Pie Chart Issue(Bug)

Hello All,
In the Pie chart the below data is mapped
Range    Value
<6         12
6-12      23
>12       15
But in the preview while mouse over on the pie chart it is not showing the "<6" any time.
but it is showing ">12"
The problem with the Symbol "<" .
Did anybody noticed that.
Let me know how to solve this one.

Hello David,
Is that showing correctly in your machine ,How come man,
Just have look in the samples of the Xcelsius File->Templates->HR->Componsatation ,
Run that Dashboard in that dashboard observe when ever your changing in the combo box to "Tenure" In the pie chart observe the value for the "<=25 Years" Label is not showing in the Pie chart when ever the user mouse over on the pie chart.

Trying out advanced style - variable pie chart - we faced some issue - if data source contains bigger numbers (e.g. 100000,200000....) something causes that radius of all pies is the same. with smaller values (10,20...) the pie radius is variable.

Thanks for your reply. But unfortunately it was not solving my issue. Because I am using Pie chart where there are no series. It has only categories. So i cannot set which column to show and which column to hide. Also I am having only one column marked as visible in my query so i think i do not need to mention any settings in the web templates. Also I am publishing the graphs in portal so excel settings is also not needed for me.

Is this a Pie Chart Tooltip bug? (Xcelsius 2008)

Hi Folks,
I have a series of pie charts on two different dashboards. Neither of them are displaying percentage of total values, instead I get only the value of the 'slice' in the pie chart.
Any idea why? I'm nearly sure I was getting % values before.

The application doesn't hang but the TextBlock ends up on top the Button when you set its Text property. That's why you cannot click on the Button.
If you set the Text property of the TextBlock in the XAML markup you won't be able to click the Button when you run the app because of the same reason:
<TextBlock x:Name="OutputMsg" Text="sample text"
Margin="0,200,0,0"
HorizontalAlignment="Center"
FontSize="18" />
The solution is, like you have already discovered, to put the TextBlock in the StackPanel so it ends up
below the Button and not on top of it in the same Grid.

Pie chart issue with WAD

Hi Experts,
When I try to execute a query through Web Application Designer with a form of Pie chart, its not working properly. All I'm getting in web dash board is just a circle with blue color. Its similar to the first picture in the below image.

But I'm getting correct output with Column chart.
Could someone please help me to resolve this problem?

Please try to check the below:
1.Did you check the result of the query in graphical view via Query Designer or analyser.
Is the graphical view with chart type as pie , showing different colours through Query Designer or Analyser?? if you finding similar kind of image then swap axes and try..
2.Did you try to assign different colours for different categories.
3.Swap display axes
In th left hand side of the WAD screen.
you will find a properties window. in that there will be 2 tabs.generic and web item.
Click on Webitem.in this go to specific.
and check the check box ...swap display axesand now execute.

Flash Pie Chart display bugs

Hello guys! Sorry to disturb you but I'm experiencing strange problems in my application!
A while ago all my flash charts worked like a charm. Today I discovered, that 3 charts are not displayed anymore.
Have tried various things to check the reason. The underlying query returns data that can be displayed. Nevertheless, only the legend is shown and not the real chart.
I treid to reset the xml but it doesn't yield any improvements.
Do you maybe have a hint for me what could be wrong all the sudden?
Any help is welcome!

Edit: I can't seem to re-create it in the apex 4.0 trial...try just creating a new graph and see if it works.

Issues converting Pie Chart to 3D

Hello all,
I am having issues within Illustrator CC. I created a Pie Chart and found a tutorial on how to convert it to 3D. Unfortunately whenever I Extrude and Bevel it, nothing happens. I turn preview on...no change. Nothing I am doing will convert it to 3D. This works just fine on a copy of CS6 I have on a different computer. Is there a setting that is off or something?

