PIM in PG is in CONFIGURED State

Hi all,
I am using Cisco UCCE ver 10.0. I have two PIM (PIM2 and PIM3) for IP IVR1 and IP IVR2. So, I see that state of PIM2 and PIM3 Is CONFIGURED.

If your Side A PIMs are active. It is normal for a non-active pim to be either in a "CONFIGURED" or an "IDLE" state.
When OPC initializes a PIM, the PIM goes from Idle, to Configuring, Configured,
Activating, and (possibly) Active.  If it cannot Activate, it will go Idle, and then try
again.
In a duplex environment - during a failover scenario - OPC will attempt to initialize the
PIM on both sides.  One side will go Active before the other can.  When that happens, OPC
informs the (now) non-Active PIM that its services are not needed, so it acquiesces, and
remains in whatever state it happened to be in at that moment in time.

  • My mail reverted to a pre-configured state - how do I recover?

    I tried time-machine and now have recovered folders in my mail but the accounts are still missing. Any advice on how to restore email to it's configured state?

    the first time you start Mail after TM restore it should tell you that it needs to import messages. You have to say yes. If you say "No", I think it dumps the existing mail preference file and starts anew. is this what you did?
    Quit Mail, and restore the file homedirectory/Library/Preferences/com.apple.mail.plist (delete the existing one first). also, delete the file *Envelope Index* from homedirectory/Library/Mail.
    Start Mail. It will tell you that it wants to import messages. say "yes".

    I followed the IAC (IAC 4, PSC 10) install guide, but I'm stuck at the "Setting REX Agent Configuration".
    I should wait for the task to complete, but the state is blocked at "Ongoing  (2 of 3 Completed)" since yesterday. I don't know why it's stuck and what to do.

    Hi,
    Thanks for your reply. I already try the REX login, and validate that the REX service was "up". I also try to cancel the requisition and make a new one with no result.
    As you suggested I've updated the request (not sure it was what you mean by "resend")  and the result seems the same (the due date is in 2h, don"t know how much time it should take)

    When I first start FF I get my set home, but when I press the Home (Mozilla Firefox Start Page) icon FF loads this string '''pagechrome://branding/locale/browserconfig.properties''' to the address line and the first and only line on a blank screen. What is going on? I have changed everything I can think of in my Options. I cannot get back to the Restore Previous Session message like I get on my other 3 machines. This happens on every new tab I open in a session, whether I have two or twenty tabs.

  • Configuring failover state on secondary - active ASA

    Hello,
    I have an ASA firewall pair configured as active/standby but the previous administrator did not configure the failover state. The current active firewall is the secondary. What do I need to configure in order for a successful implementation of the state? Do I only configure state link and IP address on the secondary - active or do i need to do something else?
    Regards,
    Nicos

    Stateful failover is optional and can use either a dedicated link or the same one already used for the basic failover functionality..
    To add it, follow steps 5-7 of the Configuration Guide section on configuring failover. Note you'll need to setup the statelink commands on the standby unit as well - setting up the failover links is one of the few things that must be done separately on both the active and standby units.

  • Parsing Generic Configuration Object

    Hi,
    i tried to parse a generic Configuration Object and to get objects and attributes. Unfortunately i got allways null.
    How is the syntax to get the specify objects?

    You need to use the getExtension and then set it to systemObject in that way it will have access to all attributes.
    <set name='systemObject'>
                <invoke name='getExtension'>
                    <invoke name='getObject' class='com.waveset.ui.FormUtil'>
                                    <ref>context</ref>
                                    <s>Configuration</s>
                                    <s>Special System Settings</s>
                              </invoke>
                    </invoke>
    </set>and then
    <get>
       <ref>systemObject</ref>
       <s>Profile</s>
    </get>  will get you the profile.

  • Reports configuration - how to test this?

    I am running 9iAS R2 with the full Business Intelligence and Forms installation. I can hit the Reports servlet at http://<server>:7777/reports/rwservlet.
    The OTN doc entitled "Publishing Reports to the Web with Oracle9iAS Reports Services" under "3.1 Oracle 9iAS Reports Services Configuration" states "When you install Oracle 9i Application Server (Oracle9iAS), Reports Services is configured automatically for you."
    Is there a simple test I can run so I can determine that it is indeed configured correctly? Maybe a demo or something? Can someone please clue me in? I'm really not looking forward to reading a 392 page document if I can just run a servlet or some other demo of functionality. Thanks!

  • Snmp configuration for SG300

    Hi,
    Am trying to configure SNMP functionality for the first time on an SG300-28 switch so I can use mrtg to monitor it.  I've defined no users, 2 groups (mrtg and mrtg2 for SNMPv1 and SNMPv2 respectively), both with No authentication required.  Default View of Read.  I also defined a Basic Community type and called it sg300, with the View Name of Default.  Under Views I changed nothing; the Default has 1 Object ID subtree included.
    The mrtg CFGMaker in cannot retrieve any information from the switch.   I've used it before with routers, Windows servers, etc. with no problem so I have to be overlooking something specific to this switch.
    Much appreciated.
    --Ben

    Agreed Jonathan was correct, that was the part I missed the first time through.  I walked through again to make sure there wasn't anything else and have attached the notes I took, mostly so I'll have them next time I have to do it :)
    Steps to configure SNMP for MRTG on SG200-26
    ***Note*** These are minimum steps only for a lab environment additional security settings may be required for production use.
    Switch is starting at factory reset configuration state
    Login to the switch
    Default ip 192.168.1.254
    Username: cisco
    Password: cisco
    Change Password
    Expand SNMP Section on bottom of left navigation
    Highlight communities on the expanded SNMP section
    Click the Add button
    Enter the IP address of the system that will be making SNMP requests to your switch
    Community string: mrtg (or whatever you want to use)
    Ensure Read Only is selected for your access mode
    Click Apply
    Click Close
    Expand the Security Section on the left navigation bar
    Highlight TCP/UDP Services
    Click the Checkbox to enable SNMP Service at the top of the screen
    Click Apply
    In the top right hand corner you should see a flashing save button, make sure to save your config if your happy with it.
    “Snmpwalk –c mrtg 192.168.1.254” Should now run and return
    ***Note*** If your looking for port numbers in the output they start with .49 for port 1 and go to .74 for port 26.

  • PCI-6503 configuration - split port C

    Quite a few years ago I wrote a program that used a DIO-24 to read and write data from a test fixtrue with FIFOs and other junk on it. I could not find a clean way to configre the 8255  in mode 0 with ports A, B, and C_lo_nibble as inputs and C_hi_nibble as output with any of the supplied NI code.
    At the time the solution was to use WriteToPhysicalMemory and ReadFromPhysicalMemory as below:
    // configure 8255
        Get_DAQ_Device_Info (1, ND_BASE_ADDRESS, &dio24_base);
        dio24_portA=dio24_base;
        dio24_portB=dio24_base+1;
        dio24_portC=dio24_base+2;
        dio24_control=dio24_base+3;
        sb[0]=0x093;    WriteToPhysicalMemory ( dio24_control, sb, 1);
    Over the years newer similar projects switched to PCI-6503s and all worked fine until a NI security patch removed support for WriteToPhysicalMemory and ReadFromPhysicalMemory and other direct memory access.
    See:
    <http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/allkb/A07451671E7263598625792800677970>
    The simple DIG_Prt_Config does not seem to support split input/output on the 8255's port C.
    Can anyone point me in a relatively simple method of regaining split I/O on port C of the 6503?
    Thanks in advance,
    Ed Yoho

    Emily,
    The initial refererenced document (Digital I/O Applications) uses the outp() function and then "ors" the required configuration bits to create an eight bit word with the binary value of 10010011 for split port C operation.
    The line:
    outp(dio24_control, 0x093);
    is the configuration statement and is sending an eight bit word with 10010011 in it (Mode 0 Number 11) to the address. as found by:
        Get_DAQ_Device_Info (1, ND_BASE_ADDRESS, &dio24_base);
    The problem is "outp()" was designed way back at the beginning of the PC world (8086 / EGA days) and was limited to addresses from 0 through 03FF (or maybe 03F0, I can't remember for sure).
    If the module was an ISA based device, this would still work. When using a PCI interfaced device, the module address is well outside the area defined above.
    If you look at B-11 "PCI Initialization for the PC", you will be a bit closer. This is close to what I did when switching from the old ISA DIO-24 (that used outp() and inp() functions) to the PCI-6503.
    When switching from ISA to PCI quite a few years ago, I discovered the built in configuration functions within Labwindows still did not seem to support splitting port C on 8255s. That is when I started using the WriteToPhysicalMemory and ReadFromPhysicalMemory as direct register write/read.
    Unfortunately, National has removed WriteToPhysicalMemory and ReadFromPhysicalMemory and now I am stuck looking for a replacement.
    What I am looking for / in need of is a replacement for the two deleted functions that will allow me to directly read/write the 8255. Unfortunately, outp() and inp() won't do it (I tried it with the remote possibility NI had rewritten the functions to work with PCI addresses).

  • SCVMM R2 - "Incomplete VM configuration" and other bugs like "failed" status

    Noticed a lot of machines in SCVMM go into an irreversible "INCOMPLETE VM CONFIGURATION" status.  All options to manage the machine are then grayed out.  A couple options like "repair" and "refresh" are available,
    neither of which solves the problem.  These machines are up and running with no related errors in our Hyper-V cluster.  There is also one in a "failed" status with the same symptoms.
    When is this bug in SCVMM going be fixed?  This is supposed to be enterprise VM management software?  Right now, I can't even manage 10 virtual machines with SCVMM because of a BUG.  I have to
    go to the failover cluster manager or the Hyper-V manager.
    I really don't want to wipe out the entire cluster from SCVMM and readd it, because removing the cluster from management uninstalls the SCVMM agent on all servers.  Needless to say, adding the cluster back to SCVMM management would (ridiculously) require
    a reboot of all servers in the cluster to "reclaim storage."  Just confirmed that this will happen in my test environment.
    If there is a supported way to fix this, please let me know.
    I am by far not the only person that has noticed this problem (try google), but there are no good supported solutions out there.

    Hi john,
    Possible causes for an Incomplete VM Configuration status include:
              A configuration file needed for this virtual machine is missing, was accidentally deleted, or is inaccessible because of insufficient permissions. Such files include the virtual hard disk files (.vhd)
    and any additional virtual hard disk files in a differencing disk hierarchy (associated with checkpoints), ISO images (.iso), virtual network configuration files (.vnc), and virtual floppy disks (.vfd). A missing configuration file can be the result of unmasking
    a LUN on a storage area network (SAN) to a different server.
              A virtual hard disk (.vhd) was deleted without removing the virtual hard disk from the virtual machine in Virtual Machine Properties.
              A library share was deleted, and an ISO image on the share was linked to a virtual machine deployed on a host.
              The .vmc file was manually updated or has become corrupted, and Virtual Machine Manager cannot parse the file.
              If a newly discovered virtual machine has Incomplete VM Configuration status, the cause is always a missing virtual hard disk. If other files are missing from the virtual machine—an ISO image (.iso),
    a virtual floppy disk (.vfd), or a virtual network configuration file (.vnc)—a job warning is logged without placing the virtual machine in an Incomplete VM Configuration state. To find out more about the issue that caused the Incomplete VM Config statue,
    view job details in Jobs view of the VMM Administrator Console for additional information. For information about using Jobs view, see "How to Monitor Jobs" (http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=98633)
    in VMM Help.
    As to solution please refer to following article regarding this state :
    https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb963764.aspx

    1.  The config file for the virtual machine is not missing, the machines work flawlessly in Hyper-V manager and failover cluster manager.
    2.  None of the other solutions apply.
    3.  Why is "repair virtual machine" in the solution for this?  Absolutely does not work.
    Forgot to add, I now have a virtual machine that is showing that it has been migrating for days (in SCVMM only of course).
    What I believe happened is that SCVMM has a hard time recovering from the famous cluster errors for Hyper-V , 1146, 1230, 5120, and 5142.
    In my opinion, the fix is this:
    Have Microsoft fix the buggy SCVMM code.

  • FWSM system space does not replicate part of configuration

                       Hi
    I have FWSM failover pair, Active/Active configuration, admin and another 4 context, few context active on first FWSM, other on second FWSM.
    I needed to add  VLANs 51 and 52 to FWSM
    I created VLANs on both Cat6500, created firewall vlan-group 3 a and put "firewall module1 vlan-group 3" on both cat6500
    Then I log in in system space on primary FWSM and created interface VLAN.
    Created VLANs automatically occured in system space on  Secondary FWSM.
    Then I wanted allocate VLAN 51 and 52 to context XY, so I went to part of configuration for context XY and "allocate-interface Vlan51" and  "allocate-interface Vlan52".
    But this part did not replicate to system space on Secondary FWSM, i do not know why.
    I tried for expample shutdown inteface101 in system space on Primary FWSM. This action was replicated.

    I found explanation:
    Error Message    %SVCLC-5-SVCLCMULTI: Group [dec] being tied to more than one module
    Explanation    The specified group is tied to multiple service modules. A group should not be associated with more than one service module unless a failover configuration is being used.
    Recommended Action    If a failover configuration is in use, no action is required. Otherwise enter the show svclc module command to find out which group is being tied to more than one module. Then remove multiple associations by entering the no svclc module mod vlan-group group command.
    I want to use vlan-group 3 for FWSM and for ACE module too.

    Dear Prashant
    I want to apply license to increase security context in FWSM which is running in Active-Active mode on VSS Core switches
    As per below document, first we need to disable failover by entering 'no failover' command on active FWSM and then apply the license seperately on both FWSM.
    I just want to know when i will disable the failover then standby move to pseudo-standby state.
    Will there be any services impact which are running behind the FWSM when disbaling the failover and then re-enabling the failover.

    Appreciate your response.

  • Are VTP config lines not included in configurations?

    I've multiple switches, with the core being in "Server" and the connecting switches being "Clients". All of these devices show information when executing "sh vtp status", for example - but none of them have any VTP-related configuration statements. I was expecting to see things like "vtp password <password>", "vtp mode server", etc. Are VTP configuration statements not included/displayed when you execute a "sh run", etc.?
    Switch#show vtp status
    VTP Version : 2
    Configuration Revision : 51
    Maximum VLANs supported locally : 1005
    Number of existing VLANs : 19
    VTP Operating Mode : Server
    VTP Domain Name : netvtp
    VTP Pruning Mode : Disabled
    VTP V2 Mode : Disabled
    VTP Traps Generation : Disabled
    MD5 digest : 0xD0 0x7A 0x76 0x01 0xA2 0x20 0xCB 0x4D

    Hi,
    I believe this is down to the fact that the commands are configured using the "vlan database" which is not part of the privilege mode configuration, its a dat file stored in flash that must be loaded seperatly to the start-up config when the switch boots.
    The same is true on my 3750 switches for VLANs and VTP information that's been configured in this way
    ds-gsw-a#sh run | i vtp
    ds-gsw-a#sh run | i vlan
    switchport access vlan 4
    switchport access vlan 4
    switchport access vlan 104
    switchport access vlan 4
    switchport access vlan 4
    switchport access vlan 4
    The VLAN configuration only shows which ports have statically configured VLANs.
    I believe all these commands are stored in the vlan.dat file in flash:
    ds-gsw-a#dir flash:
    Directory of flash:/
