When I upload photos to Pinterest, the source window shows "upoaded by user" instead of my name. Can anyone tell me how to change this?

I guess you can try your local Ford dealer since they have photos in their showroom - sorry but this has nothing at all to do with iPhoto except that it involves photos -

I upgraded to 5.0.1 and now 2 apps won't work. Skype and Pinterest. When i tap them they open and immediately close. I deleted and reinstalled both. What do I do now?

I upgraded to 5.0.5 on my iphone4 and now 2 apps won't work - Skype and Pinterest. When I tap them they open and then immediately close. I have tried turning off my phone and deleting the apps then reinstalling them. They still don't work. What do I try next?

I went through your instructions Notification was already off

Cannot log into Pinterest from Firefox

For the past few weeks, I've been unable to log into my Pinterest account. I use Firefox as my primary browser. I've gone back and forth with Pinterest tech support, to no avail, and they sent me here. <eye roll> I've tried all the easy things...deleting cache and cookies, trying in safe mode, trying with another browser, making sure the browser is up to date, etc. Pinterest won't let me log in on IE or Chrome either, on this computer; yet on my Windows Surface tablet, I can log in with no trouble.
Here's the error message I get: The connection was reset
The connection to the server was reset while the page was loading.
The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few moments.
If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer's network connection.
If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure that Firefox is permitted to access the Web.
I didn't add any software right before this happened. I have always been able to get into Pinterest with no trouble, up till now. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Why when I click on an app it takes a long time to load, like eBay or Pinterest.

When I click on my apps, like Pinterest or eBay, it takes an extremely long time to load. This has just recently started happening and to my knowledge nothing has changed. Safari still appears to be running normally. Can anyone help me?

1. Close all apps in the Task Bar. Double-click the Home button and hold apps down for a second or two. Tap the minus sign to close app.
2. Hold the Sleep and Home button down until you see the Apple Logo.

How can I get my macbook to load photos on Pinterest the little spinner in the address bar spins forever.

I have never been in apple communities so I may not be posing this correctly. Here goes. When I go to my Pinterest account sometimes the pin photos to not appear. If they do and I go to my pin boards none of my pin photos show.
I have turned off my modem, wireless router and shut down my mac numerous times. I have done the disk scan and ran it and it fixed what ever was wrong. Still have the problem. I saw and printed instruction for shuting down the computer and then restarting it while holding down the alt key. Choosing the second option avoiding the macintosh hd option. when the choice loads choose the 'utility disk', then from there run the verify disk scan and click repair disk....then run verify disk permissions scan ,,, then restart
Does this sound feasable ??? I have never done anything like this on my mac and only once a billion years ago on an old pc (safemode?)...
It is just scary to me. I am not afraid to try but would like a little more info on where or what I might be flying into.
All I want to do is get my pictures to show on that site. arrrrg!

Welcome to the forum.
It appears that you are most likely having a GUI display issue. Many/most of the Transition thumbnails are animated, so require some horsepower. Also, PrE relies heavily on the video card's/chip's driver.
I would update the video driver, to the very latest from the mfgr. Do not trust Windows, or any utilities to tell you if you have the latest. Check the mfgr's. Web site. Note: if you have a Dell, Lenovo, HP, Toshiba, or another major computer mfgr's machine, check out their Web site first, as many such mfgrs. will tweak the video drivers for their machines.

If the app won't let you print directly from it you might want to open in safari or make a screen capture then print from your photos.

All of my purchased apps (games) and apps such as Weight Watchers, Facebook, WeatherBug, Sports and Pinterest, Notes, Nook, etc. are all locked up. They simply flash, then nothing! How can I fix this to make them work again.

If none of your third-party apps are working, but the Apple built-in ones are ok, then try downloading any free app from the store (as that appears to reset something) and then re-try them - the free app can then be deleted. In terms of re-downloading apps then you can do so as long as they are still available in the store, and you use the same iTunes account as you originally used to buy them, then you should be able to re-download them for free : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2519
For synced photos, then with the iPad connected to and selected on the left-hand side of your computer's iTunes, then on the Photos tab on the right-hand side you can control which photos are synced to the iPad : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4236 . If you don't want any photos to be synced then try selecting just an empty folder.

Ipad 1st gen: Pinterest no longer working in Safari

I have an Ipad 1st Gen. I have been using Pinterest in Safari with no problems...until now. When I try to go to the website in Safari, it automatically redirects me to download the app. Is there a way to fix this?
I cannot download the app because my IOS is updated as far as it can go, and the Pinterest app requires an IOS higher than what I have.