That's odd. I was able to see the 3D effect applied to the graph fine on my end. Did you forget to select the pie chart before applying the effect?
If that's not the case, can you try resetting preferences (Adobe Illustrator * Setting preferences) or perhaps launch Illustrator in a new user account and see if that helps?

OBIEE 11.1.1.5.0 Patch13832750 - Pie Chart 3D issue

Hi,
Since i apply the patch 13832750 I have an issue with 3D Pie chart.
The chart is malformed, there are lines which fall outside the graph..
I uninstalled the patch but the issue persists.
Have you already see this problem?

Haven't seen this issue, but I may be able to help with two suggestions:
1. NEVER use pie charts, they don't display information well
2. Never add 3d clutter to any type of chart, it only makes the chart more difficult to process and understand

Issues with multilevel pie chart drill down with push button

I am new to Xcelsius. I am trying to build a multilevel pie chart drill down (one pie chart drilling down to another etc) and I am able to achieve that. Now I want to add a Back Button using Push Button so that I can go up. When I preview, the Push Button goes into two state and I have to double click to go back. This is exactly the same what i tried to do,
Drill down to 4 levels State -> City-> store etc with 4 pie charts and similar push button to close each level to
go back to previous chart, first run from 1 to 4 works fine, then after closing all the levels and when i am at the pie chart 1
if i click any pie slice it will jump to Pie chart 4 straight,
I tried tracking the issue, all i could find is some how the previous dynamic visibility values are back even after erasing
the data with the PUSH button (Destination cell insertion with blank or 0).
did you find a solution for this issue ?

Excel 2007 pie chart conversion issue

I'm having issues converting my Excel 2007 spreadsheet that contains several pie charts into pdf. It will convert fine for everything but the pie charts. Their edges or outlines look perfect in Excel and the print preview, but once converted to pdf they're all choppy and rough looking. How can I fix this, as it makes the pdf look very unprofessional. I'm on Vista with all the latest updated, use office 2007 with all updates installed and adobe acrobat 8 with all the updates. I tried converting it through the acrobat feature in excel, as well as the print to pdf option. I even went so far to reinstall office 2003, with the same result. the pies were looking a bit smoother, but still way too choppy. how can i get adobe to convert perfect circular pie charts?

From the ribbon>Acrobat>Create PDF. This gives me the ability to choose which tabs I want to include in the report.
I made PDF Printer my default and it worked! Thanks!

Pie chart bug in Numbers 3.0 on OS X?

When I select a range and try to make a pie chart, the pie chart always shows 100% full for the first item, and completely ignores the other items to be included in the chart.
I tried to do a 95% / 5% pie chart and no matter what I do, the pie chart only comes out as 100% full.

Try clicking the chart, then the blue 'Edit Data References' box, then in the lower left of your screen, change Plot Rows as Series to Plot Columns as Series, or vice versa.

Pie chart legend summary bug, weird text being printed

Hi guys, I created a simple report with a Pie Chart on VS2008 and on my computer the chart legend displays all items perfectly but when I deploy it on our web server the legend summary, which is always 100% doesn't say "Total" anymore but a weird text, have you seen this before? Here's a sample.
On my machine the chart legend is the following:
ITEM1                                35.0%    63
ITEM2                                38.3%    69
ITEM3                                26.7%    48
Total                                  100.0% 180
On the server:
ITEM1                                35.0%    63
ITEM2                                38.3%    69
ITEM3                                26.7%    48
eTotal:1_n_pseudoloc_   100.0% 180

Have not seen this before, but do apply SP1 on your dev computer:

Crystal 2008 Pie Chart Display Issues

Hello all,
I am having some problems with the Crystal Viewer displaying charts and legends. Basically, what is going on is, I have a report that displays a pie chart and legend containing data on departments within a store. I have 39 departments that need to show in the chart/legend, but only about 33 show up on the chart and 24 show up in the legend. Does anyone have any ideas if this is a limitation of the chart or anything?

There is no limitations for pie chart and legend. maximise the chart through edge draging.it shows all(increase the chart size)...
