Pink/Purple iTunes?

i've searched all over and didn't find anything related. ok. so, whenever i open iTunes, it is this ugly pink/purple colour.

why does it do this? and how do i get it to not do that anymore? it just started doing it one day and the only way i can get it to look 'normal' is to go to 'Purchased' and right click on a song and go to 'create ringtone.'

It's most likely your display settings not being set to show 32-bit color. See this Apple support article:

BTW, just so you know, if you'd searched this forum for either "pink" or "purple", you'd have found this question answered already. Searching doesn't always turn up an applicable thread, but try a search at least a couple of different ways before you post a new question. It might save you time waiting for a response.

PLEASE HELP ME: Pink/Purple library everytime I open Itunes.

Usually pink\purple background appears when "Show Grid Overlay" is enabled.
please go to View > Hide Grid Overlay and see if it works.
I am not sure if it will fix the problem as you said that pink\purple background appears when you place a swf file only.
If this do not fix the problem I would request you to share the screenshot of the design mode for better idea of the problem.

Pink/purple box when I try to load webpage

Starting yesterday, anytime I try to load a webpage, I get a pink/purple box on the tab and the page doesn't load at all. In some cases, the page will load and in places where there should have been a picture, there's a box with a yellow background and it says in black "Click here now!". This is happening with Safari, Mozilla and Opera. The only browser working (so far) is Flock.

I've run the disk utility and verified the disk and the permissions... everything appears to be Ok.
I downloaded iAntivirus and ran it and it came up with nothing.
Any ideas on what's wrong and how I can fix it?

My ipad2 has developed a pink/purple haze screen for no apparent reason?

My Ipad 2 wifi 3g has developed a pink/purple pyschodelic screen for no apparent reason. Tried resetting but it won't go away .

Reset the device:
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
If that doesn't help, tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings
A reset may help both issues. No data is lost due to a reset.

Pink and Purple Itunes

I opened my Itunes yesterday and all the song lines were pink and purple instead of the regular blue. I didn't do anything to it and i don't know how to fix it! On top of it all i HATE pink!!! help!

Green and purple itunes!

my itunes page is green and purple. i have a windows XP computer. i uninstalled it, to reinstall it in an attempt to remove this. however during uninstalling itunes, it corrupted my computer and removed hard drive restart programmes. i have had to pay an I.T technician to repair this. since having my laptop back, i reinstalled itunes to find the same situation... again it is green and purple. i have followed instructions so i dont understand why this is happening. please help! RAW 5.02 & Olympus E-M1 pink/purple cast images

Wanted to make this a new topic.
There seems to be an issure with the RAW support for E-M1 RAW files. Some of the imported files appear with a severe pink or purple cast. This happens in Aperture, iPhoto, & even Preview. So it must be system related to the RAW interpreter. It is only a few files, maybe 5% so far for me. I know that the files are fine because they open normally in OlympusViewer3 which I think doe not rely on the Mac OS RAW support.
If you look closely when these files are processed they will initially appear normal until the app/system processes them. I've carefully checked through the EXIF to find any thing in common or diffeent from other files. Nothing I can see. In fact in one case one file in a burst was bad while the others were fine.
My E-M! body has the 1.1 updated frmware version just released.
OSX 10.8.5, Aperture 3.4.5, iPhoto 9.4.3.

FYI, Apple responded to my feedback and requested more information & files. They acknowledged that they received them & are working on the issue.
I suggest sending more feedback in case your files might provide more info.
As far as I know none of my files were taken via the Olympus iOS app.
Note too that my E-M1 body was updated to firmware 1.1 somewhere in the middle of the SD card and the affected files were from the later shots. I can't tell if they were all after that update. Just wondering if Olympus might have changed something.

TS3274 My Ipad display screen is coming up with blue background and pink/purple lines all across the screen. It's also blurry and difficult to see icons on home screen and when apps are opened up. Has anyone had a similar problem?

The display screen on my Ipad is coming up all blurred with blue background mixed with pink and purple lines. It's difficult to see icons but apps are still accessible. Colors are off and images are very unclear on apps and home screen.

First thing to try is to reset your device. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously ignoring the red slider should one appear until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the device restart. See if that fixes your problem.
But it could also be a hardware failure. Make an appointment at an Apple Store to have your device examined by a technician. Or contact Apple Support.

