Pink & red vertical & horizontal lines with mini box?
I moved an object I was creating to the artboard. In doing so, it reveals pink & red vertical lines around all the elements within the object. Each line section has a mini pink or red box with a number at the top corner and what looks like a histogram? Included is a snapshot of what it looks like. What is this information and how do I remove it?
These are slices.
Go to Object > Slice in order to remove them.

Notebook dv7t. Red transparent horizontal lines across entire screen.
I need to know if it's as bad as I suspect. 2-1/2 yr old notebook dv7t on Win 7, with 17.2" monitor. No error messages. Troubleshooting finds nothing. Never had any problems before. All day yesterday, Tuesday 8/19, rebooting and shutting down repeatedly without success. Today, nothing, no lines!. Gotta expect it to happen again. No update available for NVidia GeForce card. Can anyone please advise? Thank you. Sillenn

BOX command does not print vertical/horizontal lines in SAP Script
Dear all,
in sap script we are using the BOX command to draw some boxes. DUring the print preview, all the boxes look
just fine including horizontal and vertial lines. But, when we print the output, I get the output minus
the vertical lines and some horizontal lines.

Hi,
i need following pattern:
text (horizontal line)
text (horizontal line)
and so on....
i use
<h:outputText value="Text"/><h:outputText value="___" style="vertical-align:super;"/>it works, but now i need the line thicker.
can i expand this code with some css?
or is there any other solution with jsf-tag?Use the CSS border property. This has not much to do with JSF, but just with basic HTML/CSS knowledge.

Black horizontal line ipad mini Safari
New iPad mini appears to be having problems already. While using Safari in some websites, a fairly thin black horizontal line will appear typically in the middle of the page. It usually gravitates towards the spot where you try to read. Thin enough to kind of underline text for easier reading but big enough to be a nuisance. Is this a feature for easier reading in Safari or a bug.
Please help,Michele,
I know this was mostly answered, but I am there with you. It's a very frustrating problem and you are not alone.
Merging the keyboard and splitting it again, as well as hard closing Safari, seemd to fix it, if only temporarily.
Slightly lifting the split keyboard from the bottom seems to completely solve this SEVERELY annoying and temper tantrum inducing problem. It has taken me more time than I'd like to admit to fix this, and I have my doubts that it will work permanently as well.
But anything that MIGHT work is better than dealing with this issue.
It may seem minor to some, but for a lot of us, it is very distracting and annoying.
I keep hoping with each and every update that it's fixed, and am disappointed each and every update. -
Vertical black line with shade dots down left side of page - NEW Cartridge
I installed a NEW cartridge and was able to print about 30 pages before the paper began having a 1/16" black stripe with shade(?) dots down the left side. Could someone please advise.
Thank you,
ErinThanks.
I am very new to Pages. Yesterday I decided to go after a "Brochure" template, as it already had at least one vertical line separating text passages on the left and right. But there were too many sections, so I went about deleting all the extraneous, unwanted lines. And also the unwanted horizontal lines. To do this, you have to click the line itself to discover where the "nodes" are. But the nodes are locked, so you have to go to the top control bar of the desktop. (I think that this is the option titled "arrange").
It appears that the secret to tinkering with the lines in the templates, is by unlocking the nodes to the lines, dragging them around, and then locking them in place again, saving them between major changes. In any case, none of this is going to be intuitive to users who come to the Mac from a text based 'DOS' universe. (I have absolutely no experience with Microsoft products, and would be lost if somebody asked me to do this from Windows.)
Now, I think I am going in the right direction, and I appreciate your help, but I'm still having a little difficulty switching back and forth from editing templates, and typing text in. What are the sequences of keypresses for going back and forth from editing the templates, and typing the text in? -
Horizontal lines with Mac Pro 1,1 and ATI Radio X1900XT
I love my Mac Pro, I've had it since 2007. But recently, I have been having a video problem and I hope somebody here might have some advice or suggestions.
_The Problem_
Large horizontal lines going across the screen - especially when it is displaying quickly moving images. These horizontal lines move upward, as if trying to refresh the image. Examples: playing a video, scrolling down a webpage, rearranging windows.
_My computer setup_
I have a Mac Pro 1,1 with ATI radeon x1900 graphics card. I am using two displays, and experience the following problem on both displays. My displays are set up as follows:
*Display 1:* Acer H234H, uses male DVI to male DVI connection
*Display 2:* Panasonic TC-37LZ85, male DVI to male HDMI cord > HDMI coupler (i.e. 2 both sides female) > male HDMI to male HDMI cable
Both are using 1920x1080 screen resolution.
I don't think this is an issue with either of the individual monitors for 2 reasons:
(1) both of them do it
(2) the Acer has a very fast response time (2 ms) yet it also has the problem.
Suggestions, comments, ideas, and "hey me too"s are welcome and appreciated.Thank you for your answer; I followed your suggestions:
The card is working fine in terms of spinning and is not dusty.
I booted from the Mac OS Installer DVD, and couldn't replicate the problem. But I don't think that's a good indicator, because this problem is intermittent and doesn't manifest itself consistently. Also, there's no way of playing video or scrolling down a webpage from the Installer DVD.
Also, I tried switching the two display connectors around (plug 2 to plug 1 and vice versa), which caused something interesting to happen: I stopped seeing vertical lines but started getting WEIRD flickering and green artifacts. Again, this happened on both screens.
The Apple Hardware Test said everything is fine (weird).
I think I'll try your suggestion of re-installing the OS. I always dread doing it. But hey maybe it'll make my computer run fast again (it's been running slowly lately).
Cheers, thanks for the suggestions, and I'll post back regarding what happens next. -
Horizontal Line with Feeder Print and Scans
My copies from the feeder and scans come with a Horizontal line about 2 1/2 inches from the left side of the page. Any thoughts for resolution?

