Pinterest and the like

I understand that the possibility of using Pinterest technology within dps apps is being looked at for future releases..BUT in the meantime does anyone have any alternative solutions to being able to have clickable content within an app that passes a url to an external website. Of course i can make anything a hyperlink...but ideally want someone to have logged into the app so the information passed in the url is specific.
This brings up the question too of whether i can have someone log in to my app and have that information retained for passing into a variable on all links.?
Also....if i have a link within my dps app can i force the external site to open up within my dps framework so that it looks exactly like part of the app?

I had the smae problem as you and what i did was to go to settings>general>>reset then tapped on reset location & privacy which then when i went to the app and it asked again to have access to my photos and the problem was fixed

What happens if you create a coloured rectangle and place it behind the artwork (beneath it in the stacking order as shown in the Layers palette)?

IPhone 6 Pixelated images on instagram, pinterest and the icons on the app store

Hi!!! I have an iPhone 6, 64GB capacity. All the iOS updates are the latest ones. I'm getting pixelated images on instagram, pinterest and even the icons on the app store, I have tried to turn it of and off but it doesn't seems to work... any idea??.

Autocad, 3DS Max and the like.

A pre-thank you for your time and input.
So I just bought an iMac, 21.5 inch with 3.6 intel core i5, 8 GB ram and the ATI Radeon HD 5670. I have a few questions, some for curiosity's sake and some for how to move forward.
Essentially all the questions revolve around the need to use autocad and 3dsmax on my computer, and as of right now, in windows form. I understand that there is parallels, fusion, and boot camp, but I have heard conflicting information from the sales rep at the store and thought to ask before going forward.
Does windows in Bootcamp give me access to standard file types saved from Mac OS, ie. can I listen to my mp3s while in windows? Can i pull up a jpg or a pdf if the file was saved from mac?
Can the new Fusion or Parallels handle heavy programs like Max or Autocad or Photoshop?
In fusion, if I set the amount of cores and ram for windows to use, does that mean that Mac OS cannot use that, and if so, even when Fusion is shut down and windows turned off?

Yes to both. The Apple BootCamp Windows drivers allow read-access to the OSX partition from BootCamp Windows. For write access a third-party tool named MacDrive is needed.

I don't have/use neither Mac nor Autocad, so I really can't say.

As long as Fusion is running assigned cores and RAM cannot be used by OSX. When you shutdown Fusion the used cores and RAM are avaiable for OSX.

At best use BootCamp which allows Windows to use all avaiable hardware resources.
With Fusion you have to find the balance between your Windows useage and your OSX useage.

To my knowledge the Fusion package includes an uninstaller app to remove Fusion completely.
Before uninstalling Fusion you should use Fusion to delete/remove your Windows Virtual Machines.
Such Virtual Machines usually consists or merely two files which reside on your OSX partition and, in case of need, can even be deleted using the OSX Finder.

Like said, I don't use Max or AutoCad, but the Mac you have should be really good for both.

Using tabs and the like.

The information on the Sun website wasn't too helpful when dealing with a tabbed pane. Maybe I can get the solution I want here.
First of all, how would you deal with making use of the JTabbedPane class and the tabs you want to use in them? In short, how do you make each tab do its function on click? Second, what is the best method of changing the objects within the GUi frame using the tabs?
Using a GUI builder(either NetBeans, Eclipse's own, or Jigloo), I assumed the best action was to construct panels before hand in seperate classes, and have the individually created panels imported and called within the frame on initialization or on the click of a tab. As much as I'd like to think that is it, there could be an easier way I don't know of. Or I could be taking the wrong approach altogether.

A tabbed pane is a container that displays only one child component at a time. Typically, the children are themselves containers of other components. Each child is associated with a visible tab on the tabbed pane. The user can choose a child to display by selecting the tab associated with that child.

I Have Issues - missing photos and the like

I dunno. I used to never bat an eye every time Apple came out with an update. Not the story of my life lately - since 10.4.4 and up and with related products iTunes 6.03, and iPhoto 6.
Re: i Photo - missing photos, more and more. I went investigating and the JPG's themselves are missing even missing in some cases (not just messed up thumbnails). Restoring from backup now as I speak. But this gives me the Fear. This recent list of problems in various parts of my system.
iPhoto problems have included - date stamps got whacked, so my albums are all out of tune and not in order. Missing files & directories. Thank God for backups. Also dupe files eg. img6013.jpg and img6013_1.jpg etc. etc. Also, I just bought a new Canon 20D and have been trying to import lately and during or when it attempts to import from my card, it bombs and I have to say open/reopen. Am I the only one with the Plague? After about 4 tries it worked. Larger files than my old cam, but still...
I just noticed that some of my new pics I previously imported (that showed up, but after disappeared) are in /Music/Import/Data/2000/12/ - not in the correct path and not even in the correct directories, because the dates are all indeed the correct dates - oh wait, these are thumbnails - ???
The originals are in /Music/Import/Originals/2000/12/ ???? ***!?!?!?!
I have the Fear. Any tips on what the heck might be going on here would be much appreciated.

this is the new organization:
iPhoto 6 Library folder in the Finder
As you can see the structure is now related to rolls. Rolls are created for each folder you import and each import session from a camera.
It is very easy to change the names of film rolls within iPhoto to make them easier to find images within. Open the info panel in iPhoto by clicking on the "i" icon. Once it is opened, click on the roll title in the viewing window.
Click on the word "title" in the info pane and type in your new title. I like to use a date and text format such as 12/25/05 Christmas at Mom's, 1/05/06 my birthday, etc. Once the roll names are changed within iPhoto, they are also changed within the Finder, making it easy to locate an image.
When importing from a camera, make sure you name the roll with a date and text before the import.