T61 pink/purple screen problem

Hi all,
Sorry if this problem has been posted before - I tried to look through the threads and couldn't find it.
I have a 14.1" T61, type 7662-CTO.
My screen will periodically suddenly get a pink or purple sheen - white areas look purple, while dark areas look green. The computer still functions and I can basically see what I'm doing, but it's just a little ugly to put it mildly.
After a while, the screen will revert to normal, but if I work for much longer, it becomes purple again.
Some things I've noticed:
1) When I use an external monitor, it works fine.
2) Positional changes sometimes cause the purple event, and sometimes positional changes relieve the purpleness.
3) When the screen turns purple, I can often put a lot of pressure on the plastic just under the Ctrl and Alt keys on either side (or both at the same time) and the screen will turn back to normal either while I'm putting the pressure on or sometimes for a little while afterwards as well. This prompted me to tighten all the screws I could see corresponding to that piece of plastic on the bottom. While this has decreased the frequency of purple screen events, they have not gone away entirely.
Research on the web has made me wonder if this could be a backlight problem (symptoms sounded similar, but not quite the same as what I've got), or a graphics card connection problem. However I'm definitely not sure.
My computer is no longer on warranty and I do not have much experience tinkering with laptops, though I am willing to try if I can get the right parts and get good, detailed instructions.

This sounds to me like your green signal to your LCD is not correct - maybe it's sitting at a constant 50%.
My guess is that the ribbon cable that carries the LVDS signal from your mainboard to LCD has come a bit loose, or has developed a crack. You might try shifting the cable around a bit, or carefully reseating it in the ZIF connector if you are comfortable disassembling your laptop (and voiding the warranty).
Alternately, the crack could have developed inside the G84 chip itself - if the rumors are true, this could be one of the outcomes of the G84's defective manufacturing.

PINK! itunes screensaver

hey all, so i dont know if anyone can answer this question ( and i think i answered it myself) but theres no harm in getting an opinion from you guys...
my itunes screensaver is pink! i think it the pixles or something. but all the other screensavers are all the right colors..any hints to why would be great

hmm that is weird i just tried it again and when you do the test from system prefs it does have some singles and then alot in the rows as pinkish
when i did it by just waiting for the screensaver to come on, some of the individual pictures were pinkish but all in the rows were ok even if they came up as pink in the individual bit!
i may have missed them tho ;-]
but it does seem like this is a bit of a bug maybe they will fix in 10.5.2
thanks for pointing me in the direction of that screen saver tho ive had a mac for a while and never seen that option (duh) good for parties when you dont really want the psychedelia of the visualizer or the soberness of front row

Pink/purple front camera in the dark.

My front camera takes purple pictures while in low light. I searched this and i downloaded google camera to see if it's a soft problem. I found out that the front camera does the same with the google camera app. What should i do? Isn't this a manufacturing problem? i want to specify that this phone is brand new for about 2 months and it only fell once from half a meter in the bathroom and nothing happened. I've taken great care and bought a case and a screen protector. So What do you suggest?

CR2s come into Lightroom with pink & purple color block distortion

Hopefully I am not posting after someone has already determined an answer, but I did not see one. Unlike what is happening in this discussion (http://forums.adobe.com/thread/356898), my cr2 is coming up distorted on only one of my computers running Lightroom 3. When opening the cr2 on the same computer in both Lightroom 3 and Photoshop cs5, it comes out looking like this:
However, opening the same image on any of the other computers I have running Lightroom 3 and Photoshop cs5, the images turns out as it should:
All of these images were transfered from the cf card onto one computer (not the computer that is having the issue), and brought over to the other 3 computers over our server. Only 1 of the 3 is having issues. All of the computers have been updated with Camera Raw 6.1 and the image was shot on a Canon 5D Mark II with a Canon EF 16-35mm lens.
If anyone has an answer to this problem, I would greately appreciate a response. This problem, unfortunately, is slowing down my progress.

So I did a memory test and yes, at least one of the memory sticks is not functioning properly...so thanks for that. I appreciate it.
While I am waiting for replacement memory sticks, I am still trying to work through on that computer, as not all the files are color corrupted. The odd thing though is that I wasn't having this problem when running LR 2.7...so I downgraded that computer back to it...and the same images that had color corruption are fixed...no problems. The files were transfered from my server to the desktop and then imported into LR...so the files imported into LR 3 are from the same folder on the desktop that were imported into LR 2.7. And this is still with all the memory sticks (including the one that is not functioning).
When I get the new memory sticks I'll see if the files are still distorted on LR 3 (after doing a memory test on those sticks too).

Itunes screen is pink

I just upgraded to the itunes 8.0 & my window is pink & purple. My husband has the same on his computer & his window is the normal white & gray. My OS is windows Vista. How do I get my screen to go back to the normal color? The pink is driving me crazy. It is hard to look at make my eyes hurt. Can anyone help me?

Why is my iTunes PINK??!!

After the last iTunes software update all song grid is now in different shades of pink/purple and the left hand control menu is grayed out!

Go to Start > Control Panel > Display > Settings tab. For Xp it's a drop -down under color quality.

This is a ridiculous bug. It's along the lines of v7 where users had to set their display to 1024x768 in order to accept the iTunes license agreement.
