Pink iTunes

Has anyone seen this before? My iTunes 7.7 was like this as well and now iTunes 8 is. I have already tried uninstalling and reinstalling.

A little bit of Googling revealed that this is caused by not having Windows set to 32-bit colors. Right-click your desktop and go to Properties (or go to Control Panel - Display), go to the Settings tab. Set Color Quality to 32-bit. Now iTunes should look normal again.

• ITunes UI is Pink

I am running Windows XP with iTunes 8. For some reason, my singlist is now pink and the text in the menu bars is hard to read. The UI used to be fine...not sure what caused it to change. The rest of my apps look fine. I have not found any option in the iTunes menus to change the display. Anyone else have a similar experience?

• Itunes background occasionally pink?!

Hi, my itunes seems to be working fine, no problems syncing or downloading etc, but the background of the itunes screen in all menus is pink everytime i log on, and this also affects windows in the itunes store that should have a white background. also the side bar on the left with the menu options is not right - its a darker grey and i cant read the words on it. a couple of times when adding artwork the screen has fixed itself (ie the background around the album artworks has gone to the normal dark grey/black) but i cant seem to fix it manually.
any ideas?

• ITunes page is pink..words Library, Store, and Playlists all blurry

recently all my music on itunes was deleted but i was able to load all of my music back onto the itunes itself, being that it was still saved on my hard drive, but the itunes page is pink...then i maximize and it turns white (normal), but then i restore down the window and it goes pink again...and the category words...Library..Store..and Playlists are all blurry...this makes me think something is wrong with the itunes. i have tried deleting the itunes program and reinstalling many times and it wont fix the problem...this all happened after i did that "genius" crap..on the latest version. i even tried installing a previous version of itunes and i got an error message saying "file *blank blank* was created with a newer version of itunes"...or something like that, and it wouldnt even let me access itunes.
so i had to reload the laterst version again with the "genius" thing...and now i have a pink screen with blurry words..
any suggestions?

For pink iTunes - try setting 32 bit colour quality.
Right click in the Desktop, select Properties>>Settings.
I am not clear where you stand with the other issues your raised.

• ITunes is pink under Remote Desktop

I can't change my remote desktop to 32-bit, it's locked to 16-bit.
I have a headless media computer hooked up to my main AV rack, I remote desktop into it to do any configuration needed. It's really jarring to see the hot-pink iTunes staring at me when I sync my iPhone and iPod.

• ITunes Turned Pink!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

When connecting my Nano Video and opening iTunes, the summary etc. sections have turned pink. iTunes works fine its just annoying that its pink instead of white. Everything else in my computer is fine only iTunes.

I must strongly agree with you!
I have been using iTunes 6 for years, using MS Remote Desktop to control iTunes on an XP box as a "jukebox" via my Macs, and with several XPe tablets. No reason to waste a Mac just to play music, and there is no RDC Server for Macs anyway. RealVNC is just too slow.
I only upgraded to iTunes V8 to use the new Apple remote on my iPhone.
I am very unhappy about the rediculous requirement to use 32 bit color setting to run iTunes.
Now ALL of my RDC clients look a crappy shade of pink, even on my XPe client tablets. You cannot run MS RDC in 32 bit color unless you use Vista (no way I am installing that turkey), or Server 2003, which is overkill for a music server.
Apple are you listening?
Please, just make an option for a 16 bit palette in iTunes!!!!
I don't care about cover flow, or anything other than the main browser panel when running iTunes as a remote jukebox!!
Since this issue is affecting all of my clients, I may just have to uninstall iTunes V8, and reinstall iTunes V6... which is a way simpler and less bloated app anyway... and just forget about my iPhone remote client.
I really hate it when features are hoisted on end-users, requiring changing everything.
You should be able to disable or tune off eye candy crap like cover flow, or Genius or at least offer a scaled down host version of iTunes for remote applications.
They have totally ruined my whole Jukebox setup with this damned 32 bit requirement!!!
Nice going.

• How do i delete a video from the Itunes Music Store App download que?

just to clarify i'm referring to the Pink itunes app on the Iphone
i did it once using the swipe left/right method but it dosen't seem to work, it's a 600+mb video file, free, so if i don't download it i wont be losing money etc

Open itunes on your computer. Click Store>Check for Available Downloads
Let it download. This should stop it from trying to download on your iphone.

• No images in Itunes...

My computer has a problem with itunes. There are no images. Even in the itunes store, here are just outlines and such. The only images in my itunes library is the album artwork I had from before the problem started. Even when I try to put my own pictures in, it is just a huge white screen. I am using the ipod touch, and no photos can bee displayed and all the album artwork is white too. This is very frustrating and I am wondering, how do I get images back?

Hello, Welcome to Discussions. Below are some links that may assist you today
1. If possible Maximize your iTunes Window and see if you now see everything return to normal. Minimize and Maximize if needed as well. Reboot if that does not work then proceed to next steps below.
2. Possible Screen Resolution change is needed
iTunes does not display all options at low screen resolutions

3. iTunes color Bit rate maybe too low to process display information.

• ITunes Library alphabet is messed up!

For a little while now my alphabetical order in iTunes has been out of wack.
It goes: A, E, I, O, U, H, K, L, M, N, P, B and so on, completely out of order (but with vowels first... conveniently?)
It does this no matter what I sort by (songs, artists, albums, genre etc.) it's ALWAYS this weird messed up order. How do I change this back to the normal alphabetical order (you know... the one that goes A, B, C, D etc.)???

• Color Scheme in iTunes 8

I installed iTunes 8 about a week ago and it was running fine. Today I turned on my computer and the normal color scheme (white and gray) is replaced with an awful pink and purple scheme. I have looked through all the menus but cannot find how to fix this. Has this happened to anyone else? Any advice on how to get back the normal iTunes colors?
