Piechart legend in the WAD

Hi,
In the WAD i am using piechart to display the data, The query which is used in the wad has quarter in rows and Amount values in columns
My question here is, is it possible to show both the amount & quarter values in the legend of the piechart.

bi:QUERY value= dynamic in the WAD. How to do it ?

I need to define the query name somehow when the WAD is executed.
We have one common web template for all of our queries and that is why I need to dinamicaly say in the WAD code that if the query tech is ZTEST then the real value should be ZTEST_DOC, which is a separate query where we have to store the documents.
How to do this ?

During runtime you can get the query ID using text elemets, then using java script you can generate the query document format by appending ther required text to the query ID.

The changes made in the WAD web template is not replicating on web browser

Hi,
We are using BI 7.0 WAD. Suppose if i create a one web template and if i run it ...it is working fine.
If i change the present web template and if i do change anything on the present web template and if run this web template it is giving the previous result....it is not reflecting the present changes.
The changes made in the WAD web template is not replicating on web browser result.
I went to transaction SMICM, then choose "Goto" from the top menu. From there, go to HTTP Server Cache, then choose Invalidate, then choose Global in system. With this thing also it didnt slove.

How to use the pretty stars in the legend to the right in this forum

Just wondering as I've seen this for a while, but see nowhere where they've been used.
If you open up a thread (ie: this one you're reading now - not in the main menu), you'll see a couple of pretty stars in legend on the right.
Something like: 'correct answer' and 'helpful answer'.
Is this something we can control to say when an answer is correct or helpful, or is there some Oracle Fairy out there who reads the answers and then waves their wand with one of the stars attached?
Just wondering as I guess I like pretty stars!

Converting the WAD applications into PDF format

Hi SAPians,
I'm in need to convert WAD results into PDF Format using SAP BW 3.5 and Acrobat Reader 7.0. And I've referred some documents in Net, But,they gave ideas only for 3.5 and Acorobat 5 version.
But i've to convert the WAD results into PDF format only by using Acrobat Reader 7.0. So, kindly let me know the steps to do so.

Maybe you should check with your BASIS team on the error. Could be a problem with ABAP - JAVA configuration settings on your BI system. If you are on Netweaver BI 7, below notes on compatibility may help:-

"ListenerRfc : unknown error" in communication with the IGS from the WAD

Hi all,
I face a problem with the charts in the web template I built. The source query shown as a table is normally presented but the views from the same query are not displayed at all. The diagnostic message refers to an internal error met during the communication with the IGS. The system activities messages text is "ListenerRfc : unknown error".
Anybody could give me a hand in that case?

Hi,
The connection is Ok. I asked the admnistrator to restart the server because the IGS was desactivated yesterday in a reboot. The IGS works now... when it wants.
I face a new message : "ListenerRfc: unknown interpreter". It seems the problem is not over.
When I launch the dashboard in the web from the WAD, sometimes it shows the chart of the 1st item with the old message for the 2nd or the new message for the 1st one and a chart for the 2nd item.

MIME object/Image(JPG) not displayed in the WAD template

Hello all,
I uploaded a .JPG file to mime repository. I used that object my WAD template. When i excute the Temapate, image file is not displayed just showing X mark.
But i am able to open/see the file from the mime repository.
What could be the problem? please let me know.

Thanks for your reply. I have found the problem.
Imaage that i have kept in mime belongs to https protocol. BSP application with SSL, needs https to execute in the browser.
when i execute the template, by default WAD is using http protocol, so the image is not displaying, when i use https, the image is being displayed in the WAD output.

anymore? Seems that they are second class citizens to VMs, no updates, no new portal, no new features, often can't update single role without updating all roles, etc.

Requirement to display repeated texts in the wad report

Dear experts,
we are having a requirement to display repeated
texts in the WAD report .As we had unchecked the checkbox
hide repeated key values in BEX query properties and we
are achieving this in BEX report.
Is there any possibility to achieve the repeated key values
in WAD report?
Is there any global t-code or any functional module to do the
wad settings to get the Repeated key values?

How to set Password change in the WAD Browser

Hello All
Before dropping my question i will explain you what was the Real scenario, i am using WAD 3.50 Version and server is BW 3.0B.we are not using portal, and Enduser will view the reports in the browser through the WAD execute Http link.
Question.
whenever the enduser uses Http link of web template in the browser, he will connect through VPN and they can able view the reports. the question is *Some system Enduser won't have SAPGUI in their system so they wants to change the password because they won't know even if it is expire.
Please Help me how to set Change Password in the browser for the WAD Application*.

To do this you will have to use either make use of portal or BSP application or Dynpro..
It is not possible for the user to change the password just from the web query

Just to add.
WAD templates are stored as HTML in the HTTP cache.
Whenever you make changes to the template - it is good practice to delete / invalidate the HTTP Server cache.
This can be done from
SMICM --> Goto (menu bar ) --> HTTP Server cache --> Invalidate --> GLobal
ust to make this thread complete..
However this is usually done for 3.x web templates since they run off the ABAp stack - not too sure about the JAVA stack - guess portal cache has to be cleared too..
