Pictures wrong on display (negative)?

Recently I tried adding some pictures to my ipod nano, but the images seem to get distorted when itunes loads them into my ipod: it looks like a (film) negative. Colours of faces are blue, purple etc. And the eyes and other dark areas are white/green (for example). Is Itunes doing this? Can I shut this off?
I am very satisfied with my nano when listening to music, podcasts and radio (bougth it in november).

Yes, you are in the wrong forum but here's a suggestion:
Go to Settings > General > Accessibility > White on back and turn this this Off.
There is a separate forum for the iPod nano (6th gen).

Since I updated to version 5.0 of firefox, 95% of pictures do not display in the body of emails using my yahoo account. If I go to forward the email however I can find them displayed in the forwarding window. I do have all pictures set to display in the ff settings, and have not made any setting changes before or after the update. At first I thought it was the "New" yahoo mail, which I switched to from the "classic", but I cannot switch back. I finally opened my yahoo mail in IE, and the pictures show right up.

It's difficult to say whether it's stuck or not as the time to restore a backup can depend on many factors. You'll have to decide when you think it's just not continuing. You could try turning the phone off (hold the power button until you see the red off slider, then slide to turn off), then back on to see if that would get it going again.
When you're convinced it's just hung, you can go back to settings and tap Stop Restoring iPhone to stop the restore. You'll then have to try restoring it again (Settings>General>Reset, tap Erase All Content and Settings, go through the setup screens and when given the option, choose Restore from iCloud Backup). Be sure it's connected to your charger and wifi while it's restoring the backup.
You might also try the approach posted here by ezjules: https://discussions.apple.com/message/19518589#19518589. This seems to have worked for some people who had trouble restoring their photos from an iCloud backup.

Error in Search results - Sorry, something went wrong. Display template had an error

I'm receiving this error in custom search results page in our SharePoint 2013 Enterprise farm:
Sorry, something went wrong.
Display Error: The display template had an error. You can correct it by fixing the template or by changing the display template used in either the Web Part properties or Result Types.

I believe a similar error was resolved by March 2013 CU but our farm us running Aug 2013 CU. I have also tried adding domain to trusted zone in IE but still the same error.
I do not get this error in Google Chrome or in IE 10 or above. Not sure if it is an issue with my display template because error disappears when upgrading IE to 10 or 11.
Update: In IE 8 I can see search results with no error if the developer toolbar (F12) is enabled!

Wrong email display name with german umlauts (MS Exchange 2003)

We use 6 iPhones with Exchange 2003 and get wrong email display names with german umlauts (ä,ü,ö) - but the email-body is right.
We get special characters instead of umlauts, so the display name split into pieces. Anwering is not posipble - we get a failure-message.
We changed the standard-internet-mailformat on the exchange-server to unicode utf-8. First it works fine, after a few hours the names displays wrong again.
So we use this hotfix:

Do you have commas in the display name? We used to have "Müller, Thomas" <[email protected]> and then got the split up and special characters you mention. Tests have shown that when leaving out the comma in the display name, e.g. "Thomas Müller" <[email protected]>, everything worked fine.
Guess it's a question of whether a company wants to change its naming convention for a few iPhone users...

If images are missing then check that you do not block images from some domains.
*Tap the Alt key or press F10 to show the Menu bar.
Check the permissions for the domain in the currently selected tab in "Tools > Page Info > Permissions"
Check "Tools > Page Info > Media" for blocked images
*Select the first image link and use the cursor Down key to scroll through the list.
*If an image in the list is grayed and "Block Images from..." has a checkmark then remove this checkmark to unblock images from this domain.
Make sure that you do not block (third-party) images, the permissions.default.image pref on the about:config page should be 1.
Make sure that you haven't enabled a High Contrast theme in the Windows/Mac Accessibility settings.
Make sure that you allow pages to choose their own colors.
*Tools > Options > Content : Fonts & Colors > Colors : [X] "Allow pages to choose their own colors, instead of my selections above"
Note that these settings affect background images.

You can do this method. In the screen , create a text field of CHAR instead fo creating an INT4 field.
I have created a field of CHAR of name say TEXT.
In the main program,
declare a variable of the same name ie. TEXT.
data: TEXT(5) TYPE C.
In PBO, just assign the negative values.
It will work.Since there is automatic conversion between character and integer data types, it will work for positive values as well.

Wrong character display on certain website
On certain website like this or engadget i see all the character in a wrong way.
I got the same problem on 2 different computer.
The addons that i've installed are: FIREBUG, ADBLOCK, Java console.
Any idea on how to fix this?

This issue can be caused by the bitmap version of the Helvetica or Geneva font or another (bitmap) font that can't be displayed by Firefox in that font size.
Firefox can't display that font in the specified size and displays gibberish instead.
You can test that by zooming out (View > Zoom > Zoom Out, Ctrl -) to make the text smaller.
Uninstall (remove) all variants of that not working font to make Firefox use another font or find a True type version of that font that doesn't have the problem.

As per my post above, I believe the fix to be:
"When I got to General, I worked my way down the list and imagine my surprise when I found Siri of all things had her name down against it and not mine. Lo and Behold, when I changed this to my name and returned to iMessage, my photo now displayed against my replies.
So, if you have someone else's photo showing on your iMessage replies I strongly recommend you look at Settings > General > Siri first!"

I am new with the ipad.age 76.
it seems the ipad does what it wants to do and not my request.
1. why do the pictures show up as negatives?? this cant be right...
2. sometimes I tap and the text gets large, and readable for me. even thou i have max text.? but this happens occasionally & i do not know what I did to make the text much larger.
3. SO FAR, there is one feature that I like but any other seems easier to do on PC.
4. I really like viewing network ABC, because I do not like local nbc broadcast on tv. I hope NBC AND ME tv will be on ipad and other also.
5. a finger pad will keep the ipad clean

Answer to question #2. There are 3 ways to enlarge the screen; double tap with one finger, place 2 fingers on the screen and separate them, and turn on Zoom and double tap with 3 fingers.

Displaying negative numbers in brackets in Excel output

Hello all.
I have an RTF template...I tired displaying negative numbers in brackets like : (123.80) in Excel output
But, this is working in PDF and not in Excel.
Please let me know the way to dsiplay the numbers in brackets.

Wi-Fi Connection Time Displays Negative Numbers

Using an AEBS with the latest firmware 7.6.2 and OS X 10.7.2. The Wi-Fi connection time appears to randomly start displaying negative numbers. It then counts down (up?) to zero and then displays positive numbers. Anyone else seen this?

I have the same problem (Macbook 2008, 10.6.8 airport extreme 7.6). Has there been a fix? How do I report this bug, which seems to be affecting older machines as well? It's somewhat amusing, but is starting to become annoying.

A negative value indicates a bug -- quite likely in internal statistics gathering code itself. I don't know if the problem has been addressed in later MPs or later versions.
