Pink shimmer with Philips 22cl

Hi!
Problem on video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N9fxtIISZuI&feature=youtu.be
History: I connected macbook pro mid 2012 (hdmi) to Philips 22cl and I got the Pink shimmer (more info on the video) I tried reload BOOTCAMP Windows 8.1 but image has artifacts.  Check the operation of the monitor to the PC, all fine. Macbook connected to other monitors, everything is fine. The problem only occurs in tandem with this monitor. I did reset NVRAM and SMC, and delete com.apple.windowserver.plist - did not help. How can I fix?

Hello,
i am experiencing the same colour problem when trying to connect my mac book pro with an adapter to my Phillips TV, very annoying!
All that helped so far is to pull the HDMI cable and put it back in.
I think this issue in my case has to do with the new adapter cable which transmittes video and audio on HDMI basis, before i used two diffrent cables for video and audio and it worked but on VGA basis (?)...but at that time i had an older mac -so not sure if that issue can be fixed for the new mac.
Has anybody tried to use diffrent cables for audio and video and also diffrent tranmittion standards (HDMI, VGA..)?

  • Mac Mini With Philips CRT - 1080i issues

I have a Philips 34PW9818 High Definition CRT TV connected to my new 1.83 Mac Mini. My TV has a DVI input and supports 1080i or 480p. The only one of these options coming up under System Preferences/Display was for 1920 x 1080 (interlaced). When I choose that option the top and left portions of the screen are cut-off and the screen flickers. If I chose 848 x 480, which is the closest I have to 480p, the screen is much clearer, doesn't flicker but portions of all sides are cut-off. I had planned to use this for web browsing, Front Row and to watch DVDs. I assumed that this would work considering my TV has a DVI input and it could handle up to 1080i.
    Can this be fixed?
Is it possible for this TV to work well for web browsing, Front Row and watching DVDs?
Will DisplayConfigX or SwitchResX fix my problems?
Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.
mac mini intel duo   Mac OS X (10.4.8)

    Welcome to Apple Discussions!
I have the same issue with my iMac Intel Core 2 Duo. 480p just isn't enough, but 1080p should be enough. What you need is a scan converter.
    Edit: http://www.provantage.com/startech-vid2dvidtv~7STRV012.htm
seems like an inexpensive solution compared to what I had quoted earlier. Though it requires DVI on your computer end, and Composite on the TV end. Let us know how it works?

  • Pink Screen with 17" ADC and DVI converter

This issue could be with the Apple ADC to DVI convertor box or cable, but I can't confirm if it is that or my monitor. I am using a 17" clear ACD with a mac mini, and I started to get intermittant bright pink screens, which has progressed into pink all the time, and a horizontally squashed screen that shows the desktop twice (one on top of the other, both squashed).
I am pretty sure that the cable coming out of the convertor box is the culprit, since I was able to get it working normally by jiggling the cable, and it started acting up when I was plugging and unplugging some USB devices. Now it won't work properly at all, and I do not have an old computer to plug the monitor in directly to check with. I did plug the monitor and convertor into a G5 PowerMac, and had the same result. When I plugged in a newer 20" Apple aluminum display into the Mini, it worked fine.
The trouble is that all of the cables on the monitor and convertors are built in and not easily replaced.
    Any suggestions?

I bought a new ADC/DVI converter ($99) and that fixed it. I am almost positive it was only the cable.
My question is: why can't Apple PLEASE make these convertor boxes AND their monitors with removable/replaceable cables?
I ended up spending 10 times what I should have to fix the issue. it should have never broken in the first place, since it rarely even ever got touched, and had never been disconnected.
Just for grins, after I bought the new converter, I tried to open the old one to see if I could remove the cable. I could not even get the box open without destroying it.
My 20" Cinema Display has a dead bug inside it, and it is also impossible to open up without destroying it, just to clean it.
I just have to express my displeasure at Apple making their products non-servicable. What a waste.

  • Handshake problems with Philips HDTV

Hi, Since I updated to 10.9.1 I have handshake problems with my Philips tv. I can only use it for a couple of minutes then it turns green/turquoise and all the colors are mixed up and I have to reconnect the HDMI-cable to get the colors back. I have had the same problem before with mountain lion but then it was solved by doing this:
    1. Download http://www.mediafire.com/?fdz29bgsg3zm653
    2. Unarchive it
    3. In the Finder, go to (using cmd-shift-G) the directory /System/Library/Displays/Overrides/
    4. Place the entire directory you unarchived in step 2 (DisplayVendorID-410c) in the directory /System/Library/Displays/Overrides/
    5. Reboot
Now unfortunately I cannot get it to work by doing the same. Does anyone have the same problem and maybe a solution for it?
    I would be very greatful!
    /Niklas

    Hi,
I can see that I'm not the only one with the same problem. But yesterday I gave the DisplayVendorID-410c one more chance and it has actually worked since that for me. Now I have had it on for maybe 5h in a row without that the screen turning green/turquoise. I don't know why it didn't work earlier maybe I just have been lucky now. But I suggest that you all give it one more chance, maybe it will also start working for you guys. I hope iyou have the same luck as me, because I know how frustrating it is when  things doesn't work!
I repost one more time what I did:
    5. Reboot
    Good Luck!

  • Resolutions problems with Philips LCD Monitor

    Hi all,
I have a new MacBook Pro with the Mini Display Port and today I have bought the DVI adapter for it. On my previous MacBook Pro I could happily use 1280 x 800 resolution on my external display using a single DVI cable straight to the MacBook Pro but i am only getting 1024 x 768 on my new laptop with the adapter (no widescreen resolutions).
    Can someone please help me?
    Many thanks and merry christmas.

