Pins, Place Names and Zoon
Hi; When I zoom the iPhoto 09 Places Map into my home town, all the pins and place names are correct. When I zoom out, the pins combine and the place name changes to a city that is 400 km away. How may I change this incorrect city name to the name of my home town?

As far as I know no one has solved this yet - suggest to Apple - iPhoto menu ==> provide iPhoto feedback
This is brand new and I'm sure there will be many enhancements and changes over the next year

What are pin names and numbers rotated?
I copied an existing schematic symbol into my user data base, changed the part number and saved it. Then I placed the component into the schematic and the pin names and numbers were totally screwed up. All vertical names and numbers were rotated horizontal.
See the attached picture. On the left is the image shown in the "Select a Component" dialog. On the right is what I get when I place the component.

How do I correct this, and is this going to happen every time I place a component with vertical labels?

screwed up symbol.jpg 235 KBThe original component a FT 232DM, but this is no longer manufactured. The FT232BL is a pin for pin replacement. All I wanted to do was change the component name.
I copied the FT232DM from the schematic sheet into my User Database. Then I opened the component in the Symbol Editor, changed the name to FT232BL, and saved it into my User Database. What you see in the image posted earlier are the symbol as it appears in the Symbol Editor (left) and as it appears after I placed the FT232BL into the schematic.
I have solved the problem - I can't wait days and days for a Tech Support answer on a job with a short deadline.
I edited the component in Symbol Editor and changed pin rotation from Auto to horizontal or vertical as appropriate. Then when the part was placed in the schematic the vertical pin names and numbers appeared as they should.
It is very peculiar that the program displays the symbol one way in the Symbol Editor and then places it in the schematic with a different configuration. The way the user designs the part in the Symbol Editor is the way the part should be placed in the schematic.

Hello, I would like to create and print a contact sheet in Photoshop elements 13. I have managed to do that but I need desperately to be able to place a title on the contact sheet. Also, each photograph has as name and I need these names to show up on the contact sheet when I print them out. If this is not possible I will just return my product. I have an old old version of Photoshop that will do just that but with this new elements I cannot find it.

What computer operating system is your Premiere Elements 13/13.1 running on?
Assuming Windows 7, 8, or 8.1 64 bit, open the Elements Organizer 13/13.1 and select your media
for the Contact Sheet.
Go to File Menu/Print and set up the Print Dialog for Contact Sheet.
If you used Edit Menu/Add Caption beforehand, I can see how you can get

Caption
Filename
under the Print dialog's "4" and even a page number if you have more than 1 page. But, I am not seeing
where you are going to get a title for each of the contact sheets.

How to change host name and domain name in installed Cisco Meeting Place Express 2.0?

I have Cisco Meeting Place Express 2.0 installed on server. Meting Place uses Linux (Red Hat) as base operation system. Please tell me how I can change host name and domain name for Meeting Place Express application to integrate it into corporate domain infrastructure.

Thanks for your attention for my humble problem.
I have performed Meeting Place Express configuration through the “net” command.
But now unfortunately I can't connect to meeting place through web browser. I just get blank page.
Though I can reach the server with help of ssh. I think my DNS works properly because I can resolve the ip address of cumpxvoice .uclab.com and cumpxweb. uclab.com with help of dig command.
Have you any idea?

Pin names and numbers do not print with black and white printer setup option

File -> Print Options -> Print Sheet Setup, check In black/white, OK
Then
File -> Print Preview, shows all elements of the drawing in black white
Then select Print and the drawing prints without pin names and pin numbers.

I used Multisim 12 with the same configuration and printed with a HP LaserJet 4250, but it seemed to be working well for me. There could be some incompatibility issue with your printer driver. A workaround you can try is to install a PDF Converter and print the file in color, then print the generated PDF file in black and white. There are many PDF Converters available, for example, CutePDF Writer (free)

I believe it can be done from Tools and optionsFirefox doesn't do email, it's a web browser. And the 3.5.7 version you are using is very out of date and no longer supported by Mozilla.
If you are using Firefox to access your mail, you are using "web-mail". You need to seek support from your service provider or a forum for that service.