Vertical rolling lines with DSLR and projector
I used a DSLR (EOS 60D) as a B camera for wide shot on a shoot in a dark lecture room the other day. Vertical rolling lines were evident across the whole frame. Whilst similar to scan lines on a CRT the lines were not restricted to the projection display. I assume this is related to the shutter speed, but whatever speed was selected I could not get rid of the artefact.
Are there any post production solutions for this? Forunately I used another camera ( a proper video camera ) for the A roll and had much more control over the shutter speed. The B-roll is not crucial but would be useful.
TIAThanks for all the responses.
There was daylight from the right side of the room but the lights were down.
I think that as suggested the problem was a mismatch between the projector and camera. Unfortunately whatever shutter speed I used on the DSLR the problem was evident (another "I don't believe it!" moment) . I wonder if the projector was a DLP unit and the problem was the combination of wheel rotation on the projector and shutter speed on the camera. I could adjust the camcorder's shutter speed far more precisely than the DSLR's, so I am glad not to have had to rely on the DSLR as the only camera.
I was hoping that there might be a way to fix short sequences as cutaways, but maybe not.

Apple 20" display vertical & horizontal lines on G4
I have just brought a 20" apple display, to connect to my G4(MDD), I connected it via the ADC (after checking on the Power Mac G4: Display compatibility from apple) and all I get on the screen are horizontal and vertical lines, I cannot even see the desktop. Why is this? and what is it caused by, is my only option to buy the DVI to ADC connector?
ThanksI'm having the same problem. The computer is unusable, I can't see almost anything. The computer runs fine, its just that the display is all messed up.

