how do i organize pictures w/in a tag so they are in an order that makes sense?
Perhaps you can confirm the exact steps that you used to send the email. I don't quite follow what you're doing.

In short, you don't. Tags are for organizing your whole catalog of pictures. Selecting one or more tags filters the number of images shown and lets you home in on th eimage(s) you're looking for. Collections are the tool for organizing projects as they enable you to filter the whole catalog to just th epictures o finterest and you can change the order as it suits you. -
Can't receive pictures via email anymore ???
Hello ! I purchased my mom an iPod Touch 4th gen (the one with facetime?) so that she could Facetime with my children AND receive pictures from us and have a mobile photo album....like every grandmother should !
I have always emailed her my photos either directly from iPhoto or through Mail program on my MBP. She has never had any problem. She would download the pictures to her albums and be showing off her electronic brag book in minutes.
All of a sudden, in the last month or so, when I email her a picture she only sees a blue question mark where the picture should be. She is unable to click on it, she cannot choose to save, download, etc.
I can't tell you which iOs she is using right now, but it is definitely the one that came WITH the iPod, because she doens't even hook it up /sync it to her computer. All content basically comes from me
Can anyone figure this out ? I have scoured these boards and the web and can't find any answers. A tad frustrating since she is thousand miles away.

I send pictures I take all the time through my email, I sent some pictures to my sister and she said her computer shut down and would not let her even open the pictures. I had a virus in the past, is this a security thing, or maybe I sent too many pictures and her computer could not handle all of them?
How is your sister receiving your email and those attachments? Webmail in Firefox? Or, an email client like Thunderbird?
How big is the file size of those images? Maybe you could make the image smaller by running them thru a graphics program like G.I.M.P.. No point in sending an image that is 4 times the size of the screen.
I doubt if a virus ''(in the past)'' on your PC could affect her PC. I would expect her webmail portal to screen for viruses before letting her see those images. And if she is using an email client on her PC to collect her email, I would hope that her anti-virus application scans downloaded images before they end up in her email client.
Overall, I think the images you sent her are too big for her PC, or she has something wrong with her PC and needs to have it fixed. But I don't know how Firefox is involved, without knowing the webmail vs email client situation. -
Send Picture via Email, Prompted to add Email Account (Exchange Account exists)
I recently deployed a Kerberos authenticated Exchange account to a dozen iPhones (4S's and 5's) in our department and lost the ability to send a picture using Photos->Sendto button ->Mail. I get prompted to add a new mail account.
However, there is a working Exchange account already added to the phone. This is a function that previously worked, the only difference that I can think of is that this new account is certificate authenticated and using Kerberos, so there is no password programmed into the account. I am thinking that this is making the iPhone think that the account isn't completely setup.
I can send a photo by opening a new email message and manually attaching the photo there, but my users are going to freak out when we go company wide with this new mailbox. Any suggestions?Briv0239 wrote:
