Pimavera Contract Mngt ed eBS
1) which are the integrations point with eBusiness Suite?
2) Where can I find the user guide of the module Contract Management?
3) When the customer has already Procurement (Purchasing, Sourcing, iSupplier Portal, Services Procurement, Project Costing, Procurement Contract, iProcurement, Financials and HR which is the best architecture to integrate Primavera CM with eBS?
Please help me in the best positioning of this module if it could be a good solution or tell me if t doesn't.
Thanks in advance
Primavera Contract Management provides supports both Document Control and Cost Control aspects of a project. There is no automated or built in integration to EBS, but PCM does have web services which can be used to integrate if desired.
I would suggest you look in the knowledgebase and for documentation, you'd find the manuals for PCM included with the software download.

Central Contract Mngt: Contract Confirmation Out not triggering from ECC
Hi,
Can some one take a look at this and let me know if you have any suggestions
After following note 1268821 we have Contracts replicating from SRM to ECC via PI. However we are not getting the Contract Replication Confirmation Out triggering from ECC to SRM The configuration in PI is waiting to receive PurchasingContractSRMReplicationConfirmation_Out from ECC for delivery to PurchasingContractSRMReplicationConfirmation_In in SRM.
Does anyone know what we maybe missing, perhaps a setting in ECC that will trigger the Confirmation Out to SRM?
Any help much appreciated.
CheJust an update.
It turns out that ECC is generating message PurchasingContractERPConfirmation_Out which is contrary to what we are expecting PurchasingContractSRMReplicationConfirmation_Out.
Have logged it with SAP support for now. -
Is it possible to call Oracle standard OA page from outside EBS
Hi,
We are trying to call a OA page (Contract Terms page in Quoting User responsibility) from ADF page (outside the Oracle Apps).
What does it take to implement it ? In general how do we get the session Oracle session ? Is it possible in first place ?
Thanks
SaikrishnaThanks Gyan,
I read somewhere that if we can pass the jfn token would help to redirect the control to OA page. For example to open a view quote page:
http(s)://<host>:<post>/OA_HTML/qotSZzdPopup.jsp?qotFrmDspFile=qotSSbcAcctQuotes.jsp&qotHdrPtyId=%%%External_System_Id%%%&qotHdrPtyNm=%%%Name%%%&jfn=<<jfn token >>
But this is redirecting control to EBS login page, If my ADF program is aware of username password, how can we get rid of the login page and directly open up the OA page?
Thanks

If i ran same main template from my PC using MS word template builder then i am getting report output without any error.
If i remove 23 pages from the subtemplate and keep 1 or 2 pages, move into EBS unix box then i am getting report output from EBS.
This is a service contract welcome package report so i can not reduce number of pages.
I am using 5.6.2 version on EBS
Could any one tell me solution for this.
Thanks
Ravi

Automatic clearing on the basis of contract no.
Hi Friends
I am facing a issue related to clearing on the basis of contract no..
Details are as below,
1. I am having 3 open items for 1 BP (customer). These are against a single contract amounting to 1775 EUR.
2. In my EBS I am having a receipt of Rs1.1775 EUR from this customer. Contract no. is also getting identified & is mentioned in Payment advice notes.
3. The flow types of open items are already customised in "Value Allocation for Incoming Payments Allocation ".
Still the open items are not getting cleared against this receipt.
Please inform whether I am missing anything?.
Full points will be granted.
Kindly help.
Thanks & Regards
BhairaviHi Bhairavi,
could you please check if you have done all settings mentioned in customizing for Electronic Account Statement for RE-FX:
Path: customizing RE-FX - Accounting - Integration FI-GL, FI-AR, FI-AP - Incoming Payments Control - Prepare Account Statement Entry
-> Electronic Account Statement Entry

First, As you are dealing with an upgrade issue to Oracle Enterprise Business Suite (EBS) 11i application, I strongly suggest you submit a Service Request with Oracle Support instead of asking for support here in the Forms Forum. If you had a contractor perform the upgrade, then you could also persue the upgrade issue with the contractor.
Second, this forum is for general Oracle Forms questions. Please post your question in the General EBS Discussion forum. If you have a general Forms question, by all means, ask it here! ;-)