Red vertical banding lines in Photoshop CC images - suspect is latest Nvidia drivers
Anyone getting this in their images when viewing at 25% or under? The problem goes away if I uncheck Use Graphics Processor and then restart Photoshop CC, so my latest suspect in this mystery is the latest update by Nvidia, their 335.23 drivers. Has anyone had this issue and successfully got it to stop by reverting back to an older Nvidia driver set?
I'm running Photoshop CC 64-bit, latest version, on Windows 8.1, latest updates applied. I just built the PC 3 months ago, has i7 4930K, 32GB ram, dedicated separate SSDs for C drive and Adobe Scratch Disk, and yes, I did uninstall and reinstall PS CC and selected "Remove Pref Files". I'm fairly sure it's the latest Nvidia driver that's causing the issue. Oh, graphics card is EVGA GTX 770, this model.
I'll paste in the long hairy list of info from Photoshop, but there won't be any more of my wording below it. Thanks in advance.

Installed TWAIN devices: NONEYes, I have three onboard raid0 all attached directly to a Gigabyte X79-UD5 using Intel Enterprise driver. The boot driver I mention is a new thing, which I added after a major system crash left me needing a clean reinstall.
When I first built the system it had no raid0 at all - just a single 'Raptor I had hoped to use for the Project drive, but PremPro wouldn't play nicely with that, so I had to add another and raid0 them. I could scrub the timline smoothly after that with as many tracks on the timeline as I needed, (all 1080 H.264) I lost one of those Velociraptors, so replaced with a pair of 6th gen 1Tb V'raptors in raid0. They give me 350Mbs continuous, but their 4k speed is still not special.
I also have a pair of WD1Tb Blacks in a raid0 for Exports, my docs, and I used to keep cache, and other large files on that drive before I upgraded the boot drive.
Altogether I have 18Tb because of the need to back up the video, which is done with USB3 externals. I recently added a Seagate 4Tb USB3 external (to help organise files while reinstalling everything) and that is showing 185Mb/s sequentual, which is much faster than my single drive internals! I guess they just keep making things better. -

Pink and Purple Horizontal lines on iMac Screen
I set up twp new users on my iMac and also restored my daughters iPod under one of the users today. After trying to switch from user to user, teh computer started acting slow and was not responding. We tried to shut it down but it got stuck for while so we forced it to shut down by holding the on/off switch in the back. The screen popped up with this image, see attached. HELP! The white square on the right is a reflection from our window.

Try Resetting the PRAM
If that doesn't help, try a Safe Mode boot.
Startup your Mac in Safe Mode
A Safe Mode boot takes longer than a normal boot so be patient.
Once you are in Safe Mode, click Restart from the Apple () menu.
If that didn't help, restore OS X. Restart your Mac while holding down the Command + R keys so you can access the built in utilities in OS X Recovery -
Green & Pink horizontal Lines? and Audio Sample Rate? Help, Please!
I have just successfully completed one short film. I'm believe I'm doing exactly the same as before but I'm running into problems. Used a Panasonic PV-GS300 camcorder with mini DV. Then a Sony DSR-11 deck. When I capture there are green and pink bars within horizontal lines over the image in the viewer. When I end the capture I get the message 'the audio sample rate of captured media files does not match the sample rate on you source tape. Video and audio out of sync.' The captured film clip audio rate is 48.0 KHz, the audio format is 16-bit integer, the audio is 2 Mono and the tracks are 1V 2A. Any suggestions, help would be greatly appreciated.
1.8 GHz Power PC G5, 2GB DDR SD RAM Mac OS X (10.4.9) FCP 5.1.4Sorry about that, I'm away from my FC system, so I can't refer to it. You should choose DV-NTSC in Easy Setup as a starting point, then if the audio settings of your footage are different from 48kHz 16-bit, then you can easily change the capture settings to match.

I just upgraded to a mac pro with an ATI 2600 video card. I get two horizontal lines in dialog boxes.Never had this with my old G4. All other windows and desktops are fine. Anyone know how to fix this?
An update to my question. Problem remains when running in safe mode. So no ovious startup item conflict. Etc.
Problem disappears if I create a new user! So what is different between a new user and an old user running in safe mode?
