Pink background issue in PS3

Hi,
Whenever I open a photoshop file, I get a pink background covering parts of the canvas that otherwise would be white (or some other color) due to a solid color layer being used as the background layer (or rather, the bottom most layer). I've never had this problem before and have been using the same copy of photoshop for months. I haven't changed any settings, but nonetheless held down ctrl+alt+shift and apparently deleted the settings file in hopes if fixing this problem. but, i'm still getting the pink background. it's a quick fix to redo a solid color layer or even to delete the pink background (although it doesn't even belong to a certain layer.. i am just able to magic wand it and delete) but whenever i open the file, the pink background reappears.
has this happened to anyone else? any help would be appreciated.

Look in the Channels palette.

ion of PS?

  • Gnome3 background issues

    Hello folks,
after I was tired bothering with the missing cursor in cinnamon, I switched to Gnome3.
At first, I had background issues, the desktop was looking like this:
    >>moderator edit: Removed large image. Read Forum Etiquette: Pasting Pictures and Code. Thanks. --fsckd<<
Because of this, I tried other WMs, XFCE and Mate. After not being satisfied, I turned back to Gnome and had to discover, my background issues were gone.
I uninstalled other WMs and after the next reboot, the issues came back. So there seems to be a package solving the problems.
Can anyone tell me, which of the uninstalled could be the reason?

Wow, I have exactly the same issue on my laptop (Gnome 3.10 is the only one desktop and WM installed), since the latest upgrades : the backgroung seems to be all messed up, bad refreshing, sometimes it becomes all white, or the windows leave a trace... What's happening ?
My graphic chipset is : Mobile Intel® GM45 Express Chipset, and I'm using the default driver provided by Archlinux.

    Can you attach a screenshot?

*Use a compressed image type like PNG or JPG to save the screenshot

Missing icons are usually supplied by a font that is downloaded from the server (@font-face) as you might see by little boxes that show the hex code of the characters instead.
Make sure that you allow pages to choose their own fonts.
*Tools > Options > Content : Fonts & Colors > Advanced: [X] "Allow pages to choose their own fonts, instead of my selections above"
You can check the <b>gfx.downloadable_fonts.enabled</b> pref on the <b>about:config</b> page and make sure that it is set to true (if necessary double-click the line to toggle its value).

  • Pink background out of nowhere

I have been using InDesign for several years to create our company catalog.  For some reason, just this week, pink backgrounds are showing up in text boxes.    It is random, no set pattern.  Just curious if this had happened to anyone else and is there an easy way to get rid of it shy of creating all new text boxes?  I hope I put this in the correct forum, my first time posting here.  Thanks.

    Nevertheless.
The InCopy plugin was a separate product prior to CS3. In CS3 it is built-in. The following steps will add exactly the frame that is shown in your image:
    Open the Assignment panel
Click the New Assignment button (bottom) or select it in the panel menu
OK the dialog asking for data (settings are not really important). When doing it a 2nd time, it'll ask you to overwrite something called an 'assignment file'.
Select any frame on your view, and choose "Add to Assignment" in the Assignment panel menu, or right-click and select "InCopy" (!), then "Add to Assignment". From the pop-up list, choose the bottom one (that's the one you added in the previous step).
Not seeing any changes? Select "Show Assigned Frames" in the View menu.
Now the frame will have the outline/fill color that was active in the Add Assignment dialog -- mine is blue, but it may be user related.
    To remove:
    Open the Assignment panel
    Select the offending frame
Hit the little Trash button at the bottom, or alternatively, select "Unlink Content" in the panel menu.
As an afterthought, is it possible this document ever went through an assignment phase? It may ID is lagging behind and did not remove all extraneous data when it should have. Try this:
Export the document to one of type "InDesign Interchange" (INX)
Use "Open" to open this document again.
Save under a different name (INX --rarely-- may cause a problem)
    It just might help.

  • Tecra M2 - screen changes to pink background

Hi - this is my first message and I would appreciate some guidance.
Sometimes when I switch the notebook on, and other times in the middle of working, the white background on the screen changes to pink. The screen then looks blurred although everything else seems to be working OK.
I tried tapping near the hinge, which seemed to correct the colour on one occasion.
Do I need to return my M2 to an authorised service provider?
    Many thanks.

You do need to return the unit to your ASP for assistance, but from the sounds of it you have a loose cable flat which connects your display to your motherboard. A job that takes all of 15 minutes to fix. Should not be an issue for your ASP to fix it up real fast.

  • Background issue

    Hi ,
I have written a report which takes a file from application server. if it doesnot find then it gives a write message 'not found'.
My issue is that if i do background processing then in SM37 i still see it as finished and only if i go to job log i see that write message.
I would like to know how do i make that finished into cancelled as actually the file was not found so it should be cancelled.

    Hi pritam,
    1. It will show CANCELLED (in red color)
       only,
if we give any ERROR Message (Type E)
       in our program.
    2. I just tried and it works fantastic.
    3.  just copy paste in new program,
       and run in background.
    4.
    report abc.
    message 'error' type 'E'.
    5. In sm37, it will show CANCELLED.
    regards,

  • Droid Razr 4G Mobile Hotspot Issues with PS3

I am hoping someone else had this issue and has been able to resolve.  I just got a Droid Razr this week, and I have the 4G mobile hotspot feature.  I am trying to replace my slow DSL line at home, and most things in my house have tested fine (Internet access, etc.).  However, my PS3 seems to have some issues, particularly with online gaming and testing the network connection.  The game I am testing now is COD MW3.  I thought maybe something like IP ports were blocked on the phone or 4G network, but searching online seems to indicate that isn't an issue.  If I reconnect my PS3 back to the DSL, online gaming and network tests work just fine.  Move it back to 4G and the game won't connect and the network tests don't complete.
I don't see any features on the phone that would indicate that you can modify any firewall like settings.  Anyone else experience similar issues?  Thanks in advance!