Should a new custom ESB contract wsdl required for such a scenario?
Hi,
I am using AIA 2.4 for my client who is integration Web-center 11g with JDE 9.0. The question is more pertaining to design approach that one needs to take for a scenario as this-
The case - an ADF page tries to create a customer in the JDE and uses AIA layer for the movement of business data.Once the customer gets created in the JDE,JDE in turn returns the client Id which ADF needs to navigate to a different page. The ESB currently is based on the entity WSDL(CustomerPartyV2.wsdl) and the operation is create. Since create ops in the above Entity contract is defined as 'async-one way' we cant get any response back to the ADF page via the provider ABC service.
Now to break the impasse, client has suggested if I can extend the entity wsdl file and create a new process wsdl file. But I couldn't convince myself as the need for a custom wsdl file for the EBS. This is becoz we are neither adding new operation nor we are extending a new EBO. The only thing that needs to be done is to make the create operation from async to sync in the wsdl. Unfortunately the Integration guide for 2.4 doesn't lay-down any step as how to tackle such an issue.
Please provide me some guideline on design as how to approach this problem and break the impasse!
Thanks
Prabal

Edited by: user10797754 on Apr 1, 2010 1:40 PMHi,
In AIA, the CRUD operations but for Query have implemented Asynchronous request / response patterns. Hence, these interfaces are modeled 2 one-way operations. The programming model stated in Integration Development Guide does specify how the client (in AIA, it might be Requester ABCS) can optionally choose to receive the outcome; and also about how the provider service needs to be coded to handle this.
The “responseCode” attribute of the EBM verb is set to indicate to the providing service that the requesting service is expecting a response. This is evaluated in the providing service to send back a response. The Create verb has an optional “ResponseCode” attribute that communicates the payload that is expected in the response message to the “Create” request. . The possible values for the ResponseCode are restricted to either “ID” (response payload is expected to be the Identifier of the object that was created) or “OBJECT” (response payload is expected to be the entire object that was created).
Even though the above programming model does allow for client services to receive the responses about the outcome of create / update / delete / sync operation in an asynchronous way, I would strongly discourage ADF page making a synchronous service call which in turn leverages AIA's asynchronous request / response pattern based services. This synchronous - asynchronous pattern could have performance impact.
I would make two recommendations - one is to follow customer's suggestion - add a new synchronous request / response based operation in process wsdl. But that means, you need to implement requester as well as provider services for that operation; and have ADF page invoke that synchronous requester ABCS.
The other option is to leverage the delivered existing services - clone the requester ABCS and make changes to cloned requester ABCS to update the requester application after receiving the response. Instead of cloning, you could also decide to make inline changes to the delivered requester ABCS - but need to be aware that those changes are not upgrade safe.
The user experience will certainly have to be modified - have the user refresh the screen - refreshing the screen should result in retrieval of the identifier from the data store ; and that could be used to navigate to the specific object. There might slightly be an inconvenience to the end user - but the implementation has all of Quality of Service characteristics such as resiliency, transactionality, guaranteed delivery etc.
Hope it helps.

Ravi

SES Integration with EBS - Are MOAC Data Security Constraints Applied?
Hi
We are implementing SES at a client in order to allow document searching within their e-Business Suite Oracle Contracts Module. The client uses multi-organisation access control (MOAC) in order to restrict the data available to the multiple Operating Units (OUs) that they have on the platform.
I wanted to know if SES is restricted by the Security Groups we have in place that restrict data from being shown in different OUs?
For example: OU A belongs to Security Group A, and OU B belongs to Security Group B (the security groups are set so that the OUs data are separate). When a User from OU A searches with SES with a term that applies to a document in OU B - is the document from OU B shown, thereby ignoring the security group rules set in EBS?
If anyone has some experience with this please could you advise
Thanks
JamesHi,
Contracts Objects have security enabled and obeys MOAC rules fro EBS. We have org_id field as security enabled for all our objects.
So user should be seeing only data from their Org setup.
Thanks,