What Philips monitor is this? What is its native resolution? Is 1024 x 768 the top choice you are seeing in Displays preferences? Is the Philips properly identified or is it being identified generically like "RGB Display" or something like that?
It's possibly some kind of failure on the part of OS X to read the monitor's driver data (EDID) but it's hard to say why that might be happening. It could be you got a defective adapter.

  • Pink Border with Crossfade

    Hi,
with a current project I noticed a pink line flashing at the border of the image. First I thought it´s just an preview issue - but it appears after rendering as well.
The line appears only, when I move the footage (it´s a white gradient as a .psd) out of the right frame.
But it´s fine when it´s not intersection with the right format border or if it´s intersecting with the left/top/bottom border.
Also the pink line only appears during a crossfade effect (with dip to black it seems to be a red line).
I just uploaded two pictures on a german uploading website, please take a look here...
    http://www7.pic-upload.de/08.04.14/ggivlkky7d59.jpg
(that´s how it looks like when footage is inside the frame)
    http://www7.pic-upload.de/08.04.14/4ztpydtmavtq.jpg
(that´s how it looks like when footage is moved outside the frame using position x value)
Any ideas where this comes from and how to fix it?
    Hoping someone can help.
    Thanks a lot!
Edit: Using Premiere CC v7.2.1 at the company on a Mac V10.8.5

It's either a graphical glitch or there is a video layer beneath with pink on it and it's showing through. There's also an 'end of sequence media indicator' which is a horizontal line that will show up when the playhead is at the end of all media in a given sequence. But it shouldn't;t be pink and it would be offset from the edge of the monitor by about 1/8 of the total monitor width, like this:
    http://forums.adobe.com/thread/1334155
It's really hard to tell what's going on without specific steps and or media to reproduce what you did. Also, when you supply screenshots, it's be not to zoom in so far so that I can maybe tall what else is going on in your workspace. Thanks for your support!
Update: is it possible that maybe we're seeing the edge of the wireframe around the clip when it is selected for direct manipulation? Again, if the view is not zoomed out so far I could easily tell.

  • N8 background noise problem with Philips SHE9850

I just bought N8 to replace my 5800XM. N8 is good so far until I plug in the ear phone which I used from my 5800XM time, Philips SHE9850.
The problem is I used this earphone from the time that I still use 5800XM and it works great. No noise at all.
Now, when you play any sound from N8 (anything from clicking menu button, play movie, listen to music, play games etc). It produces static noise that is very noticeable/annoying in the earphone (since Philips SHE9850 has quite low impedance so you will know right away). Especially, the dialogue (speech) or the quiet part of the song. When you slide the side button to lock the screen, after it goes dim, the noise goes away even the music still playing which is so strange.
Do any of you have similar problem like me? I am going to visit Nokia Shop that I bought the phone on this Friday and test with the demo phone. Don’t know what will be the result but I am so disappoint with this issue. If you have any experience, please share with me. Thanks.

You guys are worrying me. My N97 has top notch audio output. If N8 has worse, I don't want it.
I remember that N95 had similiar issue when screen was turned on.
I was getting a slight pop/hiss on my N97-00 when each MP3 loaded.  The same behavior exists on the N8.  Could it simply be something to do with the way the codec is utilized by the phone.  I didn't find it that distracting.

  • Iphone 4-iOS 7.0.4 doesn't work with Philips DS1150 Docking Station

    Hi all,
as said, I have an ipod touch 2nd generation and an iphone 4 already updated to iOS7.0.4
4 days ago I bought a docking station Philips DS1150 and while the ipod touch works perfectly, my iphone cames out with a popup message saying that the device is non supported.
I'm a quite confused about that, I bought that Philips because I tried it 6 months ago in an hotel room and it was simply amazing. I guess the iOS7 update messed up a little...
I've also run the reset instruction for both the dock and the iphone, I've also lost half day formatting the whole iphone as a fresh-form-factory and the message is always the same.
Any kind of help would be appreciated.
    Thanks,

I have the same problem and have since the 5.0 update.  The 5.0.1 didn't fix it nor did the itunes updates including the most recent.  Apple doesn's seem to care either as I am finding is the case with any bug they don't feel like fixing.  Sorry, so far no solution either.  I have erased erased everything and started over numerous times, still doesn't work.

  • The whole screen goes pink suddenly with vertical lines.

Our iMac is 3 years old and lately we've been getting this thing where the screen suddenly goes pink with lines down it and we have to turn the power off to get ris of it. Once it went white. I'm really hoping this is something we can deal with and fix before it becomes fatal. We absolutely cannot afford a new computer right now. Anyone had this happen? Know what it's about? • Pink Image with 3200MP

I have a 3200MP that is not used often but is great!  This time my image appears with a pink cast.  The start up logo appears clear with blue and white but the PC image has distorted colors best described by pink where I see whites.  No lamp light is going on.  Any thoughts?  Cable does not appear to be missing any pins.  Thanks!

    Dear Moderator,
You have asked how the projector is "hooked up". It has its power cable connector connected, and it has the MI connector lead to a Latitude laptop (including the USB connection). The laptop was only powered up once the Dell white screen showed "connection loss" icon and words. This lead was removed (to see if the warming up phase would complete, and reconnected. The remote was also tried, but total lock-up remains.