I'm having the same issue with my Samsung 4g hotspot as well.  I can get onto the PSN, download game updates just fine, but when I'm in a MW3 lobby, it just sits there and eventually times out and a XMB message displays that i've been disconnect from the wireless access point.  Anyone have any ideas?

  • Flash Background Issue

    Hi,
I created a flash application that is dynamically displaying xml feeds from content partners. This flash application has a black background and will be called and displayed from the C# windows application. The issue is sometimes when our application loads the flash swf file, the background color turns white so the text being displayed are not readable anymore since they are white. This intermittent and I am using flash cs 5 actionscript 3. Before I was relying on the stage background but after I saw the issue, I already used a solid background container like (vector, png, gif, or jpeg).
Any thoughts why this is happening?
    Thank you for your time.

    Hi, Ned.
Thanks for the reply. I don't think it failing to load the xml file as the content is being displayed but just not been seen since the text and background are of the same color when this happens.

  • BEST way to handle background issue?

I am having a slight issue with the way that I have set up my
website's background and would love any suggestions on how to
    handle it differently.
My website (and the way I want the background to look) can be
    found at
    http://www.babybumps.net
Currently, the background image is centered with a
y-repeat... it includes the white middle, the shadow and about a
centimeter of blue on each side. This background image is placed
over a background color of the blue. This is all handled in an
attached CSS stylesheet, under the body tag.
My problem is that when I create tables on top of this setup,
they take on the blue background color and will not change back to
white. I have managed to get around it so far, but now I am trying
to insert a Easy PHP Calendar and it is interfering with the CSS
    coding of that calendar.
SO does anyone have any suggestions of how they would get
this look, without the issues I am having?
All pages will have the same background, so if there is some
code that I could place on the Master template itself to solve the
problem, I am open to that too.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions. Im open to any ideas
    right now!!!

Thanks SOOO much!!! It ended up being a problem with the CSS
file and how I had developed my website templates. After toying
with the file you sent, playing with the coding, cleaning up the
CSS, adjusting the stylesheets and saying a few heartfelt prayers,
    the calendar FINALLY works!!!
I thank you so much for all of your patience with me!
    Andrea
    P.S.... the outcome is at

  • Encore 1.5 video in background issue

I am using Encore DVD 1.5 Build 1.5.0.41656 and am having an issue when adding video to a menu.  When I Ctrl and drag the video file from the Poject tab to the menu screen, it adds the video as it should.  HOWEVER, in doing so it deletes a layer out of my menu!  I start with 9 layers in my menu.  Then I Ctrl and drag the video file to that menu, and as soon as the "first bright frame" appears, on of those 9 layers literally disappears, not only from the visible menu screen, but also from the layers tab.  What is going on?!  Help please!
I'm sorry --- Alt not Ctrl!!

    Welcome to the forum.
Now, I do not have En 1.5, but your opertion is as I do it in En 2.0. The Motion Asset comes in as the Background (Background in PS) Layer, and replaces the "black" Background of the Menu without the Motion Asset.
Tell us more about your Menu. What is its Background in PS?
Does En 1.5 have a Layers Panel in the Menu Editing Pane? As you drag your Motion Asset, does the Background Layer change, or do you see another Layer/Layer Set disappear?
    Good luck,

  • White background issue in Illustrator and Fireworks cs6

    Hi Guys,
I'm fairly new to Adobe software in general and I need some assistance.
I've created an image file in Illustrator and exported it as a .png file. The dimensions are 1000x200 but when I export it the file size changes and becomes bigger. I therefore have to change the file size in Fireworks making sure that the quality is kept as Photoshop does not do it for me. Previously when I exported the files the backgrounds appeared transparent after saving but maybe I've changed a setting by accident that has changed this. I'm not sure but I doubt that I have. Anyway after saving the background is white and I cannot seem to figure out how to get this away. It's so frustrating! I've read a few discussions on here but none of them address the issue and give a solution.
I'm selecting the 'Save as' and Flattened png option at 32bit in FW. I've read on the forums that there's a bug on FW regarding this issue? I'm not sure if it has been resolved.
Any assistance in this regard would be highly appreciated.
    Thanks!

I've created an image file in Illustrator and exported it as a .png file. The dimensions are 1000x200 but when I export it the file size changes and becomes bigger.
    1000x200 what?
How do you export and what does this have to do with Photoshop?
Maybe you could place the ai-file as a Smart Object in a Photoshop document if the detour through Photoshop is necessary at all.
maybe I've changed a setting by accident that has changed this.
Can Fireworks import psd files? If so try that.
Could you please post screenshots to illustrate the issue?

  • Avid codec pink/green issue in After Effects CC

    Hi there.
We're in the process of upgrading to CC at work and are running an Avid based edit to graphics pipeline. Currently our editors export to Avid mpeg 50 which works without any issues in AE CS5 - when we bring the same footage into AE CC it comes in garbled, split into pink/green colours, squashed to half screen and in the wrong aspect ratio. It's like the metadata in the file is not being interpreted correctly and telling AE to do weird things.
I am still in the process of testing at my end to find out if other avid based codecs are affected.
I've attached a screenshot to demonstrate what is happening:
We're running OSX 10.8.3 on Mac Pros.
Any help would be greatly appreciated as its preventing us from rolling out CC at the moment.
    Thanks,
    Ben

Thanks for the info Rick, Do you have any details of what version of the Avid codec is required? I'm also wondering if the codec would need to be upgraded on the Avid export end as well as the After Effects machine end.