Full screen mode, packages and the like

I am trying to keep my code neat byt putting various related functions into clases with their associated methods. All is working sort of okay until I want to carry out a drawimage to the graphics device g . g is in one class and the drawimage method is in another. How do I pass the graphics device to the image class and assocaited method?? Help
I am using netbeans and each class is in the same package. Any help on this is appreciated.

Run time binding of textfields and the like

I am working on a dynamic form,which will instantiate questions based on some instructions specified in XML when the form loads up, much like John Brinkman's example

At design time, it is not know which node in the data dom the field should be bound to, so I would like to be able to simulate a match="dataRef" ref="$.myNode" statement at run-time.
However, my recollection is that the binding reference can't be changed at run time. Does anyone know if it can be done, and how to do it?

Good to hear from you. In our case : "Validate Product data from SAP Enterprise Buyer " has been selected , but Cross -catalog Search is not selected. Though in our case we are dealing with Description Based Item (text item not product item)
We are communicating to catalog company about the validity method to support run time validation of price and items from catalog during creation of SC from template.
So correct my understanding if catalog support validity
1. Existing item new price in catalog:it will bring new price from catalog while creation of SC from template
2. Item has blcked for new purchase in catalog: it will shows error in SC like "incomplete items in catalog or item doesnt valid"
3.My default region is X but template for SC region is Y: While creation of SC from template with region Y it will show error that your default region is X or create SC w.r.t region Y with validation of Y region based catalogs item and price.

When I right-click, the same context menu opens up (the menu for hyperlinks, with "Open Link in New Tab" and the like) regardless of what/where I right-click.

Regardless of where I right-click on a displayed webpage (NOT the menu bar at the top of the screen), be it highlighted text, a blank spot in a webpage, or anything, the context menu for a hyperlink pops up (with the options for opening it in a new tab, window or private window, bookmarking), and none of the options actually do anything even if it is a hyperlink I'm clicking on. Using keyboard shortcuts like Ctrl + clicking work fine. I haven't installed any plugins recently, and it only started a few hours ago. Wat do?

Where can i see current temperature and the like of the MB?

hi, the subject name pretty much sais what i would like to know. i saw this mooning pb and some videos abt it, and there was this window displaying the current temperature. where can i find that?
furthermore would i like to know if the cpu is running at full load, or in a reduced form (i have the sudden shutdown pb, so i started the MB in the 1Ghz "safe" mode). now i would like to know if i am still in that mode or not, cause the pb temporarily stopped.

istat down't work with that for some reason...instead of installing the widget, just keep coreduo temp in the dock after you open it and hide the window...the temp will be displayed in the icon

My iPhone has a large amount of capacity used by other as shown in iTunes when sync. I can't determine where 4.3 GB of other is from. Even eliminating all of the categories of music, movies and the like it still uses 4.3 GB for other?

My iPhone has developed a large amount of "other" as shown on how the capacity is used when sync in iTunes. Even eliminating songs, ovies and all other sync items it still uses 4.3 GB of other. This is a relativily new development. How can I determine the cause and free up this capacity?

Other includes data such as iPhone settings, contacts, calendar events, Safari bookmarks/cache/cookies, email and email attachments, SMS/MMS/iMessages, notes, app data, Safari cache, cookies and bookmarks, stored passwords, search index, home screen organization, wi-fi network data, etc. But is should be around 1 GB; 4.3 GB is an indication that something is corrupt and you will have to restore your phone to correct it.
Before restoring, be sure to import all your photos to your computer and back up your contacts (by syncing them with iCloud or Google, or to a supported program such as Outlook or mac Address Book, or using an app like My Contacts Backup) as contacts are not fully backed up in the iPhone backup. Once this is done, follow this guide: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1414, being careful to back up your phone at step 6. At the end of the process your phone will restart and you will go through the setup screens; during this setup, when given the option choose to Restore from iTunes Backup and restore from the backup you made earlier. Then connect to iTunes and see how large "Other" is. If it's still that large, then the corrupt data was contained in the backup you restored from and you will have no choice except to repeat the process, but this time restore your phone as a new iPhone.

XUL and the like

Hi,
I would like to ask for a piece of advice. I'm developing XUL based application, running on Minimo browser on my pocket pc with windows mobile 4.2. But I came across some problems with strange CSS support and a couple of other ones. Maybe exists some other technology (based on Java ME) that lets me do the following things:
- connect through sockets (on ANY port, not only 80)
- DINAMICALLY update client layout discribed by data (some xml file ala XUL ?) sent from server through sockets (of course this data should also discribe methods that answer for particular events)
