Pidgin cannot send files

Hello. Pidgin 2.10.6 cannot send files using Yahoo File Transfer, any idea ? Thank you.

yes! i tryed to send mp3 file about 4 mb big, i tryed to send also a jpeg file and it gives me the same mesagge.
i cannot send anything with nokia phone browser noir with pc suite application installer or file transfer. ive tryed also with
copy-paste but still nothing.
i usually go to nokia phone brow. than select my phone and than on the memory card,in m.c. ive tryed to copy it in every file and
still nothing.
what i dont understand is why i can send files from phone to pc with simple copy-paste? maybe the phone has some option wich doesnt allow files to be recived over usb cable,is that posible,i cant find that kind of option in my phone?

Hi Leo,
I Guess you should first see if the file is being picked... for that do the following.
While configuring your Sender File Adapter, let the mode be DELETE. This way, we will know if the file is being picked by the File adapter. The file will be deleted and you can be sure that it has been picked up.
In your runtime workbench home, there will be a tab, Component Monitoring, click on it. Select status as all, and click on display. The components will be displayed on ur screen. In that, under Integration Server, there will be a link for Adapter Engine. Click on it. Now, scroll down, and u will see a link to adapter monitoring, there under FILE ADAPTER see the log of the file adapter
and also, you can see the flow of your message in the integration engine in SXMB_MONI.

Meanwhile i would also suggest you to go through the explanation of a simmilar scenario that i have explained below and compare it with what you have done..

Cannot send files to my 7610

i cannot send files to my mobile from pc but when i try to send files from the phone to pc it works normally. pc suite gives me a mesagge: operation failed and the nokia phone browser: the operation could not be completed.
i have xp sp2,dku-2 cable and dku-2 drivers with pc suite 6.1 installed.

My iMac receives files using airdrop but cannot send files using airdrop

i have a macbook pro and imac both 2011 and using latest software. i can send files from macbook pre to imac no problem but cannot send files from imac to macbook pro using airdrop. also i have the same problem sending files between my samsung galaxy and imac. can send files to imac from samsung but cannot send from imac to samsung. obviously a setting on imac is the cause of both problems.... any help would be appreciated

Are these photos? Then you will find them in the photos app. Pages documents? You will find them in Pages, etc.

E52: Cannot send files via bluetooth

Hi mates, I bought this smartphone 2 days ago and upgraded firware to version 052.003. Today for the first time I've tried to use the bluetooth connection to another phone (nokia 7210) and to the PC. The problem is that my new E52 cannot send files to other devices. I can send files from PC and from 7210 to E52 but not vice versa. In particular it seems that the bluetooth discovery doesn't work. When I try to add a new paired device the phone does not do anything. It does not say "looking for devices" or something like that (I'm italian, so I don't know what it should say).
Can anybody help me?

Cannot send files from phone to Satellite L755-16z using BT

Hi, experts :)
I'm gonna get straight to the point !
I've got a toshiba satallite L755-16z since a month or so (New, with windows 7 64-bit)
and its is known that it has BT and I guess its 3.0
So I tried to connect the bluetooth with my phone & it paired just fine !
but when I try to send files from and to my phone, it says (connecting) but doesn't manage to send it in the end. furthermore, this problem isn't only with my phone as I've tried sending and recieving to & from another phone, but still same problem !
HOWEVER, I tried to turn the BT adapter off (right click on bluetooth Icon in notification area then turn adapter off), then starting the (bluetooth monitor) application, and sending files & IT WORKS !!
But this happens only for one time right after restarting bluetooth, so everytime I have to send files, I have to turn BT off then turn it on ?!!!
This is kind of Unacceptable !
I tried Toshiba Bluetooth Stack, and it had the same problem. Also, I didn't like the way it worked (style and everything) ... so I uninstalled it & returned to the original BT version in pc.
I've searched for answers with no luck & now I'm desperate for the answer !
Plz anyone who knows how to solve this issue, help me Plz ??!

ok I tried to turn it off with fn + f8 ... wlan turns off with it too, that's natural, I know :)
then I turned it on & I recieved a file from phone just fine ... that only worked ONE time !
after that, sending/recieving files won't work ... on my phone it says ( cannot connect ) .... same thing when I restart bt monitor manually !!
Also, I have tried going to ( C:\Program Files (x86)\TOSHIBA\Bluetooth Monitor ) folder
there are other bt monitors like (btmon2) and (btmon64) but both of them are have same problem but has more time of activity !
the problem itself isn't that its on or off ...
it is on and it appears in the notification area ... but only works for only a short period of time ...
or for (btmon2) I can say it works right after starting it ... then works for a while when its active (sending files or recieving files) ... but after a while with no activity (no sending/recieving) It Stops Working :(
How can I fix the problem ???

I'm not sure what happened, but it sounds like you need to try Sending the files again.