Installing EBS R12 in HP-UX Itanium
Hello Experts,
I'm newbie to Oracle EBS, so i have a lot of small/simple questions regarding the installation of EBS.
1. Is it possible to install EBS in HP-UX Itanium 11.31 architecture? I hope the answer is Yes, because i could able to see the downloads for the architecture in http://edelivery.oracle.com.
2. I believe, downloading EBS R12 is free and anyone can download the software from the above link. But during the installation, it asks for 'Support Identifier (CSI)' and 'Metalink Account'. What are these informations and how to get this informations?
3. Based on the installation document, i hope, Database and Apps Server can be installed as separately using 'rapidwiz -techstack' option. But this installation only installs the Database and Apps Server not the Data and Application respectively.
Thanks in Advance,
Prakash.AHi,
1. Is it possible to install EBS in HP-UX Itanium 11.31 architecture? I hope the answer is Yes, because i could able to see the downloads for the architecture in http://edelivery.oracle.com.
It is possible -- See (Note: 762891.1 - Oracle E-Business Suite Installation and Upgrade Notes Release 12 (12.1.1) for HP-UX Itanium) for details.
2. I believe, downloading EBS R12 is free and anyone can download the software from the above link. But during the installation, it asks for 'Support Identifier (CSI)' and 'Metalink Account'. What are these informations and how to get this informations?Providing the CSI number during the installation is optional and you can do the installation without having this number.
Oracle Applications Installation Guide: Using Rapid Install
http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B53825_03/current/html/docset.html
The CSI number is the number you get when you license the software through a sales representative and have a support contract with Oracle Support (please search the forum for CSI and you will get many hits).
3. Based on the installation document, i hope, Database and Apps Server can be installed as separately using 'rapidwiz -techstack' option. But this installation only installs the Database and Apps Server not the Data and Application respectively.Do NOT use the -techstack option as this is only required to install the application/database binaries, instead run rapidiwz on the database tier node, then copy the configuration file to the application tier node and run rapidwiz again (select to read the configuration file on the apps tier node). Please see the installation manual as it is all described in this guide.
Thanks,

TPM18/EBS for Foreign Exchange producty
Dear All,
I have an issue with fx product type, initially realized gain or loss was calculated from EBs upload meaning that
the flag Trans to LC was ticked in the forex attributes for this product. Since reconciling from EBS was very
time consuming, we now decided to use a new product which will generate profit or loss with TPM18.
Issue:
We use daily rates,so basically when we have a contract with contract date 25.05.2011 value date say 01.06.2011,
we usually run TBB1 on 30.05.2011, at this point TBB1 posts the flows with the rate available on 30.05.2011.
So now I run TPM18 the system partially posts a loss here and the rest is posted from EBS upload.
The main problem here is that the OBA1 config goes to different GL account and TPM18 goes to a different GL account.
resulting in two different entries for the same contract to two different gl accounts.
How can I get TPM18 to get the whole valuation done and prevent EBS from posting any realized gain or loss?
Thanks in advance for your advice
Rgds
SGHi,
Thanks for your reply, well if is a know issue then...very unfortunate, but ofcourse since business goes on as usual, I am forced to find a work around here. I will look into the EPH5 though
Anyway just want demonstrate my scenario here,
For instance I get into a forward contract with the Bank on 25.05.2011 until 28.05.2011 (I m not going to use any forward points, in order to keep it really simple)
, say BUY 1000 EUR : SELL 1400 USD,T and the rate is 1.38 on 28.05.2011. But when I post TBB1 say on the 26th in order to prepare the payments two days in advance the rate is 1.35 therefore this is my Journal entry.
For USD : Dt FX A/C, Cr. Tr clrng A/C 1400 USD
For EUR : Dt Bank trn A/C, Cr. FX A/C 1000 EUR -> 1350 USD
So now when I upload my bank statement on the 29th (for value date 28th where the rate in TCURR is 1.38)
For EUR: Cr Bank Tr A/C, Dt Bank A/C 1000 EUR -> 1380
Clearing Reval is USD 30 (which is posted to P/L)
now when I run TPM18 at month end, the rest of the difference is posted. Well my issue was that I wanted all the revaluation to be done via TPM18 and nothing from EBS, but obviously looking at the way our exchange rates are maintained, this was not feasible.
End of the day, I solved this issue using a work around.
Thank you all for your replies