Ii's not just 1st gen iPads. I have the same issue with my iPad 3. Whether I clickEd my bookmark or manually typed the Pinterest URL, I was immediate redirected to the app. I don't like the Pinterest app, so I deleted it. Now when I try to go to the website, I am redirected to the App Store. So frustrating!
ive complained to Pinterest via Twitter and left a one-star review in the App Store, but have not received a reply, nor have I been able to find a workaround. For now, I'm using Pinterest only on my desktop computer, but I really miss browsing Pinterest on my iPad.

How do I move photos from iPhoto to Pinterest?

I have just downloaded the latest iPhoto. I work a lot with Pinterest, and it would be helpful to be able to move (pin) photos from iPhoto to Pinterest. Since I'm a green horn at this, I'd appreciate a simplistic answer. I thank you!

If you're referring to iPhoto on your iMac then you would export the photos out of iPhoto via File ➙ Export ➙ File Export to a folder on the Desktop. Then upload to Pineterest as you would normally outside of iPhoto.

I continually have problems with Firefox freezing when I try to play Farmville or on Pinterest. Have tried suggested fixes.

I have an HP laptop; windows 7; core i7; wireless. I have been having problems for several months with Firefox freezing or not responding when I try to play farmville or add pins on Pinterest. I have tried the suggested fixes, without much luck. I un-installed Firefox and re-installed ; went thru the fixes for the plug-in etc. I don't know what else to tell you, but I am not very computer literate.

When I pull up my Pinterest website, it will not display pictures, only some words. It's like the links are broken.

When I pull up Pinterest, the pictures on my boards will not show up. It just has some words. It said it may be because my browser was not updated. I was using Internet Explorer and I tried updating to Windows Microsoft 8. That did not solve the problem. I then installed Firefox as my browser but the pictures still do not come up. It did not give me that error message though that my browser was out of date. What do I need to do to make Pinterest work correctly and show images and video clips that are on my boards and on the site in general?

I had this problem. I solved it by disabling the Avast Online Security Extension 9.0.2006.53 updated Dec. 11, 2013.

Pinterest for Gallery

Is / has anyone worked out the pinterest widget for a photo gallery in BC?
In short - are there any tags I can use to substitute the image file that is generated dynamically?
Ideally it would be great for it to appear on the footer of each image that appear in the the lightbox

Have to talk to client - they have about 40+ galleries and just wanted a quick solution to add the pin it button to shots.
would be quicker and cheaper to go with wordpress or other for this I think
From the inner circle - is there any changes on the horizon for the gallery mod? I seemed to read it back quite a while ago (and even saw some screen shots I think) of a new image gallery system in the making?

Hi!!! I have an iPhone 6, 64GB capacity. All the iOS updates are the latest ones. I'm getting pixelated images on instagram, pinterest and even the icons on the app store, I have tried to turn it of and off but it doesn't seems to work... any idea??.

Pinterest doesn't work in Firefox, but works fine in IE

I've just installed the Pinterest toolbar button, and have been trying to pin items in Firefox. I keep getting this error though:
Forbidden (403)
CSRF verification failed. Request aborted.
More information is available with DEBUG=True.
Additionally, when I try to manually pin on the Pinterest site, by inserting a link, it seems to just freeze Firefox. However all of these things work perfectly fine in Internet Explorer.

Try this :
For all who have problem with the standard ALPS touchpad driver in firefox 4; here is a quick registry fix: 1) Open registry with regedit 2) Search for following key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Alps\Apoint 3) Set ScrMethod to 1 4) Reboot
After that scrolling in FF4 should be possible.

It's rather inconvenient to not be able to link to a webpage made in Muse with an image from the slideshow; ditto for Pinterest (I know I can link to the image as a separate page, but that defeats the purpose of linking to our website)

So from what I understand, it isn't simply that your iPhone is not recognized in iTunes for Mac OS X, but it also won't charge when plugged in to any source. If that sounds right, I'd follow these recommended steps:
Battery does not charge
Verify that the outlet being used is working.
Try another USB power adapter if available.
If no other USB power adapter is available, try connecting to a high-power USB 2.0 port (not a keyboard). The computer must be turned on and not in sleep or standby mode.
Try another USB cable if available.

New beta features: share to Twitter, Facebook, & Pinterest

We've added a few beta sharing features for you to try out. Now, you can share to Facebook, Twitter, and Pinterest directly from theme details. We have created a special link to give you access to new features (new feature link)--without this link you won't be able to see the new features. This link will allow you to use the site, same as before, but will also enable the new features that we're looking for feedback on.
To try this feature you will need to sign-in to the site. Then, click on any color theme to view more details. From here, click the "share" icon/link and you will see all the sharing options. Select your preferred option and start sharing.