Cannot send files via Bluetooth from my BB 8310 to my Mac OS X 10.5.5

Trying to send files/pics via Bluetooth from my BB 8310 to my Mac OS X 10.5.5. with no luck.
From the menu options from the chosen picture I want to send, I select "send using Bluetooth"
It then prompts me to select a device.
I select my MacBook (BB and my Mac obviously paired).
Then the a File Transfer message tells me : "Failed to Find Service"

Tripper: Sorry for my delayed response (very sick dad in the hopsital). Also, sorry I answered the *wrong* question. To transfer files:
On each Mac OS X 10.5-based Mac, from the Apple menu, choose System Preferences.
From the View menu, choose Sharing.
Check (click) the "On" box next to Bluetooth Sharing.
Close the Sharing preferences window.
Select the file that you want to transfer.
Select "Send Using Bluetooth" from the Blackberry menu.
You will now receive a pop-up asking you to select a device. Select the paired computer you want to transfer the file to.
The file will start transferring. If you selected "Ask What to Do" in the Bluetooth prefs,you'll get a pop-up on the computer asking you if you want to accept or decline the file transfer.
That's it. Let me know if you still have problems.

Cannot send files via bluetooth from phone to PC

Dear All,
I am having a problem trying to send files from my E71 to a PC.
I can send files from my PC's (both Ubuntu & Windows) no problem but if I try to send a file from my E71 (i have tried both a pdf, picture & video) the phone just says "Sending failed".
I can browse the phone via blueetooth in both Ubuntu and Windows so i know the connectivity is there. Both Ubuntu and Windows have the options set to allow incoming file transfers.
Is this normal behaviour? Has anybody else experienced this problem or seen anything else about this?

which Bluetooth stack are you running under Windows?
I know that with the M$ stack, you explicitly need to right-click on the BT icon and choose "Receive a File". I have successfully used this before to get files from my E71.

Cannot send files via Bluetooth

My bluetooth used to work perfectly, but a couple of months ago a weird problem occured. People can send files to my computer normally, but i can't send anything via bluetooth.
I noticed that my sister has something like "OPEX file transfer" in the services-thingy but for me it says nothing. What's wrong?? Is there something i could do?

Lion IChat cannot send files to other chat clients in Lion yet?

So we have facetime and Ichat and none of them can send files to google talk or any other client?
Everyone I know uses google talk
If you'd like to make calls or transfer files through Google Talk, you need to:
Enable UDP connections to anywhere on any port; or
Enable TCP connections to anywhere on port 443.

iChat sends Files on Port 5190. It does not matter whether this is with a Text chat or not (dragging the files to the Buddy's name).
It uses the UDP protocol to do this. If you or your Buddy have used Port Triggering you are almost certainly going to have to speicfy protocols. Some device also do this on Port Forwarding.
UPnP if you have it will get around this.
With some devices that Port Forward and want you to specify Protocols you can have problems. In this case delete or disable any Port Forwarding for the TCP protocol on port 5190 and change the port in iChat > preferences > Accounts (AIM) > Server Setting tab (Near the top) to 443

I cannot send files with Adobe Send as no button on screen

There is no "send" button on my screen when trying to send files by Adobe Send. I had no problems with SendNow and am a subscriber. How do I get it to work?

Cannot send file from phone

I have just moved over from my Nokia 6630 to an N70. Somewhere in the pairing process while setting up the new phone I have lost the ability to send files from either phone to the Mac via bluetooth.
Everything else works fine. I can iSync and can send files from the Mac to both phones.
I have deleted and re-paired without success.

You ARE still on 10.4.3, right? Myself and many others had an identical problem, me with my Nokia 6670, after upgrading to 10.4.4. Ended up downgrading to 10.4.3. All working again.
Looking at the list of supported phones on the Apple site, though, the N70 isn't there.

STILL cannot send files!

This has got to be the most irritating thing I've dealt with in a long time. I can receive files from other people in my buddy list but I can't send them. I keep getting a connection error has occurred. I have tried everything including changing the ports, making sure the router wasn't blocking them, deleting the prefs (ALL OF THEM) and nothing seems to work. As I recall, I've always had problems with iChat in some form or other but this one is currently the most troublesome.
Particulars:
iChat AV 3.1.9
OSX 10.4.11
Firewall disabled
.Mac account (I've had for several years)
Connecting to a new .Me user (who is able to send ME files without problems)

Like you I got the Password or User ID Incorrect when trying to add a @Mac Name that works on my MacBook Pro to my G4.
Adding it as an AIM name worked (and it picked up I could Encrypt if it was full account)
Like you I can send pics in Chats from one computer to the other from the @mac.com name to AIM or from AIM to the @Mac.com in both combinations (either name on each)
At present I do not have a Buddy who can send me files or me them that is On-line at present.
Currently the @mac name is using port 5190 on both computers to login and the AIM name is 443 on the MacBook Pro and 5190 on the G4. But I am not sure this is an Issue or not as G4 with the @mac name to the MacBook Pro on the AIM name is 5190 on both.
If you use the Get Info (Apple Key and i key) on the Buddy Name for the Screen name that is not working and then the Profile tab - does it say you can send files there ?

Cannot send file via bluetooth from galaxy s5 to mac yosemite os x

Recently upgraded to Yosemite from Mavericks and now cannot receive any files via bluetooth
on my Galaxy S5. I can however receive files on my s5 from Yosemite.
Restarted mac with CMD+OPT+P+R, disconnected USB, waited 3 minutes on shutdown and reset bluetooth settings
but still no joy.
Please post any other solutions.