No place to enter login name and password
After recent update there is text boxes to enter user name and password for signing in with the skype name but they are read only. Even mouise can not point to any of those controls.What is going on?I am using skype long time and this is the first I see anything like that.Is it usual microsoft attempt of humor?

I am trying to access a forum for which you need a username and password but it keeps telling me the username/password i've entered are incorrect. Bizarrely, when I enter the same username/password combination on my iPad, it grants access without any problem.
What could be causing this, is it an issue with cookies, caches or similar. How can I resolve it? The forum administrator is at a loss as to what the problem is.Try the following steps in Safari to see if they help:
1) First try clearing the Safari cache. To do this pull down the Safari menu and select 'Empty cache...', then try logging into the site again.
2) If the issue continues then reset Safari by pulling down the Safari menu and select'Reset Safari...'. You will be presented with a list of items that can be reset. I suggest selecting the 'Reset saved names and passwords', and 'Remove all website data' options at a minimum.
Here is a list of the options and what they do. I pulled it from the Safari help page.
Clear history:
Clears the list of webpages you viewed.
Reset Top Sites:
Clears any changes you made to Top Sites, such as adding or pinning sites. If you also clear your history, your Top Sites page reverts to showing the webpage previews displayed when you first installed Safari.
Remove all webpage preview images:
Clears any thumbnail images Safari saved of webpages you viewed.
Clear the Downloads window:
Clears the list of files you downloaded from websites. Only the names are removed; the files themselves are still on your disk until you remove them.
Remove all website icons:
Removes website icons, which are small graphics that help identify sites on the Internet. You see them in the Safari address field and bookmarks list, and other places. These icons are stored on your computer.
Remove saved names and passwords:
Removes user names and passwords that Safari automatically fills in at websites that require them (if the AutoFill feature is turned on).
Remove other AutoFill form text:
Removes some personal information, such as telephone numbers, that Safari uses to automatically fill in forms on webpages (if the AutoFill feature is turned on). Removing AutoFill information does not remove information from your address book.
Close all Safari windows:
If you don’t close all Safari windows, someone could use the Back and Forward buttons to view the webpages you visited.
Reset all location warnings:
Clears any information websites saved about your location.
Remove all website data:
Removes cookies, tracking information, and other data that websites stored on your computer. -
hope someone can help here, I have just imported a bunch of photos into iPhoto 11 which were pre-geotagged and now after importing iPhoto will not rename the place names from.
I have some pics taken in an old house which I tagged, the pin says england so I rename the place hit return it just goes back to England. I tried typing the place name again and this time clicked (renaming current place) and still the same, I checked manage my places but I only currently have one which has been auto added into there so I cant even rename the place name there either.
anyone able to help?I have a similar problem with iPhoto '11 (9.2.1). According to the help files, one is supposed to be able to highlight a photo, open the info panel and assign a place by typing in a place name or set of coordinates. It does not work as advertised.
Often I will want to drop a pin on a location that is not associated with a known street address (a spot on a hiking trail for example), or I will want to edit the location and lable for a misplaced pin. Unfortunately, iPhoto '11 has a serious bug that prevents one from editing pin positions and location lables. And when one clicks on a misplaced or mislabled pin, instead of the pin head turning yellow and revealing a lable editing field, the pin head remains red and offers no opportunity to edit the lable.
Even the Geniuses I've consultted at the Apple Store are stumped by this. Unfortunately, Apple HQ is not very forthcoming about acknowledging bugs. Will this bug get fixed, who knows? It could be they won't throw any resources at the problem until the next major revision of the software. When will that be? Who knows? Apple's not talking about it.

I am trying to polish an application, and find that I cannot seem to reliably control which of the label or caption text appears in the context help window because I don't understand what rules are in place to determine which should appear. It seems like if I reate a named constant, then use it's right click menu command "Create Indicator" I get a control with only a Label (as long as I don't add a caption). This then appears in the context help window as the label name followed by the description text (after entering some description text). But if I add a caption, the label name is shown in bracket
s which is a 'feature' I would like to avoid, because I have certain controls where I would like to use a descriptive variable name on the block diagram side without using so much space on the front panel. It seems like there is no way to avoid showing the Label name in the context help for a control/indicator. Is this true?
I thought the purpose of having a seperate caption was to make the text that appears with a control programmatically controllable, but if that control is not extended to what appears in the context help window, it limits the usefulness of the caption and forces me to re-consider some Label names. However, the problem goes deeper than that because then even when I make the label and caption exactly the same, or if I delete (via a select caption text-backspace or select caption text- delete key .. sequence) the caption for a control, the label name in the context help window still appears in square brackets!

Have Migrated data from IMAC to Macbook twice. Because I had too many admin ids under user and accounts preferences, I was trying not to delete the extras but that they wouldn't all show at login time. Under Login Options, I clicked out "List of Users" and clicked in "Name and password". Can't remember whether I did anything else. I shut down the computer and turned it back on to test the change. I get a dark grey screen with all my admin ids in circled pictures plus one for guest, but doesn't let me do anything with any of the admin ids. I clicked on any one and nothing happens. IF i click on the guest circle, it gives me a message that the computer will restart with only Safari allowed.
Since I haven't been able to connect my macbook to my IMac so I can login to the macbook through the Imac, I can't get to my macbook. There must be a way to fix this problem. I expected to see places to enter name and password but nothing is allowed to enter. Please help!First thing I would do would be to boot in to Lion Recovery (Command+R on boot) and run Disk Utility, both disk and permissions repair.

Migrate WSUS server from 2003x86 to 2008x64, new hardware, use same name and IP address?
Searching through the WSUS forums and reading the TechNET migration documentation, I have bits and pieces of information to make this a smooth transition...I think. I have a plan in mind but
would like the communities input on what I am thinking before moving forward and having it blowup in my face :). <o:p></o:p>
I have the following currently:<o:p></o:p>
A single WSUS 3.0 SP2 server, running on Server Win2003x86, using the default WID (susdb.mdf) on the same server. I have SQL 2005 Express installed on this server as well for other services
but this has no bearing on the WID correct?<o:p></o:p>
What I would like to do:<o:p></o:p>
I have a new server (a much better one) that I would like to move WSUS on to, that will be running Server Win2008x64 (I have to setup first). <o:p></o:p>
Steps that I would like to follow:<o:p></o:p>
1. I will go through and setup this new server with all M$ updates etc... under a new name (ex. wsusnew) and DHCP acquired IP address and then power it down. <o:p></o:p>
2. Get on my current WSUS server and backup all current WSUS settings, groups, DB etc... to a network location for temporary storage. Then power it down.<o:p></o:p>
3. Delete the current WSUS server computer object in AD, DNS entry I will leave because my intension is to give the same IP address to the new WSUS server.<o:p></o:p>
4. Start the new server, static assign the IP address from the old WSUS server to this new server and then change the name of (wsusnew) to the old servers name, which should be ok sense I deleted
the AD object in step 3.<o:p></o:p>
5. After the obvious restart, the new server will have the same name and IP address as the old server. <o:p></o:p>
6. Now that the new server is up (with same settings name/IP as old server), I will then go through and install the WSUS role on the server and restore my WSUS information.<o:p></o:p>
Questions:<o:p></o:p>
1. Step 2 above, is it possible to do this, without making replica servers? I kept reading about this as I was researching doing this, I would rather just copy the DB and folders and simply
put them in-place on the new server.<o:p></o:p>
2. Step 6 above, restoring of the data, what is the proper way to do this in the scenarioI described? <o:p></o:p>

You can use the much more simple, much more reliable, and much more proven method of:
Install new server as a replica of the old.
Replicate.
Configure new server as upstream server.
Point clients to new server.
Turn off old server after all clients have redirected to the new server.
For everybody that has tried the backup/restore the database procedure described above, they have encounted complications of one form or another.
WSUS has a built-in and fully supported comprehensive replication capbility. use it! :-)