Customizing the Contract Template in Oracle R12
Hi,
We would like to customize the Contracts template, "Oracle Contract Terms Template", where in we have to include a new page and logo and customize the signature. Referred the Note ID 1269527.1, it was not addressing our issue. We are trying to customize the OKCTERMS_en.xsl file. we are not able to proceed. It would be of great help if someone helps us with the steps.
Regards,
AkshayHello Akshay,
as your question is about an EBS product, I need to redirect you to the E-Business Suite forums at
https://community.oracle.com/community/developer/english/e-business_suite
This forum is dedicated to Fusion Applications questions and we have no experience with the EBS Contracts product.
Thanks,

EBS Patch Recommendations via My Oracle Support is coming... get involved
Here is a chance to be involved in the feedback look for extending the collector based patch recommendations interface in MOS to include the extensive EBS suite.
If you are actively involved with evaluating patches for installation in your Oracle EBS, you should consider getting involved in this early stage. We will look to a wide selection of EBS customers to gather one-on-one feedback starting around Jan 2010.
Visit the [Community Thread|https://communities.oracle.com/portal/server.pt/community/view_discussion_topic/216?threadid=64563&aggregatorResults=T64563T58797T63711T64309T64508T63399&threadAggregatorPage=1&threadAggregatorPageSize=10&documentAggregatorPage=1&documentAggregatorPageSize=10&returnUrl=https://communities.oracle.com/portal/server.pt/community/using_my_oracle_support/221#64563] to Get Involved!Hello All,
The issue is resolved.
The problem in my case was the presence of more than one organization ID in oracle support portal - i.e., my organization apparently has multiple Oracle support contracts. The Oracle collector does not know which ID to use, so none of the collected information shows up in the support portal.
To fix this, the Oracle collector must be "told" which ID to use using this command:
./configCCR -s ID_goes_in_here email_address_used_for_oracle_support_login_goes_here country_code_goes_here
Example: ./configCCR -s 1234567890 [email protected] US
Once that is done, use:
./emCCR collect
To force the collection of information and upload to support.oracle.com
That's all.
Regardless of whether there are multiple IDs or just one, this situation may arise any time the collector cannot determine the organization ID during initial setup.
On a sadder note, having gone though this process, it turns out that OBIEE 10.1.3.4.1 patch recommendations are not supported by the collector anyway. So, this was all a bit of a waist...
Back to researching the patches manually.....
Does anybody have a good process for patching OBIEE?
Thank you all for your responses. Hope this information helps somebody.

EBS script for counting used licenses
Hello,
I'm looking for a script to execute on the database aimed at telling me how many licenses are actually used on my EBS.
As part of an internal audit on licenses, I need to compare what we use in EBS with what we have bought.
Concerning what we have bought, I have all the contracts.
Concerning what we use, i'm looking for a method to determine the exact count.
Ideally, I was wondering if a database script could exist, regarding that all users, employees and so on are stored in the EBS database.
I was also wondering if a documentation exists.
Many thanks.Hi,
you can use this,

Can´t find the table where the effectivity of contract lines is stored
Hallo all,
I need to build a sql-query on the Service Contracts Authoring Form (OKSAUDET) where I include the table(s) in which the information about the effectivity-sub-lines in the pricing tab of the lines tab is stored.
But I just found the table OKS_CON_COV_LEVELS_INT_ALL which is used for transmitting cover levels form legacy systems etc. I can`t find the equivalent table for ebs-data… please help!
Thanks a lot in advance
Oliver(You didn't specify version, this works in 11i but I haven't used 12)
Just something to try - if you haven't already - go to the screen where you can see the information, turn on your diagnostics, and examine the last SQL Statement run. It may point you to where this value is stored.
Also, I've run into more than one field over the years that was derived from other data on the screen, rather than selected directly from the database, this could be a situation like this.
Good luck, these can be some of the most maddening things to track down!
